2023.03.24 12:22 Accurate_Number_1818 What is permitting statue in commercial modern Interior design?

Modern interior design is all about creating sleek, sophisticated spaces that blend form and function seamlessly. Whether you’re designing a commercial space like an office or retail store, or a residential space like a condo or apartment, understanding the role of permitting statutes is essential to ensuring a successful project.
So, what is a permitting statue in commercial modern interior design? In simple terms, it refers to the laws and regulations that govern the design and construction of interior spaces. These statues are put in place by local and national governments to ensure that buildings are safe, structurally sound, and meet certain standards.
In modern interior design, permitting statues plays a critical role in ensuring that the space not only looks great but is also functional and safe for the people who will be using it. From fire codes and accessibility standards to zoning laws and building codes, many factors must be taken into consideration when designing and constructing a modern interior space.
One of the primary goals of modern interior design is to create a space that is both aesthetically pleasing and functional. This means that the design must take into account the needs and preferences of the people who will be using the space, as well as any legal requirements that must be met.
For example, if you are designing an office space, you will need to consider factors such as the size and layout of the space, the number of employees who will be working there, and the types of activities that will be taking place. You will also need to ensure that the space meets all relevant safety and accessibility standards, such as providing wheelchair ramps and ensuring that there are adequate exits in case of an emergency.
Similarly, if you are designing a retail space, you will need to consider factors such as the size and layout of the space, the type of products that will be sold, and the needs and preferences of the target audience. You will also need to ensure that the space meets all relevant zoning and building codes, such as ensuring that the space is properly ventilated and that there are adequate parking facilities for customers.
In addition to meeting legal requirements, modern interior design must also take into account the latest trends and best practices in the field. This means staying up-to-date with the latest materials, finishes, and design elements that are being used in contemporary interior design.
For example, many modern interior designers are now using sustainable materials and energy-efficient technologies to create spaces that are both environmentally friendly and cost-effective. Others are incorporating high-tech features such as smart lighting and automated controls to create spaces that are both functional and cutting-edge.
Ultimately, the key to successful modern interior design is to strike a balance between form and function, aesthetics and practicality, and legal requirements and design trends. By taking into account all of these factors and working closely with an interior designer such as Flipspaces can create spaces that are not only beautiful but also functional, safe, and sustainable.

2023.03.24 12:19 cm-cfc Different Apartment types

Housing crisis is getting to me, and the lack of ideas from govt. My area are getting probably a dozen 10 story apartments, which everyone is going mad over but from looking at plans everyone is basically the same with 1,2 or 3 bedrooms.
I can see why families would be reluctant to move in one as you could be next to young folk who have parties or 40% is social housing which is just an unknown.
Why dont the earmark each apartment block to a 'type' to ease concerns anf tailor the shared spaces for that group eg:
Families- layout to suit their needs, extra batchroom, living area etc. Communal playroom, washroom, park etc that makes family life easier
Younger- smaller units, studios, 1 beds etc so cheaper rent. Shared space for chilling out meeting neighbours, movie rooms etc
Older- reduced countertop heights, have Communal areas for local groups to form meet etc.
I just think the 1 size fits all approach alienates certain groups

2023.03.24 11:53 Intrepid-Inspector80 Need advice on long-ish distance relationship issues (25M) + (22M)

