2023.03.24 14:25 Supersalty99 “It’s like this is my do-over”
I heard the words come out of my mothers mouth and now everything she does with my son makes me sick. A little backstory, my fiancé, myself, and our child live with my mother right now to save money since the housing market is so high. It’s what made the most sense so we could buy a house sooner. One night, my mom and I were up talking and she slipped in the comment that having my son around was “like her do-over”. She wasn’t a good parent to me throughout childhood and only recently has become a “mother” I basically raised myself. She didn’t start being a mom to me until I was almost an adult, even then she was more of a friend rather than a mother. I was frequently neglected or passed off onto my grandparents and they’re the closest things I have to actual parents. So when my mom said that my son was her do-over it broke me into a million tiny pieces and I finally noticed everything. She constantly calls him “her baby” she will buy him stuff, and later throw in our face that “she provided most everything for him” she tells me what to do with him when shes home(i.e “feed him this, he’s hungry.” “Clean off his high chair first” “pick him up”) basically constantly telling me what to do with him while we’re home. In public she always tries to push the cart or stroller. The other night she tried to get me to put him in the shower with her instead of putting him in his own bath. I don’t even shower with him. It feels like she treats me like I’m the babysitter for my OWN baby. She treats him with love and care and compassion, and while I’m glad because my son deserves that and more, my inner child is screaming and crying and angry because I deserve(d) that. I do EVERYTHING for my child, I never pass him onto anyone else, never ask for help. I give him so much love and patience. I think I’m a good mom. I don’t work days so I’m with him every hour he’s awake. It just makes me so mad because he’s getting the version of my mom that I deserved. The stable version. The loving version. The version of her that didn’t spend weekends in the bar or money on alcohol and drugs. I feel like she is overstepping her place as a grandma. And i dont know if it’s because I’m delusional due to trauma, or if she really is overstepping. Help.

