my friend who I was dating but went to just saying friends today had this happen in a way where it led to me asking if she was aromantic based off what she was describing. she said no before immediately thinking for a moment and saying maybe. (I don’t know if she is on the spectrum of it, but that is for her to discover for herself and this is for me).
The response then led to me proceeding to realize if I was a-spec too despite having developed romantic feelings. but in wondering about me being demiromantic kind of way, or anything that sounds like it. if it is an a-spec thing. I feel heartbroken still, but understand. But it is the situation entering the relationship that makes me question being demi.
starting with the whole fact of going “yeah, I get it” when she told me when we first started finding the lines to different types of attraction to her (platonic, romantic, sexual) blurry.
i had asked confusion about platonic vs romantic attraction for a while, but I think what ultimately was what was confusing me was romantic interest vs romantic attraction. if that is a thing.
I never had a legitimate relationship except for a girl that I dated for 1 month who made me quickly regret it (she was being uncomfortable with the dynamics right away) and we broke up in less than that month. I figured that, though, was obvious as to why I was not upset. I wanted out immediately. It was ultimately because I was coming to terms with being a nonbinary trans guy and she was only into women, and tried to say i was the “woman” in the relationship. So… oof.
so regardless of all this, I know I am bisexual. but I think this was the point of confusion, and I want to clarify as much as could be if this is a 100% allo experience or, well, not
Looking back, I guess what ultimately was a huge question was if alloromantic people, if experiencing true romantic attraction, would be genuinely upset by a relationship starting being rejected.
Because, now I am thinking about it, is stuff that might be why I might have gotten confused by the last person where, when I asked him out, he delayed his answer after saying he would think about it. When he told me why he put it off, it was was worried about telling me no because of my birthday coming up and thinking I would be hurt by his rejection. Thus ruining my birthday.
I did not even think about that idea. I told him I would not have been, got kinda confused and frustrated why he put it off because of that, but also I did not understand why I would be that distressed.
it was not until being in an actual active relationship recently (both in early to mid twenties) did I really get the feeling of romantic attraction compared to platonic attraction.
Because now I realized it was because, when I told my friend that, that it was situations of rejections like these where people do feel distraught by no reciprocated desire. Which does ruin friendships.
Almost everyone I asked out in the past were friends. And in general, it would come with “I want to pursue a relationship with this person”. And it could be in my head for a while. This, I viewed was romantic attraction. Despite still feeling on a level confused by platonic vs romantic until this relationship.
As when I asked, and they said no, it was just a casual “oh, dang. alright”. And I never felt distressed by it. I never came in feeling what I did after being in an actual relationship.
No matter what, I guess it was always like giving an attractive stranger your number if they wanted to call you when in a coffee shop or bar or something. Even if, technically, people would expect that if they were a friend for a while and you wanted to become romantic then it would feel more personal.
Is this what being demi is? Is it why people would expect a rejection in a friendship to ruin it, but I just move on? Was this just romantic interest and was why I was not distraught by rejection? Ehy the difference between platonic vs romantic love stumped me sometimes still?
Did I separate it from platonic too much where there was still a reference point? Like conflating wanting to be friends and then actually being friends? I am not going into love ar first sight thing some people say because not even a lot of allos believe in it.

The black bears are getting quite bold at the cottage, and I'd like to have a 12ga loaded with Brenneke Black Magic Magnum 3" slugs.
Ernest Landon says the gas system of the 1301 is more forgiving at the extreme ends of the load spectrum than the more traditional mechanism in the A300. I know most people who carry a shotgun in bear country carry an 870 or 590, and they're incredibly reliable (and much cheaper and readily available), but being able to get 3-4 shots on target at a charging bear vs 1-2 and flubbing a pump in the most terrifying situation ever makes me think a Beretta semi auto is the way to go IF they can reliably cycle the slugs I'd like to run. Thoughts? Comments? Scathing rebuttal?

2023.05.29 23:44 scott26038 Wife struggling to eat. Doing best I can. Does it get better?
Basically the title... my (50M) wife (50F) was re-diagnosed in 2019 after 15 years of remission from Breast Cancer. It's in all her bones now but from the elbows down and knees down. We go to a great hospital here in NC and they are really doing well by her. She has recently struggled with eating. Thank God she likes Ensure shakes. We have tried the entire spectrum of foods/shakes/etc... Its more a volume thing she can't handle vs taste. I always try to give her the most bang for her "bite" as I can. We have appointments at the hospital tomorrow where I am suspecting a larger amount of weight loss compared with earlier visits. My question, does anyone have any experience with eating getting better over time or, is this the new normal? I'm trying to understand what expectations I should have for her.

I have been painting for about 20 years now, using mostly GW, P3, Vallejo, etc. This has been fine except for the normal problems that come up with these sets: colours aren't always consistent, lines go out of production, and you can't always find the exact colour you always want.
So recently I have gotten into limited palette and colour theory, and I want to get a set of decent primaries to start my journey into colour mixing.
Looking at available options for pigments, I'm confused by how dark they are in comparison to the primaries. (I'm not confusing additive and subtractive either). For instance, Liquitex Gouache and Kimera Kolors both use Quinacridone Magenta PR122, and PR114 respectively which is roughly 9A114F, whereas the defined HSV of subtractive magenta is FF0090. If magenta is a bad example because of the awkwardness of the light spectrum, then Phthalo blue from Kimera is PB15.2, 000F89 vs. the defined value of 00B7EB.
Now I get that nature doesn't always comply with our desires, and this is why synthetic pigments exist. But if we are making things to fit our ideals, shouldn't more colour sets use flourescents/neons instead of the commonly used quinacridone magenta, and phthalo blue/green? And why do companies stop listing pigments when they do have flourescent/neon options? I feel like there is some pigment/paint industry knowledge here that I lack, and I just can't find anything online. Is it just the reaction to ultraviolet light? Or is it just economics?

Hello hello. I hope you enjoy this short introduction of myself.
Some have asked why I've come here to seek this, and really, why are any of us here? We're searching for something that we can't find elsewhere so we've decided to give this a shot.
I've tried other sites without luck and dating is difficult in my area. By that I mean everyone is super country, as in enjoying fishing and listening to country music while complaining about liberals. Or, to phrase it another way - guns, God and Trump. That's a hard pass for me, so this seems like the next step.
A couple of things before I start:
Distance isn't an issue for me. I'm hoping to meet someone and chat to see where things lead, if there's a connection of any sort. If there is, we can move from there. Distance is a relatively small issue if you can find someone who is truly perfect for you, after all.
I should also mention that, for the most part, age isn't an issue. To some extent it will be of course, but I don't mind a bit of an age gap in either direction at all. If it's an issue for you, that's understandable; however, if you think it will be for me, well the only way to really find out is to message me, now isn't it?
I'm open to anyone who sees this and is interested (including those of any experience level) as I don't want to limit myself when I could possibly find chemistry with someone.
Also, while I am in general an emotionally intelligent, nurturing and supportive person, I'm also a massive sadist. To be more specific, I enjoy psychological sadism (although physical sadism is definitely fun too) and that is reflected in my kinks and, to some extent, my personality. While I believe boundaries and limits are to be respected at all times, and I don't enjoy anything if my partner doesn't, I absolutely love teasing, tormenting and torturing my partner in both play and everyday life.
Prepare for a mountain of text! It's a bit long, but I assure you it's worth the read. I decided that since I'm putting myself out there with a post, I want to truly and fully put myself out there and represent myself. I'm hoping that those reading this will recognize the effort that was put into this and get a good feel for who I am as a person. My post is cobbled together from thoughts, beliefs and realizations that I have come upon in my years in the lifestyle (which is why you might see slightly different styles of writing in different parts, this post is taken from my kink profiles and are the sum result of over ten years of experience that I find I still add to every now and then. I try to edit and organize it a bit from time to time, but it's difficult due to the fact that there's so much that I wish to include.)
Long story short, I can be a bit...rambly, sometimes. So apologies in advance for that, although I have recently made great strides in editing my post. So I've got that going for me, which is nice.
While it's certainly a lengthy read, it's not nearly as bad as it seems. I recommend reading the whole thing (obviously since I wrote it), especially if you're interested in getting to know a kinky, geeky and empathetic person.
Now that I've covered that, it's time to get to the part you've been waiting for.
I'm a lighthearted, playful and fairly laid back, yet somewhat serious minded, person who's rather upbeat and probably too curious for his own good. I'm also kind, caring, friendly, sometimes cynical and often sarcastic (although in a lighthearted manner, and never at the expense of others.) There's nothing I love to do more than laugh; I love most things involving humor, although I do believe there's a very fine line between hilarity and stupidity.
Now, for some little bits of trivia about me:

While I enjoy relaxing and watching television, I have trouble watching hour long shows as I can only focus on it for so long before my attention wavers, around that time I start looking at my phone and just waiting for it to be over. It's also why I don't watch too many movies; I need my entertainment bite sized. I'll watch movies every once in a while, but they generally need to be 100 minutes tops (unless it's something I'm super into.).
I have difficulty getting into things that are realistic; they usually need to be fantastical in nature and capture my imagination. My preferred genres are comedy, horror (mainly supernatural, no slashers) and most things involving special powers or abilities, however I can sometimes get into action or drama as well. I also have a love for the world of animation, possibly because they tend to be more creative and aren't limited by reality; it's part of why I'm so partial to anime.
Some shows that I'm fond of are:
Gaming is easily one of my biggest hobbies and has been for many, many years now. I see it as an art form, as a way to tell a story that you can deeply immerse yourself in and get pulled into, something that can captivate you and make you lose all track of time because it's simply so engrossing. It's also a damn good way to have fun and kill time, especially when you're playing with friends. It's a big part of my life and something I have spent quite a bit of time and money on. Some people may be put off by this, but it a part of me that I will not deny or hide; after all, if someone has an issue with that then how compatible could we possibly be?