Me (25M) and my GF (22F) have been officially together for just over a year now but started seeing each other around 18 months ago and are currently having some issues with new distance in the relationship.
When we first met she lived 40 minutes away, which at the time didnt feel so bad. We took things slow (mostly on my terms) but ended up fostering a committed relationship. She began to look to move closer to me, viewed several places to rent and even got a job near me. Though i currently live with my parents she spent most days with me and stayed most nights while she was looking somewhere.
The first half of last year was great, we went away together a lot made a tonne of memories in a short time and built a genuinely amazing relationship. My relationship before her was 8 years long, and ive felt so much more love in this newer one. Im basically trying to say that things were very good, everything was so easy and it just felt like we were made to be a team.
Summer came around and she ended up landing her dream job opportunity of becoming a tattoo artist (apprentice position). The studio was 50 minutes away, but it didnt seem so bad i was just thrilled for her because these positions are famously hard to get. A couple months later she ended up getting a place over there. On a good day it's 50 mins away, on a bad more like 70.
Initially she was working 3 days and living off of savings as well as the small amount she earned at the time. So we still had time to make the trips and stay with eachother for a few nights at a time. However she now works a full 5 days, but tattoo apprenticeships arent particularly lucrative so shes even having to now look for part time work to fit around it.
Im freelance, which is both a blessing and a curse, it means i can be flexible with my time and work from home at her place so we can see eachother on evenings. It also means that my work can be super sporadic and lead to unfortunate timings where we may not see eachother for over a week or more.
But things have been particularly tough recently. We had a bit of a rough patch before Christmas where she didnt feel i was making enough effort and felt that i wasnt committed to our future (she was right to a degree in that i hadnt been doing much to show my intent and put that effort in) then she ended up kissing another guy on a random night out. She owned up to it after it had happened and we took some time off, i made the decision to let her back and try to rebuild some trust. Though many people might think thats not a great move i was happy with my decision and things actually got way way better, we had some conversations and loads of time together over Christmas which was a blessing. Our relationship genuinely got a second lease of life after that.
However the pain from that still festered and i still struggled to fully trust her, the past couple of months ive been quite anxious and maybe sometimes overbearing and just feeling suspicious which has definitely had an effect on her too.
The last month in particular has been difficult as shes had to do things on her usual days off and work has become more busy for me, typically on her days off too. So weve been trying to block out time together but its proven difficult.
This past week ive noticed that shes been a little off, i managed to stay at hers last night and decided to semi address the situation. I was upset and didnt put on my best performance (tears etc) but basically she said she feels like our relationship and her life where she currently lives are two separate things, like shes living 2 lives almost. She said that she feels like she cant establish a social life where she lives or fully settle because of our relationship. Shes always been quite needy (i dont mean that in a negative way) in the sense that she likes to have me around all the time, she basically said that all of the issues that have come with the distance are not what she wants in a relationship. Both of our love languages are physical touch and quality time which arent helped by distance.
The further issue is that we dont have an end goal/distance closer in sight. I will be moving out of my parents house this summer to a city that is even further away (probably 90 minutes total), she considered moving to the city too but says she doesnt want to make the move if im the only reason (which is fair enough i understand that perspective fully). I had tried to push her to move and look for an apprenticeship in that city but she seems to think it will be impossible as theyre super hard to get.
During our conversation last night she said she had kind of made the decision to settle there because it was easier than moving again. We didnt really come to any sort of conclusion, as far as i know we are still together but it feels like its all hanging in the balance.
I want to make this work, i believe we have a good relationship and the only reason for it to end would be 50 minutes of driving, which feels like a waste to me. I considered taking more time off to wrap our heads around the issue but I'm anxious that more space isnt the solution. Im concerned that she will now think im being too needy and anxious as ive made it very clear i dont want things to end.
Any advice would be so appreciated, even just a new perspective!
TLDR: GF (22F) of just over a year recently moved 50 minutes away for work. We have a very good relationship (barre one rough patch where she kissed someone else as our relationship took a hefty dip). Things have been busy and we've struggled to see eachother more than once a week recently. I will be moving further away (90 mins) in summer and we dont have an end goal of distance closer in sight. Im freelance so sometimes can work at her place and see eachother on evenings, she had time to look to move to the city that im moving to but has decided to settle where she is as she doesnt want to make the move just because i am.

2023.03.24 11:30 Brionzie Landlords won't renew my contract.

