2023.05.30 06:07 anon_stranger98 Betrayal in Old School RuneScape: A Tale of Stolen Dreams and Broken Trust

Betrayal in Old School RuneScape: A Tale of Stolen Dreams and Broken Trust
Hey fellow adventurers,
I'm sharing a heart-wrenching story today that took place within the captivating world of Old School RuneScape. Just a couple of months ago, I returned to this incredible game, with a bank value of around 600 million gp and the Tombs of Amascut (ToA) in full swing. During my journey, I had the privilege of crossing paths with some truly amazing gamers who graciously invited me to join their elite 410 invo raids, despite my noob status. Little did I know that this newfound camaraderie would take a devastating turn.
One day, a generous gamer from this group offered to lend me their valuable gear while they were away. I was truly awestruck by their kind gesture, as it demonstrated the warmth and generosity(n't?) of this gaming community. After a couple of days, I returned the borrowed gear, grateful for the opportunity it had given me to grow and excel in the the raid. I poured my heart and soul into countless raids, pushing myself to the limit, and ultimately earning more valuable loot, including my Best-in-Slot (BIS) gear.
Sadly, the gamer who had previously lent me their gear experienced a stroke of misfortune, losing everything due to high-risk activities. Remembering their past support in my times of need, I extended a helping hand without hesitation, just as they had done for me. On the first occasion, they repaid my trust by returning the borrowed items, further strengthening our bond.
However, today's events took an unexpected and heart-wrenching turn. During a Discord call with this gamer, they approached me with a request to borrow my hard-earned gear, citing a need to make some quick ToA money. Fueled by the memories of their past kindness, I happily agreed, naively believing that our friendship would endure any challenge. Little did I know that this act of trust would be shattered so cruelly.
As the hours went by, I attempted to reach out to them, convinced that a technical issue with Discord was causing the communication breakdown. It wasn't until later that I discovered the bitter truth: they had blocked not only me but also everyone on our Discord server before vanishing into thin air, taking my valuable items with them. When I desperately tried to confront them online, they simply logged out, leaving me feeling utterly betrayed.
So, I address this message directly to you, Xemnax, the one who callously abused my trust. I implore you to do the right thing and return what rightfully belongs to me. The gear I entrusted to you represents countless hours of hard work and sacrifice. It is not yours to keep, and your actions have caused immeasurable pain and disappointment.
I share my story not only to seek justice but also to bring awareness to the Old School RuneScape community. Let us stand united against such deceitful acts and ensure that no one else falls victim to this kind of betrayal.
TL;DR: Xemnax, a person I considered a friend in the Old School RuneScape betrayed my trust by stealing the valuable gear I loaned them. These items hold significant in-game value to me, and I worked tirelessly to obtain them. I'm devastated by this betrayal and hope that by sharing my story, justice can be served and others can avoid similar experiences.
PD. Both discord names belong to him @Xemnax @ChaoticOreo. My ingame name is: I Got Pet

2023.05.30 05:36 V_Asharam Fluffy Hair and Brita Modding Help

Hello, I've been modding a server for my friends to play on G-Portal. I'm having trouble trying to add Brita's weapon pack and Fluffy's Hair. With a bit of tinkering, I can get Brita's weapon pack to work, but Fluffy's Hair I don't know if it is compatible with website hosting servers. I read Fluffy's mod page, but it says it is compatible with multiplayer. If it helps here is my mod order on G Portal as well as the numbered workshop ID.

2023.05.30 05:28 Mediarahann Adjusting keyframe value while under the effect of loopOut()

I'm having a circle with the scale property keyframed 100%, 80%, 100%. I added loopOut expression on top of that to make the circle pulsating with those 3 keyframes. Is there anyway I can link the scale value to a multiplier value slider so I can control the magnitude of the keyframes while keeping the looping behavior (and without copy pasting the keyframes) ?
I have tried using linear() but the values go back to the original if I have loopOut() at the last line.

