What happened at the east town krystals today??? I heard it caught on fire and I couldn't find any news reports or posts on Facebook.
Now that we got the spoiler warning out of the way, Jerry Kapowicz MIGHT appear in GTA 6 but won’t have a major role, and we MIGHT even see him as an NPC running his own gun shop. For me, I’m 99% positive that Jerry will be in GTA 6 because the Diamonds was such a big plot point in GTA 4, and Jerry opens up a gun shop in Vice City. I don’t see why he wouldn’t make an appearance in GTA 6, even if it’s very small. If Rockstar doesn’t bring him back, even as a gun shop NPC, then they have literally hurt their own lore.
Hello, I was in a car accident two weeks ago today. It was my fault, long story short I rear ended someone at a stop sign. My car has mild cosmetic damage but the woman I hit has just some paint transfer and some scratches. I have liability so we are just going to fix my car myself but she has a leased car so I’m assuming she has full coverage. I gave her my insurance and she seemed very concerned that she didn’t want me to report it to my insurance so it won’t go up for me being that I’m young. She was very nice about the whole situation but let me know she was going to report it to hers and get an estimate. We both agreed that I would just wait until I heard from my insurance about the accident when she reported it and we would go from there so I did not call my insurance. It’s been two weeks and I still have not heard anything. I was wondering how long it will take for them to reach out, I’m not sure if I should’ve heard something by this point? I’ve heard no news is good news but I just want to know how long it should take them to reach out to you after an accident
It was even hotter today so of course I had a lovely time. Mother and I did some planting; the cala lilies are in the ground and all of the peppers, herbs, and flowers are planted. Unfortunately, I do have some bad news; someone ate one of my canteloupe plants. There was seven yesterday and today there are six. I have no idea who the culprit was. I've also noticed some damage on the bush beans and squash plants so there has to be something regularly terrorizing the garden after dark. A bunny or a bird, perhaps? I'm mostly upset about the canteloupe since I grew them from seeds. I've placed some of the tomato cages over top of the planters. Mother said putting some of Peach's fur by the plants may help dissuade animals; I don't know how true that is but Peach is almost done shedding and I had a cup full of fur from all that brushing so might as well... We'll see how much of the garden survived tomorrow morning.
Once Mother went back inside, I had time to pull my laptop out and do some writing. I've gotten the research pages for nine of those articles started; I have several sources linked that I can now read through and for an outline out of. Once I got sick of copying and pasting web links, I took some time to work on my third The Paper Ghost Rewrite. Nothing too new to report on that front but it is coming along. Eventually, evening rolled in and the mosquitoes overtook the yard and I retreated inside. Now I'm catching up on work for the Dictionary. The joys of always having something to do; it motivates and it overwhelms. I seem to be on a good streak right now. I'm exhausted in a good way. Accomplishment, no matter how small, is a satisfying feeling.
Yours & Mine,
S.O. Skinner
so that’s what i’m going to do here, be prepared for my story lol. i really hope someone else who struggles with this will see this. i’ve never been able to talk to someone who understands. only my therapist but i can’t tell him everything without getting reported. i won’t talk about my past obsessions because they don’t feel relevant right now but i’ll talk about my current one. two years ago i met a guy, he was 19. he was teaching me an instrument but that part has become a huge trigger for me so i’ll just call him a “tutor”. i saw him once a week for an hour. i very quickly started fantasizing about him. every night before bed i would imagine him here with me, i found him on instagram and i would sleep with a picture of him right next to me so it could be more “real”. every morning i instantly woke up and got the picture of him back up on my phone so i could imagine waking up next to him. he would then get ready to go to school with me, come to all my classes with me, eat lunch with me, help me with homework, and then played video games with me when i got home. except he was never actually there, i was just imagining him. whenever he came to my house i was convinced he wanted to hookup with me but was nervous to say something because of our illegal age gap. so i made as many sexual jokes and references as i could to make him “get the hint”. after two months of seeing him, so 8 total meetings he texted my mom one day saying he can’t keep seeing me and i’ll have to find someone else to teach me. i was eating chili from a big blue bowl when i heard the news. i went to the bathroom and instantly threw up, then didn’t leave the bathroom for two days. i just sat there staring at a picture of him the whole time. i only peed once and ate three granola bars in those two days. after that is when the delusions started getting really bad. i’ve been through this many times before so i knew what was going to happen. instead of having about 6 hours of time fantasizing about him everyday it turned into about 12 hours. i was so angry at him i wanted to kidnap him and scream at him about how much i love him until he’d realize that i’m the only good person for him and he’d love me back. i found his address, family, friends, etc. i would check their social medias basically every hour to see if anyone was with him at the time. i no longer have any violent delusions towards him but i still spend every second of everyday thinking that he’s here with me. i spend hours everyday walking around my house and telling him about new things that i got or what art project i’m currently working on, even if i’ve already told him about it multiple times that day. i stand in my room talking out loud to him for hours because i’m convinced he’s here and loves me back. then when i finally snap out of it it only feels like a few minutes passed but really it was hours. i still check all his social medias multiple times a day and try to reach out to him every few months. i really want this to stop so i can have my life back but i’m so scared. it feels like i’ll be killing the thing that has controlled my life for 7 years now. i feel like life would be so lonely and cold without him here with me. i just don’t know what to do anymore. i also really don’t want my parents knowing because they’ll think i’m crazy and never look at me the same again. do i need antipsychotics? i think i should wait until i’m 18 and get them without parent permission and maybe i can hide it from them or something? i don’t know, but i know this has to stop. i can’t keep living like this forever. i feel so trapped
Today I read of the guy that falsey reported sandy hook shooting never happened and how some think anyone should be able to report or say any falsehood they want. And to them I want to share my own experiences and show why we need some accountability and laws to prevent this from happening to other people. I will never be the same as I was because of someone's conspiracy theory.