Bring up video/board/tabletop games, super powers, comics, cartoons, anime, manga, sci-fi, fantasy or technology and I'll happily chat your ear off. I'm quite social and love to talk, however I'm also an introvert so there are plenty of times where the pressure of constant social interactions with others gets to me and I need to take some time to myself to mentally recharge.
As I mentioned, I absolutely adore animals. Seriously, if you want to make me hate a bad guy, have him hurt an animal. Ironically, I'm practically a carnivore. I'm convinced that I would starve if I had to hunt for my own food just because I couldn't bring myself to hurt them.
Speaking of food, I'm a bit of a foodie (I dislike that word, but it's accurate.) I'm all about sauces, seasonings and spices, not to mention a love for anything deep fried. I love experiencing different tastes and textures while trying new things...as long as they're not vegetables. No veggies, except corn and potatoes; those two get a pass as they're amazing. I also enjoy onions and peppers in small quantities in dishes.
I've got a nice guy next door look in that I have no tattoos or piercings, have glasses, stay clean shaven and have a bit of a baby face (as in I look rather young, I often get mistaken for being in my mid 20's). I wouldn't say that with my look I would be called handsome, sexy or hot (however I am often called cute (I've also been called handsome a fair amount, it still feels weird though.) I'm also rather pale due to the fact that I stay indoors most of the time (if you can't tell from that, I'm white.) Because of my appearance, and my friendly and laid back nature, people tend to view me as rather innocent. I suppose that isn't entirely incorrect though, I'll admit that I can be a bit naive at times in regards to people and the world.
As for politics and religion, I tend to try to stay away from both.
While I believe I'm somewhat in the middle for the former, as I have views from both sides, if I had to choose I'd say I definitely lean way more towards the left. I believe in the greater good, the needs of the many over the needs of the few, in advancing science and finding alternative fuels and materials that don't pollute or destroy our environment in the process, in trying to create a brighter future, etc, etc. I'm definitely not on the far left however, and hate social justice and cancel culture. I'm empathetic and all, but people need to stop getting offended by every tiny thIng and creating problems that don't exist. That's definitely not exclusive to the left, the right is very guilty of it as well.
For the latter, I generally just consider myself not religious as I don't think or care about it too much. If I had to classify it though I'd say I'm agnostic. This means that, while I don't believe in any god or gods, I acknowledge that they might exist. While I'm 99.3̅3̅3̅% certain that there is no grand creator or afterlife, there's no real way we can know for certain. We're a very young and ignorant species, there's much about life and the universe that we are unaware of or don't understand yet.
I just try to focus on being a good person and doing right by others, not for some earthly or heavenly reward, or for a smug sense of self satisfaction, but because it's simply what I want to do. It's who I am and what makes me feel good about myself.
I try my best to live by The Golden Rule (also known as treat others you the way you wish to be treated or do unto others as you would have them do unto you), being guided by own moral compass that directs me in how I interact with others. I always do my very best to make others feel wanted, cared for, appreciated and understood, to give them validation; I never want anyone to feel left out or unwanted, for any reason at all. Perhaps it's from my own difficult childhood, since I felt that way when I was young and don't want others to go through the same things that I did. Whatever the reason, whenever I say or do anything I tend to, without even realizing it, think about how it will affect the other person and the different ways that it could be taken. I strive to treat others with the courtesy and respect that I believe that they deserve.
As I mentioned, I have a strong moral compass. The only problem is, this is true North for my compass; I feel that's the correct way to treat and interact with others, and I believe that's what everyone should do. So when other people don't act in the way that I believe they should, even though I know everyone is different and everyone has different thoughts, feelings and experiences that led them to those (we are the product of our environments after all), it can bother me. I've come to realize that this is due to holding myself to extremely high standards, and often holding other people to the same standards to which I hold myself.
Unfortunately, that can lead to conflicts with others, sometimes over things that they might feel to be insignificant. It doesn't happen very often though as I can recognize whether something is actually a big deal or not and put it to the back of my mind; I wouldn't be a very good friend or partner if I nitpicked over every little thing, now would I? Despite being very much driven by my moral compass, I'm also calm, collected, understanding and logical by nature.
I've realized that I used to put a lot of pressure on myself when interacting with others, trying to be funny and entertaining, overall trying to make sure that they were having a good time and enjoying themselves. If, for whatever reason, I felt that they were bored I ended up trying even harder to keep them engaged and joyful. It was somewhat of a bad habit of mine; I suppose I just felt like I had a personal stake in everyone that I interacted with, a responsibility almost, and didn't want to leave them wanting. I still do this to some extent, but not as much as I used to; as I've grown and matured, and my anxiety has lessened, I've learned to pull back a bit and that I don't need to carry everyone's burden on my shoulders. I still wish to keep people engaged and happy, and still take on more responsibility than I probably should, however I imagine that I'll always be that way; it's just in my nature.
I'm an emotionally intelligent and extremely empathetic person who's well aware of his inner workings due to my introspective nature. I'm easily able to see things from multiple perspectives, which I believe is because of how I process empathy. I don't necessarily feel the exact pain of others, but I mirror it; it's second nature for me to put myself in their position which allows me to understand the plethora of ways they can think and feel. This is something that is a core part of who I am and that I take great pride in.
I feel deeply, which can lead to me taking things to heart and sometimes reading too much into things or overanalyzing them. Thankfully, due to my great experience in emotional control and regulation (which I'm about to go into), I'm generally able to take a step back from my emotions and understand the intent and meaning behind words and actions so there's less of a chance of misunderstanding.
Because I feel so deeply, that caused problems for me when I was younger. My emotions were a swirling vortex, out of control and ready to burst out at any second. Puberty certainly didn't make this any easier either.
It's been said that our personal identity is 80% environmental and 20% genetic. While I might be genetically predispositioned to feeling so deeply, a lot of it likely comes from traumas experienced in childhood and my inability to process them properly. They left scars that I'm still dealing with today, and as a result of said scars, growing up I was diagnosed with PTSD, anxiety, depression and OCD, on top of the ADHD that I already had. However, I'm thankfully in a very good place thanks to a combination of past therapy, current medication and constant reflection.
I've done a lot of work to be able to get a handle on my emotions. Because I got used to having them under such control, I've been told that at times I can come across as kind of indifferent or hard to read. That's one of the reasons that I'm such an upfront, open, honest and expressive person; I want people to be able to understand me and I generally tell exactly what I'm thinking or how something makes me feel so that others can do that.
Honestly, one of my biggest fears is that no one will ever be able to understand me like I understand myself. It's right up there with a fear of the unknown (one is the reasons I don't do deep water, I don't want to fuck with any Cthulhu monsters that are down there) and losing my memories, as in the end we're just a sum of our memories and I don't want to lose who I am.
I never claimed to be perfect; I have my flaws as well, and try to work on them every day to improve myself as a person. Since I've already put so much of myself into my profile, I thought that it was only right to put the negative parts in as well.
While some of these things could certainly be considered negative traits, I believe that they help make me the Dom that I am. Because I AM so compassionate, because I AM so empathetic, because I HAVE been through so much and still keep going, I feel that I can give a sub or a slave what she truly needs to thrive in her environment. When you combine that with my nurturing and empathetic nature this type of relationship is the natural choice for me (more on that next). I believe that's also why I find myself naturally drawn to the weak, the helpless and the damaged. I have an overwhelming desire to heal them, to help and protect them while nurturing them and watching them grow into who I know they can be, which goes with what I was saying before.
A sub knows that her Dom loves her unconditionally and only wants what is best for her. While I do certainly enjoy doing this, I primarily do this to help my sub above all else. I'm a nurturing soul who wishes nothing more than to protect his partner. To take care of her and help her when she needs it. To be her support and her life line. To give her the guidance, structure and discipline she needs to feel fulfilled in life. To set rules and guidelines so that she can move freely within those set limits and be happy. To help her decide what is best for her when she herself doesn't know. To provide the security and comfort of knowing that she is being taken care of and that she has someone she can talk to about anything without any sort of judgment or prejudice. I want her to thrive and become the person that she was always meant to be. I enjoy pushing my sub to explore her boundaries and limits, within reason of course. I simply wish to see her flourish and blossom, to help her become what I know she can be and reach higher plateaus.
I realize the previous paragraphs could sound condescending in some ways, however that couldn't be further from the truth. I see my partner as an equal, someone who simply has different needs that I can fulfill so that they can live a fulfilling life themselves, and in turn by fulfilling those needs of theirs, I feel fulfilled as well. We ultimately form a symbiotic relationship of sorts.
Make no mistake, I have no desire to micromanage every tiny detail of my sub's life, nor form a codependent relationship where she's entirely reliant upon me for her mental and emotional needs. The level and extent of the D/s relationship is decided after long discussion and input from both parties.
Some believe that being a Dom is just telling people what to do and getting what you want while getting off, but it's so much more than that. It's not as easy or simple as it appears, you must always keep what is best for your sub in mind, even if it conflicts with your own immediate or future interests. You must constantly be aware of her needs and desires while providing checks and balances to help her live a life worth living. Anyone can simply give a sub what she wants, it takes a true Dom to say no because you feel that is what is best for her.
At least that's how it should be. There are so many "Doms" out there that don't care about their subs at all, only themselves. They don't care if they're suffering physically or emotionally, they simply use them as toys they can play with and then toss aside when they're bored; they abuse them and hurt them simply because they get a kick out of it. A real Dom/sub relationship is a very special and strong bond, much more so than a vanilla relationship in my opinion. So many people seem to have issues understanding that unfortunately, there's a certain stigma associated with this and preconceptions are formed before they even learn anything about it.
Truthfully, I believe the sub holds the power in the relationship in many ways. She is the one that is choosing to submit after all, to give up her power and control to the Dom. Despite that, she is the one that has control over the power of safe words, that can stop an activity with a single utterance. Her subservience is completely voluntary, something that many people don't seem to think about. It's not simply about someone bossing someone around because they can, it's about someone choosing a partner that they feel is worthy to give their all to.
While the following is my ideal, as I said at the beginning, I'm open to talking to anyone that reads this. However, I'm not particularly interested in "littles" or "brats".
Ideally my partner would be what is typically called an adult babygirl, and I'd like to elaborate on that term since some might not be familiar with it. Essentially it's someone who enjoys the nurturing, loving and structured aspect of a Daddy Dom or DD/lg relationship but isn't a little themselves; meaning that they don't have a mental age that they regress to, among other things. (I don't identify as a Daddy myself, however due to my protective and supportive/nurturing nature you could say I'm Daddy leaning.)
Some people have their entire lives revolve around the lifestyle, going to munches, conventions, parties and attempting to reach out to their community and find a place to belong. That might work for them, but it's of no interest to me. While I'm certainly not opposed to chatting and making friends and connections, I have no desire to be a part of a community. I'm simply seeking one whose ideas and beliefs line up with my own for a symbiotic relationship as I mentioned before
If I had to describe such a relationship, it would definitely be on the lighter side of the spectrum in regards to what daily life would be like. I'm seeking a 24/7 TPE, however I also enjoy being casual with my sub. Perhaps in some ways it's more similar to a vanilla relationship with strong Dom/sub undertones than a typical BDSM relationship.
In my perfect situation, we would still be able to joke around, have fun and be very close and romantic; however there is also the constant understanding that I am in charge, and what I say goes. No matter how much fun we may be having or what we might be doing, she should always know her place, even if it's only in the back of her mind. There are rules in place for her benefit, and if she breaks those rules she will be punished.
By what I say goes, I mean I have the final say in subjects because, as a submissive, she has given the reins of power over to me. She trusts me to make her decisions for her and to do what is best for her, to take care of and protect her. I'm never the type to say "this is how it's going to be, I don't care what you want, end of discussion" as discourse is the only way two people can truly understand one another. I always value my submissive's input and always want her to give her opinion and speak her mind if something is bothering her.
My ideal sub would be one that is loyal and devoted above all else, but also one who is looking for a Dom she can actually have a connection with. One that, not necessarily needs, but craves guidance, support, structure and discipline in their life; whose life does not feel complete without this, like there is a void deep inside her that cannot be filled unless she has a Dom to guide and take care of her, that she can in turn make happy and serve to the best of her ability.
Beyond anything else though, I want to like them as a person before I love them as a sub. My perfect partner would be someone who is intelligent, kind-hearted, earnest, funny and a has a fair touch of dorkiness in her. I want her to be someone that actually has personality, that I can laugh with and talk to for hours upon hours on end and still hate the thought of leaving. Someone that will either indulge my love of games and geekery or join me because she's just as much of a fan of those things as I am. Someone who loves how I tease and torment her, keeping her on the edge and revelling in the pleasure I get from watching her squirm.
One thing to note is that just because I am very friendly (sometimes people are surprised when I begin acting more Dominant, others aren't as they say they can "sense it in the way I present myself", even while being friendly and joking around) doesn't mean that I'm not strict when I have to be. I have no problem at all with enforcing rules and giving out punishments, although it's certainly not my favorite aspect of the relationship. I would prefer to reward, encourage and nurture my sub, however there are times when discipline is necessary; if one feels the need to act up, one must be ready accept the consequences after all.
If I had to describe my style of dominance, or what makes me dominant, I suppose that would be a little tricky. I don't feel the need to control everything, nor do I attempt to, and I have no problem with kicking back and letting others take the reigns in everyday situations if I feel they're more qualified or I just plain don't feel like it. Nor am I the type that "oozes" dominance, I don't care for confrontation and am a very easy going, go with the flow person. What I believe it boils down to is I simply feel comfortable with power and, quite frankly, enjoy it. I bear the burden of leadership well, it comes naturally to me and I thrive when I have the weight of another's life on my shoulders; I have little trouble making hard decisions when I need to. It also helps that my sexual inclinations line up with this nicely. If it doesn't last quite some time and doesn't end with both parties panting and soaked in sweat, I'm not particularly interested in it.
On that note, I have quite the kinky side despite my friendly and charming exterior. I suppose I should list it here because, while certainly not the primary focus of my interest in this, sexual compatibility does factor in to some extent.

