Hi. I'm very new here, so forgive me if I navigate into murky waters or cause a wake in a no wake zone. I think I'm gray ace, pretty sure, but I'm still in uncharted territory, and I'm learning every day. This will be a long post, I just want to offer my own evolving journey.
I've been in the only relationship I've ever had since we were 19 for 35 years now. I was a virgin and very pretty, so he was attracted to me. I found him cute, but I didn't really have a type. I spent a quarter of a century fighting my asexuality because I thought it was my defect to fix, and i new nothing about being asexual or even what it was--and I suffered emotionally, physically, and mentally because of it (so did my husband). He was a very sexual being, even made me swear to God to never take or withhold sex from him. He needed it and couldn't be without it.
So I did my duty but never sought it out. I faked it for him. I was never adventurous in the bedroom. I even had a kid, which I've always wanted, and he is our light and joy, a wonderful person we are both proud of. Still, there was always tension because he always wanted more (how many fights did we have about what was a normal amount--he insisted 3 times a day), and of course I didn't need that at all.
For 25 years, I did my best to appease that, going to my happy place during those moments and yes--I did have very normal physical reactions to the act some of the time. I preferred it when I did because I didn't feel like was lying to him about my real (non)feelings about sex.
Then I got breast cancer in my late 30's. It was caught very early, but still--I had 6 surgeries in total, including a hysterectomy. What surviving cancer did to me, my body and mind, and my marriage nearly ended all the above. I got heavier and if I didn't fancy sex before, I sure didn't after that. Both of us became resentful of the other over sex. I was becoming less tolerant of any sexual thing at all.
After 5 years of that seething hostility, I moved out of our room into my own. He became distant and obstinate. But underneath it all he didn't cheat (that I know of to this day) and I didn't leave, but our marriage was pretty much dead and we became roommates with a 10 year old kid.
It all came to a head one weekend in a marathon 2 hour fight. I'll spare you the ugly details, but will say that it never got physical. He said awful things about how he was no longer attracted to me and his final shot was that promise he made me swear about never taking sex away from him. I let him rage for an hour, I was sobbing and broken, and when he couldn't find another awful thing to say I asked if it was my turn. And he agreed to listen and not interrupt me, as I'd given him that courtesy to begin with.
And with that, I unloaded. That promise? We were teenagers who new nothing about real relationships or life! And I have him a news flash--I never liked sex. I faked it to Oscar worthy levels. I never saw him that way, even told him that for years, and I was the one who had to do what I didn't want to do all our marriage and he didn't even seem to care. It was my biggest effort for him, all for him, and he treated it like he was entitled to it. Why?? Money? We both work for our existence. He could have anybody? Well so could I. If he wanted to go so badly, then go. But I wasn't uprooting my or my kid's or our pets life because his penis felt neglected. That was my hour.
Five years after that fight and we're still together. It's been rough, it's not perfect, but the healing has been steady. He's come to grips with the reality of ME, and there's still love there in both our parts. It's just not physical anymore and never will be like that again.
For me, there's so much regret. I wish I knew what I was all my life. I wish I'd told him the truth from the beginning, but I didn't even understand that truth when I was 19 and worried I'd die a spinster. Had I known, would I have lived out my dreams that I gave up for a domestic lie? I have forgiven him for many things, but they still haunt me. I still have my own room and it's my haven, my nest. We have tender moments, and fight a lot less, but I still hold a bitter ember for the things he did and did. He's a good man who fell in love with the love of his life and she didn't want anything from him but to grow old with him. That should be a romcom bit in real life, it's far from it. Yet, here we are.
I'm on my new journey to grow myself in a very different world now, one that more and more people are navigating. It's so scary, yet it's freeing to finally have a name for all the feeling I never had. Sometimes I find myself wondering what "normal" is really like, but that's fading away more and more. But I know one important thing:
I don't need to be fixed anymore.

I've got Autism as stated before,Depression tho I'm medicated, I've got anxiety and social anxiety, pretty sure got adhd, still getting diagnosis at my shrink. That about it there. I'm also a Pisces if you are interested.
Games and other people: I'm pretty much interested in anything that's not a MMO,MOBA,or games like cod. Love zombies tho. Few games are Minecraft,Terraria,Rounds, Horror games,and I can't think of much else rn but I've got like 130 games or something. I also have a server that I play with my family members with. I've got my sister,brother in law and brother in the server as well as a few friends I chat with sometimes.