2023.03.24 14:23 SouthNagsHead PETA wanted Murdaugh Hunting Trophies, Turtle-Shell Lamps to be Donated instead of Sold
| The Island Packet - PETA asks for Murdaugh animal trophies for sale be donated Hilton Head Island Packet https://preview.redd.it/es0kswevuopa1.png?width=1140&format=png&auto=webp&s=35c8aca9f9df5f77b97076d0ba41acc3c1e1249e Hours before items once owned by the Murdaugh family were to be auctioned off, PETA asked that hunting trophies and other items it considered questionable be donated to its own museum. The sale was scheduled to be held Thursday evening by Liberty Auctions, an auction house in Pembroke, Georgia, showcasing several items including a leather sofa set, dishware, and other furniture that previously belonged to the family of convicted murderer Alex Murdaugh. Some of the items included turtle-shell lamps and various mounted hunting trophies, including more than a dozen deer antler mounts, which caught the attention of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, an organization known for its protests against animal cruelty and mistreatment. Ingrid Newkirk, the organization’s president, sent a letter Thursday to Liberty Auction owner Lori Mattingly asking her to reconsider putting the items for sale. Instead, Newkirk said in the letter, the items should instead be donated to PETA’s Museum of Atrocities Against Animals. “Violence should have no place in our society, and we’re hoping you’ll donate the tortoise-shell lamps, mounted heads, and other decorations created at the expense of animals’ lives,” Newkirk said in the letter. “Your donation would help educate people about the trade in exotic-animal parts and hunting and encourage them to value kindness over cruelty.” https://preview.redd.it/q4h5puhsuopa1.png?width=1140&format=png&auto=webp&s=8b962a0d65de65cbe585515e8b0d8d8eeb2fde86 PETA officials have been working on the museum, which is “meant to educate,” for the past few years and are still compiling items for its collection, said spokesperson Ashley Byrne. Some items already cataloged include a monkey fur coat, circus whips and photos documenting PETA investigations into fur farms. “I really do think we should give thought to how future generations will view our treatment of animals,” Byrne said. “It’s a worthwhile project because our values have already changed a lot in regard to how we treat animals, and they will continue to change.” PETA had not heard back from Mattingly or Liberty Auctions as of Thursday afternoon. Get unlimited digital access A representative from Liberty Auctions could not immediately be reached for comment about PETA’s request. MURDAUGH BACKGROUND Alex Murdaugh, whose prominent family created a legal dynasty in South Carolina’s Lowcountry for over a century, was given two life sentences earlier this month for killing his wife and son, Maggie and Paul Murdaugh, in June 2021. His attorneys, Dick Harpootlian and Jim Griffin, have filed a notice of appeal with the courts. Murdaugh also faces charges for over 100 financial crimes for money stolen from clients he represented as an attorney and from the law firm where he worked and that his family started. The trial garnered nationwide media attention and documentaries from several media giants including CNN, HBO and Netflix. In addition to the murders, the multi-episode series also focus on the deaths of people close to the family including the family housekeeper, Gloria Satterfield; Mallory Beach, Paul Murdaugh’s classmate who died in a 2019 boat crash; and Stephen Smith, a classmate of Murdaugh’s oldest son, Buster, who was previously thought to have died in a 2015 hit-and-run. Beach’s family has filed a multimillion-dollar wrongful death lawsuit against several Murdaugh family members and Parker’s gas station for allegedly selling alcohol the day of the crash to Paul Murdaugh while he was underage. A trial for the lawsuit is set to begin on Aug. 14. Earlier this week, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division said it now considers Smith’s death a homicide and the investigation is ongoing. In a statement via his lawyers earlier this week, Buster Murdaugh denied any involvement in Smith’s death. A GoFundMe set up by the Smith family to raise money to perform an independent exhumation of the 19-year-old’s body and start a new investigation has raised over $100,000 of its $15,000 goal as of Thursday. submitted by SouthNagsHead to MurdaughFamilyMurders [link] [comments] |
2023.03.24 14:23 Logical-Possible-846 Top 10 Best Wi-Fi Router
Figuring out what the best router for your needs can be complicated. We've tested the top Wi-Fi router brands so you can find the right one for your needs.
Take a look at this list:
https://quizience.com/best-wi-fi-routers-for-2022/
TP-Link Archer AX21
Best budget router
Wi-Fi Standard
Wi-Fi 6