My Girlfriend (22) and I (M24) have been living in one room of a two room flat in Brighton while we attend university since August of 2021. There was a mold issue since before we moved in however the issue has significantly deteriorated since we took over from the previous tenants (opening windows, heating on in the winter, using a dehumidifier etc). Despite how well we've dealt with the problem the landlords emailed me to say that the mold issue stems from two people living in one room. Here's the email:

Morning [My girlfriend and I]
I’m afraid that I have some bad news for you. After our visit to the building the other day, the landlords have decided that they no longer want 2 people sharing a room. The damp issues are mostly down to having more than 2 people in any one floor, and the belongings that are crammed into the room, make it the sort of environment that condensation thrives on. They have asked me to let you know that your contract will not be renewed once it ends on the 19th August.
I’m sorry to have to inform you of this, but it does give you plenty of time to find alternative accommodation.
Best wishes
[Agent]

I feel it is unfair that we have to be re-accommodated for a problem clearly caused by negligence of previous tenants and the fact that the issue has lessoned a great deal since we moved in shows that their claim that our things are accommodating the damp is hollow. It doesn't help matters that there is no dryer in the flat nor a space outside to hang our clothes out so all of our clothes have to be air dried within the flat.
My girlfriend and I are from The Republic of Ireland and therefore not entitled to maintenance loans to aid in rent and bills, it's all paid out of our own pocket. And this flat has proven to be the only place affordable for us to live in. If we have to move out, I'm afraid we'd have to abandon our education and move back home.
If anyone has any suggestions that could convince the landlords to renew our contract then I'd be very appreciative.

2023.03.24 11:09 Tight_Firefighter806 Al Qudra Lake And Love Lake Dubai

Al Qudra Lake And Love Lake Dubai
Al Qudra Lake is an ideal camping spot for those seeking a quiet and remote campsite away from the city. Many campers in Dubai head to Al Aweer Desert and Lahbab Desert, known for their red dunes and Desert Safari activities; however, there are numerous other beautiful campsites around Dubai too! Visit Al Qudra Lake today for an unforgettable camping experience; no doubt it is one of Dubai's best kept secrets as it's less crowded than Lahbab Desert or other popular areas nearby.
https://preview.redd.it/r5qes7lovnpa1.jpg?width=8000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1392f9be17605078c16116264cbe17d2f53147f1
It contains 20 billion cubic meters of water and covers an area measuring 3 km2 at its deepest point and 1 km2 at its shallowest. As a result, this lake has become increasingly popular with birdwatchers due to its diverse biodiversity.
Al Qudra Lakes are situated in the Al Marmoom Desert, only 30 minutes away from Dubai. This desert oasis boasts several heart-shaped lakes including Love Lake (pictured), Logo shape of Dubai Expo and Heart shaped Love Lake. Visitors can camp or go for a picnic on the lake while enjoying affordable barbecue meals. Al Qudra also provides plenty of outdoor activities and makes for an ideal romantic getaway spot.
Best Place for Camping Outside Dubai City
Al Qudra Lakes Camping Resort is the ideal option if you're searching for a quiet location to camp while still close to Dubai. Not as crowded, but still close by, Al Qudra Lakes or Love Lake lies south of Emirates Road and offers plenty of restaurants and shops that will keep your spirits high while offering some peace and quiet away from city life.
When visiting this stunning campground, the ideal time to visit would be between spring and winter as fewer people will be camping here and that means more space for all visitors.
Nature enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers will adore Al Qudra Lake. Here, there are flamingos and swans galore, plus bike trails and an observation tower to enjoy the view. Not to mention that these tranquil waters make perfect picnic spots!
