We have one of those nice Radio Flyer wagons, and my son loves going out in it. Ideally, I was looking to find some easy trails that can accommodate pushing him in. But I would love suggestions for anywhere I can take him to enjoy nature, people watching, or just any curious thing to look at.

- Of course I look familiar. I was here just last week cleaning your carpets, painting your shutters, or delivering your new refrigerator.
- Sometimes, I carry a clipboard. Sometimes, I dress like a lawn guy and carry a rake. I do my best to never, ever look like a crook.
- A loud TV or radio can be a better deterrent than the best alarm system. If you’re reluctant to leave your TV on while you’re out of town, you can buy a timer.
- Yes, I really do look for newspapers piled up on the driveway. And I might leave a pizza flyer in your front door to see how long it takes you to remove it.
- Here’s a helpful hint: I almost never go into kids’ rooms.
- If you don’t answer when I knock, I try the door. Occasionally, I hit the jackpot and walk right in.
- If decorative glass is part of your front entrance, don’t let your alarm company install the control pad where I can see if it’s set. That makes it too easy.
- You’re right: I won’t have enough time to break into that safe where you keep your valuables. But if it’s not bolted down, I’ll take it with me.
- Hey, thanks for letting me use the bathroom when I was working in your yard last week. While I was in there, I unlatched the back window to make my return a little easier.

- A good security company alarms the window over the sink. And the windows on the second floor, which often access the master bedroom - and your jewelry. It’s not a bad idea to put motion detectors up there too.
- I always check dresser drawers, the bedside table, and the medicine cabinet.
- I’m not complaining, but why would you pay all that money for a fancy alarm system and leave your house without setting it?

Picked up a used one of these for 50 bucks at a thrift store hoping we could fix it…the lights and sounds all work and it came with the charger. However, nothing happens when when we push the pedals or shift the gears. The charger turns green to show it was a fully charged battery. Checked all the connections and everything looks good.
Seems hard to find exact replacement parts without much previous knowledge of how to fix these…so I stumbled into this sub hoping I could find some answers.
With my super limited knowledge it seems like it may need a new motor or gear box…but what exact parts would I need? Hoping to be able to order parts off Amazon.

Oroku Saki, the Shredder
Tonight, I dine on turtle soup...Oroku Saki was one of the Foot Clan’s most promising ninja, second only to Hamato Yoshi. Jealous of Hamato’s skill and imminent rise to leadership, Oroku hatched a plot to have his rival exiled from the clan. When a sensei from another clan visited, Oroku pinned Hamato’s robes to the wall, preventing him from bowing. When Hamato pulled out the knife, it was considered a plot to kill the sensei, and Hamato was banished from the Foot Clan. Now the leader of the Foot, Oroku used his position to turn the organization into a criminal empire, and traced his old foe to New York City. Oroku attempted to kill Hamato by pouring the chemical called Mutagen on him in the sewers, not knowing that it would instead mutate Hamato and four baby turtles into the greatest enemies he would ever know. At some point, he met with Krang, an alien warlord from Dimension X, and partnered with him, becoming the Shredder and vowing to finish Hamato and his students once and for all.

yesterday i shook fearing one day there will be a funeral
your parents showing off a doll in your coffin while they lock up your body in the attic
roses burst forth from the valleys in your arms
a november snow freezes your pale trembling hands ~~~~~~~~~~~~ We Lived on the Same Street
crossed legs, nightgown on linoleum
your glazed gaze peeked into the oven’s open mouth, eyes brown beads watching sand dunes rise
famous instant cornbread, ordered to taste like saturday
funny to think, you would have kissed that floor if it wouldn’t have crumbled under innocent touch
your strawberry kiss could have seduced faded porch tricycles , garden hoses, screaming, watermelon, hula hoops, the radio
brought to bed with you as boredom does trouble the scent of when cigarette smoke punches lilac, strangling it as a weed might strangle a daffodil
you would come over for warm tea and to press the daffodil between pages, forbid it from abandoning our liminal neighborhood
the sun would paint our kitchen table, in that fourth wall poem-world ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Observing through a Clouded Film
i find myself weary of shedding skins
rifling through personas , a dusty file cabinet
each day stretching a theme over my rotting corpse
smiling as i bite back the taste of my decaying core
i swear i can smell what a creature I am
what i would give to be a soft-furred animal
i sleep amongst cold rocks and wake up sorer than the day prior
the hot december sun awakens, i wash myself with yesterday’s bathwater
skin erodes to nothing before water runs clear
i rifle through my collection of skins, finding one so impenetrable that perhaps today i will talk to a stranger
not even let him chew and spit my teeth until i shut-the-fuck-up
i feel the way filth follows me, dripping from bone
imprinting it aged six-plus-one such a dire mistake
i wonder if my barbie dolls rot away on their own
if they long for clothes
if they too are afraid of their names
perhaps if i am meek and good enough one day
an alias will contort around my rot so perfectly i may call it mine
and deceive forever under the same format
how then could the public sense my death?

