I was referred to NDC by my MO. She mentioned that one of my tooth had decayed a little and required root canal for one tooth and I need to do some surgery for another tooth and had to plug out 2 of my wisdom teeth.
So to put it in point form. (for better clarification) - Molar tooth crack and required root canal - Pre-Molar tooth broke, had gum grown over it and required surgery to complete remove the residue. - Two bottom Wisdom teeth starting to grow outside the gum and required extraction.
With all this, I didn’t had the opportunity to ask her if the entire thing is covered under SAF.
Question is, will it be fully covered by the SAF? If not, is it atleast subsidised? How much would the total cost. Also, can I used my medisave or family member edusave?
Mind you, I’m a currently holding a private rank with vocation of a service support. Pay also not very high, don’t know if my family can afford the whole thing if paid by cash.

Pre-surgery: My ingrown had been an issue for ~8 months prior. I had attempted antibiotics (oral and topical), soaks, and nothing helped.
Surgery: Went fairly well. I applied some numbing cream to the area before I went in. The needles were uncomfortable but quick. The surgery itself was not painful, but again a lot of discomfort (weird pressure, and mentally knowing what was happening). My doctonurse team were amazing and made sure to distract me, and not let me see anything.
Post surgery: I could walk without issue, and pain was manageable the first few days. It hurt about the same as a bad day with an ingrown. They recommended that I leave the bandages on for a few days, and then to remove with a soak. This was the worst part of the process for me. It took hours as the bandages stuck to the wound causing excruciating pain. To do it again, I think I would have gone back to the clinic for help. I completed twice daily soaks and bandages for about 6 weeks. I could only wear sandals at this point, there was still some remaining pain and I did not want to aggravate it. It became infected (even after frequent bandage changes and antibiotics) and it took about 4 months for the toe to start returning to normal. Unfortunately I cut the nail slightly too low at this point, and it became ingrown again. Again, after frequent soaks I was able to get it fully healed. After 8 months, it looks fully healed.
Personally, I wish I had attempted avulsion first to reduce the recovery time and pain. However, I did have a very severe case and perhaps this was the only way to remove the issue. I'm happy with how it looks and feels now. Feel free to ask any questions!

I left this as a response to another comment, but I would genuine like feedback on this. I see many other valid comments about strikes being damn near impossible with the way health insurance, living paycheck to paycheck, and police violence during protests. All valid points and I understand how it would deter a majority of us in the interest of personal safety, feeding and housing our kids, and continuing to pay rent/mortgages/bills.
I just don’t understand why we don’t strike with Covid lockdown rules. I’m sure that there are influential, amazingly smart people in all the different demographics in the US that could convince their peers to participate. And plenty of those brilliant and organized people that have been laid off from Google, FB, Twitter, and other tech type companies that manage how the whole world communicates, could handle logistically finding a way to keep people fed within those demographics. The way people can raise money quickly for Gofundme’s in tragic situations has to be completely possible to help with paying for lights and water communally while we wait, right? All we needed was two weeks during the lockdown for corporations to begin collectively clutching their pearls and shitting their pants.
I mean, sure if your job is involved in keeping people alive, by all means, go to work. But if you’re a data entry person, filling a spreadsheet that you know won’t matter in ten years, why not stay home and fight back collectively with inaction?
Why can’t we just stay home? The police cannot legally enter our homes and force us to go to work at gunpoint. And if they did, those 2A folks would be happier than pigs in shit. That would be the tyranny and oppression they keep talking about, right?
If a significant number of us stay home and protest by halting the economy until those CEOs beg because their shitty business practices have them on the edge of crumbling, wouldn’t we win?
Is that not an effective striking solution?

