2023.03.24 14:13 placenta89 Hooked up co2 scrubber to airstone got a .3 bump in 1 day.

Wasn't expecting this to work much maybe go from 7.8 to 7.9 but got it up to 8.2 in just one day and it seems to be steady here at day 3 even during the night it just goes to 8.1. I read that it's not the best method but for those who were thinking about it instead of hooking it up to their skimmer. I got a 90g Tank with an air pump rated for 100g and its working great. Threw it in the first sump chamber right after my filter sock so no micro bubbles make their way into the display.

2023.03.24 14:07 lizbrarian Possible dominant/possessive behavior by kitten

I adopted a pair of kittens (littermates) a few months ago, and they're about 7 months old now. They get along great for the most part - sleeping together, playing together, etc. When I'm in bed, however, one of them, Sal, likes to sleep curled up next to me. The other, Archie, will usually come along later and try to sleep on the other side of me. As soon as Sal suspects that Archie is going to lie down, he tries to take over the spot. Archie doesn't fight to keep the spot at all, and if I don't stop Sal from moving over to the other side, Archie will just quietly go somewhere else. Additionally, if Archie is kneading next to me, which he does before he falls asleep, Sal will often attempt to mount him. They are both neutered.
All of this just started within the past month or so. Previously, Sal was pretty shy and wary, but he's gotten far more confident as he's gotten used to living with me. That's great, but I also want to make sure Archie feels comfortable sleeping on the bed, and I want to try to prevent any further dominant behaviors by Sal. Thoughts?

2023.03.24 13:58 coder111 mcicda.dll and CD check failure

Hello,
I was trying to run an old game called "Call To Power". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civilization:_Call_to_Power
I had CD image (bin/cue) mounted using Linux cdemu. I was using wine 7.0 with 32 bit wine prefix. The game would set up correctly, but then fail to start a new game asking for a CD. CD was correctly mounted as a D: drive in winecfg and shown as "CD-ROM" drive in advanced options.
I have worked around this by replacing Wine mcicda.dll with Windows original mcicda.dll, and everything started working.
My question is if this indicates some kind of failure in Wine itself or its packaging that should be reported and fixed?
I'm running Debian/Sid. I found this issue with strace because there were unresolved attempts to open a file "mcicda.so". My wine setup does not include mcicda.so. Does this indicate a packaging issue of some sort?

2023.03.24 13:36 WotTheFook Another n00b question on the BLTouch (Anycubic Mega Zero 2.0)

I think I've finally managed to set the Z-axis switch correctly on my Anycubic Mega Zero 2.0 and I'm currently part way through printing a bracket to mount a BLTouch onto my machine, to resolve the tramming and levelling stuff for good. The bracket looks good so far (touch wood). I've ordered the BLTouch and the Pin27 card and I'm looking forward to tinkering to fit them.
My complete n00b question is this; will my machine still work and load files from the SD card once the BLTouch is fitted, or will I need a PC connection? Is there a stock firmware that has been modded to add the BLTouch that I can download as a hex file and upload it to my printer via Cura? What firmware do I need that adds thermal runaway protection to my printer, as that's kind of important?
I'm still finding my way around the subject of 3D printing and the bug has bitten me hard.

8 albums makes for a bracket starting with the Quarterfinals (My sister=my clock can have the well deserved 9th place)
I determined the seeding looking at the Spotify streams; primarily the Median because Average gets skewed a lot by the hit singles;
Seed - Album - Median track streams - Average streams per track
  1. The ideal crash: 612K - 1.337M
  2. Pocket revolution: 280K - 1.672M
  3. Worst case scenario: 237K - 739K
  4. In a bar under the sea: 218K - 656K
  5. Keep you close: 246K - 352K
  6. Following sea: 203K - 472K
  7. How to replace it: 146K - 268K
  8. Vantage point: 126K - 547K
I’ll leave each poll open for 7 days so as many people as possible can vote but I’ll make a new poll every other day or so, be sure to check out the earlier ones if you don’t look at this site frequently lol
It’s going like 1vs8, 2-7, 3-6 and 4-5 so the first machtup will be The ideal crash vs Vantage point!