I have a theory that The Song is a demo by a band local to the radio station, and that they played it in advance of a concert in the area because the DJ or station wanted to give them some exposure. The radio station I listened to growing up occasionally did that for local bands who had a "big" show coming up, like a festival or an opening slot for a more famous band.
Unfortunately we don't know exactly when The Song aired, but looking at old concert flyers/posters or show announcements in local newspapers or other press, focusing on the support acts, might surface some names to research.
Anything that narrows down the timeframe that The Song was broadcast makes this easier.

Hello. My 4yr old has a Radio Flyer Tesla and it lasts for an ungodly amount of time. Is there a kids ride-on that's already powered by similar batteries as the Tesla?
I was wondering if anyone has attempted anything like this, swapping all the guts into another shell? I'd love to have a jeep, 4x4 or something.

The Summary Offences (Obstruction of Public Places) Amendment Bill 2023 was introduced to the Lower House last Thursday and passed soon after with Labor and Liberal support, in the wake of a traffic-stopping Extinction Rebellion protest against an oil and gas industry conference at the Convention Centre. Besides increasing the maximum fine 66 times, the legislation introduces a three month jail term, makes defendants potentially liable for emergency services costs responding to the obstruction, and broadens the offence’s scope to include indirect obstruction of a public place.
The legislation prompting concerns from groups including SA Unions about the right to protest and the Greens now plan amendments based on Human Rights Law Centre advice to try to lessen the “impact of this draconian law” now heading for Upper House approval. The centre’s senior lawyer David Mejia-Canales advised the bill makes the offence of obstructing a public place easier to establish and could capture other conduct including “a person sleeping rough on a pavement, someone handing out flyers in a street” or young people striking for climate change where a person “may not fully understand that they are blocking public space”.
The South Australian Council of Social Services urged the Legislative Council to “stop this ill-considered attack on civil liberties, community rights and, ultimately our democracy, from passing into law”. Amnesty is holding a Protect the Right to Protest in SA rally, joining forces with Adelaide Uni Students for Climate Justice, National Union of Students Education Department and Uni Students for Climate Justice. In a statement announcing the rally, one group said: “Premier Malinauskas has backed the bill saying that disruptive protest actions interrupts business unnecessarily but we see the defence of our planet against climate destruction as an urgent necessity.”
Malinauskas said on radio on Thursday morning that the bill would be introduced to parliament that day, following the abseiling protest on Monday and later protest actions including throwing paint at oil and gas giant Santos’s Adelaide headquarters. Australian Lawyers for Human Rights president Kerry Weste said the rushed legislation had a“a chilling effect on people’s freedom to engage in protest action”. “ALHR urges members of the Legislative Council to oppose the Bill and ensure its human rights impacts are properly inquired into, including through public consultation,” Weste said.
“This Bill and the way in which it is being rushed with so little scrutiny, lays bare the dire need for a South Australian Human Rights Act. The people of this state deserve to have their rights to peaceful assembly and freedom of expression protected in law.” “This Bill has the potential to impact a wide range of protest activity: students, healthcare workers, First Nations people and their allies, environmental campaigners, disabled campaigners or any South Australian resident who directly or indirectly obstructs a public place in order to campaign for their rights face a life-changing prison sentence and crippling fines.