2023.05.30 05:16 asj0107 Flight review sky team

Flight review sky team
Flew with virgin for the first time. I’m a long time delta flyer and was very excited to try the newest addition to sky team and I’m pretty disappointed. The first flight Tampa to London was economy and wasn’t too bad. The leg room was pretty tight but the seats weren’t horrible. The service in economy was okay except one of the flight attendants couldn’t keep her hands out of her mouth while serving drinks and food. We took off at 11pm and basically slept through the entire flight. When we woke up about 2-3 hours before landing everyone else was served breakfast but we were skipped and never offered it for some reason but did receive drinks.
The flight back was again London to Tampa, flying out of Heathrow the service from check in agents was very nice and easy. We went to the designated upper class check in and quickly made it though security. The lounge was super nice and clean. Food was as expected for most lounges, it was just average but that’s all I hope for anyway from lounges. The gate attendants were super nice as we were boarding and I was very excited for this flight as we were flying the retreat suits (1D and 1G) on the a330-900 neo. Super spacious and they had tons of storage right next to you so there was no need to have to put your bag up, the seats were huge and comfortable and the tv was bigger than all the others. It was a very packed flight and as we were waiting for take off the man next to me proceeded to take his bare feet and put them up next to the screen which is something I didn’t think someone would actually do. The flight attendants on this flight seemed promising but we were mistaken, basically we were totally ignored and had to ask several people for different things and usually didn’t even end up getting them. When the attendants started taking dinner orders, they told me I had requested a meal which wasn’t correct and she also kept saying the wrong seat number. The food was different and not super great, the salad was huge slices to orange with leak and goat cheese and the halloumi poke bowl was okay, the halloumi was so hard I couldn’t cut into mine and my boyfriend said his was salty. When desert came around, my boyfriend got an almond cake and she said she’d bring the utensils over, he waited and she walked up and down the cabin about 4 times until he flagged her down and she asked if there’s anything else he wanted, she seemed to have completely spaced on bringing him a spoon. The service was incredibly inconsistent, when you got the flight attendants attention they were friendly and attentive, however once they moved on they seemingly forgot about you, frequently having to ask multiple times for drinks or food. The crew was young and this could be explained by inexperience. For a before landing snack my boyfriend order the chicken sliders and we were told it would take about 10 minutes which of course was no issue, then about 10 minutes later we asked if they were coming and was given a very vague response of no they wouldn’t be. Weirdly enough we did later see other people received the chicken sliders. Before landing flight attendants seemed to not care about getting any dishes or preparing the cabin at all for landing. The doors for the seats were never latched, so the continued flying in and out of the slots for the landing and to have them take our dishes was a challenge to the point that mine was taken with about 7 minutes to landing. I would recommend getting the retreat seats 100% and I did enjoy my flight with virgin sadly the flight attendants were just not great. I have 8 years of restaurant experience and although serving can be hard, it seemed like it was a big struggle which was disappointing I’ve heard very good things about virgin and their team.

2023.05.30 04:49 ErnestGoesToPoop Kudos to “Succession” and “Barry” for being restrained and grounded in reality

Major spoilers for the series finales of Barry and Succession
When a show becomes so popular that it enters the zeitgeist or the daily water-cooler talk, the quality will often waver and most of the time won’t “stick the landing” for the series finale. (cough cough) GOT
It could be for a number of reasons like being so popular the studios keep it going on far too long that it loses its original story and/or causes the writers to stretch ideas just to fill the show order. (Supernatural, Walking Dead, etc)
Or it’s because the studios/writers fall prey to the fanbase and start to write around popular theories, fan-favorite characters, or (worse of all) calls to “ship” characters.
But what was refreshing about Barry and Succession is that they both knew when time was up, and ended it right at the point where the characters finished their intended arcs. Rather than making a new arc or a new twist just for a new season. What I also liked about both shows is that they were very much grounded in reality and didn’t feel the need to make a spectacle or “shocking” finale.
Succession could’ve caved to the cries to have any of the Roy siblings be the successor, but instead went with Tom. (The one person on the show who did any actual work lol) The show was always about rich, self-centered tycoon tots and their journey of discovering that about themselves. They never cared about the actual business, and in the end got put back in their place at the sides of the table. They could’ve had Kendall win or have him jump. Instead they had him imitate the Sad Keanu meme. Nothing shocking, but perfectly fitting.
Barry’s ending was actually a bit shocking but only because I didn’t expect it to be that grounded in reality! But after thinking about it more and more I can’t think of a more “Barry-like” ending. You can tell Bill Hader purposefully wrote and directed it to not only avoid but to lampoon the entire notion of a big action packed shoot-out or dramatic ending. Any shooting lasted one second and only needed one hit. There are so many moments of lingering shots with uncomfortable silences, leaving us to only see what’s happening on face value and wondering what’s really going on in their head. And the movie’s happy ending is exactly the type of happy ending another show would fall victim to.
I feel like in this age of “too much TV” and IP-based shows. It’s refreshing to see two shows that were both original and simple. Just great characters and structured storytelling.
Sure, obviously they are not the first shows to do this. Plenty of other great shows have had similar endings, but -in my opinion - that’s what makes them great.