Top 10 places to visit in Kashmir 2023 Ahanger HOBO
Ahanger HOBO offers the best Travel Packages & Services throughout the Kashmir Valley, India.
Hotel Taxi Adventure \"Ahanger HOBO\"

1: Gurez Valley Kashmir:

Gurez Valley by Ahanger HOBO
Gurez Valley is one of the least explored regions of Kashmir and the one that can truly be called an offbeat destination. It is a place of high scenic beauty that does not really get the attention that it truly deserves. and the natural beauty of the mountains that you see here is very different from what you will see elsewhere.
Gurez, also spelled Gurais, is a valley located at a distance of about 154 kilometers from Srinagar. Due to its proximity to the border, tourist movement in the region was not allowed until a few years ago.
But now, Indian nationals can travel to Gurez Valley as long as they are carrying valid government-issued identity proof (Aadhar card). Foreign nationals are required to obtain a permit from either Srinagar or Bandipora.
The valley is surrounded by snow-capped mountains. It has diverse fauna and wildlife including the Himalayan brown bear and the snow leopard.
The Kishanganga River flows through the valley before merging into the Jhelum River near Muzaffarabad. Razdan Pass is the only high-altitude pass between Srinagar and Gurez. Due to heavy snowfall in winter, the road remains blocked for about six months a year. Gurez Valley can be reached by road between April to Sept.
The valley is divided into two districts, Dawar and Tilel. Dawar is also the central township in Gurez and this is where all the guest houses and homestays are available also there are no luxury accommodations yet located.

2: Keran Valley Kashmir:

Karen Valley by Ahanger HOBO
Keran is a village in Kupwara District. Keran valley got divided into two parts leaving thousands of souls separated from each other. The pain humans face due to the division of the valley can be well understood by their people. Keran is a beautiful border area with the Kishenganga River flowing through it which acts as a line of control between Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir. The other side of the Kishanganga River is called Neelum Valley and the village located on the opposite side is also called Keran,
The ancient Sharada Peeth temple, as well as the adjacent ruins of Sharada University, are situated in the same Neelam Valley just a few miles from Keran. At Sharda village where Sharda temple and University are situated in the river, Kishanganga joins Madhumati and Sargun streams. It was among the most prominent temple universities in the Indian subcontinent. Kashmiri Pandit brethren have been demanding the opening of the Sharda Peeth corridor for many years now.
Keran is home to many beauties like streams, springs, rivers, mountains, dense forests including walnut trees, and to a variety of Wildlife. On the way to Keran at Firkiyan top the 360-degree view of the surroundings is mesmerizing and enchanting beauty brings goosebumps. One can witness the lush green forests, Meadows, Streams, and also the architecture of wooden houses. The wooden architecture and style of construction of the house are still standing tall all across the Keran. These precious wooden houses need to be preserved and protected and need to be promoted as heritage sites.
The landslide decision of the Government of India to bring border areas like Keran, Gurez, Tangdhar, Machil, and Bangus on the tourism map has brought happiness to the faces of the People of Kashmir. These are the new tourist destinations that will facilitate peace and development in these border areas.
Any non-resident traveler, wishing to visit the border areas of Keran, Karnah, and Machil has to obtain permission from District Magistrate Kupwara which is very easy as the interested person need not personally visit any Office but have to get it through online mode. A non-resident traveler can access the portal at http://epass.kupwara.co.in. and register himself/herself. In Kupwara or Kralpora Market, a traveler can hire a vehicle of his choice for Keran or can go in his own car also as conditions of the road from Kralpora to Kupwara is good except few kilometers which are not metallic but motorable. Along with a few government-owned rest houses, there are homestay facilities available for tourists. Camping tents are also available along with all basic facilities.
Since the spot has recently been introduced as a tourist destination, a lot is being done to promote tourism in the area by the government particularly the Indian army is always seen giving a helping hand to the local population to lead Keran towards peace and prosperity.

3: Pahalgam Kashmir (The Village of Shepherds):

Pahalgam Kashmir by Ahanger HOBO
One of the most famous and beautiful destinations in all of Kashmir Valley is Pahalgam “the Village of the Shepherds”. It is located 96km (about 3 hours’ drive) from Srinagar.
Originally a sleepy wee village of Shepphards (more rumors abound that Jesus passed some time here amongst his flock!) Pahalgam has exquisite scenery of majestic pines, and blossoming high-altitude meadows looking up to snowy peaks and down into beautiful blue rivers. It is possible to enjoy a day trip to this location to get out of noisy Srinagar but the beauty of Pahalgam does not lie around the small bazaar, hotels, and parks of Pahalgam town but in the mountains past Aru.
Pahalgam Town
The journey from Srinagar itself gives- you a taste of what lies ahead. Noisy congested streets give way to poplars and rice fields, where flashes of color from the pink or green of a woman’s head scarf to the golden grain reflect the sunlight.
You know Pahalgam is approaching when you spy the rushing and refreshing Lidder River starting to turn and gurgle. When you hit Pahalgam town, there is quite a noisy bazaar reminiscent of Dal gate selling the usual Kashmiri handicrafts and shawls. If only stay for the day there is a number of parks where you can relax and enjoy a picnic.

