Hi, new to this page but coming here hoping for some input regarding my situation, 6 years i ago I was raped at a friends house days after he had been released from his first CSC charge, I proceeded to go to ER, had rape kit preformed, went to court and ended up offering a plea deal of 5 years due to my mental health at that time as I was a mess and felt so overwhelmed and disconnected from the world, I didn’t think I could handle a trial, he ended up getting out in 2 years and has been out for 4 years, I then receive a call the other day from the local police department letting me know they have a subpoena for me, upon asking what it was in regards too he let me know this guy had been picked up once again for another sexual assault charge, and they’re wanting me to testify in court, this was all a huge blow to me as I have tried very hard to move past what happened to me and the drug addictions that came after for a year, I have changed my whole life since this time and it just feels like doing this and bringing this all back up with all the emotions that come with it would be a major setback in my life as well as my mental health, but I feel so torn because I think my help could try to ensure this never happens again as it is his 3rd CSC charge, this all seems very overwhelming and i don’t know what is the right thing to do, hoping someone has any insight or advice they’d like to share, thanks so much!

So over the last 11 months I have been slowly on a decline in my life, I'm hoping that what I'm experiencing is schizophrenia but I don't know very much about it.
The symptoms first started around October last year, As mild auditory hallucinations, that came and went with some drug use. I figure hey it's just the drugs right?. Since then it is now May and I have been experiencing auditory hallucinations ( or at least that's what I call it) for a 8 weeks solid from the time I wake up to the time I fall asleep.
I've also gained a unique ability to picture things extremely clearly in my mind for the first time in my life. I've never had much of an imagination but it seems like now it's become extremely active.
One of the things I've done over the last few months is challenge the 4 voices they are the voices of my Ex partner, my abusive father who only speaks during a time of discpline but has actually recently changed from that to a more compassionate approach, which is VERY strange considering the fact that the only memory i have of him is him yelling, some random woman I do not know who is apprently my exs best friend, and a man that assimilates to different positions of law enforcement or criminal profiler. The names of the profiler have changed, but my Ex and father have remained the same.
I have had extremely strange reactions to the transfer of internal dialog to an external hallucination, where I have had a thought and someone in the community basically revealed one of the most private things I thought. I have moved to cities where I knew absolutely no one and had someone finger me out of a crowd as if they knew everything about me.
I have challenged the voices to speak French as I am bilingual and suddenly, two of them overlapping got extremely angry that I was speaking French and explained to me that only my father was embarrassed about this "program" because he never learnt how to speak French. An emotion that I never knew he had concerning the language.
Words that I have never used have been introduced into the dialogue as well.
Over the last month I have been paying attention to my emotions and have realized that each emotion I have had has almost it's own audio playback that repeats, like if I take a deep breath and sigh, a voice will robotically or like a computer say "aggrevation" then the human like voices will laugh.
I have tried to commit suicide 7 times in the last 2 months. Warning graphic.
As soon i drove a kitchen knife into my wrist twice and began bleeding into the sink the voices instantly changed from kill yourself to what the fuck are you doing stop it and fix your self, clean up the mess. Ive always been under the impression that schizophrenic voices will stop at nothing in berating you into commiting suicide. But the dialogue changes so often from negative to, "were just trying to help you understand there are consequences to your actions".
I have heard key words and phrases and uses of figures of speech. Which believe it or not in Canada is a way to reinforce the freedom of speech without getting into trouble. The figure of speech is in regards to a program created by law enforcement called necessary evil, or a bullet to the head. The only apparent way for someone to be rehabilitated.
I'm doing my best right now not to seem paranoid about law enforcement. But they are seemingly involved in the dialog.
The narrative of experiences are as follows
1st). I experienced auditory hallucinations that a serial killer was hunting me across Canada from the 4th dimension, which is hilarious because I don't believe in that kind of stuff.
2nd). Next came the idea that I was a vegetable and I'm too mentally incapable to do anything on my own. And that being lobotomized was the only answer.
3rd). A rehabilitation program intended to either make me kill myself or turn myself into the police with threats of doing life in prison for the audio that the "voices" have created in order to manipulate me into complying.
4th). Every city I have moved to I hear the name of the city followed by "wants nothing to do with you".
Each voices spends a great amount of time elaborating how there trying to help me. And I spend a large amount of time in my head passing them off. It's almost like a game.
THE CONSTANT OF EACH SCENARIO: turn my self in to the police department for charges that arent even real. I have called the police on myself 3 different times now to find out if im wanted and even had two officers bring me to the hospital, then release me.
The strangest part about this experience is something called electrical interference. Whenever anything electric fires up intense hallucinations occur, but I can actually hear conversations of the voices underneath the hallucinations. Which makes no sense to me. Also do the voices in schizophrenia speak to each other almost as if im not listening? Like as if they're planning something against me.
Now I know this is going to sound extremely crazy, but what if you could prove that you aren't schizophrenic and that your being made to believe you mentally ill when you've been in front of psychs and have no diagnoses. I have recorded my voice, speaking inside my Mind coming out of a television speaker confirmed by another human being who was not under any influence. Can someone please explain to me how that would be possible. I have heard they have technology out there from companies like "brain wave". To be literal that would be the exact definition of telepathy. Which isn't real.
I'm asking someone to message me, a kind of professional courtesy from either a specialist in the field of psychology or someone who has had a similar experience. I would really appreciate the help, honestly I'm tired of trying to kill myself.