Did You Know Al Qudra is Not Just One Lake?
Al Qudra is actually an array of more than 10 lakes located in Dubai's desert. Popular names for these bodies of water include "Love Lake" and "Moon Lake", while recently added Expo2020 Lake was developed using the brand logo for Dubai Expo2020.
Best Time for Camping at AL Qudra Lake
https://preview.redd.it/zozo6tpqvnpa1.jpg?width=768&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=97586e7f0b0f6cdc400594ac39fe16c99ccec776
At night Al Qudra Lake is an excellent camping spot all year around; however, summer may not be ideal due to its high temperatures; I recommend avoiding camping during this season and opting for spring or winter months when temperatures are more stable at night. These seasons provide cool evening temperatures which will make your camping trip truly amazing!
The lake area offers plenty of dining and shopping facilities, from noodles to ice cream.
When did it start?
Love Lake is an artificial oasis created by man in the desert. As you approach its edge, expect to spot flocks of birds (which may include pink flamingos) as you make your way towards the water's edge.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, the Crown Prince of Dubai, unveiled Love Lake Dubai in November 2018 without warning to captivated attention across the UAE. With its picturesque backdrop of palm trees and sand dunes, there was no premonition before its presence was made known.
Other Activities You Can Enjoy At Lake Side
Love Lake Dubai is an eco-friendly park that provides a tranquil haven to relax. It has its own running track and you can rent bikes to get around. Plus, watch colorful fish and swans swim in the lake! Plus, this makes for great family bonding time too!
There's a picnic area with fencing, 3 jogging trails, and an oval badminton court. If you plan on staying the night, bring camping equipment as well as food/drink and your grill for cooking out. To maximize your comfort when camping, get there early; additionally, it is recommended that you bring along a trolly cart to transport all your gear.
Are you searching for the best outdoor activities and attractions in Dubai? Look no further than Love Lake Dubai - a man-made heart shaped lake surrounded by young Ghaf trees that gives it an artistic appearance. Perfect for romantic getaways, its turquoise waters and sandy beaches will soothe your senses, making you feel as if you've found paradise. Besides providing an idyllic atmosphere, its sand dunes and wildlife make this place the ideal refuge from everyday life.
If you're in search of some delectable food, look no further than the food park. In winter months, this outdoor eating establishment is a perfect spot to grab a bite to eat while watching hundreds of birds enjoy themselves. Spend quality time with your loved ones by the lake; there are several places nearby where romantic dinners or fun days out with friends can take place.
Love Lake Dubai's other draw is its breathtaking sunsets. Watching the sun set behind majestic sand dunes is an unforgettable experience and a perfect way to cap off an amazing day at Love Lake Dubai! Don't miss this chance for something truly extraordinary - book your stay now!
Does Al Qudra Ideal for Families to Visit
Al Qudra is also an ideal destination for romantic outings. Couples and families can spend a romantic night at Love Lake, a huge heart-shaped lake. At night the desert oasis offers stunning views that make for stunning stargazing or taking pictures. And if you're into nature sports like kayaking and canoeing - Al Qudra offers plenty of activities! That's just one of many attractions available at Al Qudra!
When you visit Love Lake Dubai, take some time to enjoy the breathtaking scenery. This lush oasis boasts over 16000 different plants and trees that provide a tranquil haven away from the city life. Plus, you'll get to witness some of Dubai's most picturesque sunsets from its shores!
Al Qudra Lakes are an eco-friendly destination to camp with families, offering stunning views of the park and desert landscape. It's one of the few lakes in Dubai with a healthy wildlife population - not only flamingos but a variety of birds who call Al Qudra Lake their home.
Experience an Amazing Sunset View