2023.05.30 04:37 Illustrious-Neat3502 How to Choose a Pet Food Bag?

How to Choose a Pet Food Bag?

1. The benefits of pet food packaging bags

Here are some advantages of pet food packaging bags:
  • Pet food bags are uniquely designed for packaging pet food.
  • Pet food bags are cost-effective and portable.
  • Pet food packaging bags are easy to use. Most pet food bags come with a resealable closure, which makes them very user-friendly.
  • Easy storage of pet food bags is also a huge benefit.
  • It is possible to extend the shelf life of pet food by packaging it in bags.
  • Bags for packaging pet food are available in a variety of sizes for small or large quantities of pet food.
  • Keeping pet food in bags is a convenient way to keep it fresh.
  • Most pet food bags are made from recycled materials.
  • Most of the pet food packaging bags come from biodegradable products, which makes them friendly to the environment.
  • The flexibility of the pet food bag makes it easy to transport.
  • Pet food packaging material with high barrier properties protects contents from harsh weather conditions.
  • Pet food packaging bags are available in various styles and styles.
  • Pet food packaging bag is an innovative way of pet food packaging.
  • After you’ve used up the contents of the bag, you can keep the pet food bag for another use at home.

2. The remarkable features of pet food bags

Some notable features of pet food bags include:
  • Easy to open and close closure
  • Pet food bags are usually stand-up pouches.
  • Pet food bags are produced from materials with high-barrier properties.
  • Clear label style and nutritional information
  • Pet food bags will often have a clear picture of your pet as part of the design. For example, a pet food bag containing dog food will have a picture of the dog printed on it.

3. Common pet food bag styles

Food packaging bags come in many styles, shapes and sizes, and pet food bags are no exception. Some common styles and designs of pet food bags include:
  • Stand-up pouches: These are the best choice for packaging small quantities of pet food. These pouches are the most economical style of pet food bags. The popularity of stand-up pouch designs among pet food bags has declined due to stringent government regulations. Stand-up bags are great spill-resistant bags that prevent products from spilling during shipping and display.
  • Four-seal bag: The pet food bag adopts a four-seal design, which is large. This style of a pet food bag is suitable for packaging large quantities of products. The four-seal bag style provides ample space for advertising and branding on the bag. Although the four-way bag cannot be displayed alone, it is still very conspicuous on the display shelf. This style is also economical.
  • Flat bottom pouch: This style is less economical than other pet food bag styles. The flat bottom pouch style for pet food packaging is suitable for both small and large batches of products. Space is left on the package for branding and nutritional information. The flat bottom of this bag allows it to stand tall when on display.
  • Bottom pockets: Bottom pockets are suitable for large quantities of products. When using this style, you should focus more on the bottom since that is the visible part of the presentation.
  • Pet food bag with spout: This bag has a spout with a lid for easy re-use and opening. This type of pet food bag comes in different shapes and is perfect for packing wet and dry pet food. Spout closure helps keep contents in and prevents spills.
  • Stand-up kraft paper pet food bag: This is a stand-up bag made of kraft paper, available in a variety of shapes. The kraft paper is compostable and the interior is lined for protection from environmental elements.

4. The best material for pet food bags

Most pet food bags have multiple layers and are made from various types of materials, such as PET and PE.Some pet food bags are also made from barrier laminates, coated papers, and power block materials. The material of the pet food bag determines the length of the product’s freshness. Using high-barrier materials for your pet food bags will ensure the longevity of the contents.

5. The difference between roll pet food packaging bags and pouch pet food packaging bags

While pouches are the most popular pet food packaging, there are other less popular options. An example of other pet food packaging is roll-to-roll pouches. Here are some of the differences between roll and pouch packaging for pet food:
  • There are different materials available for pouch packaging, but you have limited options for roll materials.
  • Pet food bags come in different styles, but not in rolls.
  • Your pet food stays fresher longer when it’s in a pet food bag.
  • Pet food packaging bags are high barriers to protect their contents from the adverse effects of the weather.
  • The materials used to make pet food bags are usually puncture resistant, so they offer more protection during shipping. Coil packaging is not as strong as bagged pet food packaging.
  • Using pouches for pet food packaging increases the durability of the packaging. Coil packaging for pet food is not as durable as bag packaging.
  • Bag pet food packaging is made from biodegradable materials that are easy to recycle. The same cannot be said for coil packaging materials.