Hey guys so we are mid-way through taking a Padi open water diving course in Ecuador.
The whole thing is a bit of a hilarious mess of screwed up equipment and poor training.
I am gonna run through our experience for two reasons:

1. I genuinely want to know what should be in a Padi Open Water course and what everyone else does in theirs
   
2. So you can get a laugh out of how terrible it all is over here
   

This cost the same as all the other shops selling courses in this area and it was $340 PP (Asked 5 tour shops) so I’m not holding back on them. Their charging full-European rates on this and giving a shit service.
Day 1
We meet our “English Speaking” instructor. Barely any English he just nods at everything. At one point I asked if we were taking a Tuk Tuk to the pool. He responded with yes, thank you I love to teach diving it is my passion.
We watch a 1 hour video on the TV and he says yeah that’s enough the rest is not so important. My partner has a cold so we insist with some debate that she will not do the course (As the video said).
Move on to the pool and do some drills. Take jacket off and replace, swap breathing tool with dive buddy, use reserve breather etc.
Most of the kit was leaking air a lot. Rubber protectors broken off and lots of corrosion. If I removed my breathing tool I has to shake and twist it to stop air flowing out. We did 1 dive for about 45 mins and called it a day.
Day 2
Our first open water dive on an island. Boat barley worked and required 5 mins of playing around with a screw driver each time we set off.
Got to the site went to put together my gear and there was a frayed line on the pressure gauge and a leak. Guides said it’s fine. I pointed out another leak and a jamming breathing tool. Got it changed for a new one.
Assembled the kit and got ready to jump in. After a few seconds in the water I say my breathing tool is a bit hard to draw from (usable but annoying) he said switch to the secondary and use that. It’s missing one of the bite pads which was a real pain. No more extras on the boat and did not want to go all the way back.
Okay so I just hold the mask on my way down. Get to the bottom and my dive buddy floats off a bit. I had just finished an exhale and my mouthpiece fell out of the breathing room (We are around 8 meters deep here). So I had no air in my lungs and also no breathing tool.
I tap the guide and point to my reserve (previously main) and he hands it to me. It was a bit out of my reach and I did not have much time to get it as I had not realised the breathing tool was detached from the mouthpiece and got some water in my mouth on an inhale.
I’m fairly stoic so was not freaking out. Between us someone would have given me air but it was my first time in the ocean (ever). I cleared the tool with the button on the back (As I had 0 air) and managed to get a good breathe.
Anyway so he had a spare mouthpiece for my reserve one that he gave me. All good and breathing again. My dive buddy has floated away at this point and he signals to wait here. I wait for about 3-4 mins alone and they return. Had a little browse around and saw my first school of fish (Total time ever with scuba gear now 50 mins including 40 from the pool). We do 2 dives with my dive buddy repeatedly floating off.
We are on the boat talking to the instructor and we go what’s the deepest you’ve gone diving. He replies “The most was 35M because I have not done my advanced divers course yet” SO HE JUST HAS OPEN WATER TRAINING.
The owner of the dive shop is a dive master I believe but he spoke no English and was not diving with us. He will probably go down on the paperwork as the teacher. BTW my Spanish is decent and in the end we were speaking mainly in Spanish anyway. My hope was his English would be a lot better than my Spanish.
Under the water we did stuff like take off and put on jacket. Clear goggles etc. Total about an hour underwater maybe more. Tomorrow we finish off the course.
I did a bit of looking around and it sounds like other people did exams, lots of studying and way more diving but those were from 6 or so years ago. How different is Ecuadorean diving from the rest of the world?

Edit: I had already paid so thought I’d see it though. We went back and did 2x 20M dives today. Went through their stuff in the morning and although most of it was crap found the least crappy one and brought that with. So today no gear failures.
Although my dive partners respirator did stop working at around 10M down. Had to swap it for emergency and he used that for the rest of the dive (okay now that even I wouldn’t do).
I’ve been told I will get a Padi certificate in my inbox within 2-3 days. Will update when I get it.