In 2020 I was healthy of mind and body. I was active on Facebook, reddit, LinkedIn, and Twitter. I'm almost 50 and a mother of 7 and grandmother of 5. I've suffered from social anxiety and depression bit had that under control. I have a soft spot for helping abused children. My bank card rounded up to the nearest dollar and the change went to help prevent child abuse. I studied child development and child psychology in college. I am ex military and have some ptsd (the social anxiety and depression) but again under control. In 2020 there was false news coming on Facebook about children being abducted, abused in numerous ways and it broke my heart. I had to help. I was drawn in to a conspiracy theory due to my heart hurting for these children that were missing or abused. Around October I was told via comments to look up the fall of cabal videos on YouTube to get even more information about how children were being hurt. Like a dumbass that (even though I finished college) was still so gullible I went and watched all 10 videos. This conspiracy theory didn't just touch on children being hurt and abducted but my religious beliefs and my distrust of politicians. At video 10 I was so afraid but not the same way others were. You see the Bible says we won't know who Jesus or God is until Satan is revealed. So I saw this conspiracy theories idea of jfk Jr coming back not as Jesus or God but as Satan and Trump was him. Most people believed this and saw this as a godsend buy I saw it as the ultimate evil on earth. It frightened me so bad I had a nervous breakdown. I lived inside my own mind for over 8 months. To this day I still don't leave my home, don't know what's real or not, and have deleted nearly all but reddit of my social media. To remind what sanity I now have I can not watch the news, go to places where others might verbally attack me and my TV time insist of dvds I have that I know by heart. In my head still we are in end times. I can't undo that thinking. I'm trying to see a professional through the va but they are booked till October.
Last July I tried to go to a family reunion in another state. I went into psychosis because of the videos and thought the worst things about my own family. I saw my family of Trump supporters as racist and the entire reunion as a kkk hoedown. While my ex pastor uncle danced and sung while playing horseshoes I saw my uncle dancing around a fire chanting hate. While my aunts sat by the river watching their pups swim I saw them planning that nights witch orgy. While my brother bar b qued beef and chicken I saw a child's ribs and meat being cooked. I was in total psychotic break and it wasn't even a day since I was there. I was rushed home and tended to for the next two weeks while my spouse and children tried to bring my mind back to our home.
This is why we need only facts to be reported on news and if it's a fictional story then it needs disclaimers and it needs guidelines. If the word news is in the name it needs to be factual and unbiased even if it's news and entertainment. News needs to be factual and unbiased. There's no entertainment in news. It's suppose to bore the kids like it did me as a child.
Some of you will disagree and say I should know how to tell what's real and not but you might be forgetting that I am not you. No one is you. Some people are gullible and they need to be protected. The ones that normally tell me it's my fault are normally the ones saying we need to protect everything. We'll my mind should have been protected. There should have been disclaimers. There should have been rules so others like me didn't get drawn in and start believing these horror stories. I can no longer go to the park with my grandchildren out of fear. I'm too afraid to leave my home because of this conspiracy theory that took my faith, my love for children and corrupted them. I question the Bible and still feel the fear of end times all the time. I can't support anything that tries to help children afraid I'm supporting another conspiracy theorist. My entire life has been turned upside down because someone or a group decided to play with my gullibility.
I'm glad that family won their lawsuit. I hope laws begin to take place to protect families like mine ND theirs. And to those spreading the lies I hope this finds you so you can see just how much those lies have hurt this family. I hope you rot in hell and Satan has his way with you. I hope God does not forgive you for leading some of his children astray and for hurting those you have hurt. I hope his vengeance is as horrible for you as you have made my life. And normally I never wish harm on anyone because it's not very Christian.
The week and weekend leading up to Memorial Day was not as quiet as expected. Our clinic buzzed with last-minute occupational testing, worker's comp cases, and unexpected injuries so severe that I thought we might transfer the patients to the ER. Luckily, only one or two fit that category.
Patients are still waiting too long to seek treatment. We saw a patient with a dislocated shoulder that suffered for a week before seeking treatment. More cellulitis patients arrived. I caught an article about it written by - of all people - Melissa Gilbert (
Little House on the Prairie). If you are ever in a position where a relative is refusing treatment for a severely red and inflamed limb, show them her article:
https://parade.com/news/little-house-on-the-prairie-melissa-gilbert-er-horrifying-bug-bite-instagram-photo That article should be enough to convince them.