Law enforcement then found me, in another county, 50 minutes from my home, heading in the opposite direction, unable to tell them where I lived, unable to answer or follow simple commands, telling them over & over again that I could not see, all while holding my hands over my ears…a 55-year-old woman, with no criminal background, in a ditch on a sunny Easter Sunday. Was I then taken to the ER? Did I then receive immediate medical attention & doctors discovered that I had been drugged & raped? No, I was handcuffed, arrested & thrown in jail. Fourteen hours later I came to in a cell, not knowing where I was, why I was there, raped, sodomized, actively bleeding, I couldn’t see clearly & had no peripheral vision. I was told I was being charged with OUI & refusal of test, Failure to Stop & Failure to Sign the Summons documents for those first two charges. OUI & refusal of test? I was clearly drugged; I have watched the dash cam. Failure to stop? I was driving 30 miles an hour in a ditch!?! Failure to Sign a Summons? I did not even know my own address & I could not see. To add to this, as I sat in that jail cell drugged & bleeding, my bank account was systematically being emptied.
I have been through rape exams, sobbing breakdowns, interviews, medications, sobbing breakdowns, blood tests, sobbing breakdowns, urine tests, sobbing breakdowns, vaginal exams, more interviews & more sobbing breakdowns. I have obtained legal counsel, a trauma therapist, have reported this to local police, the sheriff’s department, the district attorney’s office; I have supplied easily over 200 pieces of documentation, evidence, bank statements, lab results, affidavits, photos, names of other women that have been drugged, raped & left in the same ‘Rape Basement’ as me. To date I still have not heard from the sheriff’s department or the DA’s office; it has now been 48 days since this happened to me.
Additionally, I requested to speak with the chief of Waterville PD & was denied, I asked to speak to the head of Waterville Detectives & was denied, I asked for them to give my statement & evidence to the head of detectives & that was also declined. I asked if they had a specialized Sexual Assault Detective & was told only cases of child rape go to that individual. I asked why my case had not been assigned to a detective & they told me it had been assigned to a patrol officer & a detective could help out if needed. I then attempted to report this crime to the County Sheriff's Department & the Maine State Police & they told me that they could not take my statement due to not having jurisdiction over it & sent me back to Waterville PD.
The fiscal out of pocket cost for me to date is $12,738.64 & that amount is still rising. I am burning through my EBT time, I am struggling to work, leave my home & my vehicle is undrivable. This also does not include the ongoing cost of trauma therapy & the cost of the added bonus of now having an incurable STD that for the rest of my life I will need to take medication for. To which I might add; I had to share my sexual activity with law enforcement; which it has been 10 years since I was sexually active (not that if I was sexually active it should matter).
The last time I have actually heard from law enforcement that was conducting this investigation was 13 days ago when an officer called to ask me if “I drank daily, If I drank to the point of black out & how often did I drink?” To which I supplied each & every date in the past year that I have had a beer along with each receipt & picture of me during that time having the beer. I do not have a history of alcohol addiction, I do not have a history of drug addiction, I have never received any alcohol nor drug rehabilitation services (not that if I had, that should make this rape somehow different).
I also must point out that officer asked me these questions AFTER speaking to the staff at the ‘Rape Basement’ that I believe drugged me. Staffs response was that “I walked in drugged & I went down into ‘Rape Basement’ on my own & that they ‘found’ me there & asked me to leave”. That would mean that I went to a 2pm show at the Waterville Opera House, walked out of that theater production & then decided to become a totally different person. That I then drugged myself, raped myself, sodomized myself, gave myself a genital-to-genital STD & then found my own way into the ‘Rape Basement’ that I had no prior knowledge of!?! This same ‘Rape Basement’ establishment also stated to police that they did not serve me any drink or food; yet I have supplied law enforcement with the charge on my credit card that supports the opposite. A portion of the $12,738.64 price of my ‘Drugged, Raped, Sodomized, Robbed & Arrested’ experience was the $9.06 that I paid the ‘Rape Basement’ establishment for my drugged beer.
To date this crime has cost me my sanity, my safety, my peace, my joy, my kindness, countless hours of sleep, isolating myself in my home with a loaded gun by my side, my trust & faith in the world, basically my life as I have known it.