Hey everyone so I'm 20f. I have a really bad fear of driving but lately I've been more interested in driving. Considering I have a kid I also have to.
So a few things is
1.) I don't ask/recieve child support, I just tell him how much food for our son costs and any other and that's it
2.) I don't work cause A.) I don't drive B.) I'm waiting till my son is a bit older for any babysitters C.) No transportation besides uber but again I don't have money to pay for ubers
3.) No one around me is comfortable enough to let me use their car ( I can convince my dad but he's "busy" every living second of the day)
4.) I can't go back to driving school because I can't afford it
5.) Let's say I do start driving, if I dont work how am I going to afford car insurance???? I can compromise one thing. If I install cameras in my home like EVERYWHERE I can hire a baby sitter so I'm able to work.
6.) Please give me advice. I'm finally at the stage that I want to but of course when I'm ready all strings I had, have been pulled from under me. Feels very rough right now

I just made an toss away account cause I need advice. I'm not sure how to proceed in my situation and need advice from folks in my industry.
A little background, was an animator in 2d and 3d for 8 years, but moved into storyboarding for the last 6 years. I've had more satisfaction in this role even though I've had to work harder.
I worked at company A for around 5 years. The pay was alright and had decent benefits and holidays. First 4 years were great and worked in storyboarding, but the last year I was there I was pushed into animation unexpectedly and I wasn't particularly happy about it. I stuck it out because it kept me afloat safely over the pandemic. During that time when I was at company A I was freelancing on part time boards for Company B. It was small projects that I could do in my off time to keep up my skills in boards. When that gig ended company B offered me a fulltime position, for storyboarding with a great salary and benefits, but the holidays aren't as good. I've been here for a year and enjoy it and they like my work.
My dilemma is Company A contacted me outta the blue and offered me a story position with a 20% increase to my current wage with the past benefits and holidays. It'd mean I'd have to break contract that doesn't end till next year with company B. I'm leery about returning to the company because of past experiences and I'm not a fan of the project. On paper both contracts would end around the same time, both are for storyboarding and have similar benefits. The big difference between them is pay and slightly better holidays. To me this seems like a cut and dry "no," but I hate to say it's the money that's causing me to waffle. My current salary is good, but 20% isn't something I can dismiss.

Looking to mount my 3 monitors..
Much like the title suggests, I’m looking for ideas on how to go about mounting my three monitors I have.
I just bought a Samsung Odyssey G5 34” a few days ago.. (I’m loving it btw, this is my first time using an ultrawide). I also have two Acer 27” monitors that I was using beforehand on a dual-monitor mount. My initial thought was to just buy an additional singular mount and add it to the bar I already have.. My only concern with that is the weight, and whether or not it will actually work like I’m thinking.
I’ve seen some people suggesting on other posts to just get another singular mount, but wouldn’t that look super sloppy? Thanks in advanced for the ideas.. I want to clean up my setup again.. Currently it’s an absolute disaster with this monstrosity sitting on my desk 😂.

How to Get Followers? First of all — let people see your page. Having your page permissions be "following AND subscribed" means no one will get to see a preview of your content, page, or personality before subscribing, and no one will want to follow because they won't get to see anything, either. You are a consumer, just as people who buy porn — just put yourself in their shoes. You buy things all the time. With movies, you get to see trailers. With groceries, you know exactly what you're looking for and what you need, just like guys looking for certain fetishes. I don't know how many people remember when Emma Chamberlain had a clothing line where all the clothes were blurred and no one could see them before purchasing, but that's exactly what it's like when you expect paying subscribers but offer them no type of preview.

Fansly's FYP
Fansly is incredibly unique in that it has internal traffic and an explore page that promotes small and big creators very fairly. Obviously, people who post more are going to show up more on the FYP, and people who post only 10 times a month are going to struggle. Utilize the FYP by giving yourself more of a chance of popping up on it. Fansly just recently implemented a 100 or 200 limit on how many posts can be queued at once to give everyone an EVEN MORE fair chance of getting on the FYP. So post a lot, and post lots of previews. it can even be a reminder to your followers that your tiers have access to exclusive content by locking photos, and having previews.

General Page Advice
Just like I mentioned above, followers need a preview of you and your content. They won't spend money if they don't know if they're even attracted to you, if you have good quality content, how often you post, etc. More reasons to have an open page with lots of previews.
Your bio needs to be personalized to you, you need to give a snippet of what they can expect on your page, and you need to put a little personality in it. DO NOT put a copyright disclaimer in your bios — they're long, they immediately pull a follower out of the sexy fantasy you've built, and men don't care! If they want to steal content, they will. The disclaimer is clunky and pointless.