Speed Rating
AX1800
Range
Up to 2,500 sq. ft.
Wireless Networking Security
WPA3
Bands
Dual-Band (2.4 and 5GHz)
Available for $100 (or less if you catch a sale), the TP-Link Archer AX21 is an entry-level, dual-band Wi-Fi 6 router that supports top speeds of up to 1,201Mbps (1.2Gbps) on its 5GHz band. It's nothing fancy, but it offered near flawless performance for small- to medium-size homes in our tests, and it's a cinch to setup and use thanks to TP-Link's Tether app.
Best of all, when tested against other, similar routers from names like Asus and Netgear, the AX21 held its own with faster download speeds, better range, and low latency, too. Add in a functional bandsteering mode that automatically steers you between the 2.4 and 5GHz bands within a single network, plus guest network controls and even a quality of service engine for prioritizing traffic to the most important devices on your network, and you're looking at a decent home networking upgrade that's as simple and affordable as it gets. It isn't powerful enough to max out speeds on a gigabit network, but it can still hit consistent close-range speeds near 700Mbps or so, which is more than enough for most households. Read our TP-Link Archer AX21 review.
Linksys Hydra Pro 6 (MR5500)
Best midrange router
Wi-Fi Standard
Wi-Fi 6
Speed Rating
AX5400
Range
Up to 2,700 sq. ft.
Wireless Networking Security
WPA2, WPA3
Bands
Dual-Band (2.4 and 5GHz)
If you've already got a budget router running your network and you're ready to upgrade to something more powerful, the Linksys Hydra Pro 6 belongs high on your list. With a dual-band, AX5400 build, full support for Wi-Fi 6, and 160MHz channel support for moving data more efficiently, it was an excellent performer in my speed tests, even managing to outperform flashier picks like the also great Asus RT-AX86U.
The Hydra Pro 6 is a touch pricey as dual-band routers go, but the steady, consistent performance makes it a standout. Try and catch it on sale if you can, but if you just want a reliable, no-frills router that can keep up with gigabit speeds, look no further. Read our Linksys Hydra Pro 6 review.
TP-Link Deco W7200
Best mesh router overall
Wi-Fi Standard
Wi-Fi 6
Speed Rating
AX3600
Range
Up to 5,500 sq. ft. (two devices)
Wireless Networking Security
WPA2, WPA3
Bands
Tri-Band (2.4 and two 5GHz)
For the best performance from your mesh router, you'll want to prioritize getting one with support for Wi-Fi 6, plus a tri-band design that includes three separate bands of traffic: the usual 2.4 and 5GHz bands, plus an additional 5GHz band that the system can use as a dedicated wireless backhaul for transmissions between the router and its satellites. Most mesh routers like that cost at least $300 or even $400, but the TP-Link Deco W7200 gets you there for less than $250.
That's the best deal I've seen for a tri-band mesh router with support for Wi-Fi 6 -- and sure enough, it's an excellent performer, as well. In fact, the only system that managed to outperform it outright in my at-home speed tests is the AX6000 version of Netgear Orbi, which costs more than three times as much (keep reading for more on that one). On top of that, TP-Link's setup process is about as easy as it gets, with satellite extenders that automatically join the mesh as soon as you plug them in. Read our TP-Link Deco W7200 review.
Asus RT-AX86U
Best gaming router
Wi-Fi standard
Wi-Fi 6
Speed Rating
AX5700
Range
Up to 2,500 sq. ft.
Wireless Networking Security
WPA3
Bands
Dual-Band (2.4 and 5GHz)
Gaming routers promise high performance and low latency for die-hard gamers, and it isn't uncommon to find them selling for $300 or even $400. At about $270 or less, the Asus RT-AX86U dual-band router isn't inexpensive either, but it's a strong value relative to routers like those -- and the performance it delivers as a gaming router is flat-out great.
Most noteworthy is the router's latency management. In fact, it leads all of the routers I've ever tested, gaming or otherwise, with the lowest average latency across all of my tests, which online gamers will definitely appreciate. Something else you'll appreciate: An excellent mix of app-based controls and features, including a mobile boost mode, that lets you prioritize gaming traffic to your phone at the touch of a button.
Gaming features aside, the RT-AX86U offers full support for Wi-Fi 6, with strong, stable speeds and good range. If you need additional range, you can add other Asus "AIMesh" devices to your home network to make it the centerpiece of a mesh.
That checks off all of the boxes that most people want from a good gaming router, and it gets you there at a price that isn't too painful for us to recommend. Even if you aren't a gamer, this is still one of the best Wi-Fi 6 routers you can buy right now. Read our list of the best gaming routers.