4: Gulmarg Kashmir “The Meadow of Flowers”:

Gulmarg Kashmir by Ahanger HOBO
It may be possible to take a tourist map of Kashmir and replace it with a picture of Gulmarg. Gulmarg is the Kashmir valley’s most famous and primary tourist destination, especially in the winter when the temperature is low and the snow is soft and powdery. Gulmarg is the location for all the adventure activities from skiing, heli-skiing, and snowboarding, to high-altitude golf, trekking, and riding the world-famous gondola.
Gulmarg is an open meadow surrounded by lovely thick pine forests and in the spring the grassy slopes are covered with wildflowers, bluebells, daisies, forget-me-nots, and butter cups. Gulmarg lies under the majestic Mount Apharwat (4511m) in the northeast of the Pir-Panjal range about 55 km from Srinagar. The beautiful valley of Gulmarg is about 3km in length (meaning you can easily walk to most places), crescent-shaped, and just less than 1km wide. The drive to Gulmarg itself is beautiful, passing through avenues of poplar trees and rice fields until you begin your steep ascent through majestic pines. Gulmarg can be enjoyed on a day trip with a picnic and a ride in the gondola. Or come here to relax and ski, and with the opening of the second phase of the gondola in 2005, it is now a world-class destination for skiers of all abilities. Others come to hike from Gulmarg to other lush locations in the Kashmir valley such as the famous and most beautiful meadow of Tosamaidan. When both stages of the gondola are operational you can journey up to the Apharwat station for amazing views and photo opportunities of the valley and the Kishtwar and Himalayan ranges.
The French firm Poma designed the gondola and at 12992ft is considered the highest in the world. The beauty of all the white snow piling up around the trees and hills is a beautiful sight and should not be missed if you are in Kashmir in the winter.

5: Verinag Kashmir:

Verinag Kashmir by Ahanger HOBO
Lying at the north-western foot of the Banihal pass is Verinag, the largest spring in Kashmir (78kms from Srinagar), which is said to never dry up or overflow. It lies in a beautiful and peaceful garden with an octagonal pool in the middle, which Emperor Jehangir had converted from a circle to fit with the Mughal style. It is said he would rest here for weeks after crossing the Pir Panjal from Punjab. And it is indeed a place to relax and enjoy, the most perfect picnic spot in the Kashmir Valley. The pool which emits a clear sparkling stream is said to be Nila Nag the son of Kashyap Reshi, who was made King of the Kashmiri Nagas (nag snake worshippers). There are beautiful carvings of stones in Persian on the walls surrounding the spring telling how this great source of underwater spring is contained. There are guest houses here and also a tourist bungalow in which you can pass a relaxing night, before returning to Srinagar or continuing back over the Pir Panjal to Jammu. There is a Shaivite shrine located just outside the complex that draws pilgrims every year who come for a ritual dip on the first day of the year according to the Hindu lunar calendar. Verinag is also said to be the source of the Jhelum River, the blood that flows through Kashmir’s body. To reach Verinag, first, you must take shared sumo from the Dalgate petrol pump to Anantnag (Islamabad) from the jeep stand here take another car to Verinag.

6: Sonmarg "The Meadow of Gold":

