On 1/17/86, I was arrested for possession of CDS & Paraphernalia. (Had a cellophane wrapper with a joint’s worth of weed & a bong) at the Fontana Shopping Center in Tulsa.
I was with 2 other individuals that were friends of a friend & we were in my father’s 66 Ford truck & we, like dumbasses, we’re hitting the bong in the parking lot, as a TPD cruiser rolled by.
They bailed & I got caught.
Not actually knowing them, I couldn’t even give the cops their names, nor would I rat my friend, so that didn’t go well.
However, on this truck’s driver side wing window was a decal for the Broken Arrow Police Department, as my Dad was the Reserve Police unit’s commander & answered only to the BA police chief.
So, after I’m cuffed & the goods are found, they take a great interest in the decal, so that didn’t go well either.
I had turned 18 in the fall of 85.
As the arresting officer pulled my license out of my wallet, I shit you folks not, I “willed” him to do the math on my DOB for 1985.
He did!
He said “Punkass juvenile!”
And I said “Whatever you say, bud.”
He took me downtown & he called my Old Man.
As I’m sitting in a room with the arresting officer, his sergeant, & 2 detectives, my Dad shows up wearing his badge on his belt.
He takes one look at me & said “Why the Hell are you here?!? You’re 18!”
All 4 sets of eyes go immediately to half dollar size.
Im then taken to the parking garage, where after I’m told to go up & down a flight of stairs on command, I was released, only to go face my Mom.
She literally never got out of her chair.
She only said “Where did I go wrong?”
I got sent to bed, crying like a bitch.
I later found out they gave my Dad the bong & the weed, cause they’d blown the arrest.
I found it & smoked it 6 months later.

It's time to give this woman her name back. She is known as the "Brooklyn Bridge Jane Doe" and I've also found her listed as "New York Jane Doe" but I find Brooklyn Bridge Jane Doe brings up more relevant results. Last post about her was ten months ago, so it's time to bring her case to light once again.
She passed away August 18, 2021. It's already been one year without her name, let's help get it back as soon as possible! Someone out there is still looking for a mother, daughter, aunt, significant other or best friend that's gone missing!
She had chipped hot pink nail polish on her fingers, a pink metal piercing on her left eyebrow, tattoo of the name "ARJK" or "ARIK" on her left upper arm, Tattoo of the name "KYRON" on the back of her left hand accompanied by hearts and a tattoo of a leaf (possibly cannabis) on the top of her left foot.
Her clothing is listed as black leggings and a t shirt, however in the video the leggings look pink and white to me? It's hard to tell. The shirt appears to be white with black decal, possibly angel wings.

I could barely keep my eyes open as I wrote the last document required, pressing enter, and finishing with documents I almost fell asleep behind the desk. I groaned, glancing around, as there was no other light except from my computer screen. I always felt uneasy in the dark; sometimes it went to the point where I kept the lights on all the time. I'm glad I found a therapist who helped me, now I just feel worried about it.
"Ugh..here it goes.." I sarcastically said to myself as I turned off the computer. I stood up and slowly walked out of the office as my eyes slowly adapted to the darkness. I felt scared, looking around as my brain kept trying to imagine things lurking in the dark corner of the room or around the corner, making me slow my speed and carefully peek out of the corner.
I managed to get out of our department, heading home as I felt better, out of the dark and under the streetlamp light. While walking home, I sometimes talked with myself about being scared of the dark in the office but not on the street, even when the streetlamps were not emitting light. I always blamed my brain, which I thought was responsible for this fear. As I returned home, I quickly opened the door, changed clothes, and got in bed, falling asleep quickly.