Some have asked why I've come here to seek this, and really, why are any of us here? We're searching for something that we can't find elsewhere so we've decided to give this a shot.
I've tried other sites without luck and dating is difficult in my area. By that I mean everyone is super country, as in enjoying fishing and listening to country music while complaining about liberals. Or, to phrase it another way - guns, God and Trump. That's a hard pass for me, so this seems like the next step.
Distance isn't an issue for me. I'm hoping to meet someone and chat to see where things lead, if there's a connection of any sort. If there is, we can move from there. Distance is a relatively small issue if you can find someone who is truly perfect for you, after all.
I should also mention that, for the most part, age isn't an issue. To some extent it will be of course, but I don't mind a bit of an age gap in either direction at all. I decided to put this part first because I believe that, above all else, the people involved should connect on a personal level and "click", if you will. This tells about who I am and my hobbies and such. If someone can't accept this part of me, how could we possibly get along?I'm a lighthearted, playful and fairly laid back, yet somewhat serious minded, person who's rather upbeat and probably too curious for his own good. Now, for some little bits of trivia about me:
- According to the Myers-Briggs system, I'm an INFP. Online tests can give you an idea of where to start, but they're not that reliable and the results can change depending on your mood that day. To truly discover your type requires self-reflection to learn about your cognitive functions, and while doing so I learned a lot about myself. I don't follow it religiously, but I believe there are some elements of truth to it.
- I'm definitely a Type B Personality.
- I'm a hopeless romantic, an old soul who's young at heart, a cynical optimist and a realistic dreamer.
- I'm definitely that type that believes in better safe than sorry, and one of my mottos is "Hope for the best, prepare for the worst." I also tend to do copious amounts of research before any big decision.
- I consider myself to be a very grounded, down to earth and genuine person.
- I'm extremely friendly and believe in treating others with the same respect that you would like to receive and generally try to do what I feel is "right" by others (more on that in a bit.)
- I like to believe in the best of human nature, although I seem to be let down a fair bit. Even so, I don't want to let that stop me.
- I have very strong values and ideals, and an even stronger moral compass.
- I believe people are free to do and believe what they want, so long as they don't harm themselves, harm, cause trouble for or inconvenience others, or attempt to force those beliefs on others.
- I believe that a life lived for others is the only life worth living.
- I believe that there's no point in worrying about things that you can't change. If you let yourself get dragged down by it and obsess over it, you'll find yourself crushed under the weight of all the injustices in the world.
- I've been told (rather often actually) that I have a very nice voice, frequently being told that I should go into radio or be an announcer of some kind. I'm very expressive and my voice reflects that, having lots of highs and lows. Truthfully, I believe it's one of my better features.
- I much prefer talking to typing in general, especially when first getting to know someone as you get a much better idea of their personality. Also, I feel like I come across kind of...stiff in my writing style when that's very much not me, so voice allows me to showcase my truest self.
- I tend to be a confidant of sorts; due to my open and genuine nature and what I've been told is a welcoming...aura, I suppose, people tend to find me easy to talk to and trust, coming to me to confide things and seek out advice. This is something that brings me great happiness and pride as having the trust of others is important to me.
- Promises are very important to me; once I give my word in regards to something I'll keep it, even if I don't particularly want to. As cheesy as it might sound, to me my word is my bond.
- Admittedly, subtlety is not one of my strong points. I'm a very open, upfront and honest person. I'm terrible at lying (I hate doing it and I just give away that I am) and can't keep a straight face to save my life. If I were an actor, I would probably be Jimmy Fallon.
- I welcome people to give me constructive criticism and feedback as I'm constantly looking to improve myself. Yes, that even includes those that message me saying my post is far too long.
- I can't fake a smile to save my life, it has to be genuine for me. One of the many reasons I hate having photos taken of me.
- I find intelligence, humor and kindness to be the most desirable traits in a partner (although being easy on the eyes doesn't hurt.)
- My senses are all very sensitive, and can sometimes overwhelm me when I'm introduced to new stimuli.
- I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to too. Wait, I'm just kidding, just wanted to throw a little Mitch Hedberg in here. I don't drink, smoke or do drugs. While I have no issue with those who drink, I do tend to avoid smokers and hardcore drug users.
- Despite what the length of my post may say about me, I absolutely hate writing.
- I enjoy visiting places but hate the actual traveling (which is one of the reasons why if I could have one power it would be teleportation [actually if I could have one power it would be the ability to manipulate space and time, however for simplicity's sake I'm just going to say teleportation for now {not Star Trek teleportation though, fuck that.}])
- I hate waiting and I hate making others wait.
- I love the symbolism of trees and what they represent: strength, vitality, protection.
- If I had to rank the seven deadly sins in the order that I'm guilty of from most to least, it would go: Gluttony, Pride, Sloth, Lust, Envy, Greed and Wrath.
- If I were to list the Magic the Gathering colors that I most identify with from most to least, it would go: White, Blue, Green, Red and then Black.
- Growing up I was all about DBZ, Dinosaurs, Gargoyles, Ghostbusters, Ninja Turtles, Pokémon, Power Rangers, Spider-Man & X-Men.
- I absolutely love animals and have two cats of my own, Ivy and Jasmine (there are wonderful stories behind both names), that I love to death. I probably talk to them like people a bit too much.
- I spend far more time living in my head than I should.
- I firmly believe that breakfast offers the best food. I could eat waffles everyday.

I'm also a fan of big band music, which I actually have Fallout 3 to thank for. I enjoy classical musical as well and, despite having no real knowledge of it and most of it sounding the same, I find it incredibly relaxing and peaceful.
While I enjoy relaxing and watching television, I have trouble watching hour long shows as I can only focus on it for so long before my attention wavers, around that time I start looking at my phone and just waiting for it to be over. It's also why I don't watch too many movies; I need my entertainment bite sized. I'll watch movies every once in a while, but they generally need to be 100 minutes tops (unless it's something I'm super into.).
I have difficulty getting into things that are realistic; they usually need to be fantastical in nature and capture my imagination. My preferred genres are comedy, horror (mainly supernatural, no slashers) and most things involving special powers or abilities, however I can sometimes get into action or drama as well. I also have a love for the world of animation, possibly because they tend to be more creative and aren't limited by reality; it's part of why I'm so partial to anime.

Gaming is easily one of my biggest hobbies and has been for many, many years now. I see it as an art form, as a way to tell a story that you can deeply immerse yourself in and get pulled into, something that can captivate you and make you lose all track of time because it's simply so engrossing. It's also a damn good way to have fun and kill time, especially when you're playing with friends. It's a big part of my life and something I have spent quite a bit of time and money on. Some people may be put off by this, but it a part of me that I will not deny or hide; after all, if someone has an issue with that then how compatible could we possibly be?

