I came across a big similarity when reading up about several ancient unconnected cultures and their mythologies. A general story that seems to be an allegory for an old divination technique known as the geomantic act. It seems as if several of these stories about the creation of the first temples/sacred structures/the world are describing a localized version of the same story. I wanted to know some professional opinions on it because personally it think it has finally made sense of these strange mythologies.
I did not write this it was taken from an article I have been reading on an unrelated subject.
"So if all these distant civilizations shared the same ancient culture or started out fdrom the same sort of mother culture then surely there would be some evidence left of it right? I thought so too so I spent a considerable amount of time looking for connections that would be too specific to ignore or pass off as coincidence. Finally after years of searching I found them.
The main one, and what this section is about is a shared cultural art between ancient China, South America and Ancient Egypt. This art is known as geomancy and in China it is known as Feng Shui, each one of these places I just mentioned contain huge pyramids within their borders and both Egypt and the south American cultures have a very similar story of creation that seems to be an allegory for what they call the "geomantic act". A divination technique used to build temples and buildings in the exact right spot (according to the practitioners of it).

I will summarize it but you should actually take the time to read it as it is only a few pages.
The actual geomantic act is divining a place using the four directions to pick the right location, then once found stabbing a sword, stake or metal wedge into the ground at the exact center of the planned building, usually there is something done to consecrate this center which they call the navel of the structure. Another way to view it (like the above book says) is a hero slaying a dragon or serpent with the aid of four warriors/weapons/deities then building a holy structure on the place the monster was killed. This is how they represent the act in allegorical form in the European version of it.
For the Egyptian mythology I have posted a scan of a very rare book that details the first published translations of the Edfu Temple in Egypt. As the title indicates it details the mythological origin of the first temple that appeared on earth according to the oldest Egyptian records we had found as of 1969 (when the book was published). The objective story the Aztec/Olmec/Mayan/Inca (I am unsure who originated them, I am not a historian) and Egyptian creation myth (according to the Edfu Texts) begin with a world of darkness with no land, only sky and water and a god who lives there, then the god one way or another creates the first world/land which is an island, and the first people, eventually fighting ensues, then because of the fighting the earth is engulfed by water or the island disappears (same thing when you are the only land). Then from this water the new world rises and is rebuilt in the old worlds image from the "bones" of the old world.
Now that story could be shrugged off as mere coincidence I suppose, However...Later in these stories of creation another identical event happens. In the Egyptian and Aztec myths a hero or creator god and group of 4 gods, protectors or warriors represented by four animals and four directions. Do battle with a serpent type monster that always represents chaos. They win this fight and slay the monster and then on the spot it was slain build a sacred temple.
What I just described to you seems to be another allegory used in other cultures for what they call the geomantic act, a local adaptation of it.

-Page 35 in the book is the summery of the fight. A fight between a serpent and a hawk and his four protectors who represent the four directions. Just as the book "Secret Games of the Gods" described the geomantic act, using the four directions the "hero" would slay the "dragon" and build on the spot it was slayed.
-Page 196 details it. It should also be noted that Tanen became Ptah-Tatenen who was the god of creation and temple building. The page below also clarifies that the sacred place would be built where the snake enemy was slayed.
-Page 324 is the overall summery of the book and outlines the new world made from the bones of a dead god.

-Page 297 states the earth god which is found to actually represent earth said to have a “Ka” (spirit) and the earths “Ka” being present was the perquisite for building these temples. So the earths energy had to be present at these sites for building and then once the temple was made it had to be activated by joining with the earths Ka.
Also of note these 4 animals from the Edfu texts also turn up in the book “The Secret Teachings of All Ages” written in 1923 a few decades before the Edfu texts were even translated.

This fits the geomantic act because it also is using natural energy to pick a location for a sacred building (according to the practitioners of it).

This story of creations shares many similarities with the story laid out in the Edfu temple and seems to also be an allegory for the geomantic act.

So it was time for war — the four gods attacked the sea monster, pulling her in four directions. She fought back, biting Tezcatlipoca and tearing off his foot. But at last Cipactli was destroyed.
From this enormous creature the universe was created (in some traditions this happened between the last two suns). All the 13 heavens stretch into her head. The earth was created in the middle, and her tail reaches down to the underworld (Mictlán) (nine underworlds, to be exact).
You could say that in the Aztec creation story the world is on the back of this sea monster, floating in the water of space (reminiscent of the Iroquois belief that the world rests on the back of a turtle).”