I slowly woke up, rubbing my eyes. It took a little bit of time for me to realise that I probably overslept my alarm, so I took my phone and checked the time. As I looked at the time, I panicked, quickly getting out of bed and rushing to the shower. I took a shower as quickly as I could, almost falling down due to the slippery floor and wet legs. I dried myself with a towel as I rushed back to the bedroom, putting on clothes, putting my phone in my pocket, walking out of the house, and locking the door. I quickly walk towards the department.
"Hey Nula, you're late; did something happen?" I heard as I approached the department door. I looked at the soundmaker; it was Eni, a Venlil, who was a bit higher than me. I knew him since I enlisted as a police officer here. In the past, when I joined the police, he was making fun of me or my colleagues. At least, he stopped doing it after receiving several warnings from the chief.
"I just overworked; the last document kept me till it was late." I slowly replied. I continued my walk and walked inside the department, I looked at the coffee machine and walked to it. I took some time to make myself a coffee. I took a cup of it. I stood here for some time, waiting for it to cool down. I quickly drank the coffee and walked to the armoury. I put my ID card in an ID lock, opened the door, and walked in.
"Good morning, Linz." I said and approached his counter. "I’d like to get my weapon and armour, please." Krakotl looked at me as he stood up from his chair. He walked to the armour stand and took it, walking to the counter and putting it on it. Then he walked to the weapon stand, took the pistol and 4 magazines, and returned to the counter and put them on it. He took a register book and filled in the field of issued equipment and gave it to me.
"Like usual, sign your name, your surname and write the date and time of receiving ammunition." He sat back in a chair, putting his arms behind his head. I slowly filled up my name and wrote the date with time. I took a vest and put it on; I took a pistol and, following the rules of using a firearm, I loaded it and put it on a safe; other magazines I put in my vest, which had special pouches for storing magazines, and I walked out of the armoury.
I walked to my best friend, Eil, Venlil. I stood next to him and looked at him as he was looking at TV; I looked at it too. I saw a Krakotl. More precisely, that was Nilen Yil, a businessman, and how he’s running a company to get elected as mayor. He was sitting on a chair with a business suit on; the camera zoomed in on him. It was a debate that usually starts at 9 a.m., but today it started earlier.
"Sir, what would you do if you were elected mayor of our town?" A Godjid woman reporter asked him.
"Oh, well, if I were elected mayor of our town, my top priority would be to work towards improving the overall quality of life for all residents. This would involve a number of initiatives, such as enhancing public safety. We need to keep criminality at a minimum rate, thus I will increase police funding, improve access to quality education and healthcare, support small businesses, promote sustainable development, and invest in infrastructure and transportation." He paused a bit, slightly coughed, and thought of what to say next.
"Our city has a corruption problem, you see. Police officers are being bribed, closing their eyes to crimes done by criminals and mafia. Some of them steal, take the tax payers money as their own, and use it as they like. They make pacts with criminal syndicates and organisations, which is highly against the law and the people of our city. Ultimately, eliminating corruption is essential for building a fair, just, and equitable society. By taking strong action to root out corruption and promote transparency, we can create a government that truly serves the needs and aspirations of all residents." The people cheered as he looked at his opponent.
“What about the drug problem in our city?” She asked him another question.
"Turn it off. Enough of this political mess. We have work to do." I heard from behind as the TV got turned off. Turning around, I saw our captain, Alin. "We got a call from a woman, 111 dispatch. She said that she saw something strange," he said sarcastically. "Anyway, take a car and check on what it’s about. It’s on the outskirts of the city. Here is the full report." He gave Eil a paper with written text on it and walked away.
"Alright, Nula, let’s go." Eil said, slightly bumping my shoulder; he walked to the garage as I followed him, and we both sat in the car, driving to the point of interest. We drove through the city, and it felt alive. Seeing people on the streets and green parks around sometimes makes me feel happy. Seeing all those trees, beautiful nature, people who talk with each other, some of them doing morning exercises, sometimes it’s hard to believe what you see with your eyes. Arriving at the said location and finding nothing interesting except the old abandoned house.
"Well, in the report, it says that she saw several people walk inside this house." He pointed to the abandoned house." Probably some teenagers with drugs or just anarchists who are jerks." He properly parked the car and walked out, approaching the house. I followed him as we approached the house.
"House has two floors; I sweep the first and you check the second." He walked inside the house and turned left. I walked in, looking for a staircase. I quickly found it and walked upstairs, looking at the hall and doors. I walked to the first door on the right and tried to open it, but it was closed. I moved to the next door, but it was closed too. I sighed and walked to the last door. The door was ajar; I opened it and saw a regular room; there was nothing unusual except the writings on the walls, which were various graffiti-like paintings.
"Hey Nula! I guess I found something!" I heard a loud Eil voice coming from downstairs, and I quickly walked to him, spotting him standing near an opened hatch.
"That’s just a regular hatch for the basement; what exactly did you find?" I asked him, looking at him with a confused face.
"Come on down, sweetie, I'll show you what I found." He climbed down into the basement, turning on his flashlight. I followed him too, turning on my flashlight. He led me to a hole in the wall. I heard something from a distance in that hole. The hole looked wide and large, enough for both of us to get inside the hole and walk crouching.
"This looks very strange; do you hear what I hear?" I said to him, and he quickly nodded as he crouched and got into a hole, flashing his way. I quickly followed him. We walked through a tunnel. We approached a tunnel exit; the exit was a bit high, so we slowly got down as we heard voices and strange noises. We turned off flashlights and turned on body cameras as we walked towards the sound.
As we approached the sound, we saw a light. Quickly coming to it, we stood next to a hole. I peeked in it and saw people of various races. Some of them wore hazmat suits as they were making some packages. There were two Arxurs. They looked strange, excessively drooling, and feral-like. They were guarding a Krakotl. There were a few guards with weapons.
"Something is off; take a look at this." I stepped left and let him look. He looked for a bit of time as he stepped back, looking confused and slightly scared. I slightly pushed him a bit.
"We... we need to report to headquarters." His voice sounded terrified and shocked as he breathed deeply. I looked at him, then back at the hole, scanning the area for a way to get to that bird.
"I have a plan; we need to shut it down and get to this bird, then we can figure out where they do with those... things." Follow me," I said, and I got through the hole, standing on a floor. I looked back as he followed me. I looked for a staircase, quickly walking to it and getting down to where they were. I spotted a guard carefully approaching him from behind and knocking him out, carefully placing him down on the floor. I searched him for an ID card; finding it, I took it and put it in my vest pocket.
I carefully peeked out, looking around, then quickly and quietly walked to the next cover; the Krakotl wasn’t here, either, as were the Arxurs. I waited for Eli, then we approached the door. I used my ID to unlock it, and we walked inside. There was a long hallway. We walked down the hallway, eventually coming to a guarded door. Guarding Arxurs spotted us. I pulled out the pistol and aimed at one Arxur. He charged at me, jumping from side to side, and as he approached closer and lunged, I quickly aimed at his head and shot him. His body flew at me and knocked me to the ground with its weight.
I put my pistol on the floor and tried to push the Arxur off. I saw how another Arxur lunged at me, getting Eli and knocking him off; he fell on the ground and rolled left, avoiding the Arxurs attacks. I picked up a pistol and shot Arxur in the leg and body. The Predator turned and roared at me as I shot him in the head, killing him.
"Dammit, Eli, help me get this thing off." I said that and put the pistol back on the floor. Eli quickly stood up and walked to me, helping to get the body off of me. I stood up, picked up the pistol, and quickly approached the door.
"On three… One….two….three!" Eli kicked the door off as I aimed at Krakotl in the chair.
"Venexus Police Department! Put your hands in the air!" I yelled at him as Krakotl jumped out of his chair out of surprise, Eli rushed to him, took him by the shoulder, and pushed him to the ground as Krakotl yelled.
"You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to have an attorney present during questioning. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you. Do you understand these rights?" He yelled at Krakotl keeping him tight.
"Do you know who you are touching?! Haha, you don’t even have a fucking evidence!" He struggled in Eli’s grip.
"We have enough evidence of you using those predators as your bodyguards." I said and nodded to Eli. I turned off my bodycam, and Eli did the same as he pulled out the pistol and put it on Krakotl's head.

