Kind of torn on this subject. Been seeking advancement from my position both inside and out of the company to move up from my Account Management and Sales position towards leadership and operational/marketing management. This was going to be the year i was really going to make my transition up but due to COVID everything was put on hold.
During this time the company enacted a new Sales initiative and structured a new department that i personally think is a huge mistake and counter to the direction we should be going. Without getting into to much detail, its an attempt to moves sales and service from the kind of personal consultative and value sales and customer oriented account management towards more cost effective inside sales driving more over the phone, and retail sales strategy with less focus on direct account management. And if that sounds obscure and confusion, its because I barely understand the overall vision behind this new move. I've raised my concerns with my management, but fall short of straight up badmouthing it and calling it stupid, and just tried to distance myself away from it as much as possible.
However, they just told me about a operational management role leading a region for this new sales strategy, leading a team, implementing and executing the changes. The VP knew i was looking for advancement and suggested i would be a great candidate, not knowing my complete lack of confidence. It's definitely the role and title i want, and how I want to advance my professional trajectory, and getting me to build my leadership and management experience, but its with a department leading a strategy that i have no confidence in, with a management team that i also have no confidence in, trying to execute a vision i'm not sure they even know what it ultimately looks like.
i could suck it up, take the role for the credit, the title and pay raise, and get out of my current role which I've also grown tired of. However, i feel like no matter how well I do the job and how successful I am at it, the whole thing is just doomed to fail.
Would love some people's experiences on this. Anyone ever take a promotion doing something they don't agree with? Did it work out? Any and all guidance is appreciated

Hi,
I have a long complicated story for the past three years but to put it simply I am suffering from fatigue and other issues.
I train a lot - 10 hours plus a week but when I wake in the morning can barely get out of bed and all day have this brain fog, fatigue etc. So I went through the system and eventually after two years diagnosed with mild sleep apnea.
However here int he UK for NHS treatment I fell just below the necessary level for CRAP machines etc so left in this non mans land.
Take today woke up at 5.15 to cycle to work and yet felt so 'punch drunk' I could not, luckily can work from home but as I type this could go back to bed easily. If I could post an image here you can see nominally slept for 8 and half hours in the end but feels like 4 hours.
I have no idea how I can change this, my wife often kicks me out of bed not because of snoring but because I make these choking like noises.
this has only happened over the past 3 years (now 51) and before I used to be able to sleep for 6 hours only and felt fighting fit. I did have a bad snoring issue 20 years ago but that was sorted out with a septoplasty.
Interesting though that my daughter had her anenoids and tonsils out at three and I feel I have a genetic problem there but my consultant said because readings were only mild would do nothing.
I feel desperate at this as struggle to concentrate, heightens my depression which I have had diagnosed for 30 years and see no way out.
Anyone got any advice for me ? I am trying to badger my GP but the test was kind of pathetic one day with a monitoring device, thats it.

Hello, hope you are having a great day, I am Sal 41 Male who work in 3D art and game dev, despite my age and work, I am just another lonely guy who is looking for companionship, I have been spending a lot of time on my computer working and having fun, so I started getting worried that I am in a relationship with this computer haha. I am kinda silly and quirky most of the time trying to make jokes that don't always land haha, so I hope you don't mind that, but I can talk about serious topics as well and be supportive and kind. I have always been found of having someone online that to share my day with and talk about our problems daily lives and share our happy moments, so I had a lot of online friendships some lasts days .. months.. Or 20 years haha, yeah I am talking about you Allison. About my hobbies and interests, usually nerdy stuff like coding, 3D art, making animation, watching anime, used to play a lot of games but not much anymore. Plus some walking outside, I live in a beautiful small city called Istanbul that has nice places to walk near the sea and make friendship with lots of cats on the street. I know that I may not click with many people, it is a matter of chemistry and energy, I don't often click with the people who just keep using short answers in their chat and never ask anything and keep making me carry the conversation alone, I have pet peeve with very short replies and just emojis without words hahaha. I have been thinkin about this today and it does make sense to me even tho i havnt always theory crafted more dark chaotic storylines in my head.
So the elder dragons were needed for tyria in the past and Im assuming even tho we have tagged alone making the world safe again we will eventually either

1. see more of the land than even in the gw1 game.
2. see new lands through the mists or whatever other places they want.

We have to many allies for me to count or think about at this point in the game and if non are killed off in the future, we have seen that we slowly sort of separate into our own issues over time at this point and each gets their own sort of story and point of view. Our dragon buddy has been tagging along with us for a while but its possible with new areas to explore the commander would want or need someone capable of defending the land while they are gone, along with the you know built in filtration unit she provides.
Does this open the door for us to shift the focus back on our individual characters and with the party members we have starting to divide up over the last expansions open up individual future expansion paths in which we can explore with 1 or 2 of our friends instead of big parties. [ i would like to see a death ending for one however].
For example. BraHam from what i recall had a father from the....... west. . i am a bit fuzzy, sun isles or something.
Rama has kurz blood and the kurz and lux came from the south i believe through cantha.
Im sure the asura will move farther up or farther underground at some point,
We also have all the northern land and eastern land around the norn and charr areas.
Not to mention the mists and the Gods to explore at some point which would completely remove us from the region and we, i assume. wont be leaving tyria unprotected and non of the forces or heros currently in the game have managed so far without us unless it stays super peaceful.