Hi! Are you able to use AI-generated images for indie games that generate profit (Steam, iOS, Android) in the EU and the US? Does it make any difference which business model it is (paid, free with in-app purchases, or free with ads)?
I have programmed a simple isometric game and wrote the dialogues as a side hustle, using AI-generated images for characters, portraits and backgrounds. If I understand correctly, game developers are allowed to use AI-generated assets as long as they don't violate the service's license requirements and local laws. And the worst outcome would be the game's page being taken down on a platform if someone complains that the AI copied their work.
Just to explain this further, it is highly unlikely for this situation to occur in my game because I have an extensive background story in the game's universe, thanks to my prior writing experience. I also have invested a lot of effort into developing detailed characters. The ~80-word prompts I am using for Midjourney (a paid subscription plan, available for commercial use) combined with Stable Diffusion for upscaling and corrections make it nearly impossible to unintentionally replicate someone's work.
That being said, as far as I know, using AI-generated content is not prohibited. However, I am not a citizen of the US/EU and I don't follow all the news, so I might be missing something. This is how I see it:

1. Artists are not happy that their works have been used to train algorithms. However, when artists themselves use reference images, they don't pay the artists who inspired them too. So it's more like developers have just automated an existing process.
2. Artists can't prove that their works have been stolen because the AI outputs are not identical. And the most questionable use case is mentioning someone's style in a prompt ("draw in a John Doe's style").
3. Lawmakers might require developers to obtain a license, which could be challenging for small companies but unlikely to stop big players like OpenAI and Midjourney.

P.S. I would like to hire an actual artist once I have scalable and profitable projects because I have very specific needs. Obviously it's better to outsource the whole batch than spend 5-6 hours on each image myself.
Right now, I have zero evidence of demand for my projects, so investing a significant amount of money in someone mechanically replicating what I have already almost completed with the help of AI seems unreasonable.

I started a thread about 10 minutes ago asking if you support trans women competing in women's sports and if you are proud of your peers for their success.
So basically, all the replies so far are either attacks on me or claiming these athletes do not exist.

Here are some tips that will make your dashing life easier:

• you should cherry pick if you don’t need top dasher. Cherry picking is a preferred strategy.

Hi everyone, This is my first post ever on Reddit, but I just wanted to share it because I think it may help someone out here who might be in the same boat as me.
I have been dealing with a combination of psoriasis and eczema since the beginning of the year. I've had eczema before, but it was a long, long time ago (in high school days), and even then, it was never on my face.
This eczema and psoriasis attack was an absolute nightmare. It was unbearably itchy and painful, and I felt like my face was slowly rotting away as it worsened every subsequent day. There were many nights where I could not sleep at all because of the pain and itchiness. Yellow pus formed and pulsated at the really bad spots, and my skin was peeling off like a snake shedding like there was no tomorrow. It was so bad that I never took off my mask in public, hiding in corners to eat or drink because I was afraid I would scare people (which I did for those that peeked). Some days I could not help but scream in pain during class (I'm a history teacher) because it was so painful. Doctors prescribed me antibiotics and hypercortisone, but those things (from my experience) made things 100 times worse.
It took a very bad toll on my mental state, and I felt absolutely helpless. My loved ones around me felt helpless as well.
But through it all, I still had hope that I could get better. I may not be a very positive person (I try, but I'm not exactly wired that way), but I am an optimist by choice (I choose to believe that things will be better). It might not be okay now, but it WILL get better.
So I spent a lot of time researching and lurking in forums with the absolute belief that I could find a way to cure this condition once and for all. I've made a lot of trials and errors to find what works for me.
Fast forward to today, and I am mostly healed.
Here are things that I want to share that helped (and may help you too):
-Identify the stresses in your life and eliminate them. Stress can really make your auto-immune system go whack. Dealing with this made me realize that a lot of stuff that we subject ourselves to is just not worth it. Life's too short, and you have permission to cut out all of that crap if it helps you get better. You need to get better first!
-Diet: Vitamin D supplements were a game changer for me. I also took probiotics and ate a substantial amount of coconut, lemon, ginger, garlic, etc. All of these helped heal the gut.
-Be kind to yourself and your body. It may be frustrating to see your condition getting worse day by day, but understand that your body is doing its best to help you get better. It might even get worse before it gets better, but know that your body is fighting for YOU. And the best thing you can do is be kind to it and yourself!

My last two tables of the night were a 4 top and then a solo diner. In a separate area of the restaurant so they were pretty much the only people in there besides some people trickling our as they ate, as it was around closing time. The four top asks to pay for the lady by herself. When I told her her meal was all paid for she got tears up in her eyes, her voice was a little shaky she was so thankful and happy and surprised. I told her it was a lucky day for her and to have a great rest of her night! A few minutes after, she was walking out and said she had to tell me. Her husband recently passed away from cancer and she had just gone out to his grave and then stopped for dinner afterwards. So it was a really hard day. Got goosebumps instantly and told her I believe it was her husband making sure she was still taken care of even though he’s not here anymore. She said she really thought so too and to tell whoever it was thank you. After she left I asked the table why they did that and they just said they saw her and had a feeling to do it. I told them what she said and they were shocked and touched by it all too.
Anyways it was such a special feeling tonight I wanted to share. I’ve been serving tables for 8 years now and this was my favorite experience I’ll remember for a long time. I also wanted to share to remind everyone to always follow your gut. Because it’s leading you somewhere whether you know the reason at the moment or not. It might just completely make someone’s day, or change your own life.