I'm constantly on the prowl for new material, and my favorite genres would probably be apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic, dystopian, horror and dark fantasy/grimdark, although I'm certainly in the market for something that has a good element of humor to it as well. If you have any recommendations, I'd absolutely love to hear them!
Bring up video/board/tabletop games, super powers, comics, cartoons, anime, manga, sci-fi, fantasy or technology and I'll happily chat your ear off. I'm quite social and love to talk, however I'm also an introvert so there are plenty of times where the pressure of constant social interactions with others gets to me and I need to take some time to myself to mentally recharge.
As I mentioned, I absolutely adore animals. Seriously, if you want to make me hate a bad guy, have him hurt an animal. Ironically, I'm practically a carnivore. I'm convinced that I would starve if I had to hunt for my own food just because I couldn't bring myself to hurt them.
Speaking of food, I'm a bit of a foodie (I dislike that word, but it's accurate.) I'm all about sauces, seasonings and spices, not to mention a love for anything deep fried. I love experiencing different tastes and textures while trying new things...as long as they're not vegetables. No veggies, except corn and potatoes; those two get a pass as they're amazing. I also enjoy onions and peppers in small quantities in dishes.
I've got a nice guy next door look in that I have no tattoos or piercings, have glasses, stay clean shaven and have a bit of a baby face (as in I look rather young, I often get mistaken for being in my mid 20's). I wouldn't say that with my look I would be called handsome, sexy or hot (however I am often called cute (I've also been called handsome a fair amount, it still feels weird though.) I'm also rather pale due to the fact that I stay indoors most of the time (if you can't tell from that, I'm white.) Because of my appearance, and my friendly and laid back nature, people tend to view me as rather innocent. I suppose that isn't entirely incorrect though, I'll admit that I can be a bit naive at times in regards to people and the world.
As for politics and religion, I tend to try to stay away from both.
While I believe I'm somewhat in the middle for the former, as I have views from both sides, if I had to choose I'd say I definitely lean way more towards the left. I believe in the greater good, the needs of the many over the needs of the few, in advancing science and finding alternative fuels and materials that don't pollute or destroy our environment in the process, in trying to create a brighter future, etc, etc. I'm definitely not on the far left however, and hate social justice and cancel culture. I'm empathetic and all, but people need to stop getting offended by every tiny thIng and creating problems that don't exist. That's definitely not exclusive to the left, the right is very guilty of it as well.
For the latter, I generally just consider myself not religious as I don't think or care about it too much. If I had to classify it though I'd say I'm agnostic. This means that, while I don't believe in any god or gods, I acknowledge that they might exist. While I'm 99.3̅3̅3̅% certain that there is no grand creator or afterlife, there's no real way we can know for certain. We're a very young and ignorant species, there's much about life and the universe that we are unaware of or don't understand yet.
I just try to focus on being a good person and doing right by others, not for some earthly or heavenly reward, or for a smug sense of self satisfaction, but because it's simply what I want to do. It's who I am and what makes me feel good about myself.
I try my best to live by The Golden Rule (also known as treat others you the way you wish to be treated or do unto others as you would have them do unto you), being guided by own moral compass that directs me in how I interact with others. I always do my very best to make others feel wanted, cared for, appreciated and understood, to give them validation; I never want anyone to feel left out or unwanted, for any reason at all. Perhaps it's from my own difficult childhood, since I felt that way when I was young and don't want others to go through the same things that I did. Whatever the reason, whenever I say or do anything I tend to, without even realizing it, think about how it will affect the other person and the different ways that it could be taken. I strive to treat others with the courtesy and respect that I believe that they deserve.
As I mentioned, I have a strong moral compass. The only problem is, this is true North for my compass; I feel that's the correct way to treat and interact with others, and I believe that's what everyone should do. So when other people don't act in the way that I believe they should, even though I know everyone is different and everyone has different thoughts, feelings and experiences that led them to those (we are the product of our environments after all), it can bother me. I've come to realize that this is due to holding myself to extremely high standards, and often holding other people to the same standards to which I hold myself.
Unfortunately, that can lead to conflicts with others, sometimes over things that they might feel to be insignificant. It doesn't happen very often though as I can recognize whether something is actually a big deal or not and put it to the back of my mind; I wouldn't be a very good friend or partner if I nitpicked over every little thing, now would I? Despite being very much driven by my moral compass, I'm also calm, collected, understanding and logical by nature.
I've realized that I used to put a lot of pressure on myself when interacting with others, trying to be funny and entertaining, overall trying to make sure that they were having a good time and enjoying themselves. If, for whatever reason, I felt that they were bored I ended up trying even harder to keep them engaged and joyful. It was somewhat of a bad habit of mine; I suppose I just felt like I had a personal stake in everyone that I interacted with, a responsibility almost, and didn't want to leave them wanting. I still do this to some extent, but not as much as I used to; as I've grown and matured, and my anxiety has lessened, I've learned to pull back a bit and that I don't need to carry everyone's burden on my shoulders. I still wish to keep people engaged and happy, and still take on more responsibility than I probably should, however I imagine that I'll always be that way; it's just in my nature.
I'm an emotionally intelligent and extremely empathetic person who's well aware of his inner workings due to my introspective nature. I'm easily able to see things from multiple perspectives, which I believe is because of how I process empathy. I don't necessarily feel the exact pain of others, but I mirror it; it's second nature for me to put myself in their position which allows me to understand the plethora of ways they can think and feel. This is something that is a core part of who I am and that I take great pride in.
I feel deeply, which can lead to me taking things to heart and sometimes reading too much into things or overanalyzing them. Thankfully, due to my great experience in emotional control and regulation (which I'm about to go into), I'm generally able to take a step back from my emotions and understand the intent and meaning behind words and actions so there's less of a chance of misunderstanding.
Because I feel so deeply, that caused problems for me when I was younger. My emotions were a swirling vortex, out of control and ready to burst out at any second. Puberty certainly didn't make this any easier either.
It's been said that our personal identity is 80% environmental and 20% genetic. While I might be genetically predispositioned to feeling so deeply, a lot of it likely comes from traumas experienced in childhood and my inability to process them properly. They left scars that I'm still dealing with today, and as a result of said scars, growing up I was diagnosed with PTSD, anxiety, depression and OCD, on top of the ADHD that I already had. However, I'm thankfully in a very good place thanks to a combination of past therapy, current medication and constant reflection.
I've done a lot of work to be able to get a handle on my emotions. Because I got used to having them under such control, I've been told that at times I can come across as kind of indifferent or hard to read. That's one of the reasons that I'm such an upfront, open, honest and expressive person; I want people to be able to understand me and I generally tell exactly what I'm thinking or how something makes me feel so that others can do that.
Honestly, one of my biggest fears is that no one will ever be able to understand me like I understand myself. It's right up there with a fear of the unknown (one is the reasons I don't do deep water, I don't want to fuck with any Cthulhu monsters that are down there) and losing my memories, as in the end we're just a sum of our memories and I don't want to lose who I am.
I never claimed to be perfect; I have my flaws as well, and try to work on them every day to improve myself as a person. Since I've already put so much of myself into my profile, I thought that it was only right to put the negative parts in as well.
While some of these things could certainly be considered negative traits, I believe that they help make me the Dom that I am. Because I AM so compassionate, because I AM so empathetic, because I HAVE been through so much and still keep going, I feel that I can give a sub or a slave what she truly needs to thrive in her environment. My Beliefs:
If I had to break down why this all appeals to me to one reason, to put it simply, I'd have to say that I'm the kind of person who wants to be needed. I find that, overall, I feel more driven and fulfilled if I know that I have someone that depends on me. If I have someone whose best interests I must keep in mind, who I need to protect and care for, I feel a greater sense of purpose than the humdrum rumblings of everyday life.When you combine that with my nurturing and empathetic nature this type of relationship is the natural choice for me (more on that next). I believe that's also why I find myself naturally drawn to the weak, the helpless and the damaged. I have an overwhelming desire to heal them, to help and protect them while nurturing them and watching them grow into who I know they can be, which goes with what I was saying before.
A sub knows that her Dom loves her unconditionally and only wants what is best for her. While I do certainly enjoy doing this, I primarily do this to help my sub above all else. I'm a nurturing soul who wishes nothing more than to protect his partner. To take care of her and help her when she needs it. To be her support and her life line. To give her the guidance, structure and discipline she needs to feel fulfilled in life. To set rules and guidelines so that she can move freely within those set limits and be happy. To help her decide what is best for her when she herself doesn't know. To provide the security and comfort of knowing that she is being taken care of and that she has someone she can talk to about anything without any sort of judgment or prejudice. I want her to thrive and become the person that she was always meant to be. I enjoy pushing my sub to explore her boundaries and limits, within reason of course. I simply wish to see her flourish and blossom, to help her become what I know she can be and reach higher plateaus.
I realize the previous paragraphs could sound condescending in some ways, however that couldn't be further from the truth. I see my partner as an equal, someone who simply has different needs that I can fulfill so that they can live a fulfilling life themselves, and in turn by fulfilling those needs of theirs, I feel fulfilled as well. We ultimately form a symbiotic relationship of sorts.
Make no mistake, I have no desire to micromanage every tiny detail of my sub's life, nor form a codependent relationship where she's entirely reliant upon me for her mental and emotional needs. The level and extent of the D/s relationship is decided after long discussion and input from both parties.
Some believe that being a Dom is just telling people what to do and getting what you want while getting off, but it's so much more than that. It's not as easy or simple as it appears, you must always keep what is best for your sub in mind, even if it conflicts with your own immediate or future interests. You must constantly be aware of her needs and desires while providing checks and balances to help her live a life worth living. Anyone can simply give a sub what she wants, it takes a true Dom to say no because you feel that is what is best for her.
At least that's how it should be. There are so many "Doms" out there that don't care about their subs at all, only themselves. They don't care if they're suffering physically or emotionally, they simply use them as toys they can play with and then toss aside when they're bored; they abuse them and hurt them simply because they get a kick out of it. A real Dom/sub relationship is a very special and strong bond, much more so than a vanilla relationship in my opinion. So many people seem to have issues understanding that unfortunately, there's a certain stigma associated with this and preconceptions are formed before they even learn anything about it.
Truthfully, I believe the sub holds the power in the relationship in many ways. She is the one that is choosing to submit after all, to give up her power and control to the Dom. Despite that, she is the one that has control over the power of safe words, that can stop an activity with a single utterance. Her subservience is completely voluntary, something that many people don't seem to think about. It's not simply about someone bossing someone around because they can, it's about someone choosing a partner that they feel is worthy to give their all to.
What I'm looking for:
I'm not here looking for a booty call or one night stand, but to find a potential partner in crime, possibly for life if a connection is made. More than anything, I simply wish to find someone who looks at me the way this girl looks at her prom date.While the following is my ideal, as I said at the beginning, I'm open to talking to anyone that reads this. In my perfect situation, we would still be able to joke around, have fun and be very close and romantic; however there is also the constant understanding that I am in charge, and what I say goes. No matter how much fun we may be having or what we might be doing, she should always know her place, even if it's only in the back of her mind. There are rules in place for her benefit, and if she breaks those rules she will be punished.
By what I say goes, I mean I have the final say in subjects because, as a submissive, she has given the reins of power over to me. She trusts me to make her decisions for her and to do what is best for her, to take care of and protect her. I'm never the type to say "this is how it's going to be, I don't care what you want, end of discussion" as discourse is the only way two people can truly understand one another. I always value my submissive's input and always want her to give her opinion and speak her mind if something is bothering her.
My ideal sub would be one that is loyal and devoted above all else, but also one who is looking for a Dom she can actually have a connection with. One that, not necessarily needs, but craves guidance, support, structure and discipline in their life; whose life does not feel complete without this, like there is a void deep inside her that cannot be filled unless she has a Dom to guide and take care of her, that she can in turn make happy and serve to the best of her ability.