Taking Krakotl and putting him in the chair, he searched the desk drawer, finding the tape. He used the tape to tie him to a chair. He searched other drawers and found the same package that we saw earlier. He slammed it on the desk as the bird looked slightly scared.
"Let’s then commit a test of this thing; we’d like to make sure that this product is safe for the consumers." He pulled out a knife and cut the package slightly, opening it as the white powder spilled out of it. He took some of it in hand and grabbed Krakotl by his beak.
"Thank you, sir, for volunteering for our test! Now, would you like to open your mouth wide?" He forcefully opened and held his beak as he got his hand with powder closer to his mouth. Krakotl struggled and tried to move his mouth away, slightly screaming. He was struggling and screaming loudly as Eli held powder very closely to him. Then he released him and put powder on a table. Cleaning his hands with a tissue. Krakotl coughed, breathing fast and deeply, then looked at me and then at Eli.
"Don't put this thing in my mouth! I’ll tell you everything; please just don’t do it!" He looked scared; perhaps he knows what this does. Eli came and took him, putting him back on the floor. I turned on my body cam.
"Since you decided to tell us everything, sir, I would like you to talk loudly and properly." Eli said, turning on his body cam too.
"I…I w-work for the criminal organisation…t-three beaks. T-the things we pack in packages are a special mix of drugs and stimulants. They’re dangerous and supposed to be used on predator species like Arxurs to... use them as pets and train them to obey commands. We also p-pack other drugs in packages."

