He is the one whom The Prophet (PBUH) bequeathed his inheritance to and recommended to fulfill his words; therefore, The Prophet (PBUH) appointed him as his successor for his people and left his secrets with him. As a consequence, only he is The Prophetโ€™s successor and more appropriate than all of you for that position, since he is the master of Allahโ€™s friends, the successor of the seal of the prophets, the best of the pious and the most obedient to the Lord ofworlds. In The Prophetโ€™s lifetime [on the day of Ghadir Khumm] you greeted him with the title โ€˜emirโ€™. Therefore, excuse he who just gave you a word of warning, since it was aimed at giving an ultimatum to you and he who advised you wished good on you and made the blind able to see; thus you heard, observed and testified all that as we did.โ€™ Hereupon, Abd-ur Rahman bin โ€˜Owf๏ผŒAbu โ€˜Obaydat-obnol Jarrah and Maโ€™azobno Jabal said, โ€˜0 Obay! Have you become insane or frantic?โ€™ He replied, โ€˜You are insane. By Allah, one day I was with the messenger of Allah (PBUH) and saw him speaking with someone whom I could just hear not see. Addressing his words to The Prophet (PBUH), he said, โ€˜What a well-wishing man he is to you and Ummah! And he is the most knowledgeable about your Sunnah.๏ผŒ The Prophet (PBUH) stated โ€˜Do you think people obey him after me?โ€™ He said, โ€˜0 Mohammad! The good ones of your people will follow him and the evildoers will disobey him. It has also been the case with the prophets prior to you and their friends. O Mohammad! Moses appointed Joshua as guardian since he was the most knowledgeable, god-fearing and obedient to Allah; Allah had ordered Moses to appoint him as guardian, as you are ordered by Allah to appoint Ali as guardian. After Moses had been ordered as such, descendents of Israel, in particular Mosesโ€™ son, felt envious, and then cursed, swore at, and treated him harshly and left him alone. If they follow the footsteps of descendents of Israel, they will reject your guardian and deny him, and divest
him of caliphate and find fault with his knowledge.โ€™ Then, I asked The Prophet (PBUH) who he was. The Prophet (PBUH) stated โ€˜He was one of the angles of my Lord, the Almighty and Glorious, who informed me that people would oppose Ali bin Abi-Talib. I recommend you, Obay, that if you protect him you will be blessed. Incumbent upon you is obedience to Ali, since he is both guiding and guided. He wishes the best on my people and will revive my Sunnah. He is your leader after me; thus, he who agrees with it will meet me in the Heaven as he departs me. O Obay! He who brings about a change in it will meet me as someone who has broken his pledge, rebelled against me and denied my prophethood; neither will I intercede with Allah on his behalf, nor will I give him water from the Pond.โ€ Then, a group of Ansar stood up and said, โ€˜O Obay! Sit down! May Allah bless you! You enunciate what you had heard and fulfilled your pledge

I find myself feeling a lot of allegories to heroic icons who may not have been perfect people that should be emulated and some who were miscast as the heroes they never were despite their original claim to glory (I especially feel this way about Christopher Columbus, even though I still love the name the dude was terribly miscast as a person who should've been considered a hero let alone a name day person)
But with Jebediah, I honestly feel like some things he might have done were in fact good, I don't have much proof to the point as he's sort of not touched on but I do feel like he must've done something that tried to make amends for his criminal ways, though I do still think he never fully cared about his past evil deeds as shown, I still think he may have done some good for Springfield.
If anything I do find the quote "A noble spirit embiggens the smallest man" to be a worthy quote that can hold inspiration to do good.
Honestly, I think I take away the most from this episode that in spite of a controversial person you can still find something that you can take from them that can help others you care for. Maybe that's all that matters when it comes to miscast heroes.

Georgina Beyer knows all about breaking barriers โ€“ becoming the first transgender MP in the world. But what is her biggest regret as a Mฤori MP in Parliament?