2023.03.24 14:23 beautycase Melara - Burning Leaves of Fire Leaving a Trunk of Wax
A night and a starry sky.
This Melara saw from her carriage before arriving in Ashemark.
Below her, only the slowly deteriorating wood, but above...
Melara was lost looking at the stars and imagined for a moment that she could reach them, and collect them one by one.
But for the time being she merely collected them in her memory, creating drawings in her mind with them and storing them in that light box that men call daydreams.
Melara had them all, none of those stars escaped her gaze and none of those possibilities escaped her ambition.
Mina was like her, too big to walk on such fragile ground and too thirsty to be content with the drops that came to her from above.
Both of them always looked to the sky, never to what they had.
But what else should they have been looking at?
What little they had been given by fate or the wretches who did not even have that?
Their friendship was based on a common closeness and awareness.
That they both deserved more than what they had.
Her brother Herrock told her that her role was that of an ornament, to be a pretty object that her future husband would brag about.
Melara wanted to poison him, or suffocate him at night.
But that meant she would become Lady of Crakehall, and even that was not enough for her.
So she saw the signs of House Marbrand, and closed her eyes sleeping for a while.
She dreamed of leaves of fire burning, leaving a trunk of wax.

2023.03.24 14:23 soft-weirdling RSD is currently destroying me and I'm considering giving my soon to be ex custody.
I just couldn't with life this morning. We ran so late to school, I decided not to bring the kids because they keep getting tardy. My husband made a post on his Facebook account he was going to get off of it but will keep his Instagram (which I don't have), then he is trying to pass our family Walmart account to me because he doesn't use it (he does buy thing there all the time and the login is with his email). I should add that we are living in different states and I am living at my dad's house with the kids. I feel so selfish for letting these feelings of abandonment from my husband affect me so much that then I also neglected taking my kids to school and giving them breakfast.
I'm really wondering if giving my husband custody will be best for them.

2023.03.24 14:22 justatadnerdy I think my partner has add
So I finally got my diagnosis and started medication for adhd. I’m 34 years old and I’m so sure my partner (37yo) has it as well (or rather add). It’s funny how I find it hard to deal with his traits while I used to or still do show the same. Since I’m also autistic I struggle with myself all the time as it is and I hate that some habits bother me so much. I love him and I’m not good at keeping the house clean but he’s even worse. I talked to him about it and it bothers him as well, always has. He did agree to see a doctor and got an appointment in may and I hope this’ll help us some.
Do you have tips for me to get over myself and help him? I don’t have much energy to spare as I have much to do with my own adhd and autism but I really want to help him and be more supportive. I hate that it’s so hard for me to give the support I need myself :(

2023.03.24 14:22 Kindly_Fig_9743 How do I live with the truth that I became the person I am today?
The person I chose to accept and love for 8 years manipulated my mental health, my sex life, my criminal record, my finances and my reputation. I’m not sure where to even start… I feel negative and abused in all aspects of life. I’ve been broken down past my core and feel like it’s just not worth the battle… to be honest I’m not sure if our kid is mine, not sure where her moneys coming from, nothing is making sense. All I want to do is raise my daughter. Now I’m homeless, sleeping in my car, impulsive, distant from friends and family and being blamed for leaving the house when I’m scared of her. I was never like this- I’ve been used and then abused and then picked up and then dropped so many I ’m a great dad but she uses her as a pawn to attack me when I’m being a father, she gets jealous and then somehow I’m being screamed at for giving her children’s Tylenol when shes sick and I have to leave because she’s calling the police. Then I’m ignored for weeks, somehow we rekindle and boom here I am again writing this from a hotel parking lot- I keep searching for the answer to HOW I got here…. The chase of the truth has completely destroyed my mind. I found out the other day she was charged with hurting a vulnerable adult but got it expunged half way though our relationship. I feel violated- she pulled me out of treatment because my daughter needed me there so she could work.. but she still gets EBT with a 400k mortgage in her name. “On call” nurse… What do I do next? I have nothing but the love of my daughter to keep going and she makes it impossible. So many more problems it’s too much

2023.03.24 14:22 throwawayy575575 Am I entitled to split my house 50/50 with my ex?
Hi, so me and my fiancée have split up and we’re selling our house and paying off the mortgage. We bought the house 2 years ago, we have both payed similar amounts towards the mortgage and bills, however she put in more towards the deposit (I put 16,000 she put 34,000). So my question is when we sell am I entitled to 50 percent of everything or would she be entitled to her deposit money back? For context, I’m not a petty person I’d never want to take what’s not mine but I’ve been suffering with a health condition this past year and found at that she’s been cheating on me for quite some time. Obviously going to get solicitors involved but just wanted to pop the question here and ask :) thank you all very much

| FremantleMedia (doing business as Fremantle) is a British-based media conglomerate company founded on August 20, 2001, as a merger of Pearson Television and CLT-UFA; the companies merged to become "RTL Group" and by renaming the production arm to FremantleMedia, who currently owns the All American, Mark Goodson, and Reg Grundy libraries, among other formats. In 2003, FremantleMedia acquired Australian production company Crackerjack Productions, who merged with Grundy Television to form "FremantleMedia Australia". On September 7, 2018, the company changed its onscreen name to simply "Fremantle," though FremantleMedia remains its legal name. Today, Fremantle is a division of the RTL Group, and is 90% owned by German media conglomerate, Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA, which is 80.9% owned by the Bertelsmann Foundation and 19.1% owned by the Mohn Family. The text " FREMANTLEMEDIA", in Futura font with different font weights, blurs in to the left of the atom. Afterwards, four white paint drops appear around the atom. Variants: - On North American-produced shows, the words "NORTH AMERICA", in a non-bold Futura typeface, appear right under "FREMANTLEMEDIA" next to the bubble. For Australia, the word "AUSTRALIA" would appear under the name. For Poland, "POLSKA" would appear under the name in a basic font (either Arial or Helvetica).
- Starting in 2005, the logo was remade in HD, and a 5th paint drop was added.
- In some cases, the variant where the paint drops randomly appear.
- The Polska version has as very rare version with the "POLSKA" text in a non-bold Futura. It was seen on Kuba Wojewódzki, old Familiada episodes, and Season 1 of Brzydula.
- On Familiada old episodes, the paintstoke appears, until, the gameshow fades.