"That’s good. I’d like to ask if you have papers that can be used as evidence against the people you said?" I said, slightly tilting my head.
"They're in the safe; the combination is 5063... ev-everything is here. S-safe is in the wall and behind the painting." I walked to a painting and put it down, finding the safe and unlocking it. There was a golden gun and a bunch of papers and other stuff, including money. I took the papers and put them on the clean side of the desk. I pulled out my phone and took photos of the papers. Also recording them on body cam.
“I guess we’re finished here.” I said looking at Eli. He took the radio and turned it on.
"Dispatch, this is unit 1-C23; we have code 33-CO, species Krakotl, alongside code 25 and code 101-L, including code P-2. We’d like to request reinforcements to arrest other people here. Do you copy?"
"C-copy… sending 4 patrols to your location." The dispatch voice was shocked and surprised.

"PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR HEAD AND GET ON THE GROUND NOW!" The SOAT member on the left said. We approached them; some of them were on the ground, and some were kneeling with hands behind their heads. Our medic approached the injured criminal, healing his gunshot injury. I took handcuffs and started to put them on criminals, with other SOAT members handcuffing them too.
"SIB, you’re under arrest for violating the law articles, 632, 342, 543, and many other laws." Yotul said, standing in front of them.
"We have people in your fucking government; you won’t do anything to us!"

I am a small dealer trying to figure out the legality of this transfer. I have a semi-auto rifle on transfer for some one and I submitted a form to their local address, which was the Moses Lake PD. I sent it to their police chief who apparently ignored it. It has now been two weeks, and I just called their records person and they have no records of it.RCW
9.41.092 is confusing to me, as it states that either 10 days after the date of the "purchase application" or 10 days since a background check is initiated for a transfer. This seems to indicate to me that the 10 day waiting period is actually however long the PD feels like waiting to start the background check? What the hell is a purchase application?It is all incredibly vague and obnoxious, of course.
Any dealers that can comment on what I should put on the 4473? Never had to use a brady transfer date or anything.