Sonmarg Kashmir by Ahanger HOBO
Sonamarg the Meadow of Gold and is located 84 km from Srinagar. Sonamarg can either be reached by road or by trekking from Pahalgam. By road, Sonamarg is the last stop with tea houses, accommodations, and restaurants before you cross the Zoji-La and enter Ladakh. Sonamarg is Kashmir's most famous meadow, named for the time when, under the afternoon sunlight, the meadow turns to gold. The slopes and meadows are layered with mountain flowers, and the surrounding forests are thick with firs, sycamore, and birch, creating that sumptuous mountain aroma! Today the main bazaar of Sonamarg, like Pahalgam, has become crowded by opportunism. So please venture beyond the main road and let yourself dive into the magical mountain surroundings. If just visiting for the day there are a few activities you can explore. Pony rides and picnics are most popular with the locals. You can also try trout fishing for INR50 per fish. The best thing to do on a day trip is to walk to Thajiwas, 1/1.5 hours walk from the main bazaar, you can also take a taxi halfway and then a horse. Thajiwas is a small and lovely side valley and is located at the foot of the Sonamarg glacier. It is an amazing location, for at least five glaciers come cascading down the mountains to meet at this point! If you would like to stay the night and enjoy the mountain peaks and glaciers, there is a tourist hut and also an awesome camping ground. Another longer, walk, would be to Baltal, which is a base camp for the Amarnath Yatra. It is located 15km north of Sonamarg and is a small lovely valley at the base of Zoji La, you can make the walk but it is also possible to drive. You can camp here next to the bank of the river. If you are lucky, you will spot Gujjars and their herd being dwarfed by the snow-covered peaks, also by groves of fir and poplar trees. The Sonamarg meadow used to be a popular grazing ground for the Gujjar cattle herders, unfortunately, use and development have rendered it unsuitable for grazing their livestock anymore. Note that Sonamarg is another great starting point for exciting mountain treks. You can reach Sonamarg by SRTC Bus leaving at 8:30 am every morning during the tourist season. The 'deluxe 19-seater is INR351 and the 'high-tech' 36-seater is INR271. There are no real budget hotels in Sonamarg during the summer season, everything is priced at INR 4000 and above. If you have a tent a good option is to camp at the Thajiwas glacier camping ground.

8: Doodhpathri Kashmir:

Doodhpathri Kashmir by Ahanger HOBO
Doodhpathri is known as the Valley of Milk. Doodhpathri is a tourist destination and a hill station in Kashmir. It is located in Khansahib area of budgam of Jammu and Kashmir. Situated at an altitude of 2,730 meters (8,960 ft) from sea level, it is located at a distance of 50 km from Srinagar.
The road to Doodhpathri from Srinagar is quite pleasant. Your journey to be quite beautiful with stunning landscapes on the way. The natural beauty of the place is absolutely mesmerizing. The lush green meadows have such a velvety appearance that you will feel like walking barefoot on the green grass. The place is surrounded by tall conifers. The snow-capped mountain range looms in the background at one side. The air is cool and simply breathtaking. This is a place where time seems to have stopped!
There was once a famous Kashmiri saint Sheikh Noor din Noorani who had come to this place to pray. He wanted to pray and was looking for water in the meadows. He used his stick to prick the ground in search of water. And instead of water, milk comes gushing out. Sheikh Noorani, however, did not want to use the milk to wash his hands and feet. He thought that the milk was to be used for drinking purposes only. So by divine provenance, the milk again changed back to water! And the meadows got its name “Doodhpathri.
This place also has an interesting tale behind it. However, the name Doodhpathri perhaps came from the gushing river that flows in the valley. The fast-flowing water when strikes against the stones give a milky appearance. This could have been the reason why this place is known as Doodhpathri. After all, the name literally translates into the “Valley of Milk” Doodh means milk and Pathri means valley. The tourists visiting Kashmir usually travel to Pahalgam, Gulmarg, and Sonmarg on their first visit. Not many tourists visit here. The majority of the people visiting there are mostly Kashmiri locals going there for picnics. However, you can include this place in your itinerary if you want to explore a bit of offbeat Kashmir.

9: Naranag Kashmir:

Naranag Kashmir by Ahanger HOBO
This village can be the base camp for trekking to Gangbal Lake or to summit Mt Harmoukh. Visiting this village and its surroundings in itself is beautiful and it is possible to either camp here for the night or stay the night with the local villagers. It is also a base for the treks to Gadsar, Vishansar, and Krishansar lakes, although these require more time around 5 to 7 days of walking. The drive to Naranag from Srinagar (2.5 hours) is gorgeous and as you ascend through the valleys and see the flashes of tin roofs, baby mosques, signs of simple village life, and verdant green, you will be glad you took the opportunity! If you drive through the afternoon as the sun is on its descent, the whole world turns a warm bronzy gold, which is just champagne for a photographer or videographer.
Naranag is a popular tourist destination for its proximity and ease from Srinagar, its luscious surroundings, and the mysterious ruins of a large Hindu temple.

