It’s no secret that a successful startup hinges on the strength and skill of its team members, and finding the right developer is a crucial step in laying a solid foundation, especially as 20% of businesses fail within the first year, according to the
U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Unsurprisingly, lack of technical talent is one of the main reasons for failure. As you build your startup’s future, you can’t risk not having a solid company website or a fully-functional web app.
However, hiring tech talent isn’t as easy as it sounds –especially if you’re more on the business side of the equation and lack a technical co-founder to steer the techy side of the ship. For some, hiring an agency is the best way to go. You get all the benefits of a dedicated team of developers and almost no management complexities, except for the usual meetings and progress reports.
If you’re a startup founder, this article will provide a comprehensive overview of how to hire a developer for your startup, offering insights and guidance to help you decide between hiring an in-house developer or an agency. By following this roadmap, you'll be better equipped to identify, vet, and onboard tech talent to build the best website for your company.
This post covers - TL;DR
- Validate your idea

2023.03.24 14:01 evilgiraffee57 The best hug of my life
Seeing you at my front door this morning, the two of you. Making a diversion just to give me a hug was THE most magical moment. I know you know what it means to me but I really can't and could never express to you just how unbelievably important it was. I am used to dealing with difficulties alone, I have known you have always been there. You and your sister treating me less like a cousin than a little sister even with the physical distance between us. To reach out to you in the past year has still been hard. I don't want to bother to be a worry or a burden. You know it all and I realise I am not. I am family and loved and cared for. That hug was like being given an emotional charging. A swell of love into my bones. An energy so that even if it is another uear till I see you, or my family again I know you are there. I know we can talk I know I am not alone. I was brave I didn't cry. I didn't want you to feel guilt for leaving me. But when I shut the door the tears flowed. Not of despair, not of depression, not through anxiety but with relief and gratitude. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I have so much love for you my (by six weeks) big brother. Yes I am now getting help up here. I will be better. But that hug. That squeeze was perfect. And next time it will be with a smile. Next time I will be better, further on my journey and you will be proud. This morning will stay with me. That hug was perfect. Right person, right time. A visit of 5 minutes that will last for years for me. I am so proud to be related to you and now I'm going to make sure you are proud of me too.

2023.03.24 14:01 Dareckerr Question about LiFePO4 longevity.
A friend of mine bought a few EG4 batteries and weve been having some discussions on the battery longevity.
First I've been going roughly on my knowledge of how we were supposed to treat lithium ion batteries in cell phones and other devices.
He insists on keeping his batteries charged to 100% and always charging them at 80-100A . Now I realise if he has 3 Batteries in parallell that 100A should theoretically be split between them so its only about 33A per battery. But his batteries are all charged fully by 11AM or Midday latest due to the number of panels/soalr intensity we have and then they discharge to about 50-60% overnight by next morning.
I've been reading some reasearch papers but the tests they did were only roughly over 2-2.5 year spans and keeping at 100% over a long time was detrimental but no research on charging to 100% like information on lithium ions. Also fast charging can affect lithium Ion batteries but our phones taper off the incoming charge when we get close to 100%, similarly to those, our Solar batteries and the BMS tapers off the high current when the SOC gets close to 100 but does the fast charging before that 90% affect life.
details: Ambient temps are 25-30c. 6-8 hours sunshine daily, 90 % of the year.
Now my questions are.
- Should he slow his charging rate into the batteries and try not to top them off at 100% every single day maybe stopping it at 80-85% SOC and running it down to 40-50% SOC by next sunrise? Would this extend the life of the batteries.
- What affects the the calendar age of batteries. Usage over time or literally just time. This would affect point 1.
On another note. We have a Chinese Battery Wall 10KW and a Growatt 12K DVM MPV and can not get any communication with Inverter and Battery. The battery has the worst translated manual possible. Any ideas?