Love Lake Dubai is one of Dubai's most picturesque spots, marked with signs and easily viewed via satellite from Google maps. Not only does the lake itself resemble a heart shape, but its entire area surrounds it - designed with love and care to showcase Dubai's admiration of nature. Come join us and experience this idyllic oasis for yourself!
Campers love this popular destination and it can get quite crowded on weekends. If you're thinking of camping, it's one of Dubai's free outdoor activities - just remember to bring all your necessary gear! You'll also find many picnic tables around the lake where you can enjoy your meal while admiring its picturesque sights. Barbecue pits and toilets are also available nearby.
What to Know Before Travelling to Love Lake
Entry is free - no permits or tickets necessary
Don't feed the fishes or birds in the lake as this isn't allowed
If you wish to fly drones at lake side, a verified permit from authorities is necessary.
Winter camping is ideal if you're looking to escape city lights at night; summer nights can be too humid. When planning a night camping trip in winter, dress appropriately as desert temperatures at night tend to drop significantly lower than urban settings.
Please discard all leftovers (like charcoal) into the garbage area, as this can be hazardous for wildlife and aquatic creatures.
You can go there in any average car; however 4x4 vehicles are recommended in desert areas.
Other Attractions near The Love Lake
Other attractions nearby The Love Lake include
Camel Farm
Camels are the traditional mode of travel among Arabs, commonly referred to as the Plain of the Desert. You can experience this unique way of life with a Camel Ride at Al Qudra Lakes; an unforgettable way to take in all that this desert life has to offer! Is Nvidia still a buy? The GTC conference unveiled new hardware and software that brings great potential!
https://preview.redd.it/sx0hvg95onpa1.jpg?width=463&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cdb71dcbc1cc569d74ff1f7d3f5bfdfde9bcb4e6
At the GTC, Silicon Valley's largest artificial intelligence event, Nvidia's founder CEO, Jen-Hsun Huang, showed the world his determination to march into AI and showcase a series of king-size products. Because there are too many professional terms involved, even if you are from science and technology, watching the video will also be a bit overwhelming, so I spent a long time to figure out how to use more simple and easy to understand words to explain to you, and analyze each new technology will bring what good impact for Nvidia in the future? After all, Wall Street institutions love it when companies have a steady stream of new stories, just like Tesla, where the number of stories and the stock price are often directly proportional.
https://preview.redd.it/nqnsc169mnpa1.png?width=626&format=png&auto=webp&s=c6980be23ed1359bd46624b966770ef3b08870c4
At NVIDIA GTC 2023, Jen-Hsun Huang, still wearing his signature leather jacket, gave a keynote speech while standing in front of the vertical green wall located at NVIDIA's headquarters. The presentation focused almost entirely on artificial intelligence.
The highlight of the whole GTC conference
  1. Launch of ChatGPT's dedicated GPU, H100 NVL with dual GPU NVLink.
https://preview.redd.it/n6t2rkedmnpa1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=39229641d2db08d8a566c49ed7ceba724a037b9a
The benefits are simple and straightforward: faster and lower cost.
How faster: A standard server with four pairs of H100 and NVLINK can process 10 times faster than the HGX A100 for GPT-3 processing. According to the website, the H100's combined technical innovations It is possible to increase the speed of large language models by 30 times.
Ontology reduction now: H100 can reduce the cost of processing large language models by an order of magnitude. In a sense, computational cost has become the core issue hindering the development of generative AI today, and OpenAI has burned billions, if not tens of billions of dollars for this reason, and Microsoft has never opened the new Bing to the wider public for cost reasons, even limiting the number of conversations users can have per day.
https://preview.redd.it/d5gho9ahmnpa1.png?width=656&format=png&auto=webp&s=fd83b7b22523da785d9a8d0068dfc86f9ca73a6c
NVIDIA is launching a more efficient arithmetic solution at this time, which is undoubtedly a big problem for the industry to solve.
In fact, Huang has repeatedly said he has seen the development potential of the AI industry 10 years ago, as well as the decisive role of GPU for AI. Nvidia is precisely optimistic about this, only to throw its weight behind the development of GPU products more suitable for AI.
OpenAI launched GPT-1 in 2018 with just under 120 million parameters, while GPT-3, the last one to announce its number of parameters, has 175 billion, and while some experts believe that ChatGPT and GPT-4 have potentially smaller numbers of parameters, most voices in the industry believe that more powerful models assume this larger parameter size and consume more computing power.
OpenAI has published information that thousands of NVIDIA V100 GPUs were used to train the previous generation of GPT-3, and research firm TrendForce reported that GPT-3 used around 20,000 NVIDIA A100 GPUs for training, and that the number of GPUs needed for commercialization of ChatGPT will be over 30,000. will reach over 30,000 GPUs when ChatGPT is commercialized.
Such a large number of parametric operations means that ChatGPT needs powerful arithmetic to support its training and deployment, and the arithmetic depends on the underlying chips. Chips, especially GPUs, CPUs, FPGAs, and custom high-performance chips, are the "core underlying power" behind ChatGPT and other potential AI chatbots.
DGX Cloud: Bringing AI to Every Enterprise
As an early practitioner of the computing industry Huang Renxun witnessed the development of this industry for 40 years, his technology is getting closer and closer to everyone, but we also see the higher the threshold of computer programming, forming an invisible technical gap, so that most ordinary people are getting farther and farther away from programming, but also let many traditional industries do not really use digital technology to enjoy the benefits of arithmetic progress.
This time, Nvidia whole a big job is to "ChatGPT same model" moved to the cloud, open to the public. The DGX Cloud is an AI supercomputing cloud service, and you know how invincible it is just by hearing the word "super". It is characterized by the ease of handling high-load computing work, in addition to Nvidia also sells services to expand the scale and influence of Nvidia. But the price is not beautiful, enterprise customers can rent $36,999 per month.
https://preview.redd.it/24k9mh9qmnpa1.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=48f9b35d16ff7f6506630d0bcb81aa00612fe3e8
DGX Cloud provides support from NVIDIA experts throughout the AI development process. Customers can work directly with NVIDIA engineers, tune their models to the best possible state, and quickly solve development challenges in a variety of industry use cases.
In 2016, Huang hand-delivered the first DGX supercomputer to OpenAI, and seven years later, the DGX Cloud gives top-notch AI computing power to every company to accomplish tasks that were previously impossible. It is easy to imagine that advanced applications like ChatGPT, which can improve human communication and increase work efficiency, will continue to emerge, bringing more convenience and surprises to our lives.