So according to the above story of creation the Aztecs thought that their land was on the back of a serpent type dragon monster that was killed by four gods by stretching it in the four directions. It actually had many similarities with the geomantic act and its purpose laid out in Secret Games of the Gods. That book also said the purpose of the act was to control the "serpent" in the earth and stop its chaos from destroying the building.
Now its pretty hard to dismiss those stories as mere coincidence, those stories are seemingly localized versions of what is known as the “serpent slaying myth” in indo-european culture. A story that is told and was told in cultures the world over in various localized versions in a time when they had no communication or even knew each other existed. As we saw in the Edfu temple book even the ancient Egyptians had this myth and practice of geomancy.

in the Aztec myth this scenario also plays out but they are gods who animal incarnations or representations are “plummed serpent” (implying a feathered or flying snake), Jaguar, hummingbird, and a god that has no definite form and takes many forms and is the god of warfare.
in the Aztec myth the gods also represent directions. The 4 Aztec directional gods have aspects of the 4 guardian animals. Not the exact same animals mind you but the overall same animals (snake, bird, big cat, formless/unsure)
(I should note that I was unable to narrow down if these are the actual directions they represent because I came across several conflicting sources. However its the overall general story that is important and not the specifics as they would be adapted anyway)

-Xipe Totec has a controversial history, some people think that the god replaced an earlier god from the story, I could find no credible source about his animal form or direction (though only north is left) however, He is the inventor of war according to the Aztec mythology so that lines up with the Chinese feng shui direction (we will get to this in a moment) of north being the tortoise or "black warrior" (Warrior)

In the Aztec myth the 4 gods do battle with a "serpent/fish", they slay it by ripping it apart in the 4 directions then build from its body on the spot it was slain their world/empire. That is objectively the same story from the book I linked with 3 out of the 4 animal guardians being the same.
Now these animals turn up in one other place with pyramids within its borders. China and Taoism, specifically the 4 animals that represent the 4 directions often associated with the ancient art of Feng Shui which in actuality is the Chinese art of geomancy.
In feng shui the four directions are represented by 3 out of the 4 are the same kind of animals. The entire art of it is about choosing the right location to build things using divination.

Not only that but the directions in Aztec mythology are represented by the same color pallet as the Chinese four guardians Black, white, blue and red. Only north and west line up with being the same color and same direction but all the colors are the same.

3 out of 4 creatures match the Aztec and Egyptian mythology and they are all referred to as guardians or gods. The one odd guardian/direction out is the tortoise replacing the bull but interestingly enough the tortoise is also called the black warrior and Xipe Toltec (formless/many formed god) the Aztec god of the north is also the god of warfare. They are also the only animal/god/directions with unsure names or forms which in itself is a link in common all three versions have. Perhaps it was called a different name in the past.
The “plummed serpent” sounds like a spot on interpretation of a Chinese dragon, depicted as flying snakes often with feathers.

There is undoubtedly a connection here. The beginning of the earth from the various cultures being the same objective story could easily be dismissed as coincidence. The same 4 animals representing in some cases the same directions and originating from the same scenario which is then used to pick the spot to build a holy place or building however cannot be dismissed so easily and I think is incredible evidence that a shared or "mother" culture existed between them. That all three cultures would also contain within their territory pyramids is also to hard to dismiss as a coincidence with all of this evidence laid out.