10: Old City Srinagar:

Old City Kashmir by Ahanger HOBO
The Old City of Srinagar must be visited before you can even get a glimpse into what traditional Kashmiri life must have been like. The old town is situated around the river Jhelum and can be divided into sections along with its famous bridges. Before the Islamic rulers came, there were no bridges in the old city, small boats were moored at either side to provide cross-river water transportation. The people of the old city are inquisitive and kind, you will be stared upon, approached, and usually invited in for chai, “chai chakha/chai pyoo”. The sights of the old city are many and varied.
There are two ways to discover the old city, by land or by sea, if you have enough time, it is suggested you experience both! You can take a Shikara or motorboat from Dal Lake, Nageen Lake, or the Bund behind Lal Chowk. Prices will be negotiable, anywhere from INR800 up, entirely depending on the season, the distance, time, and the temperament of the Shikara wallah. Shikara wallahs can also provide lunch, tea, snacks, and other items if you so desire. Seeing the old city by the water, you can really get a feeling of the geography, as well as the former glory of Srinagar. The first thing you will notice is that the Kashmiris are people of the water as much as they are people of the mountains. Their lives were and still are shaped by the bends of the river, the Jhelum particularly has been a place of agriculture, trade, worship, life, and death. You will get to see how the old city of Srinagar has been situated around the river Jhelum, with bridges spanning the river at intervals and connecting the two sides, and how many of the old temples and shrines are located right on the banks. You will see glimpses of former magnificent houses of wood and mud and official buildings constructed by the Mughal rulers bordering the river and begin to understand how much of the body of Srinagar was run by the blood of the Jhelum. There are a few ways to reach the old city on foot. You can enter from the Dal Lake by walking straight through Khayam (take the Dal Gate bridge and walk away from the bazaar and the Boulevard) and just keep walking (you can also take the bus from the Dal Gate bridge heading away from the Bazaar). You can take a rickshaw from Dal and get dropped at Habba Kadal (approx INR50) and move from there. A third and most interesting walk is to start from near the Mahkdom Sahib Shrine and wander down the streets just under, where there lives a collection of folks who have made their homes in this place.
The best way to approach navigation of the old city is either to follow the river as much as you can and Crisscross the bridges at your fancy or turn into the city and enter into the alleyways and simply get lost. Inside you will discover the trades, products, food, and architecture of old.

I have two 7 blacks and two 8 blacks. I have an off road trip coming up and would like to power the cameras off of the USB port so I’m not constantly changing batteries. I see they make pass through battery doors for the 8 but I’m not seeing such a solution for the 7 - likely because the camera has to be in a holder to be attached to a mount.

Long story short, the trans mount was loose. The dealer (Safford Brows VW) decided that, as a 15 year, at one point dual-certified vw/audi tech, didn't know what they were talking about.
Day one I spoke to the tech (who happened to be the foreman, named Eddie) and told him it was a torque related noise and that we both know there are only 3 things that hold engine torque on these cars so it should be easy. Next day, couldn't reproduce the noise. Okay. Let's go for a ride. We identified the noise. Next day, couldn't reproduce the noise. Quick note, I got an alignment done and the steering wheel was crooked as hell.
It's important to note that the noise happens every time I drove the car after 10-20 minutes of driving, once the entire bay is "heat-soaked." I told them this the first visit as well.
We do this dance for around 10 appointments over 7-8 months. I have a VW case rep and everything at this point. They get one QTM (super mechanic) out and he keeps telling me it's brake noise. Really? We drive around a bit more and finally acknowledges the clicking/clunking. Decides the car needs front shocks, WTF? Obviously doesn't fix the issue.
A month later another QTM decides it needs a subframe. Okay maybe the subframe mount, but a whole subframe? Fine, do what you've got to do. The shop foreman quits on the spot after tearing the car apart. Leaving my car torn down for another tech to pick up. JFC. Burt was the new tech's name, and me and Burt have history. Dude aligned my 20th Anniversary GTI with a crooked ass steering wheel almost 15 years ago. I'll never forget what he told me. "That's how it came in."
A month later another QTM tightens the trans mount. Problem solved, but it comes back 2 days later, and quickly becomes just as bad as it always was. Remember that alignment I got at the original visit. I asked every single appointment if they could straighten up the steering wheel, and every single time Don told me he would get it taken care of. Not once did they even touch the alignment, not even after replacing the subframe.
At this point, my case rep offers the buy back, and I couldn't accept it quick enough. They essentially offered me full sticker, with an additional $3,000 on another VW or Audi.
All in, it took the service department at Safford Browns VW in Richmond, VA nearly a year to tighten a tans mount, which I advised them of the very first visit. And, in that time the frame insert was damaged to the point it couldn't hold a bolt tight.
The dealer, Safford Browns VW is the sole reason I am turning down an additional $3,000 towards a new or certified VW or Audi. I will never own another VW as long as that is the closest dealer to me. Fuck every single person involved for trying to continuously try and gaslight me and do below bare minimum and sell it like it was gold. I have worked at a number of shops over the years, Audi Richmond, Mercedes of Midlothian, West Broad Hyundai, Mechanicsville Nissan, and I have never in my life seen such a defunct and ineffective shop.
I love these cars and have tattoos dedicated to them. I have had and built every single GTI since my MK4 20th AE. MK4, MK5, MK6, 2 MK7s, and a MK8. I just put a deposit down on a mint S4.
I owned a 2022 GTI for a year and it was a piece of shit for more then one reason and bought back by the manufacturer...AMA!