If I had to describe my style of dominance, or what makes me dominant, I suppose that would be a little tricky. I don't feel the need to control everything, nor do I attempt to, and I have no problem with kicking back and letting others take the reigns in everyday situations if I feel they're more qualified or I just plain don't feel like it. Nor am I the type that "oozes" dominance, I don't care for confrontation and am a very easy going, go with the flow person. What I believe it boils down to is I simply feel comfortable with power and, quite frankly, enjoy it. I bear the burden of leadership well, it comes naturally to me and I thrive when I have the weight of another's life on my shoulders; I have little trouble making hard decisions when I need to. It also helps that my sexual inclinations line up with this nicely. If it doesn't last quite some time and doesn't end with both parties panting and soaked in sweat, I'm not particularly interested in it.

The Empire is EVIL, in fact the Empire is the archetypical EVIL government
and there is little of nothing to say that can redeem it.
However in the aspect of good vs evil the individuals that make up this EVIL government may be both good and evil and in fact most may in fact be good.
While Tarkin was one of the Archeyptical EVIL Imperials we can easily argue that with the wast number of planets there would be planets that is controlled and ruled by imperial governors that do treat their people well, even very well
making them essntiianly good people, but of course overall servants of an evil government but still individually good.
I think we can all agree this is how the world works, both in star wars and in the real world.
Now lets look at the good vs evil aspets where it comes to the force.
How do we define good vs evil when dealing with the force?
I have found that we deal with the good vs evil aspects as they are seen by the eyesof a religion, this religion has been defualted to be the "only" good and "light" and that all other are "evil" and "dark" in some form, this is nonsense.
We have the famous scene where Luke actually uses the force to choke the Gamorrean gurds at Jabba's Palace.
Luke her by the rules would have been issued a Dark Sie Point, with the Insinuation that his was an EVIL act, where as I would disagree totally, it was in fact bot a good act and a light act and extremely jedi act, and thus even when the RPG rules says to issue a DSP when using the power to injure or kill, this was the LEAST of EVILS, with the alternatives being, choke and scare but not kill, or risk a fight and having to draw weapon and suffer a high RISK of KILLING.
I say the non killing using choke even if a DSP by rules is NON DSP act and the light and jedi way as it prevents a fight that can easily become deadly, and it leaves nobody dead or permanently injured, only stunned and with possible lack of movement for a limited time and with a little bit of a lack of breath for a while.

BUT simply arguing and risking to provovke a fight with both the pirate leader and the henchemen as "people are different but the blaster makes them all equals " both sides now fight equally and the pirates have no reason to assume they can not get out ahead since both sides are "equal"
in having the blastrers, thus increasing the risk of a fight that could leave both side with far more serious injuries than being stunned , and even with serious injury or death on both sides is the ALTRISTIC PEACEFUL JEDI way?

It makes no sense, so we can not give DSP for any power use alone, we must always have a MOTIVE/INTENT aspect to it and use this to determine DSP awarded and Good or Evil act.

I can see 6 Evil Points and you have demonstrated that you are in fact EVIL
Much like the thrshold of 6 DSP making you a "fallen to the dark side-evil"
So maybe have a Evil Point Count where blatant EVIL MOTIVED acts give 1 point, and at 6 points total there is no return.
We can of course mix in DSPs here where being issued a DSP for and act is only given when also given an Evil Point.

Ana on the other hand is also a martial artist and does also cause extrme pain to her opponents but only if she must and only when the alternative is something far worse. She does not automatically get DSP for using the power. becuse her motive is not the same as Joe, she does not use it to prove a point, but to avoid something possibly worse, a decition motivated more in the "good" spectrum than in the "Evil" spectrum as with Joe.
Perhaps the esiest way is for the GM to be the one to decide if the Act is a DSP act based on common sense and playecharacter motive more than RAW?

The Empire is EVIL, in fact the Empire is the archetypical EVIL government
and there is little of nothing to say that can redeem it.
However in the aspect of good vs evil the individuals that make up this EVIL government may be both good and evil and in fact most may in fact be good.
While Tarkin was one of the Archeyptical EVIL Imperials we can easily argue that with the wast number of planets there would be planets that is controlled and ruled by imperial governors that do treat their people well, even very well
making them essntiianly good people, but of course overall servants of an evil government but still individually good.
I think we can all agree this is how the world works, both in star wars and in the real world.
Now lets look at the good vs evil aspets where it comes to the force.
How do we define good vs evil when dealing with the force?
I have found that we deal with the good vs evil aspects as they are seen by the eyesof a religion, this religion has been defualted to be the "only" good and "light" and that all other are "evil" and "dark" in some form, this is nonsense.
We have the famous scene where Luke actually uses the force to choke the Gamorrean gurds at Jabba's Palace.
Luke her by the rules would have been issued a Dark Sie Point, with the Insinuation that his was an EVIL act, where as I would disagree totally, it was in fact bot a good act and a light act and extremely jedi act, and thus even when the RPG rules says to issue a DSP when using the power to injure or kill, this was the LEAST of EVILS, with the alternatives being, choke and scare but not kill, or risk a fight and having to draw weapon and suffer a high RISK of KILLING.
I say the non killing using choke even if a DSP by rules is NON DSP act and the light and jedi way as it prevents a fight that can easily become deadly, and it leaves nobody dead or permanently injured, only stunned and with possible lack of movement for a limited time and with a little bit of a lack of breath for a while.
We have a "sith" power called Aura of Uneasiness