https://preview.redd.it/bq2he3qtmnpa1.png?width=656&format=png&auto=webp&s=cfe093deac977f4f6b952bbf24e1141f9d163fcc
ChatGPT I myself think, from the bottom of my heart, is a really, really great thing, and the amazing thing is that everyone has a different reason to use it, and everyone finds it very INTERESTING, and that's its charm. Summarize articles, write code, tax returns, write poetry, but also from a chart to see the laughing point, so powerful that you fine drop jaw, although it can not do some things today, but the future are possible to achieve! ChatGPT appeared for the artificial intelligence industry is equivalent to the iPhone in the field of cell phones, which I think the old Huang said a good point!
Everyone can take the idea of mobile computing and bring it together into one product, and we see a product that everyone likes, whether you are a farmer, a doctor, a nurse, a front-line worker, an assistant, a travel agent, or a small business, a restaurant owner, it doesn't matter, everyone is a programmer, isn't it?
And it's ChatGPT's terrific that's bound to make Nvidia terrific later!

So how good is Nvidia now?
First, the most intuitive market value to give you a comparison: at present, Nvidia market value of $ 653.8 billion, has been nearly six times the market value of Intel, and than Tesla market value is almost $ 50 billion.
Nvidia in the AI data center GPU field almost no competition, controlling 90% of the market, competition in the AI acceleration chip market with a partial monopoly position, all the core chips of artificial intelligence, can not be separated from Nvidia. Nvidia's chip is indeed cattle, ChatGPT in the entire planet can not find a replacement chip, from the egg theory, without Nvidia's chip and large model training, there will be no ChatGPT.
Nvidia's AI supercomputer DGX is the engine behind the big model of language, DGX has become a necessary tool in the field of AI, so the development and prospects of artificial intelligence are dependent on what Nvidia can upgrade its own chip to.
In addition, NVIDIA also released a breakthrough computational lithography technology manufactured with 2nm chips - NVIDIA cuLitho computational lithography library. Computational lithography is the largest computational workload in chip design and manufacturing, consuming tens of billions of CPU hours per year. cuLitho can increase the speed of computational lithography up to 40 times faster.
Previously, it took chip makers two weeks to process a single mask board, while running cuLitho on a GPU took only eight hours. Currently, the world's largest fab TSMC, the world's largest lithographer manufacturer Asmac (ASML), the world's largest EDA company Synopsys (SNPS) will use this new technology.
ny one of the above pulled out, can achieve a unicorn enterprise, and so many awesome technology collection together, it is not just a unicorn, but a technology carrier, it is no wonder that Nvidia can grow so fast. It can be said that Nvidia constructs the infrastructure of artificial intelligence, it is an artificial intelligence infrastructure builder, but also a pioneer in research and development.
NVIDIA released a set of hardware and software facilities that allow customers to use AI applications faster and easier, standing behind more startups to provide services.
Especially ChatGPT Business emerged to accelerate the commercialization of AI on the ground, NVIDIA is facing an immense cake, on the other hand, AI will also bring disruption to the current industry.
It is reported that Adobe is working with NVIDIA to build a whole set of next-generation Al for future creative work; Shutterstock is also working with NVIDIA to train a generative text-to-3D conversion base model to simplify the creation of detailed 3D assets.
Jen-Hsun Huang through this launch is to tell everyone that generative AI brings this wave, everyone must participate or be eliminated. What's even crueler is that you can only participate through our products, because in the GPU space, I have no rivals!