• Another women shared that when she was 23, she was drugged & lost 14 hours of her life & woke up at an entirely different location. She reported it to the local police & was told it was going to be investigated; she is still waiting to hear back from them…she is now 28 years old. She also shared that she has a high school reunion coming up, yet she is fearful to go because it is being held in Waterville. ‘The Waterville Secret that Everyone Knows’.
• Another woman feared reporting to the police that she had been drugged because she was on an organ donor list & feared that she would be denied a lifesaving operation if she disclosed the experience. ‘The Waterville Secret that Everyone Knows’.
• Men have come forward that they too have been drugged & assaulted & have woken up at completely different locations from where they began. ‘The Waterville Secret that Everyone Knows’.
• One woman started at a restaurant & then came to drugged, robbed, wearing completely different clothing, in an abandoned building. ‘The Waterville Secret that Everyone Knows’.
• Tragically yet another woman shared that her young brother was found dead in these same horror show ‘Rape Basements’ that other victims speak of; these ‘Rape Basements’ that I too was in. ‘The Waterville Secret that Everyone Knows’.
• Others have shared that (for a price) you can have a woman drugged & then have unfettered access to her & then they will ‘let her go’ when you are done. When I have shared this information; I have heard from numerous individuals that casually state, “Yes that has been going on for years”. ‘The Waterville Secret that Everyone Knows’.
• One Maine Liquor Enforcement Officer states that they tried to shed light on this years ago, yet the drugging & raping of women is bad business for a college town; then this person stated they do not wish to be named due to fear of repercussion. ‘The Waterville Secret that Everyone Knows’.
So yesterday we (the victims of this) all made some noise, we all started to shine a light on it…& overnight the responses came. Public posts have been deleted or turned off; 2am phone calls from the owners of these ‘Rape Basement’ establishments were made threatening victims to take posts down, to stop speaking. Many victims that were raising their voices yesterday are now silent today. I have also learned that I am not the only victim scared & carrying a firearm. It has also come to my knowledge today that two of these owners of these establishments were convicted of human trafficking taking place within these ‘Rape Basements’ & sent to prison. They are now out & back in business from the same exact ‘Rape Basements’ we the victims are being found in!?! ‘The Waterville Secret that Everyone Knows’.

See, Greg and Dan realized that the only TRUE way to guarantee public school shootings don’t happen anymore, is to shut down public schools.
Well, they can’t just start at shutting down whole schools, the federal government would encroach instantly! So, instead- Greg and his BFF LUiTenAnT DaN do everything they can to make (at least cis-het-white-christian nationalist republican voting) people as a whole, lose faith in their children’s ability to get a safe, quality education from a tx public school.
Step 1: target fear in the gen population Step 2: use divisive media & religious rhetoric to create a propaganda campaign Step 3: Public schools are made seem “less than” Step 4: self-segregation occurs Step 5: IF they are allowed to be kept open, it would be in such a limited capacity that there would be almost no point.
Once that’s done, all they have to do is pretend they actually believe it’s an “individual rights” issue. Then the feds can’t help and since red voters are more prominent, Gringle and Dingle can sit back and watch as their voucher program moves more taxpayer funds to their religious donors and benefactors that tie into private schools, and as a result, more money into their pockets.

This is in the state of New York.
Last fall, a family member and I were purchasing an apartment together and deposited the $75,000 down payment ahead of the board co-op application process that was required for the purchase. Unfortunately, the board rejected our application and we were to receive a check for the down payment from our attorney which we hired for the apartment purchase. The attorney kept delaying and repeatedly saying he would mail the check shortly, at one time using a car accident as an excuse for the delay. After a few weeks, the lawyer stopped communicating despite numerous emails, calls, and texts from us asking for an update. We contacted the sellers' attorney, who was reluctant to even speak to us, and he sent proof that he mailed the check to our attorney as well as confirmed that the escrow account was empty. Meanwhile, the attorney was nowhere to be found or contacted and we realized were victims of legal malpractice. We tried going to the police but they said their hands were tied because we did not have enough proof to prove check fraud.
After consulting with another lawyer for a small fee, we submitted a complaint to the Attorney Grievance Committee of the Judicial Department to which he was registered. We also submitted a complaint to the New York District Attorney Financial Frauds Bureau. We plan to submit a claim to the New York Lawyers Client Protection Fund, which reimburses clients for misappropriation of funds by their lawyers. However, the Client Protection Fund requires that the lawyer be disbarred first before we apply. The fund also requires that submissions of claims be within two years of the discovery of wrongdoing and we are already coming up on 1 year since this happened.
In light of all this, we have received almost no communication from the authorities regarding our case other than a message detailing that there was a paralegal assigned to it. Not even a request for additional testimony, evidence, information (we sent all the relevant documentation we had as part of the complaints to the authorities). I am getting increasingly worried that our case will go nowhere and we will never see the money again, which we were barely able to scrape together in the first place.
Is it normal for an attorney grievance case to take this long? Is it normal for there to be little communication and requests for information from the authorities? Is there anything we should be doing different here?
Advice is much appreciated.

I am getting increasingly worried that our case will go nowhere and we will never see the money again, which we were barely able to scrape together in the first place.
Is it normal for an attorney grievance case to take this long? Is it normal for there to be little communication and requests for information from the authorities? Is there anything we should be doing different here?