So, I met this girl Kylea. About 2 years ago. She was dating my co-worker's son. This was back when I used to work at a liquor store. She started working there too and because we were pretty much the only people our age, and because we worked with each other so much, I kind of developed a crush on her. I was 2 months out of a year long relationship. We used to flirt(jokingly) all the time. I never thought too much about it. Then my co-workers(not her boyfriend's mom) started pointing it out that she might have a crush on me too. Apparently, she made it pretty obvious but I'm just dense like that. She started telling me things about her relationship and how her boyfriend was kind of abusive. One Sunday night when it was just us two in the store and it was pretty quiet, she came on to me pretty strong. I was 23 at the time and pretty lonely, going through some of the worst years of life. I had just lost my mom to cancer the year before and had just broken up with my girlfriend because I didn't feel my heart was into the relationship anymore. I wasn't finding joy in anything, other than going to work and getting to spend time with Kylea. She was so much like me, we pretty much became best friends. That Sunday night, we figured we would eventually end up fucking. I knew she was in a relationship, and I wasn't looking for one, so I assumed we were on the same page. Next week, I picked her up, brought her home and we did it. Not to brag or anything, but it was the best sex of her life, and mine. She came about 6 times and took me an hour and half to finish. We were exhausted, and she was so sore she couldn't walk. The ride back to drop her off was weird. She was looking at me differently. She came over again the next day. This time as well, all that passion and sexual tension of months led to great sex. She said she loved me in the middle of it, while looking into my eyes. I said it back. After that night she never left my place. Her boyfriend eventually found out after a week or so(I had asked her to tell him, and end things with him like an adult plenty of times). Around the same time my roommates were fed up with me too because of Kylea staying over all the time. She moved back with her parents, and after getting kicked out of my place, I couch surfed at a friend's for a month and a half, and eventually(after about 5 months) found a place for me and Kylea. She moved in after a month and half. We had both quit our jobs and moved to a new city, looking to start a new life. We were talking about marriage all the time, and having sex, laughing, dancing. I was in love. And I believe so was she. She couldn't find a job and I was on a work permit in a foreign country, which was ending in 4 months. I took care of her and covered her for the next 5 months. We decided we would just get married so I could get residency and keep on working. We wanted to have kids and our own place. I was 24 and we had been dating for over a year, I was sure that this was the woman I was going to marry. I met her family, and she was the first girl I ever introduced to my family. I was her first boyfriend that her family liked. Everything was perfect. Then, this January, she got fired from her job for nothing that was her fault. I'll admit that she did not deserve that. I truly believe that. But before moving forward, let me give you all some context. She was still texting her exes while she was with me, and when I found out and confronted her, she got mad. She started punching me and shoving me, and I managed to keep myself in check. I picked up my basketball and left to go play ball so I could not think about it. It didn't work. Then she came looking for me, crying and apologizing, and I melted. I could not not forgive her. I loved her. She said she wouldn't do it again and I forgot about it. Coming back to January 2023(the whole texting thing happened in August 2022), she got fired and next month happened to be her turn to pay rent. I bought her hair dye, a hair straightener and a new hair dryer because she had always wanted one, and I wanted to see her in better spirits. She dyed her hair the next day. She straightened her hair the day after that. Day after that she met me outside the house, and she was looking gorgeous. She had makeup on, and red straight hair. I was blown away, truly happy and ecstatic. Delighted even, because she seemed to be in a better mood. She said she was going to go to her mom's place for the night. I said okay and kissed her, and told her I loved her. She said she loved me too. She gave me a tight squeeze, and said goodbye. For some reason, that night, her leaving made me really sad. Almost to the point of tears, as if I knew that was the last time I would get to see her. She picked that up too and told me not to cry over her, as she shut the door behind her. Next three days I kept texting her and waiting for her reply. She would send me a single text every night, saying she was going to stay one more night. I trusted her. The fourth day, Friday, I got off work and was looking forward to coming home to her. She wasn't home still. I texted her but didn't get a reply. And then I made a mistake, I texted her mom. I asked her mom if she could get Kylea to reply to my texts, and her mom told me that she wasn't there, nor had she been for a while. I broke, then and there. I texted her the screenshot of her mom's text and told her not to come home. I asked her if she was cheating on me, she said no and that she was with a friend(refused to say who, said "does it even matter") and just needed some space to think things through. We were supposed to get married the next month. After that, she blocked me and wouldn't reply to her mom, or me. After a month of a constant stream of texts, and just general degeneracy, I stopped texting her. Then my manager from the liquor store texts me and tells me that she saw Kylea, with her ex. The one she told me used to hit her. The one she told me was an alcoholic, to the point where he had trouble getting an erection. The dude was a couple of years younger than me. I turned 25 last month, and its been 4 months since she left. I have no answers. I don't know what I did wrong. Maybe it's karma, maybe its just bad luck. I know I'm not the only person this has happened to, but it still hurts so much. I keep thinking about her from time to time. I keep getting Google photos memories of her and me. I can't bring myself to look at the pictures, nor delete them. I even downloaded Tinder again, on the advice of some friends. I've talked to some girls and tried to put myself out there. To find a distraction, to find someone better, or to find someone I deserve, however good or bad I am. Her cheating on me was not my fault, but I can't help but blame myself, for being so naive, and stupid.
Kylea, you'll probably never see this, and honestly I hope you don't. I don't want to give you the satisfaction of thinking that you found something else(while you were with me), and I'm still struggling to come to terms with the fact that its over.

I really like bows and arrows but in most games I've played they either aren't present or are made completely irrelevant by guns.
As for games I've played, I played the first horizon zero dawn but wasn't really into it. Nothing about the gameplay really clicked for me. Played both the most recent Zelda games, and the bow was more of a utility than a primary weapon. Played RDR2 and never found any reason to use it past the smallest game, despite really wanting to like it. Risk of Rain 2's huntress has a bow and although it doesn't feel a whole lot different from any other gun in the game, her mobility makes me feel like a nimble archer, which makes up for it a lot. Splatoon 3's bows didn't do a lot to win me over. Might give it another shot soon.
Weirdly, the best bow I've ever had was in Dying Light. The ranger bow was everything I wanted in a bow. It's in its own league, rivaling guns due to the sound and ammo pool, I can recollect my arrows, I can control the draw speed and distance, and it's overall just so cathartic to use. I think I could marry it.
Since bows are nowhere near as often represented as guns or swords, I thought I'd ask you. I'm aware Skyrim has one, but I try to avoid Bethesda games. I heard Destiny has some, but I'd rather not sink that much time into it.