Nvidia is so expensive, why is the market still bullish?
There is no doubt that Nvidia is one of the most expensive technology stocks on the planet, with a P/E ratio of 139x under GAAP and a book value of 27x. We combed through the data and found that within the past year, Nvidia's revenue growth rate was 0.22% and earnings growth rate was -54%, and revenue has declined in the last two quarters and is expected to decline year-over-year in the first quarter of this year - which doesn't match its stock price surge trend, ah.
The price-to-sales ratio looks to have come to 23.9
https://preview.redd.it/ff7oodj4nnpa1.png?width=472&format=png&auto=webp&s=b2e97d1a30590e27e70b80b179a56dcb83cf45e4
And AMD only 6.51
https://preview.redd.it/ghetfoj6nnpa1.png?width=493&format=png&auto=webp&s=b63da55fad75beef1a4bafde91b4d6451dd2cb09
With the huge wave of AI, NVIDIA's dominant position leads to high valuation. It is worth noting that with the transformation of Nvidia, their business focus is no longer the game graphics business, but the data center, AI, high-performance computing and software business, while data center revenue growth rate is also much higher than the game business, and will continue to maintain this trend development in the future, so the world's demand for AI and computing power in the future will again drive the growth of Nvidia's performance.
NVIDIA's market position in the data center is rock solid. Whether rival AMD, or is entering into layoffs and pay cuts, the executive exodus storm Intel, can not compete more quickly 90% of the share in the hands of Nvidia, with its direct chip competition.
Therefore, Wall Street generally believes that Nvidia is somewhat similar to the Dutch lithography giant ASML: a partial monopoly, no competition at the high end of the market - one of the key factors for all investors bullish on Nvidia stock.
Investment firm Baird believes "meaningful" orders are coming in for ChatGPT, and helped NVIDIA raise its data center revenue estimates for the second half of the year.
We believe that although there is a lot of capital speculation in this recent AI boom, there is no doubt that the emergence of ChatGPT does allow ordinary consumers to see AI start to truly integrate into our lives, which will also accelerate future enterprise investment in AI, only in the next year or two during the period of high economic uncertainty, enterprises may not have a large capital expenditure for the time being. But for the long term, the investment in AI infrastructure and equipment will certainly be one of the biggest catalysts for Nvidia's future.

2023.03.24 10:17 Santoov No responses and sceared to call

I'm with my bf for two years. We talked about me hating when he ignores my texts and doesn't answer my calls. He does than not only with my texts. He just sometimes doesn't text back. But he sometimes just doesn't text me for days. I try to give him personal space and time so i don't bombard him with messeges and calls when he does that. We mostly hang out on weekendsm and every Friday I ask him if i can come over (we leave in different cities, 1 hour ride). Sometimes he says yes on fridays but sometimes he says no and i come on saturday. We doesn't really come over to my place (He lives in the house with partens and I only rent a room so it's more comfortable to be at his house) To be honest I'm always scared to ask if I can come over, even if it happens every week. And when he bearly text me for most of the week I'm scared that he doesn't want to see me or he is mad at me even if nothing bad happened. I'm just scared that he just says no and I hate spending weekends alone in my room. How to stop stressing over not getting textes and being scared to just ask to hang out or call.

2023.03.24 09:59 twistedguts18 University is ruining my will to go on.