โ€œA disaster, an absolute nightmareโ€ฆ it was one of the largest proposed confiscations from Mฤori, in modern timesโ€.
The former Labour Party MP describes the fallout over the Foreshore and Seabed legislation to Matangireia presenter Scott Campbell.
Beyer never shies away from the painful path she took to becoming one of New Zealandโ€™s most trailblazing politicians.
Beyerโ€™s list of achievements are extensive โ€“ a drag queen, a sex worker, an actor, an activist, a Mayor, and a MP.
In fact, when elected in 1999, she was the worldโ€™s first transgender Member of Parliament, becoming known for her bold and colourful exterior.
But her story is one of pain, adversity, and fear โ€“ and itโ€™s also one of courage and bravery.
Beyer was born George. Her biological father was a policeman who was sent to jail, leaving her mother to fend for herself and two young children.
Raised by her grandparents, until her mother remarried, she describes life in the Beyer household as โ€œmildly well-offโ€. Her stepfather Colin was a barrister and solicitor.
From around four years old, Beyer started to secretly express her feminine side through theatre, dressing up and acting.
โ€œIf I was caught or discovered, or anything like that, it would be dealt with physical punishment, corporal punishment โ€“ beatings, hidings, things like that, to beat it out of me.โ€
At 16 years old, George became Georgina, but the abuse followed her from home to the streets.
As a sex worker, she was confronted daily with physical and verbal abuse from members of the public.
โ€œIt drove me to suicideโ€ฆ to attempt suicide on three times, in my young life,โ€ Beyer said, โ€œI had been pack-raped in Sydney in 1979, which was a terrifying, horrifying experience, and the law didnโ€™t defend me.โ€

After working in a gay night club in Auckland, she moved from the glitzy lights of Karangahape Road to conservative back blocks of the Wairarapa.
It was in Carterton Beyerโ€™s career in politics began.
Working as a part-time radio announcer (alongside Paul Henry, who she later beat in the 1999 General Election), she decided to run for council.
She missed out, but she tried again, and again. Eventually becoming a councillor and, in 1995, the Mayor of Carterton.
โ€œIโ€™m the Mayor, okay, whereโ€™s the handbook on this job?โ€ she said, โ€œThere isnโ€™t any, but I now was in this position and I thrived in it, absolutely thrived in it.โ€
Being eloquent and not afraid to speak her mind, Parliament beckoned next.
Standing for the Labour Party in 1999, Beyer won the safe blue seat of Wairarapa with a majority of 3,033 votes. She was the first transgender woman elected to office.
However, in 2004, she faced one of the toughest challenges of her life. To choose her party, or her people.
โ€œOh, a disaster, an absolute nightmareโ€.
The Government, under Helen Clark, had just announced the Foreshore and Seabed legislation, effectively removing Mฤori claims to ownership over beaches and waterways.
The news came as a shock to the Labour Partyโ€™s Mฤori caucus.
โ€œWe were all quite taken aback that an announcement had been made, with no consultation with anyone in the Mฤori caucus.
โ€œAt the end of day, it was one of the largest proposed confiscations from Mฤori in modern timesโ€.
One by one, the Mฤori caucus โ€œfell into lineโ€. The last three to do so were Beyer, Nanaia Mahuta, and Tariana Turia.
Beyer didnโ€™t hold a Mฤori constituency and felt she had no mandate from Mฤori to speak up strongly on their behalf like the rest of her Mฤori colleagues.
โ€œI was just so torn, but actually I didnโ€™t have to be steeped in tikanga Mฤori to understand that this was wrong, wrong, wrong.
โ€œI vowed and declared from that time on that I would never be torn between who and what I am as far as my heritage is concerned, and political expediencyโ€.
So, what did she think of the former Prime Minister Helen Clark?
โ€œI was never very close to Helen, at all, really,โ€ Beyer said.
"I was not within her inner, outer, or extra-outer circle, really. I was just a cannon fodder backbench MPโ€.
She became further isolated when she asked to abstain from the vote.