best Montessori school in South Bangalore or the best Montessori in South Bangalore.
Importance of Respect for child in Airaa Academy in South Bangalore
At Airaa Academy in South Bangalore, we believe that respect for the child is essential to their overall development and success. Our child-centric approach to education centres around fostering a sense of respect for each student's unique needs, strengths, and potential. We prioritise listening to and valuing our students' thoughts and opinions, creating a safe and supportive environment that encourages them to learn and grow. By modelling respect and trust in our interactions with students, we empower them to develop self-esteem, self-discipline, and a love for learning. At
Airaa Academy, we recognize the crucial role that respect plays in nurturing well-rounded, confident, and capable individuals.
Respect for the Child in Montessori Education
Montessori education is a unique approach to learning that emphasises respect for the child as an individual with unique interests, abilities, and potential. Dr. Maria Montessori, the founder of this educational philosophy, believed that children should be treated with respect and dignity, and that they should be given the freedom to explore their environment and learn at their own pace. This philosophy has been embraced by Montessori schools around the world, and it has had a profound impact on the way that children are educated.
The Importance of Respect in Montessori Education
Respect for the child is at the heart of Montessori education. Children are not seen as passive recipients of knowledge, but as active participants in their own learning. They are given the freedom to choose their own work, to explore their environment, and to learn at their own pace. This approach to education values the child's innate curiosity and creativity, and it recognizes that each child has unique strengths and weaknesses.
By respecting the child in this way, Montessori education creates a supportive and nurturing learning environment that promotes independence, self-confidence, and a love of learning. It encourages children to be curious, to ask questions, and to explore the world around them. It also fosters a sense of responsibility, as children are expected to take care of their environment and their own learning.
To help your child learn respect and feel respected, there are various ways you can do so whether at home or school:
- Communicate with your child as if they are the grownup you want them to become. While baby talk is acceptable during their early years, it's best to avoid it as they get older. Speaking to them as adults can help boost their confidence and morale.
- Listen to your child. Sometimes, parents forget to listen to their children while guiding them. Your child's feedback can help you make better decisions about their wellbeing.
- Allow your child to finish their tasks without interruptions. Let them speak and complete their thoughts, even if it takes a while.
- Give your child a role. They should feel like they have a place in their school, family, and other activities. Instead of giving orders, start by asking for their help and treat them as partners in an enterprise.
- Encourage your child instead of laughing at their mistakes. Be patient and let them discover their own mistakes without judgement.
- Show your child trust by letting them make their own decisions and attempts. This can help them learn and grow more.
- Respect your child's privacy by giving them space and avoiding talking about them in front of other adults.
In Montessori education, the philosophy is to treat each child with dignity and respect. At
Airaa Montessori in South Bangalore, we follow Dr. Maria Montessori's philosophy to create a respectful environment where children can grow academically and personally. One of the significant differences between Montessori and traditional education is the freedom it gives students to structure their lessons and work at their own pace, all while nurturing their education with respect for each individual child.

2023.03.24 14:00 kirtash93 TIL: Crypto 101 - What are Sybil attacks?
| What is a Sybil attack? A Sybil attack is a security thread for an online system where someone tries to take over the network with multiple accounts, nodes or computers. "Sybil" word comes from a woman called Sybil Dorsett who was treated for dissociative identity disorder, like Craig Wright (Joke). What problems can cause Sybil attacks in crypto? This kind of attacks can win the votes to honest nodes in the network if they have enough fake identities and can also block the transmission of blocks to other users. In big scale Sybil attacks, if they control the most of the network, they can do a 51% attack being able to change transaction orders, block and revert transactions, etc. There are different ways to detect and prevent this kind of attack but there is not a 100% secure defense. How does blockchain defend against this attacks? This kind of attacks can be reduced with the well known Consensus Algorithms like Proof of Work, Proof of Stake, etc but not because they prevent them, it is just because it is less practical because of the rules they have to generate new blocks. For example in Proof of Work it is necessary power to be able to create new blocks so it is expensive for attackers. In BTC case mining is intense and miners get a incentive to maintain and honest minery instead of trying a Sybil attack. "Don't bite the hand that feeds you". Sybil attack I hope you enjoyed this short post about Sybil attacks. I will try to bring more educative posts in the future so everybody, including me learn something new. submitted by kirtash93 to CryptoCurrency [link] [comments] |
2023.03.24 14:00 Grandpas_Plump_Chode What do y'all think of Castle Panic and the expansions?
My wife and I decided to get Castle Panic, both for the purpose of us playing together and for bringing around at game nights with my friends (who are decently experienced board gamers). We gave it a shot with 2 players last night and it was fun but definitely too easy with the standard rules, and my wife leans more towards a beginner.
It also felt very... calculated? There wasn't really much strategic decision making, it was just figuring out what combination of cards is the most effective, which makes me concerned the game might feel a bit samey after a few plays.
Turns out after doing a little looking around, difficulty is a pretty common complaint since the game seems to be more geared towards beginners/kids. A lot of people recommended getting The Wizard's Tower expansion at the very least. I was even looking at the Big Box just to have the full collection, but the $100 price point is a bit steep.
What do you guys think? Do the expansions make a big enough difference? Would the expansions add enough depth for a group of experienced players? Or would I be better off just finding a more appropriately challenging co-op game?