I am an international student about to go into my second year of law in Manchester after interrupting my studies for a year due to various personal circumstances. Now that September is reaching, my anxiety is going through the roof.
My first year was horrible. The accommodation and the people running it were absolutely abysmal in terms of their responses to flat issues - I actually had a homeless man break into our flat and sleep in our kitchen and the security did absolutely nothing about it. The social scene was pretty rough for me too, I really found the clubbing and night life overwhelming, and in lectures found it extremely draining to try keeping up new friends. The few people I did talk to only invited me to flat parties and pre-drinks before clubbing. As much as I tried to fit in and open myself up to new experiences, I wound up spiralling into one of the most isolating periods of my life. Combined with my already very borderline mental health, my first year was spent battling extremely dark thoughts, depressive episodes where I could not move from my bed and generally feeling like a shadow. The university's mental health services were a complete joke, with shockingly unempathetic and blunt responses.
My only saving grace in my first year was that I spent the last few months entirely in my home country because of Covid-19 measures. Since all my exams were online too, I felt much safer and less vulnerable in the space of my own home. I realise that I need to complete my degree having only 2 years left, and I can't stay at home forever, but I just don't know how to cope. I'm scared. I would feel anxious even stepping outside my flat with increased paranoia that something bad was going to happen to me (I did have my share of traumatic experiences too). Basically my first year threw me off alot, what with people saying its supposed to be the best time of your life.
Today morning I tried to get myself together to look for accommodation for the second year. But the anxiety attack that I have experienced just looking for places to stay has me so, so afraid to go back. Its gotten so bad to the point where I obsessively count down the days left till I have to go back. Now I am on medications and seeing a psychologist ever since my interruption year started, but I still know that I am so unprepared to go back. Moreover, the living crisis in Manchester seems so bad right now, with entire university buildings being occupied for rent protests and other strike actions interrupting teaching schedules making the thought of returning that much more hectic.
In short - I don't know what to do. I have nobody I can reach out to in the UK. This is a cry for help. Please tell me how to gather the strength to go back, anything.

2023.03.24 09:49 monjomar Buying a condo outside Metro Manila for secondary home and not rental business

For context, our family ay native sa Taguig, wala kaming probinsya, even sa birth certificate ko Metro Manila ang nakalagay na province ko, same with my parents and grandparents, dito lahat talaga kami sa Metro Manila nagmula. So my dream is to buy a property outside MM to have a home away from home, but I prefer condo living or small living. Just a small space for myself (or my parents) para may getaway kami from Manila. I still love our place here tho.
I don’t see myself buying a townhouse or a house and lot yet as I’m still single and pwede pa mabago ang place of preference ko where to settle. So I’m really set on buying a condo with decent amenity (e.g. pool, jogging path, greeneries) and nasa tranquil location (e.g. Tagaytay, Nuvali, Calamba, Pampanga, etc.)
However, I observed the reasons ng majority of condo buyers on this group ay very different sakin, first is marami ay mainly for rental business, second naman is they are not from Manila and they are looking to have an address here (baliktad sa main reason ko hehe)
I still have to look for someone na halos may same reason din sakin sa pagbili ng condo, I’m questioning myself tuloy if I have the right mindset on buying a condo. End use lang and parang on the side lang yung investment. If nabenta ko sya after 10 or 20 years e di masaya haha. I consider rin na investment group ito so majority ng mga reason talaga will lean towards pa-rent, flipping, buy and sell, airbnb or value appreciation.

2023.03.24 09:19 throwradumbbimbo pedo narc fathers talking about me behind my back to grandmother(his mom) to save his own ass. how do i navigate this?

hello all! i’m 22! to make a long story short, my sister disclosed to me a couple years ago my dad SA her when she was a young teenager. my sister has had two mental breakdown related psychosis hospitalizations (very long) due to the stress of not being able to share with my mom what she had gone through. my dad intentionally gave her and me the house we grew up in to rent while they moved out. he made this seem like a gracious move when it was really to silence her since she needed help finding a place for her and her daughter to live.
about 9 months ago my sister finally told my mom and the divorce and house is being sold. he agreed to give half of the homes sale money to my mom so we could find a place. we aren’t even going to sue him or anything legal that way even though we should.
he tells my grandma who i caregive for that my sister and i are ungrateful and i’ve wasted his time bc i haven’t committed to a career. he says my sister and i can’t make it on our own. she relays this to me as my dad and i are NC. he says for that reason he’s going to sell the house because he’s that much of a good person.even though my sis and i have both done a lot for ourselves despite the challenges. he talks poorly of us and i can’t keep biting my tongue. it’s sick. i need support. what do i even do?