6. Sustainable pet food bag options

Sustainable packaging refers to the use of packaging materials that are environmentally friendly and do not contribute to the degradation of the planet. Many companies are adopting sustainable packaging methods as it helps reduce their overall carbon footprint. Most manufacturing companies use sustainable materials such as biodegradable materials to manufacture packaging products. Recyclable bags, compostable bags, and paper bags are all options for sustainable pet food bags.
  • Recyclable bags: This sustainable packaging option involves using materials with the same composition so they can be easily converted after use. For example, plastic components are used to make packaging bags, and the plastic is then recycled into another useful product.
In addition to using bags that can be recycled, sustainable packaging also involves reusable packaging.
  • Compostable bags: Another option for sustainable packaging is to use biodegradable materials, that is, they break down easily. Compostable bags help eliminate environmental clutter and help the ecosystem continue to function.
  • Paper bags: Using paper as a packaging bag simply means that the bag is recyclable. This is a great way to make sustainable packaging and save some members of the ecosystem, namely trees.
Besides being recyclable, paper bags are also compostable.

7. Recommended standards for pet food bags

Pet food bags, like other packaging bags, must meet certain standards in order to be distributed and sold.
  • Pet food bags must be FDA-approved and made of food-grade materials. Pet food bags should not contain harmful or toxic substances that could contaminate the product.
  • Water-based ink: You only need to use water-based ink on pet food bags. Water-based inks are environmentally friendly and contain no toxic chemicals. Using water-based ink also ensures that the pet food bags are easy to recycle.
  • Regardless of the number of pet food bags a customer orders, print quality should not be compromised. Printing on pet food bags should be legible regardless of the order quantity.
  • Every material used to make pet food bags must be recyclable and compostable. To ensure that all packaging products are environmentally friendly, pet food bags must meet this requirement.

8. The difference between stock and custom-printed pet food bags

As with other bags, you also have the option to customize your pet food bags or use stock bags. The differences between stock and custom-printed pet food bags include:
  • Stock bags are plain with no design options, but using custom-printed bags gives you design options. While stock pet food bags come in a variety of styles, there is no brand atom on them. The sides of the stock pet food bags are born with no writing of any kind on them.
  • When you customize your pet food bag, you can choose additional extras, unlike stock pet food bags.
  • Custom-printed pet food bags look more aesthetically pleasing than stock pet food bags. When you walk into a store, brightly colored bags are more likely to grab your attention than plain bags.
  • You can get creative with the shapes, sizes and styles of your custom-printed pet food bags. When you choose custom-printed pet food bags, you have complete control over how the bag looks. With stock pet food bags, there is no uniqueness or personal touch on the bag.
  • Custom-printed pet food bags do more to promote your brand than stock bags. Your packaging is your first chance to impress your customers, and stocking pet food isn’t very impressive.
  • Unlike custom-printed pet food bags, stock pet food bags do not incur any additional design or printing charges. One advantage of stock pet food bags over custom printed pet food bags is their cost-effectiveness. If you’re on a tight budget, you might want to opt for stock pet food bags.
  • The delivery and production time of stock pet food bags are longer than that of custom-printed pet food bags. In-stock pet food bags are available on demand, but custom-printed pet food bags take more time to arrive.

9. Custom printing options for pet food bags

The custom printing options available for pet food bags are:

1) Gravure printing:

Also known as reverse printing because it involves printing on the inside of the outermost layer of the bag.

2) Digital printing:

This option involves using a digital printing press to produce high-quality prints. Digital printing is available for fewer order quantities.

3) Hot stamping:

This is a newer printing option that involves using a printing stencil to create a clean and simple design.

4) Flexographic printing:

Flexographic printing is suitable for printing on paper materials. It involves using a flex board.

10. Pet food bag air release system

Trapped air in pet food bags can cause the contents of the bag to break down and deteriorate. Due to trapped air inside, the product may become unstable and reduce shelf life. Pet food bag manufacturers have incorporated features to help remove trapped gas. The two most popular features for releasing trapped air are:
  • Vent valves: These valves allow the release of trapped air from the inside of the pet food bag while preventing oxygen from entering the interior. The removal of oxygen makes the pet food bags more flexible and easier to store. The degassing valve helps keep pet food fresher for longer.
  • Micro perforations: Some manufacturers strategically place microscopic holes in pet food bags to systematically release the trapped air.