Tier Advice
I see lots of people with tiers named things like "boyfriend," "husband," "sugar daddy," etc. I strongly suggest not doing this. Aside from price and clicking on the tiers to read the benefits, there's no way for a sub to immediately tell which tier is the best, because there is no natural progression. Some would argue that boyfriends get more action than husbands, some would argue the other way. We want to make things QUICK to understand! I suggest names like "bronze," "silver," "diamond," or some other tier progression like that as it's easy for EVERYONE, in every country, to understand which would have more content. I keep mine simple with "diamond - less ppv" and "vip - no ppv." This has worked well for me and there's never confusion as to what tier is better.

BRANDING!!!!!!
For the love of god please stop naming yourselves something similar to celebrities. I've seen "bhad bharbie," "Lia Khalifa," etc. STOP! You are creating YOUR OWN brand — do not bite off other people's. You also want to be easily google-able. If someone loses access to their account and they want to find you, they're gonna find more interesting and more established people than you when trying to do so, eventually forgetting you. Same thing goes to generic names with a bunch of numbers. That's not a brand, that's a "i need a nickname quick" which doesn't exactly convey that you'll provide quality content on a consistent basis.

Content Quality
Snapchat filters are fine. In fact, my phone selfies taken on snap get me 80% of my followers; I now keep my 4K/HD camera content to videos and dick rates. The problem with snapchat, though, is when you use the filters that are covered in words, glasses, glitter, and the like. It's ugly, quite frankly. There is so much content out there in the world that a man is likely going to choose another model with the same body type as you doing the same content if they simply film from their back camera. There is certainly a way to convey that you make amateur content (which is a huge market that people seek out, not everyone wants studio/overly produced content) without making it look garbage. Quick tips: natural lighting, make sure your ring light/main light source is at the same angle/height as your camera/phone so there are no shadows, tidy up your background, play with angles, clean your feet, wipe the toilet paper off your coochie.

NICHES!
Everyone says to find your niche. Whether it be domming, goth, girl next door, MILF, whatever — find it. But, a niche doesn't have to be about what content you make. It can simply be the way you interact with subs, and the type of experience they will have with you. I don't have a certain niche when it comes to content aside from being a BBW that makes detailed videos with a plot — I'm a laid back girlfriend that likes to swap music recs, memes, jokes, and literally being just a normal person. When I make videos, I take pride in writing well thought out scripts that even map out camera angles, lighting swaps, etc. I'm obviously not going to detail the specificities of how I interact, but I don't take myself too seriously and have extremely kind and loyal subs going on 9+ years. Being kind will go a lot further than trying to monetize every single interaction you have, btw. But that's a whole other topic that everyone and their mama has an opinion about. I won't say more about it than that. BUT — since my "niche" is reliant upon experience vs content, it means I can make whatever the hell I want without worrying if my followers aren't gonna like it.

CONTENT IDEAS
With peace and love — I have no idea how you're all getting stuck with ideas. There's so much porn, inspo, categories, etc. Hell, you have a great opportunity to boost engagement and SALES by asking your subs directly what they want to see. If you're making foot fetish content for a page full of people that prefer blowjob content, you're not gonna make much. Do polls. Polls are your best friend. If you don't want to do that, go to PornHub and ManyVids and see which categories are trending, and which ones have been recently sold. There is so so so much you can do.

RESEARCH and PROMOTE!
90% of this job is promoting. You should ALWAYS be diversifying content and never be too reliant on one certain site, whether it be a monetized site like OF, or a promotion site like Twitter. I spend A LOT of my time researching. I research script ideas, photoset poses, what new tactics are being used to make people buy things in the regular world, I have cheat sheets for all sorts of fetishes like CEI and gooning, I'm always revamping my flyers and pages to make sure it's easy to understand, etc. Research psychological tricks businesses use to trick people into buying things, and use that in your business.