- The text Distributed by FREMANTLE INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTION" appears underneath the logo for global distribution since 2003.
- For other shows that they produced or distributed globally such as MTV's Eye Candy, either the text Enterprises or International fades in.
- An early variant has been spotted with a white background, black text, a blue atom, and no animation on the final season of Bruce's Price is Right. Some episodes of US TPIR from 2001 & 2002 (like the first "Million Dollar Spectaculars") also have this logo. In the Finnish TV quiz show Voitto kotiin from 2002, the black text and a blue atom are seen quickly fading in on a white background. This variant is also used in games based on TV shows. An in-credit version was seen on the first 2 seasons of Tree Fu Tom, along with the second series of Kate & Mim-Mim (with white text), while season 1 of Kate & Mim-Mim used an in-credit variant with the white background.
- Another variant of the early version has an enlarged second half of the blue atom on a white background on the first half, beside it is a small FremantleMedia logo. Copyright information is below.
- The logo is on right such as Philippines Got Talent (blue atom, black text on white background).
- A long version exists. In this version, a splash of white paint flies through the air, going from left to right. Then, it fades into a scene of two more splashes: one other direction, and the other flying down from left to right. Afterwards, it fades in to what is described in the more commonplace short version.
- Some versions of this logo are stretched out, such as the one appearing after episodes of The Price Is Right $1,000,000 Spectacular from 2008.
- On the 2014 Australian version of Family Feud, the short version of the logo is superimposed onto a blue background with a shining yellow line on top of it, This is superimposed onto the final few seconds of the program.
- Starting in the 36th season of The Price Is Right, the FremantleMedia logo can now be seen on credits, replacing the Mark Goodson Productions logo. "FREMANTLEMEDIA" is in white, and the atom symbol is royal blue. The logo is accompanied by the following announcement: "This is (announcer's name) speaking for The Price is Right, a FremantleMedia production.".
- There is a B/W variant.
- On some BBC airings of Neighbours, the URL "www.bbc.co.uk/neighbours" appears below.
- The logo appeared superimposed, inside a box, on the pilots for Whammy! The All-New Press Your Luck and later episodes of 100 Mexicanos Dijeron (Mexico's version of Family Feud). The fully animated logo also appeared on ¿Que Dice la Gente?, inside a box (with a white border), against a black background.
- On Portugal's O Preco Certo (em Euros), the phrase "Uma producao RTP executada por:" ("An output performed by RTP") appears above the logo, and is true for all shows on RTP from the company.
- The French version of Going for Gold, titled Questions pour un Champion has the logo superimposed into a blue rippling background, and after it finishes animating, a copyright stamp appears under the logo.
- On Komunikata, the logo is on the left along with TPI and copyright below superimposing the background with Komunikata logo.
- An in-credit version appears above the Endemol logo on the Netherlands' version of TPIR, Cash en Carlo.
- A superimposed version of the logo appears in rectangular form, above the Caracol TV logo, on 100 Colombianos Dicen (Colombia's version of FF).
- On Hole in the Wall on Cartoon Network, the short logo was superimposed in the credits after the HITW theme ends. The logo plays with a +1 pitch in a blue rectangle, and after the superimposed logo ends, the American version of the logo plays.
- A still shot version of any of the variants exist.
- On the UK DVD release of Count Duckula: Vampire Vacation, the URL “www.fremantlehomeentertainment.com” appears below the logo.
Technique: Computer animation, mixed with live-action footage. Music/Sounds: First, we hear a low guitar strum, segueing into a synthesized percussion-driven instrumental. It then culminates with a three-strum guitar jingle, the last note of which echoes. This was composed by Score Productions, which did music for The Price is Right, Family Feud and the 1986 Lorimar-Telepictures logo. Music/Sounds Variants: - In other cases, the end-title theme plays over, the generic network theme on CBS, ABC, NBC, Fox or The CW, or it's silent.
- High tone and low tone variants exist, with the low tone variant appearing on Baywatch, episodes of The Price is Right on the 2008 DVD "Best of" set, episodes of Family Feud from season 14 and onward, and all game shows aired on Buzzr.
- A long version exists. It uses the extended version of that theme, complete with a piano note in the middle of the sound.
- There is a very short version with the last four notes of the theme.
- On Challenge's airings of Strike It Lucky in the UK, the end of the theme plays over the logo on the first two seasons; on the third season the logo jingle plays, cutting of the theme music presumably due to a plastering error.
- A similar variant of this theme exists when Challenge airs the 1995 series of Bruce's Price is Right where it cuts off the theme music due to plastering.
- On DVD releases of the 1983 television film Adam, the closing theme of this movie is heard, and, after the logo has finished, then the short version of the 1978 Alan Landsburg Productions theme over the finished logo. The ALP logo is seen before the FremantleMedia logo.
- On Where the Hell's that Gold???!!! on its DVD release, it uses the low tone variant of the 1997 Pearson Television music on the "North America" version, as a result of double plaster.
- There is a variant that have the long version jingle played on the common variant "paint bubble", thus freeze-frame for a few second.
- On Komunikata, a voiceover in Indonesia says "Komunikata is a production of FremantleMedia in association with TPI. Nusrin Nuerdin speaking". The closing theme is used (sometimes after the jingle plays).
- On current prints of Series 1 of Count Duckula, the downpour of rain is heard, this is due to plastering over the 1969 Thames Television logo.
Availability: Very common. - Short Version
- With the sounder, it can be seen on the current version of Family Feud in syndication and GSN, the second season of Whammy! The All-New Press Your Luck on GSN, live editions of Fox's American Idol, The Price is Right, and Let's Make a Deal on CBS, Grojband on Teletoon and Cartoon Network, Max Steel on Disney XD, and Buzzr airing of Match Game (in lower pitch, nonetheless).
- The Enterprises and International version appears on shows that it's companies produced or shows that Fremantle only distributed.
- This plasters the Thames Television logo on episodes of Strike It Lucky, and the Central/Carlton logo on episodes of Dale's Supermarket Sweep, when aired on Challenge in the UK.
- Some episodes of the 1995 series of Bruce's Price is Right have this logo plastering the Yorkshire/Talbot variant.