11. Closure options available for pet food bags

Closure options available for pet food bags are:
  • Press-to-close zipper: This is a reclosable closure type where you need to press the two sides together to close.
  • Slider closure: This is another reclosable closure as well. You slide the slider from one end of the bag to the other to close or open it.
  • Hook-to-hook closure: To close this type of closure, you simply slide your hand over the bag while pressing down on the hook.
  • Heat seal closure: This is not a resealable closure and is for single-use product sizes.
  • Zipper closure

12. Why and when to choose disposable vs reusable/reusable Pet food bags?

When choosing the type of closure for a pet food bag, you need to consider the amount of product it will contain. You can use the disposable closure when the pet food pouch only holds one serving of pet food. If the pet food bag is more than one serving, you should choose reusable pet food bags. You can also convert pet food bags to other uses when you choose a reusable closure.

13. Additional features applied to customized pet food bags

When customizing your pet food bag, you can request extra features to be added to the bag. These additional features include:
  • Gussets: Some people choose gussets to give the pet food bag a different shape and make it look more unique.
  • Hanging hole: This function is mainly used for non-standing pet food bags. The hanging hole is used to hang the bag on the shelf for display.
  • Small gate
  • Perforation
  • Extended lips
  • Enlarging headers and footers: You have the option to increase the size of headers and footers on pet food bags.
  • Mixed net
  • Window
  • Handle
  • Curved edge

14. Key considerations for designing effective pet food bags

When choosing a pet food bag design, there are certain factors to consider. Some key factors you need to consider include:
  • Product quantity: The quantity of pet food you want to bag will determine the style, shape and size of the bag.
  • Bag size: The next thing you should consider is the size of the bag you need. After you decide how much product you want, you can decide what size bag will be appropriate.
  • Design and materials: Packaging design is the first thing your customers see, so make sure you pay attention to it. The material and branding of your packaging is your first opportunity to sell your product to consumers.
  • The target consumer: Pet food bags for dogs look different than bags for the cat or fish food. You need to consider this to design a specific pet pack for your target pet.
  • Budget: This is probably the most important factor you need to consider when designing your pet food bag. The amount of money you invest in a design project determines which design options are available to you.
  • Availability of your material of choice: You will need to check with your manufacturer to ensure that the material required for your design is available.

15. Choose the color for the PET food bag

When choosing a color for your pet food bag, you can choose from up to seven colors. It is usually best to use Pantone colors as Pantone will give you the exact shade you are looking for. When printing on packaging materials such as kraft paper, you can use a variety of colors. The more colorful your pet food bags, the more customers you will attract.

16. Surface treatment options for pet food bags

The finish of your pet food bag can have a huge impact on your brand appeal. The finish options are as follows:
  • Matte finish: This type of surface finish doesn’t look shiny or attractive from a distance. It makes your pet food bag look more mature and elegant. Prints on matte surfaces are easier to read in bright light. Pet food bags made of paper-based materials such as kraft paper have the best matte finish.
  • Glossy finish: Pet food bags with a glossy finish are more eye-catching and attractive due to their glossy properties. The smooth surface makes your pet food bags look better. Although it can be difficult to see the print on the glossy surface under bright lights, it is still a popular finish for pet food bags. Many manufacturers prefer a glossy finish because it imparts a noticeable shine to the packaging.
  • Metallic finish: A metallic finish is shiny like a gloss finish, but the gloss has a metallic tinge. Metal finishes are similar to glossy finishes, but a higher end. Finishing the surface of a pet food bag can improve the overall appearance of the bag. The surface treatment also makes the pet food bags more resistant to corrosion and other weather conditions.

17. Factors affecting the cost of pet food bags

Here are the factors that affect the price of pet food bags:
  • Materials used to make pet food bags: Some material options are more expensive than others. The more expensive the material you use for production, the more expensive the pet food bag, and vice versa.
  • Size of the bag: Larger pet food bags cost more than smaller pet food bags because more materials are involved in production.
  • Additional features: The number of additional features on a pet food bag can add to or subtract from the original cost.
  • Types of pet food bags: Stock pet food bags cost much less than custom-made pet food bags.
  • Design of pet food bags: The use of more advanced printing technology and expensive post-processing increases the cost of pet food bags.
We design and manufacture the best pet food bags that meet food safety standards.

2023.05.30 04:23 drabbiticus What are your prototyping supply essentials?