2023.03.24 14:00 AutoModerator Weekend ISO Thread (In Search Of)
Sub Wiki Sub Rules Safety Tips Scammers Where to redeem to get 4K Updated 1 January 2022 We ask that you check
recent For Sale posts for the title you are looking for before posting here.
- Buyers:
- The rules will still apply to the ISO sticky as the regular posts, meaning that you can only post 1 ISO list per sticky (but update to add/remove titles as needed).
- Sellers:
- If able, please link to your F/S post when you have something that somebody is looking for, then move discussion/negotiations there. This helps to keep the ISO thread clean, and makes it easy to see when a seller has reached out to a buyer about a title.
- Post something like "I have Endgame 4K for $7" then link to your thread if you have one. If you do have a post, try to keep discussion or negotiations there.
- There is no limit to how many prospective buyers you can reach out to.
- Rule 6 (Perks of Flair) will be strictly enforced. Those not following the rule must be reported.
- While flair WILL be rewarded for transactions completed in this post, it is preferred that they are completed in the seller's thread when able.
For those wondering why we are doing this, well, we've had multiple requests for it, as there were always tons of ISO posts filling up the sub, and we think this makes the sub run more smoothly. We had requests for daily and weekly, but we think twice a week will work the best. It's fluid, we can change it if we find that it is necessary.

2023.03.24 14:00 Rook33 Best templates for students
I haven't seen a template recommendatiion/appreciation post for a bit, so I thought I'd put one up.
After trying a few from etsy, I've gone back to a simple one that's just mix of the Cornell note baseline template with the small graph lined baseline templates because the templates I bought either
A) Didn't allow typing/importing typed text or B) Made exporting my work for submission a pain.
Despite having generally good file discipline, having to go back to making notes/hw in the way I did before the etsy templates is starting to look a bit cluttered - has anyone run into anything better? Basically I'd love a more polished class notes/hw template that would do (1) (2), with (3) and (4) just being bonuses...
1) have a notetaking-friendly template mixed with a hw-friendly template as described above 2) Make it easy to export hw 3) Type directly on or import text 4) Consolidate classwork for a semester 5) 'Dividers' for each new chapter, preferably one that has a tab-like setup similar to what's already available
I think we all geek out over how useful the remarkable can be, so any recommendations for remarkable templates or resources for an engineering student would be amazing!
If I have extra time this summer and if there's not already a template like what I described, I'll try to make a template with as many features as I listed above and put it in this sub for folks to use if they like!
Sorry for any typos, etc, I'm on mobile