2001/07/28 Jd' BS Japan (07/22) & 2001/08/04 Jd' BS Japan (07/22)
Some kind of OCD compels me to separate these Jd’ shows, but these undercards on the shows are such junk they’re not even worth it, and Nishi isn’t even on this show! Kazuki vs. Chitose Yamamoto (4:53). This had a 5 minute time limit, for some reason KAZUKI needed help from her goons dealing with little Yamamoto and won with 7 second to spare. 1/4*. Ayano Omori & Chiaki Kashida vs. Teruko Kagawa & Keiko Furuta (9:58). Athress tag, they try hard. Furuta has nothing, I’ve seen far worse than the others. *. Yoko Takahashi vs. Junko Yagi. This was a shoot fight, pass. Sachie Abe & Drake Morimatsu vs. ARIYA & Emi Tomimatsu (5:33 / 12:28). This was Tomimatsu’s debut and she couldn’t do much. She worked all of what they showed and it was pretty bad squash for Drake & Abe. 1/2*
TWF Tag Title Series Final, LSD 2001 Rules: The Bloody & Fang Suzuki vs. Sumie Sakai & Hiroyo Muto (16:31 / 33:21, 7:13)
You had to wonder what kind of insanity Bloody had devised for this. The first spot was Muto hurling a heavy drum at everyone that looked like it would’ve done some damage if it connected. Muto and Fang ended up fighting with those drums while Sakai and Bloody fought on the balcony at the very top of the building, they ended up hanging on by rope and fighting halfway down. Bloody put Sakai in her Bloody EX from that position and got the submission. They hadn’t disappointed with the first 8 minutes. There was big jump to 15 minutes remaining after the commercial break, and there was plunder everywhere. Muto clobbered Fang onto a pile of chairs in the crowd to even the match. In the ring, Bloody did a top rope Dragon suplex on Sakai, onto Muto who was laying there and then they kept brawling all over the building. In the crowd Muto rocket launchered Sakai onto Bloody through a table. They jumped ahead again and there was a pile of tables set up at ringside and Bloody and Fang did dives on Sakai through them to make it 2-1. Immediately after that they chokeslammed Sakai onto chairs they’d placed on top of a ladder. Sakai came back hitting a rana on Fang onto the same ladder and put her in a choke sleeper and choked her out with 43 seconds left. Sakai went for a pin but only got two and then Fang came back from the dead with her own sleeper but Sakai hung on so it ended 2-2. It couldn’t end there so they kept going. Fang put a sleeper on Sakai but that didn’t get it done so she powerbombed her through a table in the crowd. Muto nailed Fang with a ladder and they fought. Bloody took over and tried to suplex Muto off a ladder through another table but got sent flying through it. They fought in the ring but Muto couldn’t put her away. Bloody came back with her Bloody EX but Sakai broke it up. They wanted to double team Muto with a chain but Fang got rid of Sakai. Bloody locked in the Bloody EX again but Sakai broke free to stop it. Bloody nailed her and got the chain and laid into Muto with it but got caught in a brainbuster, one more onto a pile of chairs and Muto gets the pin. Yep, they’re a bunch of maniacs and they topped their previous matches for sure. See, if you’re going to do a car crash match, do a goddamn car crash match. Probably opening a can of worms with this rating but I don’t give a fuck. ****
Hiromi Yagi vs. Megumi Yabushita (6:38)
Dives at the start and it turned into mainly Yagi looking for spots and Yabushita going for submissions, they didn’t really do anything interesting and then it just ended with Yagi hitting a back suplex hold. What? Really? That was it? What a disappointment. *3/4
NEO Friday Night War Vol. 4 7/27/2001 Itabashi Green Hall
NEO Itabashi Tag Team Title Match: Acute Sae & Chiaki Nishi vs. Yuka Nakamura & Yuka Shiina (11:28)
Nothing in the way of quality wrestling but the Nishi comedy goodness continued (and no I’m not being sarcastic, she is actually funny). Sae tried the 200 IQ belt stealing tactic but Nakamura & Shiina weren’t falling for it, so she went and stole Ishida but it backfired because Nishi was outside the ring for some reason and couldn’t keep Nakamura out so she got back in and Nishi got counted out. I’m not sure why Nishi was outside. Sae & Nishi kept the belts anyway so I guess they’re using American rules where they don’t change hands on a count out. *3/4
Yoshiko Tamura vs. Megumi Sato (6:26)
Sato has been around for a while but I’m not sure how active she’s been since she was in LLPW. Tamura let her do her moves and few weak holds and then squashed her. 1/2*
Yoshiko Tamura vs. Yuiga (3:55)
No idea who this Yuiga scrub is, she just ran out and jumped Tamura and now we got another match. Yuiga showed nothing and Tamura squashed her as well. 1/4*
Misae Genki vs. Emi Motokawa (12:31)
This was decent when it was a power vs speed match. Motokawa blew a couple of spots but she was mostly fine and Genki was good when she was running through Motokawa but there was plenty of meandering around to go with it. It didn’t really feel like a complete match. There wasn’t even really a finishing sequence, Genki just ended with a G Driver. **1/4
Mid Summer Tag Tournament Semi Final Match: Kyoko Inoue & Lioness Asuka vs. Tanny Mouse & Yuki Miyazaki
This was a comedy match of the bad variety. Lioness didn’t get too involved until it got more serious later on but it wasn’t one of her bigger efforts. There was some okay wrestling from Miyazaki but neither Lioness or Kyoko were going to sell for her and she was easily put away by Lioness. Lioness tried to make Kyoko do the table stomp but Kyoko wasn’t going for it. *1/4
AJW Athena - W Fusion 2001 7/27/2001 Yoyogi National Gymnasium, Tokyo, Tokyo
The new KISS no Sekai, with Mika Nishio replacing Miho Wakizawa sing Kiss of the World.
5 Minute Exhibition Match: Kumiko Maekawa vs. Ari Suzuki (5:00)
Basic 5 minutes, Suzuki mainly just did dropkicks and Maekawa dominated.
AJW Title Tournament Final: Miho Wakizawa vs. Kayo Noumi (16:38)
Took a bit to get going and once it did Miho injured her shoulder, though I’m not sure if it was the shoulder so much as her neck by the way her hand seemed to go numb. She continued on and they had a decent match with their usual good near falls. Noumi actually pulled off the win this time. I normally enjoy the matches these two have together, but this one less so due to the injury. **
Japan Grand Prix '01: Momoe Nakanishi vs. Yumiko Hotta (16:37)
Hotta was as selfish as she always is, Momoe went the Shawn Michaels route when working with a big useless stiff and just bumped like crazy to make it entertaining, and succeeded. It wasn’t much while Hotta was going through her crowd brawling and mat stuff, but by the end it had turned into a good match. Momoe kept going for her dives but Hotta kept avoiding them. She started connecting with them for some near falls and survived Hotta’s Tiger Driver, top rope German and a shotei, then caught with her Momoe Latch. Would’ve helped if Hotta didn’t make sure you didn’t know it was a total fluke, but Momoe won and you take what you can get. ***
2/3 Falls, WWWA World Tag Title Match: Etsuko Mita & Mima Shimoda vs. Tomoko Watanabe & Nanae Takahashi (6:21, 3:06, 18:09)
First fall was your typical LCO slaughter. Plenty of chairshots, brawling, everything you expect. Watanabe got some good color but Fuji TV went for a close up at the wrong time and you could see her juicing and passing the blade off to Nanae. Second fall kept the action going but Watanabe came back and evened the match up with a hellsmasher on Mita. These two falls were pretty damn good. The third fall was the long one, well built as always. It was better when Watanabe was in but it was mainly Nanae. Shimoda was mainly paired with her and made her look good. They had a way better finishing run this time than in the last match. Watanabe was keeping Nanae alive or Nanae was able to avoid the double teams when she could, though she still got caught in some that made for a big near falls. Shimoda ended up wiping out Mita accidentally to take her out of the match and Watanabe came with a screwdriver and a hellsmasher diving elbow combo almost got them the win but Mita saved, Watanabe dealt with her while Nanae hit a Nanarocker to win the tag belts. I’d put this one slightly ahead of the May match. ***3/4
W FUSION steel & iron Vale Tudo Rule: Kaoru Ito vs. Erin Toughill
Another dumb MMA experiment from the Matsunagas, mainly because Ito was never going to beat Toughill and even if she somehow did, Toughill wasn’t a big enough name for it to really do much for her. Didn’t look like a good fight, Ito seemed to be able to get Toughill down, but couldn’t do anything when she had her there and Toughill appeared to be working more from the bottom than Ito was on top. Ito survived the fight at least, though Toughill made a mess out of her eye and won by decision.
AJW Zen Nihon Joshi Puroesu Garage Match Vol. 1 6/24/2001 & 7/29/2001 Zenjo Garage, Tokyo
Ah, the garage tapes. Zenjo started opening up the dojo for shows at some point and taped them. These are pretty fun shows, but the matches aren’t exactly what you get on the regular shows, or even the house shows for that matter and nor should you expect them to be. This one had two shows on it.

Japan Grand Prix '01: Etsuko Mita vs. Miho Wakizawa (5:20). Fine, but barely more than a squash for Mita. Miho got a run of missile dropkicks but that was about it. **. Kaoru Ito & Mika Nishio vs. Momoe Nakanishi & Kayo Noumi (16:42). Some comedy and low level stuff from Noumi and Nishio. Nishio didn’t look too good and Noumi couldn’t do much other than amuse Ito. Ito got into it with Momoe and they were having a good run, Momoe missed the turnbuckle for her moonsault and her and Ito cracked up. Fun match. **1/2. Nanae Takahashi & Miyuki Fujii vs. Yumiko Hotta & Manami Toyota (15:38). This was a lot less fun at least in the first half, just a low effort one sided squash. Got better in the last 5 minutes. Toyota loves to steal the show no matter how small it is so she still busted out some good spots later in the match and it got more competitive then. **1/4. Japan Grand Prix '01: Tomoko Watanabe vs. Kumiko Maekawa (11:48). This would be the low effort dojo match that just ended up being a drag. It was still adequate but nothing more than that. **

Japan Grand Prix '01: Kayo Noumi vs. Miyuki Fujii (11:16). You’d expect a nothing match from these two, and they delivered. A whole lot of stretching and a few moves at the end. *. Japan Grand Prix '01: Kaoru Ito vs. Nanae Takahashi (14:11). Ito’s eye was all fucked up from the Toughill fight, she was a mess. That didn’t stop her from delivering a solid match though. Ito worked a slower paced and more basic match to what you normally get from her, but her intensity and hard hitting made it a decent one. **1/2. Japan Grand Prix '01: Manami Toyota vs. Miho Wakizawa (7:05). Short match with plenty of spots, started out well and lost some steam as it went on. Mho managed to pull out a fluke win. **1/4. Tomoko Watanabe & Momoe Nakanishi vs. Yumiko Hotta & Kumiko Maekawa (13:22). Momoe kept this interesting, while Hotta and Maekawa were keeping it uninteresting. Watanabe got her cut from two days earlier reopened, she was good but she didn’t do much other than get beat on. **1/4. Momo Latch cam on the bus and other places closed out the tape, I’m sure this would’ve been a lot of fun if I could understand any of it.