What supplies do you like to keep stocked so that if you have an idea you can bring a prototype to life or do a repair without having to place an orderun out to some store? I'm interested in both general categories and specific items that you like to stock, and if/when you would stock multiple styles/sizes in a category.
My mental list, not based on experience, would be something like the following:
Trying to figure out what other goodies I might consider putting into an order. I get that there is value to ordering exactly what you need for a given project, but I've found in other hobbies that sometimes it's nice to have a ready supply of stuff on hand that you can improvise with and which have general utility. I get that what works for you might not work for me, but I'm curious anyway.
Right now I basically just have some ripstop, some 7/8 inch grosgrain and some paracord from a small pouch. Mostly interested in daypack/light hiking packs and household accessories right now. Future also clothing and small camp accessories maybe? Distant future hammock/quilt/tarp/shelter systems?

Any idea what the best boxes are to find good cards for your value? I’m 20, haven’t collected since I was 12, and pretty much only collected older cards when I did (50s-80s). Trying to get back in it and the local shop isn’t much help. Best packs/boxes to find decent hits even tho they’re rare, for a novice? Thanks. (Pic for attention I guess? I’m a buckeye)

Hello everyone! Still looking to sell a lot of great stuff. I’ll be prioritizing trades for the Shining Zard, ideally a 1:1. I would love to put it toward a Sightseer. I also would consider a 1:2 for an UP Lillie + another high end want.
When it comes to my grading pile, I'm only interested in trading up. I am much more lenient in trading from my raw PC (excluding the Munch promos). If you are sending me close ups then please include a video of the surface (front and back) as I am very picky about condition.
Shipping is 1$/5$ PWE/BMWT for US. Shipping to Canada would be 1$/12$ PWE/BMWT. If you have less trades than me then I ask that you ship first. Everything should be in the spreadsheets. If something is missing then please ask.
Wants (Raw NM/M Only, preferably well centered) (Ordered from most wanted to least)
FF PayPal (Top Priority)
Specific Raw Wants (Interested in RH for the cards displayed as non-holo) (Prioritizing JPN > ENG) (Sightseer is top priority for JPN wants/Ultra Prism Lillie is top priority for ENG wants)
Sealed Wants
Legendary Collection Holos/Reverse Holos
E-Reader Holo/RHs
NM/M Masaki Omastar + Alakazam
Anything else you think I might like :)
Grading Pile (Only for trade, will be picky) (Can generally expect 9-10 here, by CGC standards)
Grading Pile Spreadsheet
Personal Collection (Raw and Graded) (Only for trades unless marked as FS) (Super picky on Munch promos)
Raw PC Spreadsheet (Bigger cards are priced, working on the rest)
Graded PC Spreadsheet
FS English (For sale and trade)
FS English Condition/Price Spreadsheet
FS Japanese
FS Japanese Condition/Price Spreadsheet
For Sale CGC/PSA Slabs
For Sale Slabs Spreadsheet
Shiny Lot (Asking 90$ on this lot, all but a few are NM)
Pop Series 6: 50$
Pop Series 9: 15$
12x Champion's Path Pin Collection [Hulbury Gym]: 35$ each with shipping included or 365$ for all 12