2023.03.24 13:59 Icy-Conflict8398 Best Router 2023
Figuring out what the best router for your needs can be complicated. We've tested the top Wi-Fi router brands so you can find the right one for your needs.
Take a look at this list:
https://quizience.com/best-wi-fi-routers-for-2022/
TP-Link Archer AX21
Best budget router
Wi-Fi Standard
Wi-Fi 6
Speed Rating
AX1800
Range
Up to 2,500 sq. ft.
Wireless Networking Security
WPA3
Bands
Dual-Band (2.4 and 5GHz)
Available for $100 (or less if you catch a sale), the TP-Link Archer AX21 is an entry-level, dual-band Wi-Fi 6 router that supports top speeds of up to 1,201Mbps (1.2Gbps) on its 5GHz band. It's nothing fancy, but it offered near flawless performance for small- to medium-size homes in our tests, and it's a cinch to setup and use thanks to TP-Link's Tether app.
Best of all, when tested against other, similar routers from names like Asus and Netgear, the AX21 held its own with faster download speeds, better range, and low latency, too. Add in a functional bandsteering mode that automatically steers you between the 2.4 and 5GHz bands within a single network, plus guest network controls and even a quality of service engine for prioritizing traffic to the most important devices on your network, and you're looking at a decent home networking upgrade that's as simple and affordable as it gets. It isn't powerful enough to max out speeds on a gigabit network, but it can still hit consistent close-range speeds near 700Mbps or so, which is more than enough for most households. Read our TP-Link Archer AX21 review.
Linksys Hydra Pro 6 (MR5500)
Best midrange router
Wi-Fi Standard
Wi-Fi 6
Speed Rating
AX5400
Range
Up to 2,700 sq. ft.
Wireless Networking Security
WPA2, WPA3
Bands
Dual-Band (2.4 and 5GHz)
If you've already got a budget router running your network and you're ready to upgrade to something more powerful, the Linksys Hydra Pro 6 belongs high on your list. With a dual-band, AX5400 build, full support for Wi-Fi 6, and 160MHz channel support for moving data more efficiently, it was an excellent performer in my speed tests, even managing to outperform flashier picks like the also great Asus RT-AX86U.
The Hydra Pro 6 is a touch pricey as dual-band routers go, but the steady, consistent performance makes it a standout. Try and catch it on sale if you can, but if you just want a reliable, no-frills router that can keep up with gigabit speeds, look no further. Read our Linksys Hydra Pro 6 review.
TP-Link Deco W7200
Best mesh router overall
Wi-Fi Standard
Wi-Fi 6
Speed Rating
AX3600
Range
Up to 5,500 sq. ft. (two devices)
Wireless Networking Security
WPA2, WPA3
Bands
Tri-Band (2.4 and two 5GHz)
For the best performance from your mesh router, you'll want to prioritize getting one with support for Wi-Fi 6, plus a tri-band design that includes three separate bands of traffic: the usual 2.4 and 5GHz bands, plus an additional 5GHz band that the system can use as a dedicated wireless backhaul for transmissions between the router and its satellites. Most mesh routers like that cost at least $300 or even $400, but the TP-Link Deco W7200 gets you there for less than $250.
That's the best deal I've seen for a tri-band mesh router with support for Wi-Fi 6 -- and sure enough, it's an excellent performer, as well. In fact, the only system that managed to outperform it outright in my at-home speed tests is the AX6000 version of Netgear Orbi, which costs more than three times as much (keep reading for more on that one). On top of that, TP-Link's setup process is about as easy as it gets, with satellite extenders that automatically join the mesh as soon as you plug them in. Read our TP-Link Deco W7200 review.
Asus RT-AX86U
Best gaming router
Wi-Fi standard
Wi-Fi 6
Speed Rating
AX5700
Range
Up to 2,500 sq. ft.
Wireless Networking Security
WPA3
Bands
Dual-Band (2.4 and 5GHz)
Gaming routers promise high performance and low latency for die-hard gamers, and it isn't uncommon to find them selling for $300 or even $400. At about $270 or less, the Asus RT-AX86U dual-band router isn't inexpensive either, but it's a strong value relative to routers like those -- and the performance it delivers as a gaming router is flat-out great.
Most noteworthy is the router's latency management. In fact, it leads all of the routers I've ever tested, gaming or otherwise, with the lowest average latency across all of my tests, which online gamers will definitely appreciate. Something else you'll appreciate: An excellent mix of app-based controls and features, including a mobile boost mode, that lets you prioritize gaming traffic to your phone at the touch of a button.
Gaming features aside, the RT-AX86U offers full support for Wi-Fi 6, with strong, stable speeds and good range. If you need additional range, you can add other Asus "AIMesh" devices to your home network to make it the centerpiece of a mesh.
That checks off all of the boxes that most people want from a good gaming router, and it gets you there at a price that isn't too painful for us to recommend. Even if you aren't a gamer, this is still one of the best Wi-Fi 6 routers you can buy right now. Read our list of the best gaming routers.