Bloody took over and tried to suplex Muto off a ladder through another table but got sent flying through it. They fought in the ring but Muto couldn’t put her away. Bloody came back with her Bloody EX but Sakai broke it up. They wanted to double team Muto with a chain but Fang got rid of Sakai. Bloody locked in the Bloody EX again but Sakai broke free to stop it. Bloody nailed her and got the chain and laid into Muto with it but got caught in a brainbuster, one more onto a pile of chairs and Muto gets the pin. Yep, they’re a bunch of maniacs and they topped their previous matches for sure. See, if you’re going to do a car crash match, do a goddamn car crash match. Probably opening a can of worms with this rating but I don’t give a fuck. ****
Hiromi Yagi vs. Megumi Yabushita (6:38)
Dives at the start and it turned into mainly Yagi looking for spots and Yabushita going for submissions, they didn’t really do anything interesting and then it just ended with Yagi hitting a back suplex hold. What? Really? That was it? What a disappointment. *3/4
NEO Friday Night War Vol. 4 7/27/2001 Itabashi Green Hall
NEO Itabashi Tag Team Title Match: Acute Sae & Chiaki Nishi vs. Yuka Nakamura & Yuka Shiina (11:28)
Nothing in the way of quality wrestling but the Nishi comedy goodness continued (and no I’m not being sarcastic, she is actually funny). Sae tried the 200 IQ belt stealing tactic but Nakamura & Shiina weren’t falling for it, so she went and stole Ishida but it backfired because Nishi was outside the ring for some reason and couldn’t keep Nakamura out so she got back in and Nishi got counted out. I’m not sure why Nishi was outside. Sae & Nishi kept the belts anyway so I guess they’re using American rules where they don’t change hands on a count out. *3/4
Yoshiko Tamura vs. Megumi Sato (6:26)
Sato has been around for a while but I’m not sure how active she’s been since she was in LLPW. Tamura let her do her moves and few weak holds and then squashed her. 1/2*
Yoshiko Tamura vs. Yuiga (3:55)
No idea who this Yuiga scrub is, she just ran out and jumped Tamura and now we got another match. Yuiga showed nothing and Tamura squashed her as well. 1/4*
Misae Genki vs. Emi Motokawa (12:31)
This was decent when it was a power vs speed match. Motokawa blew a couple of spots but she was mostly fine and Genki was good when she was running through Motokawa but there was plenty of meandering around to go with it. It didn’t really feel like a complete match. There wasn’t even really a finishing sequence, Genki just ended with a G Driver. **1/4
Mid Summer Tag Tournament Semi Final Match: Kyoko Inoue & Lioness Asuka vs. Tanny Mouse & Yuki Miyazaki
This was a comedy match of the bad variety. Lioness didn’t get too involved until it got more serious later on but it wasn’t one of her bigger efforts. There was some okay wrestling from Miyazaki but neither Lioness or Kyoko were going to sell for her and she was easily put away by Lioness. Lioness tried to make Kyoko do the table stomp but Kyoko wasn’t going for it. *1/4
AJW Athena - W Fusion 2001 7/27/2001 Yoyogi National Gymnasium, Tokyo, Tokyo
The new KISS no Sekai, with Mika Nishio replacing Miho Wakizawa sing Kiss of the World.
5 Minute Exhibition Match: Kumiko Maekawa vs. Ari Suzuki (5:00)
Basic 5 minutes, Suzuki mainly just did dropkicks and Maekawa dominated.
AJW Title Tournament Final: Miho Wakizawa vs. Kayo Noumi (16:38)
Took a bit to get going and once it did Miho injured her shoulder, though I’m not sure if it was the shoulder so much as her neck by the way her hand seemed to go numb. She continued on and they had a decent match with their usual good near falls. Noumi actually pulled off the win this time. I normally enjoy the matches these two have together, but this one less so due to the injury. **
Japan Grand Prix '01: Momoe Nakanishi vs. Yumiko Hotta (16:37)
Hotta was as selfish as she always is, Momoe went the Shawn Michaels route when working with a big useless stiff and just bumped like crazy to make it entertaining, and succeeded. It wasn’t much while Hotta was going through her crowd brawling and mat stuff, but by the end it had turned into a good match. Momoe kept going for her dives but Hotta kept avoiding them. She started connecting with them for some near falls and survived Hotta’s Tiger Driver, top rope German and a shotei, then caught with her Momoe Latch. Would’ve helped if Hotta didn’t make sure you didn’t know it was a total fluke, but Momoe won and you take what you can get. ***
2/3 Falls, WWWA World Tag Title Match: Etsuko Mita & Mima Shimoda vs. Tomoko Watanabe & Nanae Takahashi (6:21, 3:06, 18:09)
First fall was your typical LCO slaughter. Plenty of chairshots, brawling, everything you expect. Watanabe got some good color but Fuji TV went for a close up at the wrong time and you could see her juicing and passing the blade off to Nanae. Second fall kept the action going but Watanabe came back and evened the match up with a hellsmasher on Mita. These two falls were pretty damn good. The third fall was the long one, well built as always. It was better when Watanabe was in but it was mainly Nanae. Shimoda was mainly paired with her and made her look good. They had a way better finishing run this time than in the last match. Watanabe was keeping Nanae alive or Nanae was able to avoid the double teams when she could, though she still got caught in some that made for a big near falls. Shimoda ended up wiping out Mita accidentally to take her out of the match and Watanabe came with a screwdriver and a hellsmasher diving elbow combo almost got them the win but Mita saved, Watanabe dealt with her while Nanae hit a Nanarocker to win the tag belts. I’d put this one slightly ahead of the May match. ***3/4
W FUSION steel & iron Vale Tudo Rule: Kaoru Ito vs. Erin Toughill
Another dumb MMA experiment from the Matsunagas, mainly because Ito was never going to beat Toughill and even if she somehow did, Toughill wasn’t a big enough name for it to really do much for her. Didn’t look like a good fight, Ito seemed to be able to get Toughill down, but couldn’t do anything when she had her there and Toughill appeared to be working more from the bottom than Ito was on top. Ito survived the fight at least, though Toughill made a mess out of her eye and won by decision.
AJW Zen Nihon Joshi Puroesu Garage Match Vol. 1 6/24/2001 & 7/29/2001 Zenjo Garage, Tokyo
Ah, the garage tapes. Zenjo started opening up the dojo for shows at some point and taped them. These are pretty fun shows, but the matches aren’t exactly what you get on the regular shows, or even the house shows for that matter and nor should you expect them to be. This one had two shows on it.

Japan Grand Prix '01: Etsuko Mita vs. Miho Wakizawa (5:20). Fine, but barely more than a squash for Mita. Miho got a run of missile dropkicks but that was about it. **. Kaoru Ito & Mika Nishio vs. Momoe Nakanishi & Kayo Noumi (16:42). Some comedy and low level stuff from Noumi and Nishio. Nishio didn’t look too good and Noumi couldn’t do much other than amuse Ito. Ito got into it with Momoe and they were having a good run, Momoe missed the turnbuckle for her moonsault and her and Ito cracked up. Fun match. **1/2. Nanae Takahashi & Miyuki Fujii vs. Yumiko Hotta & Manami Toyota (15:38). This was a lot less fun at least in the first half, just a low effort one sided squash. Got better in the last 5 minutes. Toyota loves to steal the show no matter how small it is so she still busted out some good spots later in the match and it got more competitive then. **1/4. Japan Grand Prix '01: Tomoko Watanabe vs. Kumiko Maekawa (11:48). This would be the low effort dojo match that just ended up being a drag. It was still adequate but nothing more than that. **

Japan Grand Prix '01: Kayo Noumi vs. Miyuki Fujii (11:16). You’d expect a nothing match from these two, and they delivered. A whole lot of stretching and a few moves at the end. *. Japan Grand Prix '01: Kaoru Ito vs. Nanae Takahashi (14:11). Ito’s eye was all fucked up from the Toughill fight, she was a mess. That didn’t stop her from delivering a solid match though. Ito worked a slower paced and more basic match to what you normally get from her, but her intensity and hard hitting made it a decent one. **1/2. Japan Grand Prix '01: Manami Toyota vs. Miho Wakizawa (7:05). Short match with plenty of spots, started out well and lost some steam as it went on. Mho managed to pull out a fluke win. **1/4. Tomoko Watanabe & Momoe Nakanishi vs. Yumiko Hotta & Kumiko Maekawa (13:22). Momoe kept this interesting, while Hotta and Maekawa were keeping it uninteresting. Watanabe got her cut from two days earlier reopened, she was good but she didn’t do much other than get beat on. **1/4. Momo Latch cam on the bus and other places closed out the tape, I’m sure this would’ve been a lot of fun if I could understand any of it.