- On one episode of the 2000 series of the latter also have this logo plastering the Yorkshire/Grundy variant.
- The Australian version appears on post-2006 episodes of Neighbours and Temptation, among other then-current, then-new and former series in Australia.
- It was last seen on Hole in the Wall on Cartoon Network.
- It's also seen on seasons 3-8 DVD releases of The Bill and on Baywatch on the now-defunct More>Movies ("More Than Movies") in the UK.
- This also was seen at the end of every game show episode aired on their network Buzzr, and still occasionally shows up there unplastered.
- It appears at the end of Jack The Ripper after the final credit that precedes the Lorimar-Telepictures logo since it's a Thames production.
- When Mr. Bean (the live action series) aired on Disney Channel Asia, both a still "Distributed by" version or a short animated version with Distributed by appeared.
- This also appeared on the October 29, 2020 episode of ABC's Match Game (over a year after it was last used), as it was recorded in 2019.
- Long Version
- It appears on Whammy! The All-New Press Your Luck's first season with the show's theme playing over it.
- It was also sighted on The Aquabats! Super Show! on Hub Network (before the rebrand to Discovery Family), My Babysitter's a Vampire on Disney Channel, and Monsuno on Nicktoons.
- With the sounder, it can be found on ¿Que Dice la Gente? (the Spanish-language version of Family Feud) on Telefutura, on DVD releases of American Idol, Match Game, Family Feud, and The Price is Right, Fatal Love (plastering over ACI logo), The Moving of Sophia Myles (plastering over Pearson TV International logo). and was also seen on Temptation: The All-New Sale of the Century, when last seen on MyNetworkTV. It also appears on S1 and S2 episodes of Asia's Got Talent on AXN, following the Sony/SPT (S1), or Sony Pictures Television Networks (S2).
- It is also used as a de-facto home video logo in the United Kingdom, Germany, and the United States (in the latter country, Fremantle licenses its content to thrid-party distributors, but their logo is followed by this logo).
- Also appears at the end of current prints of Count Duckula, either by plastering over the Thames Television logo (on episodes from Series 1) or being seen after the Thames Television logo (on episodes from Series 2) and being seen after Cosgrove Hall Productions's second logo (on episodes from Series 3).
- It also appears on 2014-2018 Familiada episodes.
- The Polska version appears on Season 1 of Brzydula and later episodes of Kuba Wojewódzki.
Legacy: It's not seen as popular due to its wide prevalence on television, in part due to its plastering older logos, though it's not on the scale of Sony Pictures Television, 20th Television or CBS Television Distribution. Fremantle (September 10, 2018-) https://preview.redd.it/bq3jg6a7uopa1.png?width=454&format=png&auto=webp&s=9482d8608c44ca488e645270d85c79b709e36d20 https://preview.redd.it/xur7wy08uopa1.png?width=340&format=png&auto=webp&s=63fa5757dbdfdc85ddfa43dc274716683d0fd528 Logo: On a black background, two shots fade in and out depicting the letters "Fr" and "e" in white being written out in cursive. A third shot shows a cursive white "m" being drawn, which zooms out to reveal the words "Fremantle" being drawn out in cursive handwriting. The stem of the "t" is the last of the lettering to be drawn after the zoom out. Variants: - A shorter version with the first two shots omitted has also been shown.
- An in-credit version appears on The Price Is Right, accompanied by a revised announcement: "This is (announcer's name) speaking for The Price Is Right, a Fremantle production."
- On some older shows distributed by Fremantle, the text "Distributed by" or "Produced and Distributed by" appears above the logo.
- There is a still version of the "Distributed by" variant. This is seen on the Jack the Ripper miniseries.
- Rarely, the theme plays over a black screen. This has appeared on Buzzr airings of a 1972 episode (#1662) of What's My Line?, episode #530 of Match Game '75, and episode #1331 of Match Game '78.
- A version stretched from 4:3 to 16:9 appeared on programming aired on Buzzr around May 20, 2021 due to a scaling error.
- On the 2022 Filipino version of Family Feud, no logo is featured at all, just a copyright stamp on a black background. However, starting with a March 25, 2022 episode (episode 3), the script, in still form, appears before the stamp. Starting with episode 6, aired in March 30, 2022, the full animation plays, but sped up in order to fit with the show's runtime.
- A zoomed-in variant also exists as well.
Technique: 2D animation by Venturethree. Music/Sounds: A dramatic three-note orchestral string theme followed by a chorus stinger when the stem of the "t" is drawn. This was composed by Reuben Shaljean. Music/Sounds Variants: - The shorter version cuts out the first two notes.
- On CBS programs, the network's guitar-driven generic theme from the 2003-04 on-air look (which is slightly high-pitched since 2008) is used.
- ABC and NBC airings used the respective channels' generic themes.
- Sometimes, the logo has the previous logo's theme if it plasters that logo, or the show's ending theme.
- High tone and low tone variants both also exist.
- Rarely, the theme is slightly re-arranged.
Availability: Current and very common. - It first appeared on the September 10, 2018 episode of Neighbours.
- It debuted in the U.S. on the September 11, 2018 episode of America's Got Talent and later appeared on both The Price is Right and Let's Make a Deal on the 17th of that same month.
- The logo also appears on most of the shows airing on Buzzr, replacing the previous logo, starting with the newly acquired Classic Concentration.
- The logo should appear on newer episodes of American shows and Australian shows that once bore the previous logo.
- The logo also appears on new and future American and Australian shows such as Unleashed, Game of Talents, Lie With Me and About Last Night, among others.
- It also appears on its rebooted game shows that they own like Card Sharks, Press Your Luck and Supermarket Sweep.
- Season 20 of Family Feud also began using this logo on October of 2018.
- Another place the logo appears is on S3 episodes of Asia's Got Talent.
- Currently appears on the 2022 Filipino version of Family Feud (in still and animated forms starting with the episodes stated above).
- The logo has started to plaster the previous logo on prints of older shows outside of the United States as well.
- It can also be found on later prints of the miniseries Jack the Ripper (1988) and also on HD remasters of Baywatch, currently on Amazon Prime and Pluto TV.
- As with the last logo, it appears as a de-facto home video logo in the United Kingdom and Germany, as well as American DVDs of Fremantle content released by third party companies.
- Seen also on season 2 of Brzydula and Familiada episodes from 2018 onwards.
- It also appears at the end of the pilot to Wreck and the US prints of Planet Sex with Cara Delevingne, respectively as well.