2023.03.24 13:01 MissDissphoria What are some DBT or other skills that helps one deal with jealousy and rejection

For context I’m a couple weeks out from a breakup with a partner of 7 years. A lot of shit happened. About nine months ago I broke up with him during a period an episode and he met someone 10 years younger. He claimed he still loved me and really wanted to be with me but continued to see this other woman. I was alright with it at first and envisioned some poly scenario but came to realise he had no intention of telling her that we were hooking up and he was „still in love with me“. This was an awful situation for me and my symptoms spiralled. There were multiple fights, pleading with him to empathise with both of us and do something to resolve situation, to no avail. I finally couldn’t take it anymore and issued a final ultimatum that he either tell her the truth or break if off with her or we were done. He kept seeing her. I was able to be strong enough thank god to tell him to get his stuff and leave. We still have some contact because we have two kids and I’ve had some slipups like asking him if he wanted to watch a movie but thankfully no sliding right back. Im doing a lot better but everytime I get any reminder that he is still seeing her I deal with a lot of pretty bad emotional dysregulation. I don’t know whether to call it jealousy or rejection or abandonment it’s probably all of the above and then some. The funny thing is I’m really done and actually don’t want to be with him in any way anymore but I still slide into feeling heartbreak loneliness and depressive moods. I think the fact that after all this together he really chose basically a little girl who he barely knows over someone who’s known and loved him for so long is hard atm to process. Im Open to any suggestions on how to try and not waste precious energy on this and move on for good

2023.03.24 12:43 ThroawayOverthinking CRISIS SITUATION. My Wife went on her first night out and now I don't know how to process what happened next. Rant with Desperate need of advice.

Hi, I am (32M Pansexual) and my wife (26F Bi-curious) decided to go the ENM route last year. Married for 5 years and in a relationship for 7. We both are very hi-libido.

A lot of our history because I guess context matters. I Apologise for the long post in advance.
I always knew I am Non-monogamous because non of my previous relationships worked out as I was sexually attracted to women mostly but also certain types of men and genders that I just felt right. That led to a lot of anxiety, OCD and depression. Bouts of low self-esteem and feeling worthless. I'm naturally resilient and never needed medication. I had no clue about my sexual orientation growing up in a strict catholic family. I'm an ambivert but I'm a very dominant person and sometimes a control freak wanting every detail.

My wife is bi-curious and we live in a very rigid social norms Asian country from a moderate Buddhist family. The culture actively discourages women from exploring sexuality. She was hooking up a lot and enjoyed the sex but had no idea about the concept of ENM. She battled BPD, at one point was on medication. She is a total extrovert, happy-go-lucky. Everyone she comes in contact with loves her company.

She is the absolute best. I was very open about wanting to have multiple partners from the start. We partook in kinks like exhibitionism, Light BDSM, voyeurism, and roleplay this led to us talking more openly about how she misses casual sex. Given the fact, I'm a buzzkill when going out to drinks or dinners and she really wants it.

We live in a society where anything outside of heterosexuality and monogamy is shameful. It's sexually regressive. People get shamed, lose inheritances and their lives are destroyed. So we are very secretive. Most kinks we do while we travel, staying in hotels where no one can recognize us. Away from the city where we have families and friends. Limit it to online. Our major rule is we will never get in touch with anyone we know.

