I was about 3 months deep in a severe and traumatizing 6 month long dp/dr episode where I was staying up every other day, and the days that I did sleep I was getting at most 4-5 hours.

I was in 9th grade at the time and my parents believed that I was lying or exaggerating the way I was feeling (I also had a trigger at school that would make my dp/dr worse) and they made me feel like a spoiled brat when I would beg them not to make me go to school or for them to please give me some time to figure out what the hell was happening to me and to let me process what I experienced.
I would end up going to school crying because I felt even more alone when I was there because everyone felt like sort of holograms and everything felt so flat and fragile, like my own existence could cave in on itself. I had no friends because no one felt real. I would listen to their videos while I was at school because they seemed like they were the only one that could understand what the hell I was experiencing.
and what I think made the parasocial relationship worse is the fact that I started to get better right as they started to "get better". it was honestly a whole lot of weird coincidences where my mental health seemed to sort of lined up with theirs for a while.
well, anyways, I realized how attached I got to this person and I ended up cutting off all media consumption, but now I've noticed that I cannot watch anything without feeling deep dread and uncomfortableness about accidentally forming another parasocial relationship. I still think about J everyday even though I haven't even been on their accounts or seen what they've posted in ~4 months, and I really wish I would stop.

I'm currently running Tyranny of Dragons and have changed quite a few things about it. Right now the party has been captured by the Cult of the Dragon during the Dragon hatchery chapter (chapter 3 I think) and is about to have a ritual preformed on them by my homebrew version of the Red Wizards of Thay (called The Black Death in my homebrew world. They are a Plague doctor themed wizard organization. They do bad things)
This ritual involves chanting, dancing, stabbing the PCs through the heart, killing Dragon babies, mixing all their blood in a pool and forcing it back into the PCs all while the ritual master and the 50+ other evil wizards sing "The Hu's" Wolf Totem. (Give it a listen if you're not familiar. You wont regret)
Anyway at the end of this ritual the blue Dragon who was at greenest bursts in looking for his mate (she was being held prisoner. The Cult was forcing the blue Dragon to do their bidding under threat of harm to his mate. The mate potentially birthed some of the dragons used in the ritual. Unwillingly) As the PCs lose consciousness they see the Dragon fucking shit up.
The ritual was actually a test run. This was the first time the wizards got it right and if everything had gone according to plan then they would have simply killed the PCs once they achieved success. However the Dragon (tipped off by Bahamut, who the PC have met but don't yet realize because he was shapeshifted) ruined these plans. So the PCs will awake with some extra powers based on whatever color Dragon they now share blood with! (Determined by rolling a d6, Black 1, white 2, green 3, blue 4, red 5, free choice 6)
I need advice on the powers I want to give to my players. The party will be level 6 when they get this and I want them to be a little OP as I like my PCs to feel pretty badass. (I like anime and main characters need to be strong. It also let's me punish them more in the long run lol) so let me know what you think about this...
DRAGON SOUL-
The dragon blood coursing through your veins gives you dragon like qualities. Your eyes change color to match the color of the dragon you share blood with. Your pupils become reptilian. Your skin becomes rough and slightly scaly everywhere except your face, palms, and soles of your feet. You grow claws and your teeth become sharp. You also gain the following traits.
-Blindsight out to a radius of 10 ft.
-Resistance to damage based on the type of dragon you share blood with.
-You gain a breath weapon that does 7d6 damage of the type of dragon you share blood with. It recharges on a short rest and you decide weather it's a 15 foot cone or a 30 foot line. Target must make a DC 14 DEX save, half damage on success.
-You gain Darkvision out to 60 ft (120 ft if you already have Darkvision)

• You gain claws that do 1d6 damage and have the finesse property.

DRAGON FORM-
As a bonus action you can enter your Dragon Form. Your body evolves to resemble the Dragon you share blood with. Your become covered in scales that match your dragons color. You grow 50% bigger (your size does not change) and wings erupt from your back. Your head also grows horns and changes shape to resemble a dragon. While evolved this way you gain the following benefits (replacing the dragon Soul benefits where applicable)
-You gain a 60 ft fly speed
-Immunity to damage based on the type of dragon you share blood with.

• Your breath weapon now does 16d6 damage, has a DC of 16 and recharges on a roll of 6 on a d6 (rolled at start of turn). Also the range is doubled. (30 ft cone, 60 ft line)

-Boost any one skill by 4 (you can boost a skill over 20 with this trait)

• You gain a bite attack that does 1d8 piercing damage and has the finesse property.
  