2023.03.24 14:22 Glass-Bobcat9926 Best Wi-Fi Router 2023

2023.03.24 14:21 pheregas Shower water mixer adjustment?
Good day.
I have a century home with up to date plumbing. It is a larger home and the distance from the hot water tank to the second floor shower is about as far away as possible and still be inside the house.
We’ve always had the issue (pre and post bath renovation) that the shower just doesn’t get that warm, even with the dial turned all the way to hot.
I know the mixer has some safety setting that mixes in a small amount of cold even when hot is set to max.
I’ve insulated all the copper as far as I could from the hot water tank to where the copper goes up through the walls. I used that foam stuff from a big box store to wrap it.
I also can’t turn up the water heater any more because it’s already borderline too hot for the first floor sinks that are much closer to the tank.
Should I alter the mixer? Or slightly close the quarter turn ball valve on the cold shutoff to slow the cold flow?
Sorry if this is a dumb question. Google searches said I should be able to adjust the max temp via the mixer, but I also don’t want to violate any safety regulations. Just tired of lukewarm showers.

2023.03.24 14:21 lovelylayout Jodi is an almond mom (and so much more)
TW: eating disorders just in case, also spoilered for mentions of Kent and Ginger Island
TLDR: Jodi is overwhelmed by her life and also affected by diet culture.
I've gotten lots of compliments on my flair and I wanted to take a minute to explain how I think about Jodi's character more in-depth. I love Jodi, I feel for her, and I think about her a lot. Almond-specific analysis will be near the end of this post.
"What do I do for fun? Hmm... That's a good question. I like sleeping."
Jodi is THE desperate housewife.
Domestic labor is labor. Home economics Family and Consumer Sciences is a legitimate field of study, and a complex one. Keeping house has so many moving parts, and the job is never done. Cleaning, cooking, budgeting, child care, and time management all have to be planned and carried out, and it's really difficult to get it all right all the time.
Jodi is under a ton of pressure, especially for the year she's alone, to raise her children right, spend the family's money right, keep the house right, and somehow also make time for herself. But she doesn't make a lot of time for herself, because she's overwhelmed.
What Jodi doesn't know (and what a lot of people who struggle IRL with the need to "do everything right" don't realize) is that feeling overwhelmed when faced with an overwhelming situation is a completely normal reaction. The person who feels snowed under by the demands of their life also usually experiences shame at not being able to achieve whatever unrealistic goal they've set.
Neither the IRL person nor Jodi realizes that the goals are unrealistic, because nobody ever comes out and says "hey, one person actually cannot do all this? maybe let's stop beating ourselves up for not being able to Do It All."
That's what "desperate" refers to in the phrase "desperate housewife." Desperation to achieve every task, to not let anything slip through the cracks, to not let anyone down who depends on you, to show up, to keep going and going day in and day out without ever really getting a break.
"Housework is frustrating because you're never finished. The day after I sweep the floor, it's dirty again."
"The food at JojaMart might not be the healthiest for my family, but with such low prices you'd be crazy to shop anywhere else!"
"I'm taking a break from house chores today. I'm taking the day off. If I don't spend any time outside, I'll go crazy!"
"If I was rich the first thing I'd do would be to hire a maid and a chef. My goodness, that would be nice!"
Girl needs a vacation (I'm always so happy to see her on Ginger Island once the resort is unlocked).
On Jodi's "lost youth"
"It's nice to have a family... but I'd be lying if I said I never long for the freedom of youth..."
"I had a dream that I had complete freedom, no obligation to anyone but myself... Then I woke up and realized I had a full day of house chores ahead of me..."
"We kind of rushed into our marriage, with Kent being a soldier and all... I hardly got a taste of youth and freedom, and now it's too late to ever go back. Just don't make the same mistake."
“\sigh*... Sometimes I dream about life on my own... without a family to look after. Is that horrible? Don't tell anyone.”*
Pining for lost youth is not an uncommon trope within the archetype of the desperate housewife, but it doesn't show up in every character. Clearly it does show up in Jodi, and her wishing for a different life is another thing she feels shame about ("Is that horrible? Don't tell anyone").
One thing that breaks my heart about Jodi is that she seems unable to just be herself. Her entire life is set up with a focus on her being of benefit to other people, and she feels like she's lost some of herself along the way.
She specifically mentions "freedom" so many times. Longing to feel freedom is something she probably can't talk to Kent about, since he was in an actual prison camp and the two situations are not at all on the same level.
Almond Analysis
What is an almond mom? An almond mom is one who is obsessed with looks and maintaining or losing weight to the point that her own eating-disordered behavior rubs off on her children. (I've heard steak dad or protein dad used to refer to the same phenomenon in fathers.) IRL this can look like: negative body talk about oneself or the child; placing moral value on certain foods; forcing the entire family onto the same diet when differing needs are present; and lots of other things.
Is Jodi really a full-blown almond mom? No, of course not.
She's trying her best to feed her family in a way that maintains their health-- Vincent wouldn't be excited about the lentils or boiled beets even if they were a once-in-a-blue-moon dinner, he's a kid and he just doesn't like lentils. I don't think Sam or Vincent have or are going to develop issues with food or weight. I don't think Jodi has an eating disorder-- what I do see in her dialogue, likes, and dislikes is someone who's affected by diet culture.
Jodi's Loved Items list only includes one item that is conventionally "healthy" and that's vegetable medley. Her other Loved food items are chocolate cake, crispy bass, eggplant parmesan, fried eel, pancakes, and rhubarb pie. Her unique Liked Items are eggs, fruit, and milk, with a couple exceptions in each category.
So she likes items that are generally regarded as healthy but loves items that are high in fat. As someone who's been in dieting spaces on the internet for two decades, that's a dieter if I've ever seen one.
At the movies her favorite concession is chocolate popcorn and her liked concessions include cappucino mousse cake, fries, ice cream sandwich, nachos, personal pizza, popcorn, and star cookie, again including fewer conventionally healthy items like the salmon burger and jasmine tea. Going to the movies is a "special occasion" where she's more likely to eat something outside the diet.
I also think it's funny that Jodi doesn't like mushrooms. Mushrooms tend to be polarizing in diet spaces, they're very low-calorie but a lot of people just don't like them enough to make them worth eating no matter how low-cal they are.
Sam has a dialogue about her cooking fish casserole, plus her Fish Casserole 4-heart event. Fish casserole sounds like the kind of do-those-ingredients-really-go-together diet concoction you see get popular now and then.
"Exercise is important for staying healthy. I always make sure to set aside some time for it. As a parent, I don't have much time to devote to myself. So I try and make every minute count."
The good news is that this and the end of the line "If I don't spend any time outside, I'll go crazy! Plus I don't want my legs to turn soft" are the only dialogues she has regarding looks/fitness. I've joked before about her shopping at Joja to get her steps in, but I don't really think that's the case. I think Jodi's relationship with exercise is far more typical than disordered.
She says she makes time for it because she knows it's important, but she doesn't seem to enjoy it. If Jodi posted on an IRL diet or fitness forum they'd advise her to ditch the aerobics class and find something she actually enjoys. Jodi does say she likes to be outside. She might enjoy hiking or something, but as you know if you've read this far, she doesn't have the time.
This concludes the longest post I've ever written about a video game, and if you read the whole thing I want to thank you for your time and wish you the highest possible luck day.

2023.03.24 14:21 fprintf Oven self-cleaning stunk up the house, need ways to reduce the burnt plastic smell
For the first time in 8 years I decided to run the self-cleaning cycle on our GE Profile oven. We don't do a lot of messy splattery cooking and in retrospect it wasn't that dirty and I should have just wiped it out with a little soap and water.
During the cycle we were practically gassed out of the house, our eyes were all watery and the smell was just awful. It was 35 deg F outside and we still opened a bunch of windows to try and air it out. 3 days later and it still smells like burnt plastic (there was no plastic on or near the oven, and I have pulled it out to make sure there wasn't anything underneath or even the plastic electric cable).
So here we are 3 days later and it still smells. It is going to be 50deg F today and so the plan is to open all the windows. I am just shocked at how much this smell is lingering, like if I clean the bathrooms with bleach it is only usually a few hours until the smell is gone. Same with the usual cooking odors.
Any thoughts on how else to non-invasively get rid of the smell? I really can't afford to do anything major like repainting the interior or steam cleaning all the furniture. I'm kind of hoping there is something relatively easy I can do, or just the assurance that it'll go away with some time and airing it out.