2023.05.30 03:00 KimJontheILLest TIFU by using Zipcar

This happened today.
My girlfriend and I live in separate apartments in Brooklyn, but we share a storage unit near her place. I'd gotten a Zipcar subscription for a trip last month, which left me with a monthly fee that I was looking to justify. So I reserved a car for an hour and half to go pick up some of my crap. That's a half hour to get there, a half hour to pack, and a half hour to lug the stuff up to my place. This will become important later.
I apparently took longer than anticipated packing things up, and, as I'm pulling up to my place, I realize that the "meter" on my reservation is nearly up. Don't really love that you have to anticipate your trip down to the minute, but figure they'll just charge me for an extra hour and it'll cost me an another $15. Boy was I wrong.
Parking is scarce, so I double park, throw on the hazards, exit the car, shut the driver-side door, and go to start unloading my stuff. Hmm this is odd... I didn't lock the car, and yet the door doesn't open. I know, I'll use my phone to unlock it (you use the Zipcar app to unlock their rentals). Hmm, that's strange, the doors remain locked. This is when I start to realize that when the reservation for your Zipcar runs out, they don't just hit you with a fee -- they unceremoniously lock you out of the car completely.
So here's this car, double parked on a busy road, blocking some other poor guy's car in, with all my stuff locked inside. And the best part -- my cat's in there.
Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you, I'd spent the night at my girlfriend's, and brought my cat to stay with us. After shoving all my crap into the car, I'd loaded Kinko in for the trip back to my place. So now she's traped inside the car, locked in her carrier, on the first official day of Summer. WTF.
I call Zipcar. I grit my teeth and calmy explain the situation to an insufferably chipper customer service representative for a company that I'm beginning suspect doesn't have my best interests at heart.
I tell her that her company has locked my things inside of their car.
I tell her that her company has locked my cat inside of their car.
I tell her that it is hot out.
She asks for my ID number.
I tell her that her company has locked my ID inside of their car.
She asks for the last four digits of my credit card.
I tell her that her company has locked my credit card inside of their car.
She says something along the lines of, "well that's a pickle."
It's around this time that I'm approached by an elderly man who announces himself as the owner and operator of the car, which is now obstructed by this imobile rental catake-all-my-shit device. He asks if I could kindly move the vehicle, because he's experiencing a medical episode and is about to drive himself to the emergency room. WTF.
I explain to the customer service rep that there's now a very real chance that a curteous, elderly bystander may die, because her company has decided to suddenly and without warning transform the car I had rented into a large, immovable hunk of crap. I tell her that this is unacceptable, that if it were her, she would not want to die because an uncaring service representative of an uncaring car rental company chose to value their rental policy over a human life.
She thinks this over. She asks if I can hold. A minute goes by, then two... five... ten. A man is dying. I am freaking out. Something must be done.
The garage where I was supposed to drop off the car is actually very close to my apartment. I run to it. I find an attendant there, and I told him the story -- albeit, with less color -- that you read now.
I ask him to unlock the car.
He tells me he might get fired if he does.
I tell him that their are lives on the line. That the fate of an elderly man and a very good cat rest in his hands.
He stares off into space, and a for a moment I can almost see the conflict inside of him, as the pragmatism of his intellect wrestles with the better angels of his heart. He looks back at me.
He asks where the car is. Soon, my cat is free and an elderly man tragically drives himself to the emergency room.
Oh, and the late fee I expected? It was easily more expensive than the entire trip. Fuck you Zipcar.
TL;DR: I rented a zipcar, but underestimated how long I would need it, so Zipcar locked me out with my cat inside, and blocking an old man from driving himself to the hospital.

Not gaining grain?
I’ve started playing on a new server and for some reason I cannot accumulate grain. My grain stays at zero because it gets all taken up by collecting knights. Can someone tell me how to fix this ? I have another account on an older server and never experienced this problem. I don’t know what I did wrong :-(

2023.05.30 02:47 BeardedOrphan Finished Project Ozone 3 Mythic Mode(Image walkthrough of my final base plus my thoughts and tips on the pack for any interested)