• You gain +1d6 damage (based on the Dragon you share blood with) to all attack and spell damage rolls (excluding Breath weapon)
  

Your Dragon Form lasts for 1 minute. When you end your dragon form roll a d12. The number you roll is the number of days you must wait before using this ability again. If you use this ability again before then, roll a d6 on activation. The number you roll is the number of levels of exhaustion you take when it ends.
And that's it! I plan on taking the PCs to at least level 17 so they get to experience that sweet end game bliss. Let me know if you think I should buff or nerf. And if you have any suggestions they are certainly welcome!

I've been on the Mirena IUD for just shy of 3 years now, and my period is starting to return. I noticed I've been getting incredibly "moody" recently and couldn't work out why - until I remembered that periods alter your mood. I had completely forgotten this since prior to my IUD, I was on the pill since early teenhood and would usually skip my periods.
And man! Is it usually this bad? What in the flying fuck. For reference, I also have ASD so I feel like that is changing how my period mood swings behave, but I haven't had violent (to self) meltdowns like this since I was a teenager. Screaming, crying, hitting, the whole nine yards. What On Earth. Does it get this bad for you guys too? I would like to revoke owning a uterus, thanks.
I spoke to my GP and he told me I could consider early replacement of my IUD, or go onto the pill and take it as needed? (Is that a thing?). Anyways. I'm coming off the tail end of my period now and desperately need to decide what I want to do before my next period starts because I literally feel insane lol.

So I am looking to make a Forrest aquascape with a twist. I want to make a swamp aquascape and of course this poses challenges since we're trying to make water, underwater. I thought about trying to use Elatine hydropiper to make it look like a swamp covered in duckweed and then do dwarf hair grass on the banks. I plan to use bonsai driftwood trees and affix Java moss to make the 2 trees on each bank. I would love suggestions on other plants that would go well with this swamp theme if anyone has suggestions. I was also thinking about using some aqarium safe epoxy resin to make a black/brown piece for the swamp water instead what do you all think?

I had gained weight last year after suffering an injury to my tailbone. After being unable to walk or move for nearly two months, I gained over 50 pounds. I weighed well over 300lbs. I remained that weight until I realize I couldn’t live like that anymore. I hated how I couldn’t wipe myself properly because of my fat rolls.
Last October, I was invited to go on vacation in May. That gave me the determination to lose the weight. So I walked every day for an hour. Made sure to cut out my fast food and soda intake. I didn’t reach my desired goal, but I finally hit a good spot where I’m not out of breath from speed walking around. I can finally go upstairs without feeling like my lungs are burning. While I’m still overweight, I was feeling way better about myself. I dropped down a pant size. My ankles don’t swell up anymore after walking around. I finally felt good that I was making progress.
It was all great until my boyfriend told me he got into a fight with his mother on Friday. He told me that she was congratulating him on losing weight then made a comment about how I’m gaining the weight he lost. It set him off and they got into a fight. While I love that he defended me, it still hurt to hear. I’m struggling with the overwhelming urge to buy junk food and binge eat. It’s eating me up and honestly just getting this off my chest is an attempt curb the urge.

Edit: I managed to fix the shifting, however now I can use my throttle. It starts fine in neutral but as soon as I get into second gear it’s gone and doesn’t come back. I have full throttle calibration but once I start driving it’s gone.

I’m new to rFactor 2. I’m using a Fanatec GT DD Pro, ClubSport F1 Wheel, and CSL Elite V2.
From the start I have had issues with inputs not reading correctly.
I have managed to assign everything - I think. However, I can’t seem to fix a massive issue.
I can’t change gears without game glitches. Every time I change gears it drops me back to either Neutral or 2nd. Then my Throttle Input stops working. It’s endlessly frustrating.
I have tried work arounds, including:

• Disabling Steam Controller Inputs.
• Yellow Compatibility Mode on my DD Pro (the game doesn’t recognize it at all in that mode)
• Changing profiles for the Fanatec in the settings
• Manually assigning everything.
• Deleted and Reinstalled the Game

Is there an actual fix that works? I’d really like to try it out and play some LFM.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
I am looking to buy a bike to ride with my friends and also use for cardio. The issue is that I am over the weight limit on lots of bikes. I would not call myself a strongman or bodybuilder, but I am pretty strong and in decent shape. I'm 5'10" and weigh 310 lbs (look up Akinfenwa and that's similar to me lol) and most bikes I've seen have a 300 lb weight limit. What should I do? Like what bikes should I look at? I'm looking to spend no more than like $500 and my buddy suggested a Trek Marlin, but those get expensive. Just wanting some advice before I make a decision. Thanks in advance!