2023.03.24 13:59 AlbanianCruiseLines Input Needed for Next AI Vacation in Mexico
Sorry this is long but maybe it'll help since it explains exactly what we want!
We just came back from our very first AI--Club Med in Punta Cana. It was absolute heaven. Incredible service, fresh, fantastic food (especially at the buffet--we were shocked), great kids club (we have a 6 y/o). So now we want to do it again somewhere else--which is turning out to be tough because we were so spoiled by CM. We're divers and leaning toward Club Med in Cancun but need to get more info on dive sites there before we commit. My research is telling me that dive sites further south, between Playa del Carmen and Tulum are better plus being down there we'd also be close to cenotes--we'd like to try diving there too. So I've literally looked at 50+ hotels, and read reviews on Travel Advisor and blogs to try and narrow things down. I'm overwhelmed!
We're focusing on Riviera Maya because like DR it's a short direct flight for our child (and who wouldn't prefer that anyway).
Our Budget is around $6K for an AI and we want to go Feb 16-23, 2024.
Other important things are:
- Very good food (we're not fooled by quantity, we want quality). My husband and I really got into the CM buffet because it was so exceptional and the variety made feeding a picky child very easy. But he and I like sit-down a la carte dining so a property with a mix of the two would be nice.
- Kids club with good organized care that takes the children outside (not only sitting inside with video games and movies)
- A little privacy between adult/child sleeping areas (a curtain, half wall, or screen would be fine). We had a great setup at CM with a bedroom for my husband and I and a small sitting room with daybeds that our daughter slept in with a curtain divider between us. (As a side note, I'm *really* surprised how few hotels have that. All the resorts I'm looking at are for families. We don't want to pay for a second bedroom so I'm only seeing "suites" that are one big room with a pullout couch right next to the adult's bed. Our kid goes to sleep before we do and we like to read for a while with a light on without disturbing her. This seems like a tiny thing but it's another way our expectations were raised by CM!)
- Access to an adults only pool. This isn't necessary but is nice to have a quieter place to relax while our daughter is in kids club
- Ease of finding beach/pool chairs. We didn't have a problem with this at CM but reviews for almost every hotel cite having to reserve chairs super early in the AM as a huge issue.
Grand Velas Riviera Maya is mentioned everywhere as the place to go for great food but that's way out of our price range.
The two places that are at the top of my list are Paradisus Playa del Carmen and Iberostar Quetzal/Tucan or one of the others.
Open to other suggestions!
Also, for those who have done this a lot--how much should you expect to pay per night for an AI with excellent food? Paradisus is right in our price range but for every 20 people on Trip Advisor who say they had amazing meals, there are 2 that said it was the worst food they'd ever had, and 3 saying it was "fine for an AI". IDK if that means things there are actually a mixed bag or people have different tastes/standards than we do (or people like to complain about nothing, as some do in reviews)
Same goes for less expensive places. Iberostars look very reasonably priced and are at the lower end of our budget--should I assume they have just average food?

2023.03.24 13:58 No_Win_1898 How to calmly discuss things when it is over.
So I have been in limbo for some time and we have both been back and forward with arguments and her wanting me to leave even though she is the one who was cheating (not cheating as we were over supposedly). Continues to see the guy while we live together and even brings him round when I'm not there. I need to get out of this life but with two children and a house that I pretty much pay all the bills on it's not as easy as just kicking her out (i wouldn't do that anyway). How do I sit down with her and have the conversation and what do I do to move forward with my life. I feel like I just have to sit down and shut up and get on with things. I don't want to upset the children. I know i have my failings over the years with communication and treating her as well as I should. I can't change the past but I need to change the future. Tl;dr