After long discussions, we decided we should try dating other couples. The idea was swinging, threesome or foursomes. After a lot of time on research, posting on the regional ENM/GW community and chatting and video calls we landed a date with another couple that didn't go well because of my timid socially awkward ass and the other woman did not like me. It worked online but people are different IRL. They say they are good for a threesome with my wife but are not comfortable with me because I did not fit their expectations. My wife says I'm a 10/10 for her but I have no luck with dates. A 0/10 with most women. I just get awkward in social situations.

My wife was disappointed, we had a few rules in place and a major one was we both would participate or it's a no. That was not going well for her and I was not a big fan of hot-wife cuckold LS, I have my insecurities from a past relationship where I felt I was cheated on. I find it enjoyable when I'm actively involved. I'm dominating by nature.

We worked through it and decided that she would sext with men and see how that went. Keep it only online. If I was still not comfortable she would stop. I don't really enjoy it but I can compromise to make our relationship happy. The catch was I wanted every detail of it. She had fun and shared with me everything and our sex was much more intense. We even made groups of 3 where we discussed having threesomes as a possibility with FWB. That never materialized as we are all in different cities and all the possible reasons.

So this week she had to travel for work to another city around 200 miles for 15 days. I'm alone at home. She goes out for a drink with her colleagues. Comes back that night and tells me there were so many guys trying to hit on her and it was hard for her to say no. As we have only had sex with each other for the last 7 years. So I tell her how about she gets a dating app and see where it goes and it went bonkers. She got about 600 superlikes in a single day and now the total likes going around 4000. She starts chatting with men. She shares that she has a hookup date that wants to meet her for drinks and if all goes well they will get a room in a different hotel and hit it off. So I say ok, I swallow my pride and tell her to have fun but we have unbreakable rules. It's this or it's an absolute no.
  1. No unprotected VP. A condom is a must.
  2. No oral sex (BJs) because don't contract STIs.
  3. She keeps me updated all the time. Share's live location shares his profile and the hotel they go to. Just so the panicky anxious me can stay sane that she's safe. Well, our country is known for rape and women abuse so can't be more careful.
  4. If someone in her company notices she will abort the date.
  5. She has the autonomy over choosing when and who she can see as per her time as long as she is safe.
  6. She will decide how far the date goes as per her comfort level.
  7. It's a one-time thing unless we discuss it together on taking it FWB. No phone numbers were shared.
  8. In case they do end up having sex, She shares the details. A naked selfie of herself in the hotel room, or a voice note of her screaming, if the other person agrees to a good video. Something that we can remember the night when we meet and talk about it. (This was purely my idea)
  9. She tells me everything in minute detail about the whole experience. Once she's back or the next day as per her convenience. We will share and talk about the experience.

So they meet, have drinks and she goes to his place. He insisted and she obliged. No hotel room. I was under the impression that it's mandatory to get a hotel. They go to his place, they drink some more and she is now not texting. She sends me the location so which calms me down I wait for about 3 hours patiently.
She texts me and I'm excited to get to the details. I ask her how was it. She is not giving me any straight answers. She says I might flip and not like her. I ask her why? She says it was really great for her. She had a wonderful time. They got to talking about a lot of stuff and they made out and had sex.

I'm glad, she's happy and she reaches her hotel. So I ask her if she got any pics or voice notes. She said she was going with the flow and she didn't wanna ruin the mood and the guy was not willing to. I agree it was irrational of me to ask this of her. I'm dissatisfied. devasted. I tell her I wanna be a part of it, can she tell me what went down? She says she's tired and we can talk the next day. I let her sleep. I cannot sleep the whole night.
The next day I cannot think of anything other than what might have happened. I wish her a good morning, be nice to her. I wait till the evening and ask her if she can tell me what went on and she says she had a good time. I tell her I wanna know what happened, give me some details and she says I wouldn't like it. she starts to patronize me saying he was not half as good as me, I'm the best but I find it way too disrespectful and at this point, everything she's saying is a lie. She doesn't tell me much but evades the question. She says she has another date planned now and she needs to leave.
I'm wondering did they use protection, what is happening? I'm having panic attacks. That causes physical pain. the last time this happened was 8 years ago when I went through a breakup with my ex-girlfriend and I can't breathe. My heart is pounding. it only gets worse. This was yesterday she doesn't text, call or let me know. I don't know who this guy is. I have no clue what's going on.
I call her colleague and ask her if she's doing ok and her colleague calls her room. It seems she got too drunk and did not remember when she got back and forgot to text. Well, I'm glad she's safe so I let her sleep it off.
This morning she tells me nothing happened. She got a bit too drunk and got back to the hotel and passed out on the bed.
Whiskey and Cigarettes are keeping me sane for the day. She has another 3 days left before she comes home.
Now, today she has another coffee date.
I am Looking for advice on the things:
  1. How do I process this? I feel my trust is broken. My insecurities have taken hold of me. I know we desire each other. I love her.
  2. What do I do next? I feel everything until now was a big lie. I feel we had an understanding but to what extent do I compromise my sanity for her happiness? Is this even worth it?