I've been writing (whether it be short stories, for roleplays, or otherwise) for a little under a decade. I developed a love for roleplaying when I was thirteen, my first exposure being in a group roleplay with some of my friends from school. Since then, I've been a fairly active roleplayer, writing everything from romance, slice of life, angst, drama.. pretty much anything you can think of. I've written for tons of different plots, played a variety of different characters, and written in many different styles.
I do have an idea or two floating around in my head (and by that I mean plot elements or characters, not necessarily entire plots) but my favorite thing to do is exchange plot/setting/character ideas back and forth with my partner and coming up with something new and unique to us. I find that combining my ideas with that of my partner often creates the best and most entertaining stories. However, I'm 100% down to give any plots you may have a look; there are very few things I won't try at least once.
For the roleplaying specifics: I prefer to write in third person, but I do fairly well writing in first person too. I consider myself to be fairly literate; I use proper grammar and punctuation (though I don't always use the Oxford comma) and write responses at least 5-6 complete sentences long, usually longer. Proper spelling/grammapunctuation isn't an absolute necessity for me, but it is a preference. Really the only things I require in a partner are responses that leave me plenty to work with, consistency, and open communication. I realize that everyone has lives outside of Reddit, but a heads-up if you're going to be away would be much appreciated. I will extend the same courtesy to you.
I prefer to use Discord for roleplaying, but I will use Reddit chat, Google Docs, Telegram, WhatsApp, etc. as well. Though you should keep in mind that I'm most active on Discord, so that's the best place to reach me if you prefer quicker responses. I do tend to be fairly responsive, and you can usually expect a message back almost immediately if I'm not busy or sleeping.
Just a couple more things:
I don't like (most) fantasy roleplays (this includes roleplays that take place in medieval times). Some are okay, but I prefer things to be fairly realistic and modern in the plots I write for. That mainly pertains to non-human characters, but I’m usually not into magic and other “fantastical” things, either. I have a hard time stretching my imagination when it comes to things outside of conceivable reality, unfortunately. And, I tend to stay away from fandom roleplays, because the ones I'm in are pretty niche, and I'm not active in the most popular ones, meaning that I'm not familiar with the source material and likely wouldn't be able to write for it the way you'd like me to. Other than that, I'm open to almost anything.

Posting this just to try and make sense of this guy. We were together three years off and on. One of the times we were off he had told me he would watch my stories just because he wanted me to know he was still there. We ended up getting back together for another year and we were really good, fixing old habits, growing with each other, when out of no where he broke up with me. I had a feeling days before that something wasn’t right, i think sometimes your body just knows when someone has done you dirty. He told me we weren’t compatible, he didn’t want to be with me anymore, and that i wasn’t changing or growing at all. Well, i found out he had been cheating on me with multiple people, who all knew about me. I felt like an idiot not seeing it before. fast forward 8 months later (now), and i’m doing so much better. I’m working on myself more than i ever have and i’m trying to heal from the trauma of our entire relationship. Every few weeks, he’s viewing my social media, days in a row. I even had this anonymous account that i was convinced was him, until he just started using his real account to watch them. I don’t care enough to block him, i don’t try and view his stuff. I think it’s just a manipulation thing for him to keep watching me even tho he fucked up the relationship. What do you guys think?

I'm not going to say that I know your pain, because I do not. I can't even imagine what you must be going through. When I try to imagine, my mind recoils in horror and dispair and refuses to go further. If there was something, anything, that I could do or say that would help in any way, I would say it and do it in a heartbeat... but there is nothing. There is no fixing it, and I can't be the person to help you through it (that's a job for a professional).
You already have pelnty of toughts and prayers from all your other coworkers. Hands on mouths, gasping "how awful" and "what a tragedy", they all hop on the misery bandwagon, wanting to be seen doing something. Emails carrying your pain laid out for everyone to see, zipping around the desks of strangers.. I shall not approach you about this, I'm not looking for your thanks. We are barely aquaintances, I'm sure my personal condolences would bring you very little comfort.
But my heart still breaks for you all the same.