โ€œI can almost pinpoint my beginning of the end of my political career in Parliament on that Foreshore and Seabed thing. I felt defeated and I felt impotent.โ€
But that wasnโ€™t the end.
She stayed for another two years traveling to Parliaments across the world to talk on gender issues.
Reflecting on her story today, sheโ€™s proud of the road sheโ€™s taken.
โ€œYou canโ€™t live in your victim-hood all the time, you canโ€™t wallow in it, you gotta learn from it. Move on and change it and change what created that."

Sex work and politics are pretty much the same trade, according to Georgina Beyer at least. During her time as an MP, she would strut through the halls of parliament, calling her comrades to arms by asking them if they were all ready to โ€œget out on the streets and sell their buttsโ€. They didnโ€™t seem to fancy that comparison very much. โ€œLook, honey, youโ€™re soliciting yourself either way,โ€ she told me over the phone, chuckling. โ€œOneโ€™s just for votes, the other for money. One advertises on billboards, the other advertises in the back pages of The Dominion Post.โ€
If there was anyone who could speak to the overlap of these very specific sets of skills, itโ€™s Beyer. The worldโ€™s first transgender mayor who went on to be the worldโ€™s first elected transgender member of parliament, as well as a former sex worker, screen actress, and kidney transplant survivor, sheโ€™s lived a thousand lives to get to where she is today โ€“ right now, she is in the Wellington suburb of Kilbirnie, on the phone to me, an ex-Wairarapa kid who grew up under her groundbreaking reign back in the late 90s.
I asked her how things have changed for the LGBTQIA+ community in her lifetime. โ€œWhen I started transitioning, I quickly realised that it was a cruel world for people like us. I had to go down avenues I would never have considered.โ€ Unable to get a โ€˜realโ€™ job, or any benefits outside of claiming a โ€œpsychosexual disorderโ€ for the sickness benefit, she felt like she had no choice but to join the sex industry. โ€œIt was a brutal time, but there was a strange camaraderie in that nobody else would support us, not even our government institutions.โ€
One night in Sydney in 1979, Beyer was sexually assaulted by a group of men. โ€œPeople asked me why I didnโ€™t report it to the police. As if the law was going to protect me? A Mฤori tranny prostitute? Yeah, right.โ€ Following the traumatic attack, Georgina found herself depressed and near suicide for months. โ€œOnce I got out the other end, it gave me a real fire in my belly. That shouldnโ€™t have happened to me. That shouldnโ€™t happen to anyone without being taken seriously.โ€ She swore that she would try and change attitudes by example, which meant living a proud, public life as a trans woman.
It was the goal of visibility that drove Georgina to pursue a pre-politics acting career, including the 1985 film Jewelโ€™s Darl, where she played a trans prostitute. โ€œFor the time, that was quite unusual, to look at people like us not as caricatures, but real people with real lives.โ€ Although she burned all of her old belongings the night she transitioned, Georgina didnโ€™t completely erase what she calls โ€œthe other parts of meโ€. โ€œMen tend to forget that I can still access the same psyche as them. If they want to come down hard with the firm, staunch, brow-beating thing, well, I can play that game too, baby.โ€
Decades after her time working in the sex industry, Georgina found herself campaigning for prostitution reform in parliament. Given her own experience, she was shocked at some of the misconceptions held by the public around sex work. โ€œThey thought it was all deviants and not their husbands, their brothers, their uncles โ€“ itโ€™s ordinary people.โ€ As, unsurprisingly, the only former sex worker in the house, her speech to the chamber changed the minds of three MPs, passing the legislation that would decriminalise sex work. โ€œIt was the thinnest bloody margin you could have, but we got there in the end.โ€
So how in the flaming hell did a conservative, white, scarecrow-festival-hosting, mid-90s Wairarapa vote to become one of the wokest places in the world? โ€œI think I was just a breath of fresh air. What people responded to was honesty, being straight up, being approachable โ€“ I would go to everything from a bloody party in a woolshed to judging sheep races out at Castle Point.โ€ Carterton became known for something more than daffodils, and the more traditional locals slowly learned to โ€œlook beyond the end of their noses.โ€