I can go on and on and on about tips and tricks but this is more than enough help for now. Some things, you have to learn on your own. Some things you won't learn or realize until you're longer than a year into this job, and you're going to be CONSTANTLY learning. I'm still learning almost a decade into this! But you gotta do some work yourself to get there. "i'm two weeks in please help!" You haven't even given your page a chance yet.

My aunt and uncle came to visit us after 6-7 years of minimal contact after my BPD cousin essentially ripped the family apart. It's a long story but she made our lives hell during a traumatizing 2 quick succession deaths ( a pet a beloved family member within 2 months of each other) and made the whole thing about herself. My 5 year old cat died suddenly on Christmas while my grandmother was in hospice. And my cousin emotionally and mentally abused my family and I for the entire month she was with us despite what was going on.
Well her parents came after all these years to see us. My cousin is mooching off of them. Refusing to pay her student loans, refusing to pay rent, and has moved her boyfriend into their house. She will not get a job. Her boyfriend has a job but is such an odd and entitled guy he doesnt feel the need to help my aunt and uncle do anything. My uncle is having to sell his prized classic car collection to pay my cousin's students loans because a business he has a 50% stake in is suffering from legal issues since the co-owner's death. So he hasnt gotten a check in a year.
So everything is going fine with them here visiting. Until the 3rd day. My aunt and uncle seemed really depressed and are not speaking. The topic of toys my cousin gave my sister 15 years ago came up from another family member. BPD cousin wants them back. It's been 15 years. 15. Given the attitude my aunt and uncle exhibited and the sudden demand for toys back my cousin likely raised hell about it. Why? I think it is out of spite. My aunt is suffering severe mental health problems and physical illness from stress brought on from my cousin. She wont say it, but we know. My aunt was walking on eggshells the entire time she was here. Everything she said that could be even taken even the tiniest bit wrong was excessively explained afterwards and she would immediately apologize for any offense. There was no offense. No one took anything the wrong way. But living with my tyrant of a cousin has essentially made her an overly anxious paranoid mess who thinks anyone at any time is just going to blow up.
I dont know how I can have a relationship with my aunt and uncle when my cousin goes as far as to spite us long after we've gone no contact with her. She is playing my aunt and uncle's emotions and used them by proxy to harass us about stupid toys she gave my sister 15 years ago. If you're reading this, you arent getting them back. I am a gambling addict and it quickly ruined my life. I am 26 and make 70K/year before taxes. I had been able to save about $60K over the last few years but began compulsively spending 1-2 years ago and that number slowly lowered down to about $10K earlier this year.
I then had the idea that I could start gambling to get some money back and that's when things really went downhill. After winning 2K the first week, I lost more and more every week after that.
May 1st I hit rock bottom, realized how much I had spent and that I had destroyed my life. My situation as of that day was:
- Checking down to $1800 (Rent of $1500 was due the next day)
- Savings account $0
- Personal stock account down from $15K to $2K
- Credit Card debt of $2,000 from online gambling
I know I was extremely stupid and that I have a problem. I've been going to Gamblers Anonymous meetings every day for the last month and therapy. I haven't gambled since May 1. But at this point I'm really scared that I'm ruined financially and I have things coming up I have to pay for and am really not sure that I can. Since May 1st, I have made some credit card payments, etc. and this is my current situation:
- Checking account: $3000 (rent is paid for this month)
- Savings account: $1000
- Credit Card: $450 (I paid $1,550 since I quit gambling to try and avoid interest)
- I also have $10K in a 401K and $28K in an employee 401K that I didn't touch during gambling, but don't think that I can touch now.
I make $4K per month after taxes. I'm basically living paycheck to paycheck at this point. If I budget as hard as I can I can save about $1K per month after all expenses. I'm scared and disgusted in myself and embarrassed. I don't know how I could be so stupid. I don't want to tell my family but I may have to if it's my only option. Do I have the cashflow to make it out of this? What are my next steps? I feel like I'm going to have a heart attack almost every single day.