Withdrawal Symptoms
You may experience a number of withdrawal symptoms, both physical and psychological. Keep in mind that all humans are affected differently and experiences with symptoms will differ among us.Physical Withdrawal Symptoms
The most common physical withdrawal symptoms experienced are outlined below.Restless Leg Syndrome
Also known as RLS, this is the most common symptom of withdrawal. It can be described as an irresistible urge to move one's body to stop uncomfortable or odd sensations. It most commonly affects the legs, but can also affect the arms, torso, and head. Moving the affected body part modulates the sensations, providing temporary relief. On average, this symptom will be almost entirely gone by day 7.Insomnia
As you would expect with RLS, insomnia is another commonly experienced withdrawal symptom. Lack of sleep usually occurs due to RLS, but it can continue even without RLS present.Uncontrollable Body Temperature
This withdrawal symptom can be common, yet not as common as the two above. This symptom causes the body to experience drastic changes in temperature within a short period of time. This probably sounds much worse than it really is, but during the day it is fine. At night it involves being cold, putting the covers over you, then being really warm and throwing all the covers off.Other symptoms
In addition to the above, you may experience a runny nose, teary eyes, sneezing, diarrhea, and an aching body. These are generally not a major problem. For diarrhea, loperamide can help (see below). For aches and pains, OTC pain relievers such as Advil can be useful.Psychological Withdrawal Symptoms
Commonly referred to as PAWS (Post Acute Withdrawal Symptoms). Usually the psychological withdrawals tend to kick in after the physical withdrawals have passed. Described below are the most common psychological withdrawals that are experienced.Lethargy
The lack of energy and enthusiasm is the most common psychological withdrawal experienced. This symptom can be minor for some, but it is quite commonly major. Although ironic, a good remedy for this lethargic feeling is exercise. It may be hard to get exercising initially due to the lethargy, but many people experience a huge improvement in their mood afterwards.Cravings
Cravings are quite commonly experienced by addicts withdrawing from Kratom. Major cravings can cause addicts to relapse if the impulse is acted upon. Usually cravings don't last too long, and they seem to come in waves. Psychologically, cravings can play with your mind. You may find yourself thinking things like "I'll just take it this once, I've already made the decision to quit so I won't do it again".Depression
Depression can play a big part in relapse when it comes to recovery from Kratom addiction. Although some users have existing mood disorders or depression, the PAWS during Kratom withdrawal hugely amplify these feelings/mindsets. Expect to experience some mild to moderate depressed feelings during PAWS and prepare your mind to acknowledge that these feelings are caused by the Kratom withdrawal. You WILL feel better. Once again exercise is a HUGE help to mitigate the depression experienced during withdrawal. It has been proven that regular exercise is as effective than the most common anti-depressants.Taper vs. Cold Turkey
While one method may work for some, it may not work for another. We are all different and unique in many ways, including the way our body reacts to (lack of) substances.Tapering
Tapering has been tried many times by different people. Some found tapering helpful, others did not. The main advantages of tapering are:- Little to no physical withdrawals symptoms.
- Not as big of a shock on the body.
- Doesn't affect your day-to-day life as drastically as cold turkey (if you can't take time off work or don't have a weekend free).
- Requires a lot of self control and discipline.
- Easy to make an impulse decision to take more than your schedule planned.
- Although it may not impact your day-to-day life as drastically as cold turkey, the impact will be longer and more drawn out.
Cold Turkey
The cold turkey method seems to be the more preferable method as well as the most successful. The main advantages are:- Getting it over and done with, no drawn out symptoms.
- Improvement is felt much sooner since the withdrawals are not drawn out.
- Day-to-day life is not affected for as long as it would be tapering.
- Physical withdrawal symptoms that are taxing on the body.
- The withdrawals are much worse over a short period of time compared to tapering.
Managing Your Withdrawals
There are a few tried and tested methods to dealing with various withdrawals symptoms. They are described below.Exercise
The most effective way to make yourself feel better. It has been proven that regular exercise is as effective than the most common anti-depressants. The effects are very profound, and can remain present for hours. Exercise releases a flood of endorphins, directly stimulating your opioid receptors the same way Kratom does, reducing both physical and psychological withdrawal symptoms. Regular exercise will hasten the recovery process by bringing your body's endorphin system back online. It can be difficult to get started, but if you force yourself, you should find that it gets easier after only a few minutes as your heart starts pumping and the endorphins start flowing. Heavy weightlifting is one of the most efficient methods, in terms of benefits vs. time spent, but prolonged cardiovascular activity (jogging, bicycling, etc.) is also effective. Intense yoga is another option.Orgasm
When you stop taking Kratom, your sex drive may return with a vengeance. Take advantage of it :). Orgasm, like exercise, causes a release of endorphins.Meditation
It can be difficult when you are uncomfortable and your mind is racing, but a few minutes of meditation can significantly improve the way you feel. Close your eyes, and let your thoughts flow without trying to control or resist them. Take slow deep breaths, focusing on each inhale and exhale. Try not to think about anything else, but if a thought arises, let it be. Visualize each inhalation as bringing healing energy into your body, and each exhalation as removing negativity. Continue until you feel better, or longer, and repeat the process anytime you feel overwhelmed. Check out /meditation for great tips on meditation.Supplements
Loperamide
Warning, kratom and loperamide.. We don't know if loperamide (in the recommended dosage for diarrhea (https://www.drugs.com/dosage/loperamide.html)) combined with kratom has health risks (in particular heart issues at higher doses), or people could start to abuse it. It had been reported that even the recommended loperamide doses can cause a rebound of withdrawal symptoms after you stop using it . Therfore we don't recommend to use loperamide. Other warnings: At recommended doses, the half-life of loperamide is approximately 10 hours. However, with higher doses, even as little as 16 mg, longer half-lives have been observed (upwards of 41 hours). News videos: "it's actually potentially even worse than using heroin...", "Kratom and Loperamide is a dangerous combination".Supplements
There are a number of drugs and supplements that can improve mood, motivation, and sleep quality. Most of those listed are naturally derived, and many can be easily obtained at such locations as GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, pharmacies, and "natural" grocery stores, as well as online at sites like AllStarHealth, Bodybuilding.com, and Amazon.- Black seed oil. some qk members reported that they used 3 x 2 teaspoons daily at the beginning.
- L-theanine: Found in green tea, this substance has a calming effect and improves cognition. Useful both during the day and to help with sleep.
- Ashwagandha: The "Indian ginseng," Ashwagandha is an adaptogen that improves overall well-being. Like L-theanine, can be used both day and night. "In anxiety and depression, ashwagandha has been demonstrated to be as effective as some tranquilizers and antidepressant drugs. Specifically, oral administration of ashwagandha for five days suggested anxiety-relieving effects similar to those achieved by the anti-anxiety drug lorazepam (Ativan®), and antidepressant effects similar to those of the prescription antidepressant drug imipramine (Tofranil®)": look here.
- Rhodiola rosea: Another adaptogen, this one has mild stimulating qualities (but without the jitters of caffeine). Best taken during the day. (Warning: Rhodiola has MAOI activity and could potentially interact with other meds/supplements. Be careful, do your research, and start with small amounts.)
- DLPA: A combination of the natural "L" form and the synthetic "D" form of the amino acid phenylalanine, DLPA has been shown to fight depression and reduce pain by boosting dopamine levels and preventing the breakdown of enkephalins (similar to endorphins).
- L-tyrosine: boosts dopamine.
- L-phenylalanine: Try L-tyrosine first. If the results are not satisfactory try L-phenylalanine.
- Valerian root: Sleep aid. Smells terrible but can be rather effective. Common in "sleepy" teas.
- 5-HTP: Precursor to serotonin. Improves mood and sleep. People who are taking antidepressant medications should not take 5-HTP, because in that case common side effects are : *Agitation or restlessness *Confusion *Rapid heart rate and high blood pressure *Dilated pupils *Loss of muscle coordination or twitching muscles *Heavy sweating *Diarrhea *Headache *Shivering *goosebumbs"
- Tryptophan: (propably superior to 5-HTP).
- SAM-e: Is a quick acting antidepressant.
- Chamomile and passion flower: These two herbs, widely available as teas, can help with anxiety and insomnia. At least one ex-Kratom addict has reported that, in does of 2-4 teabags, they can be very effective. WARNING: Passion flower is a MAO inhibitor, don't use it together with kratom.
- Melatonin: The body's sleep hormone, used for regulating the sleep/wake cycle. Tells the body that it's time to sleep. Taking too much (more than a milligram or two) can screw up the body's circadian rhythm and have the opposite of the intended effect. Good in combination with valerian root and 5-HTP. Some feel very groggy after taking melatonin.
- Kava: An herb that reduces anxiety, but can be hit-or-miss when it comes to sleep.
- Chocolate: Contains phenethylamine, which reduces anxiety and improves mood and cognition. Buy a generous amount of dark chocolate with a high cacao concentration, and eat as much of it as you want. The more, the better. Alternatively, phenethylamine is available as a supplement.
- Magnesium: Helps with sleep. Many people believe that Calcium needs to be taking with Magnesium for absorption, but this is not true. Calcium and Magnesium actually compete for the same transport system into the blood so it is better to take them at different times during the day. The only time this competition is eliminated is in the case where calcium and magnesium are bound to a single amino acid and are called calcium and magnesium amino acid chelates, as opposed to calcium carbonate/citrate or magnesium oxide/citrate. Minerals in the amino acid chelate form have double the absorption rate of calcium carbonate and magnesium oxide because they do not have to be altered in order to enter the bloodstream. Source.
- Cannabis: Given its legal status, not everybody is able or willing to obtain it, but cannabis can potentially aid with a wide spectrum of withdrawal symptoms. Indica-dominant strains are recommended for insomnia and anxiety, while Sativas are better suited for improving mood, motivation, and appetite. (However, it should be noted that Sativas can worsen anxiety in some cases.) Medical dispensaries, if you have access, are the best option due to the wide variety of strains available. If you have had problems with other drugs or drug substitution in the past, it is advised not to use Cannabis after quitting Kratom as it may lead to another substitution.
Prescription drugs
In addition, there are various prescription drugs that can be of assistance. The ones listed below are prescription-only. These are not necessarily recommended; do your research before considering them. Be especially careful if you are taking any psychiatric prescriptions, such as SSRIs, MAOIs, or Wellbutrin. The following information is not a substitute for medical advice. Always consult your doctor. [We do not recommend to use this medications together with Kratom].- Gabapentin: Gabapentin is an epilepsy and nerve pain drug, which is also prescribed for the restless leg syndrome. The drug acts as a sedative. It also helps with sleep and gives you energy. Don't abuse it, gabapentin causes a withdrawal syndrome if you use it for too long (use it maximal 5-6 days). Drug experts say the effects of using gabapentin for long periods of time or in very high quantities, particularly among sensitive populations like pregnant women, are not well-known. Attention:"treatment with gabapentin is associated with a substantial increase in the risk of opioid-related death".
- Clonidine: Due to its lack of abuse potential, doctors will generally not hesitate to prescribe it for a patient undergoing withdrawals. Clonidine can "stop" an opioid withdrawal relatively effectively, which is (simplified) due to the following mode of action: Adrenaline docks onto two receptors when released: α1 and α2. Clonidine docks onto α2-adrenergic receptors and “blocks” them. Also lowering blood pressure, works against the "adrenaline rush". Clonidine has an idiosyncrasy, i.e. the first dose of the active ingredient triggers an effect opposite to the actual effect !. Clonidine doses must be slowly increased, starting at a low dose. It should also be noted that clonidine must not be discontinued immediately; the dose has to be slowly reduced, because otherwise there can be a blood pressure crisis - with an already destabilized blood pressure (due to withdrawal), extreme caution is required here and we strongly recommend that treatment with clonidine is only carried out under medical supervision. Existing depression can be exacerbated or a new depression can be triggered by using clonidine. Existing depression can be exacerbated or a new depression can be triggered by using clonidine.
- Modafinil/adrafinil (Provigil, Nuvigil): [Warning: Do not use Modafinil together with Kratom (it may cause seizures)] A unique, non-euphoric stimulant, used to treat narcolepsy, shift-work disorders, and by Air Force pilots as a replacement for amphetamine. This drug, at levels of 100-200mg per day, can relieve the malaise and lack of motivation associated with withdrawal. Should not be taken within 12 hours of bedtime. While Modafinil is under Schedule IV in the US, Adrafinil, which metabolizes to Modafinil in the liver, is unscheduled and can be easily purchased.
- Selegiline (L-deprenyl): A MAO-B inhibitor used to treat Parkinson's, this drug increases levels of dopamine in the brain and has been shown to increase lifespan in rats. Unlike traditional MAOIs, selegiline does not require dietary restrictions, and is generally considered quite safe at levels of 5-10mg. Do not take near bedtime. Unscheduled in the US. .
Stem and Vein Kratom
Although total alkaloid levels are lower than in leaf, there is supposedly relatively more mitragynine present in S&V. The levels of mitraphylline, rhynchophylline (related to mitragynine) and corynantheidine are higher. In kratom communities on the internet it is sometimes reported that S&V can reduce tolerance to kratom, but this seems not to be the case. Anecdotal reports claim that S&V can be useful for mitigating withdrawal symptoms, and accelerating the brain's recovery from kratom addiction. Relapse is a normal part of recovery. It has happened to every single one of us. Try not to beat yourself up about it or feel like you are worthless and useless. That doesn't help a thing. It is just a small bump in your road to recovery. All you can do is get back up, dust yourself off and get back to quitting as soon as you are ready.
