2023.06.02 13:03 thelittlemiss Sweat Steady Saturdays Date (06/03/2023) Time (09:30 am et) 45 min Sweat Steady Ride Jess King
Hi everyone! Happy June.
This Saturday we will be taking this
45 min Sweat Steady Ride from 10/05/2019. Older Sweat Steady classes (2019/2020) tend to be more challenging then recent classes. The difficulty level for this class is 8.7.
This playlist is another one of Jess’s eclectic mixes featuring Death Cab for Cutie, Walk the Moon, NIN, Disclosure, Diplo, Busta Rhymes, TV on the Radio, Barry White, etc.
Use our community hashtag #RedditRiders so we can find each other and if you’d like to make friends, drop your leaderboard name below!
How to join the group ride: Join the class on-demand at 9:30 am et DO NOT join a session. Why not a session? We like to give riders the option to join a few minutes early or later without them missing any workout time. This give everyone a little wiggle room to join.
If you have any suggestions or feedback for me, feel free to include them in the comments. We hope to see you on the leaderboard!

2023.05.29 16:43 r4ndy4 RedditPZ Powerzone training program sign-up thread! Starts Monday 06/05/23
Hi everyone, hope you all enjoyed the break! Below is the 12th PZ training program I have put together for Reddit. If you are new to PZ training, I have some more info about that in the thread for program #1. If you are looking for FTP test advice, see this
comment I made in week 8 of a previous program. There is no need to actually "sign up" for the program, simply follow along with the program starting next week.
Link to Program #1 Link to Program #2 Link to Program #3 Link to Program #4 Link to Program #5 Link to Program #6 Link to Program #7 (PYPZ) Link to Program #8 Link to Program #9 Link to Program #10 Link to Program #11 The program will run for 9 weeks total, and I have given a recommended ride schedule of 4 days / week. Like the previous programs feel free to alter it in any way that you need. If you want to do 3 rides, cut out the Wednesday ride. You are welcome to do additional rides, but I would make sure that they are easier than what I have programmed below. I.e. adding more 45 / 30 PZE, or a fun ride, just keep the intensity lower (i.e zone 2/3 max). Proposed ride days are again Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday, but you may take the rides on any day and in any order to fit your needs. Feel free to make any changes you feel necessary. If you are not feeling it on a certain day / week, listen to your body and take it easy. If you do not want to repeat a ride you have taken before (or just want to replace a ride), replace it with a ride of a similar or lower TSS score.
Anyone may join in including experienced riders or beginners. PZ rides are designed to be at your current fitness levels. I will try to answer questions anyone has. I will post a weekly accountability / discussion thread on Sundays (with the schedule for each week) and use that thread throughout the week for general discussions about the rides or whatever you want to talk about. Disclaimer that I am not a professional trainer or anything like that. I just really like PZ training, and this is a schedule I put together for myself (and for anyone else who wants to follow along).
We do group rides for the Saturday rides at 10 AM CST. The program will start on Monday, June 5th. Add the hashtag #redditPZ if you would like to. Hope to see you all on the rides.
Below is both the class link, and a link to the graph of the PZ ride on home fitness buddy. (Along with estimated TSS scores) The graphs on home fitness buddy also have a direct link to each class now.
TSS (training stress score) is basically a measure of the stress put on your body from the ride (numbers listed are an estimate using the duration and intensity of the ride). Basically, the higher the number, the harder the ride. A 1 hour at your FTP that would be a TSS of 100. A 30-minute ride at your FTP would be a TSS of 50.
Since people always ask, there is no need to actually sign up or post anything. Simply follow along with us starting next week!
We now have a discord if you want to join. Week 1: TSS 178

2023.05.21 15:06 RobotDevil222x3 Reddit Strength - Week 1.4
Based on last week's feedback we will continue with this format rather than switch to a traditional "Split" program. If anyone is interested in a split instead I would suggest using the three benchmark classes (see previous posts for the others) as your split and adding that day's core to it.
Welcome back to week one of eight of the Reddit Strength program. I hope you've all been enjoying it so far. If you're brand new to this or missed any previous weeks, this is something you can jump into any given week you don't need to have been there week one for it to work. This strength schedule is designed to help you progress from one weight to the next (if that is what you want, you are of course free to maintain the weights you use as well). There is a #RedditStrength for those interested in joining it.
This is an eight week cycle that repeats. Each time we come around again I'll be looking for a couple newer classes to replace some of the older classes previously used.
Each class will list "light" or "heavy", this is not to be confused with the Light/Medium/Heavy weights instructors ask you to use for each move. What it means is, lets say you normally use 5/10/20 but you are hoping to level up to 10/15/25. When my class says "light" you would use your 10s when the instructor calls for medium weights and when my class says "heavy" you would use your 15s for the same move. This will help us to progress to where the 15s are your new normal.
Monday:
Wednesday:
Friday:
Extra Credit
Benchmark: Every 2 weeks (unless feedback is you'd prefer every 4) we will repeat these classes to measure our progress. Do everything you can in these classes (similar to an FTP test for PZers). You can measure yourself any way that works for you; number of reps, weights used, or just how tired you feel afterwards.
Extra Credit: These are extra classes for those who want more work than the standard schedule. They are also good substitutions if for any reason you don't like a class or instructor on the schedule.
You can stop reading here unless you want to know why I am scheduling what I am scheduling. The basis is a 4 week progression. In each body area we will use light weights for 2 weeks then heavy weights for two weeks per the definition of light and heavy above.
It follows this pattern, aiming for 30-60 minutes a day 3 days a week:
- Round 1 - 2 days light
- Round 2 - 3 days light
- Round 3 - 2 days heavy
- Round 4 - 3 days heavy
Each body area has the schedule staggered, so you're not trying to go all heavy in every area in the same week. This week we have A&S in round 1, C&B in round 4 and G&L in round 3.
Stretching Some have requested stretches to go along with the strength work. I haven't been scheduling them because I tend to do a few of the same ones over and over. Its usually one of these or I am trying out a new one, but use whatever works for you.
Feedback I would love to hear what everyone things. Specifically; Are there any classes you would like me to rotate out (why)? Is this the right amount of strength work for you? Do you have a favorite class you are hoping I work into the mix?
Edit I might not be around for a bit, so posting the full 8 week schedule so that people can continue with their workouts.