When she made the decision to run for Labour in the Wairarapa in 1999, Beyer didnโ€™t actually think she had a chance in hell of winning. She wasnโ€™t being humble โ€“ nobody else did either. Although she had been the mayor of Carterton for five years, the Wairarapa was a National Party stronghold, and her opposing candidate was a plucky, popular radio host by the name of Paul Henry. He questioned her ability to be โ€œserious personโ€ because she was trans. โ€œI thought Iโ€™d just have some fun and kick a few buttsโ€ Georgina recalled. โ€œBugger me! Look what happened!โ€
Georgina won with a 3000+ vote majority, making Paul Henry officially kicked in the butt and making her, officially, a โ€œseriousโ€ public figure. Local attitudes had evolved, best summarised by the elderly farmer who had previously voted National all his life. โ€œThis year Iโ€™m voting for Georgina Beyer,โ€ he was quoted in her documentary Georgie Girl, โ€œbecause sheโ€™s a damn good chap.โ€ Did she mind the misgendering? โ€œIf that was the only way a conservative 80 year-old farmer was be able to absorb and accept me, then Iโ€™m happy with that. Thatโ€™s still progress.โ€
Although she has regrets from her eight years in parliament โ€“ her stance on foreshore and seabed was a โ€œmistakeโ€ that marked โ€œthe beginning of the endโ€ of her political career โ€“ Beyer stands by her contribution to the Civil Union bill and prostitution reform. โ€œYou have to remember: law is easy to change, attitudes throughout a country are not. It takes generations and role models to show the nation that weโ€™re not the horrible, demented, crazy people they might think we are.โ€ The work is far from done yet, with Beyerโ€™s latest focus on applying to the Waitangi Tribunal to get Takatฤpui included in the Human Rights Act.
I asked Beyer if she still encountered prejudice in her life, or the hangover of trans-exclusionary attitudes from fellow women. โ€œPeople still regard the gender thing as being relatively recent in our modern history, but weโ€™ve been around for millennia. Faโ€™afafine. Takatฤpui. When you have words in languages to include us, that should send a message that this didnโ€™t happen last week.โ€ What about the TERF mindset that still lingers in some modern day feminists, that reckons trans women arenโ€™t real women? โ€œItโ€™s an old, lazy argument. Donโ€™t worry about us encroaching on your world. Weโ€™re just trying to improve our lot in this life, just like the womenโ€™s movement did for you.โ€
To anyone, young or old, who might currently be questioning their own gender identity, her expert advice is to access professional information as soon as possible, and to seek out like-minded groups of people in the community. โ€œYou are going to need people to give you moral support, who think the same as you and know what you are going through. Donโ€™t be afraid, there are far too many young trans people who are dying through suicide because they feel like this world isnโ€™t built for them anymore.โ€ Georgina paused for a moment as her voice cracked.
โ€œIt is, baby. It is.โ€
Although she has now retired from the political sphere, Beyer remains inspired by young LGBTQIA+ activists continuing the fight for access to healthcare, work and education. She admits that she never thought trans and gender issues would ever be taken seriously in her lifetime, and quickly slipped back into that same, rousing cadence that made her speeches so famous in the chamber. โ€œI have spent the better part of my life trying to make things better for this generation. My faith now lies with this younger generation to stand on my shoulders, just as I stood on the shoulders of those who went before me. Iโ€™ve done my bit to move the needle, now itโ€™s your turn.โ€
As for everyone else? โ€œThey need to just shut up and let us get on with being who we are.โ€

Turns out that was the date that the Zodiac Killer had claimed their 7th and final victim in San Fransico.

ALSO while we don't have a specific end date to the show, we have a year: 1974. That year on January 29th, The Exorcist Letter was sent to the San Francisco Chronicle, the same place the zodiac killer sent proof of the victim's death in 1969. Here's a quote from the real letter that also relates to the idea of Wally being possessed.