Any advice on how to move forward? I think we trust and love each other to make this work, I'm shattered ... I am just sincerely terrified of harming her and ruining our beautiful relationship.

2023.03.24 12:30 KingofSpain0 Leviticus 27

Leviticus 27:1-34
The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘If anyone makes a special vow to dedicate a person to the Lord by giving the equivalent value, 3 set the value of a male between the ages of twenty and sixty at fifty shekels of silver, according to the sanctuary shekel; 4 for a female, set her value at thirty shekels; 5 for a person between the ages of five and twenty, set the value of a male at twenty shekels and of a female at ten shekels; 6 for a person between one month and five years, set the value of a male at five shekels of silver and that of a female at three shekels of silver; 7 for a person sixty years old or more, set the value of a male at fifteen shekels and of a female at ten shekels. 8 If anyone making the vow is too poor to pay the specified amount, the person being dedicated is to be presented to the priest, who will set the value according to what the one making the vow can afford.
9 “‘If what they vowed is an animal that is acceptable as an offering to the Lord, such an animal given to the Lord becomes holy. 10 They must not exchange it or substitute a good one for a bad one, or a bad one for a good one; if they should substitute one animal for another, both it and the substitute become holy. 11 If what they vowed is a ceremonially unclean animal—one that is not acceptable as an offering to the Lord—the animal must be presented to the priest, 12 who will judge its quality as good or bad. Whatever value the priest then sets, that is what it will be. 13 If the owner wishes to redeem the animal, a fifth must be added to its value.
14 “‘If anyone dedicates their house as something holy to the Lord, the priest will judge its quality as good or bad. Whatever value the priest then sets, so it will remain. 15 If the one who dedicates their house wishes to redeem it, they must add a fifth to its value, and the house will again become theirs.
16 “‘If anyone dedicates to the Lord part of their family land, its value is to be set according to the amount of seed required for it—fifty shekels of silver to a homer of barley seed. 17 If they dedicate a field during the Year of Jubilee, the value that has been set remains. 18 But if they dedicate a field after the Jubilee, the priest will determine the value according to the number of years that remain until the next Year of Jubilee, and its set value will be reduced. 19 If the one who dedicates the field wishes to redeem it, they must add a fifth to its value, and the field will again become theirs. 20 If, however, they do not redeem the field, or if they have sold it to someone else, it can never be redeemed. 21 When the field is released in the Jubilee, it will become holy, like a field devoted to the Lord; it will become priestly property.
22 “‘If anyone dedicates to the Lord a field they have bought, which is not part of their family land, 23 the priest will determine its value up to the Year of Jubilee, and the owner must pay its value on that day as something holy to the Lord. 24 In the Year of Jubilee the field will revert to the person from whom it was bought, the one whose land it was. 25 Every value is to be set according to the sanctuary shekel, twenty gerahs to the shekel.
26 “‘No one, however, may dedicate the firstborn of an animal, since the firstborn already belongs to the Lord; whether an ox or a sheep, it is the Lord’s. 27 If it is one of the unclean animals, it may be bought back at its set value, adding a fifth of the value to it. If it is not redeemed, it is to be sold at its set value.
28 “‘But nothing that a person owns and devotes to the Lord—whether a human being or an animal or family land—may be sold or redeemed; everything so devoted is most holy to the Lord.
29 “‘No person devoted to destruction may be ransomed; they are to be put to death.
30 “‘A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the Lord; it is holy to the Lord. 31 Whoever would redeem any of their tithe must add a fifth of the value to it. 32 Every tithe of the herd and flock—every tenth animal that passes under the shepherd’s rod—will be holy to the Lord. 33 No one may pick out the good from the bad or make any substitution. If anyone does make a substitution, both the animal and its substitute become holy and cannot be redeemed.’”
34 These are the commands the Lord gave Moses at Mount Sinai for the Israelites.