2023.05.16 00:40 blergyblergy Missing Eurovision? Peloton Finally Has Eurovision Classes
https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/cycling?modal=classDetailsModal&classId=b99161d3291d4fc48d229210001585d7 ^The link above is for a super fun 30 minute cycling ride with a bubbly British instructor named Bradley Rose. It flew by! I like how the intro had the semi-random song
Hero by Charlotte Perelli. The playlist includes Fairytale, Ooh Ah..., Making Your Mind Up, and many other amazing songs. Being able to listen to those while working out made pedaling way easier ;)
There are other classes on the Peloton app (you don't need a Peloton treadmill or bike, per se) about Eurovision, but they are called Euro Pop. What I don't get is why they can't call it Eurovision? Bradley mentioned the term at one point, but he called it Euro Pop at the beginning and end, and he referred to it as "the contest" or "the competition." He implied at the end that he couldn't call it by its real name. This is so weird to me...even Disney allows its name to be used for rides, and they get quite litigious. How is Eurovision stricter than Disney?!? Maybe the idea for the ride is new and Eurovision will approve it at some point but hasn't formally done so yet. I am so confused :0
In any event, check out their programming! It is GREAT!

2023.05.15 00:01 r4ndy4 RedditPZ training program - Week 9 Discussion Thread
Week eight down, and on to week nine! Use this thread to discuss this week's rides (or last weeks). Add the hashtag #redditPZ if you would like to.
Congratulations to everyone who finished (all or part of) the program!! Huge thank you to everyone who joined in (new and old members). Next program will start on Monday, June 5th if you all want to continue riding with the group. I will post the program / sign-up thread for the next round on Monday, May 29th so be on the lookout!
This week is a de-load week to do some endurance and let our bodies recover before the next FTP. Make sure you are rested up before the re-test. Personally I like to take an easy 30 min PZE ride or maybe a 20-30 minute scenic ride keeping it in zone 2 the day before. Re-testing is not a requirement, but if you feel your fitness has changed (for better or for worse), I would go ahead and get it done. Not everyone will have increases, and that is totally okay and sometimes normal.
Again thank you all for joining in the program with me! I hope you all had fun and got fitter. Be sure to let us know how the next FTP goes! I'll post an off block thread next Sunday so we can all stay in touch over the break.
We now have a discord if you want to join **Group Ride for the Saturday rides is at 10 AM central.**
**(Gala-papa would like to note to start the ride at 9:59 exactly so you will begin at 10 after the 1 minute countdown). Also do not join the ride in a session.**

Wait, you just said eight of eight, does this mean it is ending? No, it will just be looping back around again. Next week we will go back to week 1's schedule again, with a couple of substitutions based on feedback, any purged classes, and the desire to occasionally mix in a new class.
Each class will list "light" or "heavy", this is not to be confused with the Light/Medium/Heavy weights instructors ask you to use for each move. 2023.05.02 22:53 KoronaV ONE 10 minute row workout available !!
Hey all. I typed in "ROW" in the workout search on the website, and low and behold, there is a
10 Minute R&B Row by Ash available.
When I search on the App, I can see the scenic rows. I am unable to START any of these, but it looks like I can do the 10 Minute R&B Row with Ash. I'm going to try it out after work tonight on my WaterRower.
Hopefully more to come!!!
EDIT: It looks like the scenic classes can be downloaded (preloaded,) but they are causing an error when attempting to download.
EDIT 2: Looks like Peloton took it down. I guess using our ALL ACCESS membership on a 10 minute rowing class was a bit too much to enjoy, lol

Monday:
Wednesday:

Extra Credit:

2023.04.16 14:38 RobotDevil222x3 Reddit Strength - Week 4.3
Welcome to week four of the Reddit Strength program. I hope you've all been enjoying it so far. If you missed any previous weeks, this is something you can jump into any given week you don't need to have been there week one for it to work. And if you're taking it easy this holiday week, no problem you can always jump right back in next week. This strength schedule is designed to help you progress from one weight to the next (if that is what you want, you are of course free to maintain the weights you use as well). There is a #RedditStrength for those interested in joining it.

2023.04.14 16:28 RobotDevil222x3 Jess King Saturdays Date (04/15/2023) Time (08:30 am ct) 30m The Jess King Experience Jess King
Hi everyone and happy Friday! This Saturday since there is no Sweat Steady on the schedule we will be continuing with JKE rides by taking
this 30 min The Jess King Experience ride. (this is at our normal time, I think there was confusion last time I scheduled one because I list them in CT rather than ET)
What is The Jess King Experience? What began as regular live DJ rides with Jess King and DJ John Michael, The Jess King Experience classes have evolved into heavily EDM inspired rides. In terms of difficulty, these classes have wide cadence and resistance callouts, so they’re suitable for everyone.
How to join the group ride: Join the class on-demand at 8:30 am ct DO NOT join a session. Why not a session? We like to give riders the option to join a few minutes early or later without them missing any workout time. This give everyone a little wiggle room to join.
Use our community hashtag #RedditRiders so we can find each other and if you’d like to make friends, drop your leaderboard name below!
If you have any suggestions or feedback for us, feel free to include them in the comments. We hope to see you on the leaderboard!