A trio of bills aimed at curbing gun violence received the endorsement of the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday, a giant victory for supporters of gun safety measures who have seen similar proposals languish for years under Republican control of the Senate.
The sponsor of the bills, Senate Judiciary Chair Ron Latz, DFL-St. Louis Park, said he doesn't expect to consider any additional gun bills this session. The question now becomes whether these three bills can pass the Senate, where Democrats have a narrow 34-33 advantage.
"Everyone's going to make their own judgment call on it," Latz said. "We have lots of new senators evaluating a lot of things for the first time."
In a hearing that stretched more than five hours, the committee heard from more than 30 members of the public, crime victims and law enforcement, most of whom supported the bills.
A few opponents testified that the measures attempt to incrementally impinge on their Second Amendment rights and inconvenience them. One opponent sharply threatened electoral retaliation against senators who voted for the bills, and received multiple rebukes.
Latz opened his comments by saying: "Gun violence is an epidemic in our society."
He talked about people living in fear, and how more Minnesotans die by suicide using guns than they do from homicides involving guns. The three bills would help the state "step up to the plate a little bit more and prevent firearms tragedies," he said.
The first bill, which the panel endorsed and sent to the Finance Committee on a 6-4 party-line vote, would close a loophole in the law by expanding criminal background checks for pistols and semiautomatic military-style assault weapons sold at shows, online or transferred. Latz noted that the bill wouldn't apply to hunting rifles.
The least controversial bill would increase penalties to 20 years for owning or possessing a machine gun, trigger activator or a conversion kit to make a gun automatic. That bill passed on a voice vote as, did a red flag bill aimed at keeping firearms away from those who are a danger to themselves or others.
House committees have endorsed the background check and red flag bills, but haven't yet acted on the machine gun bill.
Some of the most emotional testimony came from crime victims — including Melissa Kennedy, a physician assistant at the Allina Health Buffalo Crossroads Clinic where
Gregory Ulrich shot five people, killing
Lindsay Overbay, in February 2021.
"We knew [Ulrich] was dangerous," Kennedy said. "But Minnesota did not have a law to protect its citizens from people in crisis."
Roseville pastor Rolf Olson urged passage of gun safety measures, saying that his daughter Katherine, 24, was shot in the back by a .357 Magnum in 2007 when she answered a Craigslist ad for a babysitter at a house in Shakopee. He told committee members to "consider my daughter who was permanently inconvenienced by being put in a grave."
Under the first bill, those who seek to buy or transfer pistols and semiautomatic assault weapons would be required to seek a permit from law enforcement, which would have 30 days to conduct a background check. The permit could be denied for those who have domestic violence or drug-related convictions, are in a gang database or deemed a danger to themselves or others.
Latz said the bill would close a loophole that allows 40% of such firearms to be sold through gun shows, online or transferred to neighbors and friends without background checks.
Officials with the Minnesota County Attorneys Association, the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association and the Minnesota Sheriffs' Association all spoke for the bill. So did Public Safety Commissioner Bob Jacobson, who called it a "common sense" law that's already in place in 21 states.
Ramsey County Attorney John Choi also urged passage, saying it's a critical loophole to close. "We've had this conversation for way too long," he said.
A National Rifle Association lobbyist opposed the bills as did Ben Dorr, director of Minnesota Gun Rights, an advocacy group based in Northfield. He called the bill "an absolute sham" and the hearing a "dog-and-pony show."
Dorr listed a series of mass shootings where the shooters involved had passed background checks before obtaining their firearms, and pledged to bring the "full political fury" of gun supporters on senators in the next election.
Sen. Sandy Pappas, DFL-St. Paul, interrupted Dorr, calling his threat "totally inappropriate."
The bill requires those who are party to a firearms transfer to keep their paperwork for 10 years. Failure to do so would be a misdemeanor.
Sen. Warren Limmer, R-Maple Grove, voted against the bill and said "the federal government doesn't even require us to keep our tax records 10 years." He said the bill focuses "a lot of regulation on a broad law-abiding population."
Sen. Jeff Howe, R-Rockville, argued against the bills, noting that he was a "trained sniper." He asked Latz whether he had ever hunted fox, coyote or "anything at all?" Latz said he went duck hunting with friends once as a child.
Howe told Latz the bill "looks to me to make those of us obeying the law, criminals."
On the red flag bill, Latz said it would create two pathways for getting a gun away from a dangerous person — through filing a petition with law enforcement or requesting an emergency hearing in front of a judge. No such option currently exists.
Rob Doar, vice president and lobbyist for the Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus, said the key to passage of the bill will be two freshmen DFL senators from northern Minnesota, Grant Hauschild of Hermantown and Rob Kupec of Moorhead.
"They certainly have the momentum," Doar said of the bills' advocates. "But we've got a lot of members in these key districts where the senators haven't taken a position."
Doar said he was pleased the Senate panel had not taken up four other bills that have been proposed and were of major concern to his members. Those bills would enhance firearm storage requirements, increase the age for military-style rifles to 21, require reporting of stolen firearms and limit the size of magazines.

Two weeks ago I(27m) along with two other friends did our annual week-long trip to our mutual friend Alex's cottage. For years one of our longest-running jokes was that I should bring my 46ft saltwater fishing boat to the lake. This year after looking up the lake's policies we decided to make it a reality. To make this happen we all split the costs of both the permit and the marina fees.
The first four days of fishing/boating went very well however the same couldn't be said for the fifth. The issues started over some fishing we did in the same bay as Alex's cottage. After using my fish finder we found a prime spot on the other side of it. Roughly an hour into us being there a woman(20-30s) we didn't know kayaked across the bay to us. When she got she asked to speak to the owner of the boat. When I introduced myself to her she started going off about how the boat isn't allowed on the lake. My response to her was to point at the lake permit in the windscreen before asking her to leave and not disturb us anymore.
This made her furious and she started cussing and screaming at us. For safety reasons Alex started recording her in case she did anything stupid. This only made things worse as she started trying to pull up our fishing and anchor lines. In doing this she wound up breaking my 3,000-dollar rod. This was when her demeanor did a 180 and she began to plead with us to not call the police. As collateral, she offered to not only replace it but pay for next year's permit. I rejected the offer and used my VHF to call for police assistance right in front of her. The result of this was her getting fined for angler harassment and arrested for felony destruction of property.
Two days after all of this happened, Alex and his parents found themselves being visited by the woman's mother. From what he told me, she started going off on them and saying we are assholes for getting her daughter arrested. She believes we should have accepted her apologies and offers to replace it. Looking back I am conflicted as what I did could be considered vengeful as she did legitimately offer to make amends.
Am I the asshole for getting her arrested?