2023.03.24 14:20 calrinet Spleen
I'm making this post entitled spleen because there aren't many posts about this on this sub.
A few weeks to a month ago one of my greyhounds died. It was a Sunday morning when we noticed she was being a little weird, but they're always weird so it could've been anything.
A few hours later she could barely stand. We called our cousin who is our vet that sees a lot of greyhounds. He told us to look her over for a tick and give her a tick bath. At this point I had a feeling she wasn't going to make it through the night. I obviously didn't KNOW, but I just had this feeling.
So we went to the store and bought the tick shampoo he recommended and gave her a bath. It was rough. She was using a LOT of effort to barely stand up but the vet told us it could be tick paralysis so that made sense, all the more important to get her the tick bath.
After her bath we dried her off, wrapped her in a blanket and laid her on her favorite spot on the sofa next to me.
When it was time for us to go to bed, I carried her across the house to our bedroom and laid her on her bed next to me. She started crying/screaming. It was horrible. I didn't know if I should take her to an emergency vet, I didn't know if they could do anything to help her, if I'd make it there. Around 9pm I called my vet again and asked "should I take her to an emergency vet?". He could hear her crying on the phone. He said I could but it might not help, I could take her to him tomorrow morning first thing as well and he could see what he could do.
About an hour later she died. It was horrible. Every second of it. I just laid next to her telling her she was a good girl everything was going to be okay and that I loved her and petting her. What else could I do? At that point I pretty much knew she was going to die. I didn't know if I had missed my chance at the emergency vet. Maybe it was my fault she was in so much pain. In case it isn't obvious I still blame myself.
The next morning we took her to our vet. He said he'd see why she died and have her cremated for us.
A week later we go back out to collect her ashes and talk to him. She had an enlarged spleen that had bled out. He said he sees greyhounds that age (she was 7) all the time with spleen problems that lead to their death, but it never happens this quickly. They never go from normal to dead in a matter of 24 hours. He told me there was nothing I could've done, even an emergency vet couldn't have helped when I called him at 9pm.
I wish I had done something, I miss her every day. She was such a bouncy girl. She would jump fully off the ground when I'd come home from work.
We planted a Japanese magnolia tree in our front yard and buried most of her ashes with it. I think it's a nice memorial to her.
I made this post because I had no idea that greyhounds have spleen problems, and that at age 7 they can really start to downturn. Our other grey is 11 and knocks on wood she's doing fine. So maybe next time you hit up the vet ask about your dogs spleen if they're getting close to 7.

2023.03.24 14:20 ImDecentPappi Family visit for the first child in the family
Hi dad's
My little girl was born 14 days ago, and all is good! It's hard, but good!
The last 10 days or so, has just been people running in and out of the house basically... I'm exhausted.... I want them to see my child and all, and they don't expect anything in regards of time or the level of service when visiting, but I'm running out of social battery.
How did you guys handle the first couple of months in terms of family visit? And friend for that matter!

2023.03.24 14:20 tdcoda1 My Mother is TOO Helpful and Gets Upset When I Ask Her to Stop
I love my mom, and for the most part we get along great.
But I'm a 37 year old adult. I own my own home. I have for nearly seven years now.
For some reason, she is obsessed with it. Any time an issue arises, she tries to take over, despite the fact I am fully capable mentally, physically, and financially of solving it myself.
I mention I need an electrician? The next day she's calling me saying she talked to an electrician she knows and MADE ME AN APPOINTMENT. Same thing has happened when talking about needed a plumber, or doing a ton of other things.
It's one thing to say, "Hey I talked to a plumber I know, he said he's free next week. Here's his number."
That kind of help is fine. But don't schedule work for me without consulting me.
And every time I ask her to stop doing this, she acts as if I'm INSULTING her and her feelings are hurt.
Other times she makes purchases for my house without asking.
"Hey I saw some curtains on sale, they would look great for your kitchen so I bought them. I'll come over this weekend and put them up."
NO. Stop. Please. I have curtains in my kitchen. They're fine. "Oh but those are winter curtains, these are summer curtains.
I am sorry but I am a 37 year old, straight, single man. I am not doing "seasonal curtains" and I did not ask you to buy them, and I am busy this weekend.
Now she's upset and mad at me.
I work overnight shifts. I have had to do A LOT of overtime lately. I have been doing 11pm to 11am shifts for the last three weeks straight, with one single day off a couple weekends ago.
Last night was the first time I only had to work 8 hours in that time period, and this is the first weekend I'll have off.
7:30am this morning, just walking through my front door, and my cell phone is ringing.
It's my mom. "Hey I know you mentioned you need some carpentry work done, my neighbor is a great carpenter and he said he'll come by and give you an estimate. We'll be there at 8am tomorrow, I thought me and your father would come down with him and bring breakfast."
Again....NO. For the love of god it's my first time off in like 21 days. I don't want the two of you and a stranger at my house at 8am. Look, I'm not a gross person, but I have to admit with my recent schedule the bathroom is in desperate need of cleaning, the sink is full of dirty dishes, the dust has been piling up.....
I wanted to fucking RELAX today, and spend tomorrow cleaning.
Once again I get the angry guilt trip...."Why do you always do this, I'm just trying to help, do you know how many people would be grateful....."
The worst part is I do end of feeling guilty that I'm annoyed by this. Maybe a lot of other people would love help like this from their mom.
I just get annoyed to hell with it though. She won't admit it, but I feel like this thinks I'm useless and need constant help from her because I'm an unmarried 37 year old man.