I wanted to share my final base with anyone interested in playing the pack and share some thoughts/tips to help other people get through some of the harder aspects of the grind. Here is the link to my base with basic explanations of each island:
I have been playing the pack on kappa mode since kappa first came out and usually give up whenever I hit a wall that I was not prepared to overcome. I played 4 separate playthroughs of kappa mode, making it further each time. In my last kappa playthrough I made it to creating 1 of each creative item then stopped when attempting the chaos catalyst. I didnt really intend to play the pack again but then about 4 months ago I noticed that mythic mode had been added and decided to give it one more go.
Ultimately I had to make a few small changes to the pack for my own sanity, I added the loot capacitor tooltips mod to make the mid game flow a bit smoother by allowing me to more easily crafting high tier loot capacitors, I removed the EMC value for the mekanism pipes because it didnt work properly and was deleting the higher tier pipes in my ME system any time I put them away, fixed the chaos catalyst recipes since it was reusing the ethaxium ingot instead of the body stone(but this ended up not mattering because it doesn't reuse anything when using the automation interface anyway) and finally I shortened the time the crafting core takes to make the chaos bauble because I needed like 3-4k of them and I REALLY didn't want to either create 16 crafting core setups to finish them in a day or just afk for a week. Other than that the pack was played completely as it came.
Ultimately the pack was a ton of fun this playthrough, I didn't really run into any walls that seemed insurmountable this time around and I only had two instances where I crashed my game and had to use MCedit to delete blocks to get back in. I think the early/mid and early late game items up until the chaos plank were all balanced really well. I liked all of the mods in the pack except for Lordcraft and Abyssalcraft. Lordcraft actually had some redeeming qualities this playthrough that made me like it a little bit but the lack of automation made it impossible to enjoy while actually progressing the quest line and making items later in the game. Abyssalcraft just felt like a complete waste of time in every playthrough I have done, it doesn't seem to bring any value to the pack and I would have much preferred just about any mod to take its place.
In the late game(from creative items to omen ingots) I felt like most of it was balanced well and enjoyable. I really wanted to make the creative ME storage cell without having to actually use the creative chest to dup chaos planks and omen ingots but unfortunately that proved way too tedious due to the number of creative items and chaos plank items that were not automatable. To make the creative energy cell you need 46 omen ingots which is 292 chaos planks. This means 292 of each creative item and 10512 chaos ingots which is 115632 chaos catalysts. I made all 115632 chaos catalysts and was able to make 292 of about 3/4 of the creative items but the everlasting guilty pool requires runes of mana(this may be automable but its pretty janky) and the creative mill requires irradiant stars. These and a few other items are completely non-automatable and would have taken around 6-10 hours each to craft the necessary runes and stars which I absolutely did not want to manually do. I think this is an unfortunate design flaw and I would have preferred that every item needed in the end game was automatable in some way.
This is definitely my favorite mod pack I have played through but I think this will probably be my last time playing through it because I have a bit over 1k hours played now across all my po3 playthroughs and the next time I come back to modded minecraft I will probably look for a mod pack on a newer version of the game.
Here is a screenshot of my leaderboard stats for the mythic playthrough(probably about half of the playtime is afk waiting for the end game items to craft):
Here is a link to my tips so that this wall of text doesn't get any longer than it already is:
I probably forgot a bunch of tips, especially for the early mid game so I may update the list if I think of things I forgot.

2023.05.30 02:38 mikosullivan Xeme: I'd value your opinion on my new Ruby gem

I've been using a standard result reporting format for years, so I've decided it's time to publish it for the community.
Xeme provides a standard structure for answering the basic questions of "what happened?" and "did it work?" about a process. I developed the standard in an evolutionary way, using it in my own software for testing and general results reporting. I found that if a function simply returns true or false, that doesn't tell me much about what happened inside of it. Errors especially need more information than that.
Xeme is a simple hash structure with standard keys like `success`, `errors`, `warnings` etc. I use it mainly for testing to have a standard way of checking on success or failure, and getting an organized list of errors. I also use it in some APIs that return JSON.
Xeme is intended to be a general purpose structure (mainly in JSON) for any language, not just Ruby. My gem implements Xeme in a (hopefully) friendly manner, allowing you to start with the basics and build in complexity as you use it more.
My gem is on GitHub and on RubyGems. I'd value any opinions the community has.

Seeking Playtesters for my hobbit hole before I officially upload! Please let me know if there are routing issues. I’m ok with the narrow hallway & not being able to run in he work out interaction on the TV. More info in post!
Hiya! Thank you so much for considering helping me playtest! I’ve already playtested it with my Sims family and fixed the issues they encountered while they were on vacation here ☺️ However, it is always possible that I’ve missed something. The goal is that everything that is supposed to be routable can be routed to by Sims.
I built the lot on Belomisia Field Station in Selvadora. It was build to match these surroundings but it also works on the Cordelia’s Secret Cottage lot in Henford. (My opinion, anyway!)
I got quite annoyed with the staircase while building. It didn’t originally look like that but I had a difficult time getting it to end at the “corner”. (You’ll see what I mean!) I tried for a few hours, but I eventually just left it. If you can figure out how to make it end at the corner instead of jutted out — great! Otherwise, Sims have routed fine despite the hall being so small. ⬅️ This is most important.
I do keep lighting mods in my game, so please let me know if some spaces are too dark, and I’ll add some extra lights. They also might be fine!
As for the TV, my Sims can’t run the work out interaction but honestly… they’re in Selvadora or Henford (that’s the ideal, anyway) and they can just go for a jog outside and/or do push-ups indoors if it’s raining haha. I haven’t tried it but I assume I have to get rid of the coffee table for that to work or move the TV somehow. It’s not so important to me unless someone’s Sim really wants to work out on the TV… however, if it’s an easy fix without compromising the look, please let me know!
Again, the goal is just that everything is functional, routable, and that anyone who downloads this doesn’t have to fix more than 1 or 2 items. I do feel like everyone’s game seems to operate individually sometimes 🙂 (like how not everyone experiences the same bugs)
Thank you so much!