Eye infections, styes and chalazions were up. No bilateral (both eyes) infections showed up.
Sinus pain and pressure were common complaints, with just one or two reporting yellow or green "alien" mucus.
On the Covid front, I heard they had three Covid cases on Monday, but we had just one or two this week and weekend. This may be due to the fact that most patients are now refusing COVID testing. The vast majority of them ask for Strep testing, and only a few resulted positive for Strep A. The rest were put down to "unknown virus", or "viral syndrome" (in the very young). To say that I am disappointed that so few chose to Covid test is an understatement.
Of course, one of those positive cases was given to me to discharge, and to my great relief she was at least directed to wear a mask as she sat at my desk. The problem? She leaned into the window so closely that I nearly felt the need to back myself away. I resisted it, knowing that the cloud of viral aerosol was not directed toward me; but I hastened her paperwork and excused myself from the scene as quickly as possible. Sometimes it's better to just let the air clear, so to speak.
None of my coworkers are wearing masks anymore, not even my fellow front office workers. I overheard a conversation between a supervisor and some unidentified person (I don't eavesdrop, but when my name is mentioned I tend to pay attention). It seems they were talking about how well the dropping of mask-wearing was going. I was mentioned as being "proactive" versus everyone else, and that things seemed to be running smoothly...but I am not entirely of that opinion. In fact, I was somewhat angry that I had been singled out as a representative of a class of people; it had a ring of political side-taking even though the words were carefully chosen.
Several patients who were obviously ill with respiratory ailments refused to mask. I insisted, prompting scowls and grumbling, but my coworkers gave up, and said nothing. This in turn caused other patients to insist upon waiting in their cars. The divide between patients who just don't care about spreading disease and those who don't want to catch any seems to be developing quietly. While some people won't wear masks, they are still interested in separating themselves from obviously sick people. I do wish they would understand that Covid can be carried by even "healthy" looking people. Three years in, and they still haven't received the message.
When I look out over the crowd of unmasked patients, I see vulnerable seniors, babies, pregnant women... I feel that our signs should say, "Enter at your own risk."
I had a conversation with one of our doctors about Paxlovid when a middle aged couple came in asking for it due to symptoms (feeling "Very sick, nauseous, with a fever,") and a positive COVID test. I prefaced my question to the doctor with, "As I am sure you have heard that the FDA formally declared Paxlovid a safe and effective treatment for COVID," and then followed up with, "Are you now of a mind to consider writing a prescription for it, if the situation warrants it?"
His reply was curt, to the point, and had a somewhat annoyed and confused tone: "I have never written a Paxlovid prescription because...I cannot be sure of the patient's liver function." And that was that. No mention of a survey for the patient, no request for a test for liver enzymes...nothing. He went back to his paperwork, and I promptly directed the patient to the local CVS Minute Clinic.
Once again, I felt defeated. My own clinic, my favorite practitioners, too worried that someone might sue them, and too worried that they might cause harm - to act to give comfort. It distracted me that day. Just in case you're in a position where your provider is on the fence, here is the announcement by the FDA:
https://www.fda.gov/news-events/press-announcements/fda-approves-first-oral-antiviral-treatment-covid-19-adults#:~:text=Today%2C%20the%20U.S.%20Food%20and,19%2C%20including%20hospitalization%20or%20death.
For those seeking COVID stats, I spent a couple of days compiling areas showing a rise in wastewater and hospitalizations:
Marion County appeared to have a rise in hospitalizations earlier this week. Citrus was also shown. I am now convinced that areas with
shared hospitals are being linked, and the counties are not separated by geographical area.
Comparative hospitalizations for COVID treatment between this and last week:
Citrus: 13 new patients, a 62.5% rise, 2.50 patients per 100,000 (above the US average of 2.49). Marion mirrored this.
Indian River: 35 new patients, a 59.1% rise, 4.6 patients per 100,000.
Santa Rosa: 35 patients, a 94.4% rise, 4.2 patients per 100,000. Escambia, Okaloosa, and Walton were linked.
As a control:
Pasco: 130 patients, down 19.8%, 4.1 patients per 100,000.
We do seem to have had more COVID in Pasco, but it is slowly relaxing. That may be short-lived though, considering the holiday.
I have not included any other counties due to the fact that their levels were the same or reduced by a very small level. If you're in any of those fortunate counties, smile! (But still wear your mask.)
Wastewater Levels per the CDC show:
Levi: Significant rise
Alachua: Significant rise
Orange: Tentative rise, just beginning
All other levels were decreasing slowly or unreported.
Memorial weekend and Day will result in people getting together for barbeques, solemn ceremonies, and family outings....and you know more gatherings means more spread. I'll report what I see, of course.
For everyone still masking, keep it up. I've had patients confront me: "Are you comfortable in that mask?" I simply reply that it is the best thing that I can do to guard myself at the clinic....and at the grocery store....and on public transportation. Don't ever apologize. It's your right to stay healthy and happy.
For those dealing with Memorial Day as I do, in remembering lived ones lost to the wars, or just simply lost to time, I am with you.
Be safe, be masked, and be well.