2023.03.24 13:58 OneSimplyIs Dragons Den Review [First Time Buyer]
So, after browsing this sub a bit I finally settled on Dragons Den being my first new vendor. I had to move on from Golden Monk, as their issues in January delaying my order two weeks killed my desire to order from them.
Sorry for bad quality pictures.
https://imgur.com/a/0Uc5N5R Dragons Den first has a decent website. Ordering was very simple, with no random ads or extra bullshit crowding the menus. The pricing was fantastic, as even for 250g of Green Maeng Da from GM was going to be about $44 USD w/ shipping. DD was about $34 USD w/shipping. Came crazy quick. Like, withing 2 or 3 days of the order. The packaging looks awesome, which was what attracted me to the product initially. I also received a bonus 50g bag of a type I never tried, as well as a spoon and a cool card. The bag has a nice, resealable zip on it and was easy to open. I've had other bags rip half way through, forcing me to try the other side and then just have to use a knife. Smelled better than anything I've purchased before and the taste was immediately noticable. I definitely plan on purchasing more from them to try.

2023.03.24 13:57 notforithanks Limerent Dream
Dear Ellen,
Weird night, last night. Watching Game Grumps, I found myself laughing harder than I've laughed in a while at Dan semi-coherently proclaiming mid-microsleep "thank God fish aren't into cash" and then waking up immediately. Then I thought about the dream I had last night and found myself thankful I wasn't in Dan's shoes, because I'm not sure what I would have blurted out.
Reason being that I dreamt about being with you. I don't know in what capacity we were "together," but I remember at one point you were sitting on my lap, which is far more intimate a form of contact (for me anyhow) than we've ever had. Hell, I think I've hugged you all of one time, when one night you unexpectedly showed up at the dorm room I shared with three roommates with a friend of theirs, meeting up with them to smoke. You sat next to me on the futon and we talked a bit before you went off to smoke.
I think I've seen you one time since that chance encounter, and due to being distracted by the thunderstorm and hail outside, it didn't immediately register that it was you staring at me as I walked behind you. I still kick myself for that, because I still maintain that your eyes are the loveliest I've seen. Few things capture my attention more than a good thunderstorm, but your eyes would do the trick, glasses or no.
Which brings me back to the dream. I don't recall much of it, but I do remember looking into your eyes, and I wonder what I would have blurted out to my girlfriend if I were in Dan's shoes. It would probably have been easy enough to come up with a lie on the spot (her eyes are quite beautiful as well), but I'd prefer not to lie to those I love.
That said, I've often found myself wondering how you're doing, what you're up to, and the like. As the above paragraphs likely make clear, I had a massive crush on you throughout high school, and while I'm probably still as awkward and gangly as ever, I've grown into myself since then, and I'm sure you have too. I still remember sitting next to you in a computer lab in 9th grade and discussing the nature of suffering; I assumed the bleeding-heart role and you stated that the world would be a boring place without the presence of suffering. I'd bet a substantial sum that that conversation would be very different if we had it today.
But as callous and perhaps privileged as that sentiment may have been, there's truth to it, and it's somewhat influenced my path since then. I work in a field where I see frequent glimpses of humanity at its most cruel and desperate, and I let others beat the crap out of me for fun. I didn't need to do these things, but I want to test myself against the world and see how I adapt and what I learn.
I wonder if you'd like me nowadays? From what I recall you're a very open-minded and intelligent person, but I don't know that you'd look upon my life choices favorably. And while I wouldn't look down on yours (or most anyone's), our compatibility likely would be as short-lived as a long conversation probing the differences between our lives and the reasons underlying the choices we've made.
I'd be shocked and a tad embarrassed if somehow you end up finding this, but wherever you are, whatever you're up to, I hope that you're happy and you've found people that love you and enrich your life for the better. If we should cross paths again, I'll try not to stare too much at your eyes before awkwardly waving hello.
Wishing you the best, David
P.S. I did end up enjoying Ishmael, though I still haven't read the sequel.

2023.03.24 13:57 Ok_Main_5148 Best Router 2022?