I (F23) broke up with my first boyfriend (M25) a few days ago. We started dating in June 2022 and made things official in November but we had been exclusive before then anyway.
Things have been hard the past month; we love each other a lot but we were finding that we were incompatible in certain ways, and particularly how we see our future. Solo perspective. Holy hell this weapon is miserable.
Will it break the fucking game to give HH more damage? What's the worst that could happen if you wake up tomorrow and all HHs start dealing double damage? Guess what, it will still just do what half the bows are doing, it will still be trench tier on popularity. Not even speedrunners can push this junk remotely close to average.
It has about the worst pool of switch skills. Let's first go through the silkbinds, a move that costs animation commitment for ~1k damage, another move that costs animation commitment for ~1k damage that requires songs, an upkeep move that costs animation commitment for those extra pitiful horns that have no atk up, an upkeep move with hyperarmor (we sure don't see a lot of these in Sunbreak right), a hyperarmor wiredash (very unique and interesting wow).
But what about melodic slap/overhead smash? What about swing combo/crush attack combo? Well what a surprise, you still remember they exists. Because all I see two years ago was crush perform crush perform crush perform, oh bugs are ready, earth shaker, crush perform crush perform, and what I see today is silkbind shockwave, crush echo crush echo crush echo, oh bugs are ready, sonic boom, crush echo crush echo crush echo. Like Capcom dear god if you are going to make horn attacks heal the monster, at least put some variety into it.
And it is such a colossal fucking waste, the horn moveset is so diverse you can perform beautiful strings of combos like melodic slap kick up multi crush magtrio inferno melody, that is, if the monster is literally wailing on the floor unable to fight back. The utility in these basic attack moves are so shit, and the animation so slow that you have 10x the commitment of other weapons with 10% of the benefit for risking your neck. Other weapons can poke with less frames than horn needs in seconds. And let's not forget that horn has the distinct honor of being the only weapon without a guard point in Sunbreak, round of applause please. At this point redirection might be the best fucking move horn has access to, think on that for a bit.
Good god I tried to like this weapon, but as it currently stands it is neither fun nor effective to play horn solo.

Also grouping online with other people facing similar situations and guiding them in a empathetic and rational manner will go a long way for the TI community to learn from each others experiences and help other TI’s as well. There are however alot of people who are not really TI’s and use this platform to mislead alot of other TI’s with false information and to discredit you, but finding the right support group is necessary to survive this crime because one of the goals of this population control program is to isolate you completely from your support system as well to take a further toll on you emotionally.
Also, take it with a grain of salt that people in your community and your past friends might have been turned against you. So be the bigger person and still meet with them, but always at an arms length and disclose as little to these people as possible about your day to day life as it will be used against you in the future. Try to learn the tactics they are using against you and what information they have been told about you to mislead and discredit the community. They will not say this explicitly, but you will see the subtle signs of this once you become more aware and have been in this for a while.

Up extra early today bcz the hubs wants brioche. I did all of the baking for the week on Sunday as usual, but brioche is one of those things best made and eaten the same day. So i'm doing a braided Nutella brioche loaf for him to have w/his breakfast & then also likely w/his coffee throughout the day. D.C is causing trouble in Kosovo which they & NATO have been occupying. So Serbs are pushing back and peace there is once again threatened by D.C/NATO. Ukraine is also increasingly attacking inside Russia and Moscow w/drones. This come on the heels of a bunch of Russian neo Nazis armed by D.C & their Ukrainian proxies attacked Russian villages along the border. My inlaws are extra stressed and so I am too. I'm tired of watching the safety & lives of ppl I love endangered bcz of the sociopaths in D.C. Many of my inlaws are still in Belgrade, Some were considering going to Turkey until things there took a turn for the worst in terms of how refugees there are treated. Immigrating to other parts of Europe is hard bcz that requires the help of lawyers, lawyers require payment, and paying them is complicated by the financial war on Russia/Russian citizens.

First I would point out that I LOVE Mushoku Tensei, one the best animes i've watched.
Second regarding the Sauce (joke) , manga. I "Know" that apparently Mushoku Tensei the light novel/manga is "finished" ? I love the anime and would like to expereince the story animated, despite it probably taking 10 years to animate (best case), so I would like to know the answers to my questions without spoilers, I know its the rule of the forum but still.
SO is it finished ? I am asking because I've 'heard' that it was finished , but then other rumors that I've seen indicated on return of Mushoku Tensei manga. So to my understanding is it like a BIG story of Rudeus is finished (with a satisfying ending ?) and now another thing is coming that may be like, extremely bad example, what boruto was to naruto ? Or rather what shippuden was to naruto ?
Third, regardless of what state the novel is in right now, material for how many season is available right now and how long would it take for everything to be animated (of course taking into consideration how much the first season covered and what time period it took between season 1 and now comming season 2 (and yeah I remember the corona delay in first season, worst thing ever))
