| || | submitted by CydcorUSA to u/CydcorUSA [link] [comments]
In today's fast-paced digital world, where e-commerce and online marketing dominate, the traditional practice of door-to-door sales may seem like a relic of the past. However, it's important not to overlook the power and effectiveness of this age-old sales technique.
Door-to-door sales can be an art form when executed skillfully, and it holds the potential to unlock remarkable success for those who master it. You can establish a personal connection, address concerns, and build trust by directly engaging with potential customers.
What are Door-to-Door Sales? Door-to-door sales
are a marketing technique where salespeople visit potential customers' homes or businesses in order to sell products or services. In door-to-door sales, a salesperson typically carries product samples, brochures, or demonstration materials to showcase their offerings' features and benefits. They approach potential customers by knocking on doors, introducing themselves, and engaging in a sales pitch. The aim is to encourage the homeowner or business owner to make a purchase or schedule a follow-up appointment for further discussion.
Door-to-door sales can be used to promote a wide range of products or services, such as home security systems, vacuum cleaners, pest control services, magazine subscriptions, and more. Historically, it has been utilized by various industries, including telecommunications, energy providers, and insurance companies.
How door-to-door sales can be the key to unlocking your career's true potential: 1. Mastering the Art of Advice

Employers across industries highly regard these qualities, as they reflect your dedication, commitment, and capacity to deliver results. 7. Unveiling Unexpected Opportunities
Door-to-door sales often lead to unexpected encounters and sudden opportunities. A chance conversation with a homeowner could reveal an untapped market, a referral could land you a job offer in a different industry, or an encounter with a successful entrepreneur could inspire you to launch your own venture. By embracing the uncertainty and seizing these unexpected opportunities, you can redefine your career path and unlock untapped potential.
While the digital era has unquestionably transformed the way we buy and sell, door-to-door sales remain a resilient and effective sales approach. By mastering the art of face-to-face interaction, you can establish trust, address concerns, and close deals. In a world where face-to-face interactions have become increasingly scarce, the door-to-door salesperson's personal touch offers a unique and irreplaceable experience, solidifying their relevance in the digital age. So, get out there, knock on doors, and embrace the rewarding world of door-to-door selling.
2023.05.30 12:29 Smile0069 Top Tech stocks to consider: Unlocking high potential investments for Tech enthusiasts
A combination of recent performance, future opportunities, and attractive valuations makes these stocks compelling right now. Despite the recent sell-off of tech stocks, this sector is still a favourite among investors -- and for good reason. Technology companies are fun and exciting to learn about and follow, and many of their products are consumer-facing favourites of many investors.
In the current higher-interest-rate environment, the price paid for stocks matters more than it has in recent history. With that in mind, there are some stocks that are still trading for reasonable or cheap valuations that present attractive buying opportunities right now. Let's take a look at three of those stocks to see what makes them great buys.
PayPal For many years, the story of PayPal (PYPL 1.43%) was one of expansion, with revenue growth averaging around 17% each quarter. More recently, management decided to prioritize increasing the activity of its existing customers. The recent results show that this may have been a wise decision.
One example is how much more valuable each account has become to PayPal's bottom line. In the first quarter of 2023, active accounts remained relatively stable year over year, while transactions per active account have increased by 13%. This is proof that the focus on driving higher activity levels on existing accounts is paying off.
DigitalOcean The leaders in cloud infrastructure are household names. Amazon Web Services (AWS), Alphabet's Google Cloud, and Microsoft's Azure are the clear leaders in the space. However, smaller upstart DigitalOcean (DOCN 4.99%) is not only holding its own, but it's also growing faster than its tech giant competitors.
DigitalOcean caters to small and medium-sized businesses by offering affordable and transparent pricing as well as substantial customer support. This strategy has been paying off. In Q1 2023, DigitalOcean grew its revenue by 30% year over year, outpacing its competition. For comparison, AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure increased by 16%, 28%, and 27%, respectively.
DigitalOcean is also growing its largest customers even more rapidly than its revenue. Customers that spend more than $50 per month, called "builders and scalers," increased by 43% year over year. These customers now represent 86% of total revenue. This is an important metric to keep an eye on as it is an indicator of how DigitalOcean is able to continue to serve its customers as they grow and scale.
The company has only been on the public markets for a few years, but it's currently trading for valuation multiples below its historical average and not far from its all-time lows.
Endava Endava (DAVA 2.53%) may not be a household name for investors, but it should be. This IT consulting company has been putting up impressive numbers despite the fact that its stock is down 34% year to date and down 70% from its late 2021 high.
Third-quarter 2023 results, which represent the quarter ending in March, were impressive with revenue and earnings per share increasing by 20% year over year. Endava is also consistently cash flow positive, and it generated a 10% free cash flow margin for the quarter.
Endava has been growing its roster of large customers impressively. The number of clients spending more than 1 million British pounds ($1.24 million) in revenue reached 155 in Q3, an increase of 31% year over year. The overall customer base is also becoming more diversified. Endava's top-10 clients represented 33% of total revenue in Q3, down from 35% in the year-ago quarter.
The stock took a hit after earnings, mostly due to the fact that the company lowered its fiscal 2023 guidance. However, management thinks that slowing revenue from the private equity part of its customer base is a temporary pause due to the fallout relating to the Silicon Valley Bank collapse in March.
Endava trades for three times sales and 25 times earnings, both of which are near all-time lows. With strong results even in the face of some important customers' short-term challenges, the current valuation is compelling for this quickly growing business.

2023.05.30 12:12 justind0000 41M On and off split blurry vision
I have a right-eye paracentral scotoma from an assault with a high-powered laser in 2020. I also have a minor astigmatism in my right eye as well. After the assault, I had difficulty describing vision problems; unawareness in my right field of view, slowness to shift focus, difficulty scanning, etc. I have learned to cope with them, for the most part.
Today I experienced a new issue. I suddenly was experiencing blurred vision, but only on the right side of wherever I focused. Looking at faces, I would see a clear left-half and a blurry right-half. To see the rest of the face, I had to scan my vision to the right. It was the same for anything I focused on at any distance. My vision also had undulating waves on the lower left field of view in my right eye.
If I covered either eye the effect went away. My left eye's vision was normal, and my right eye was unchanged.
It last about two hours. I experienced motion sickness, headache and eye strain. About 6 hours later a second onset occurred, although less intense in the blurriness. Rizatriptan both times prevented a migraine.
I'll be making an appointment with my ophthalmologist, however, I am not holding my breath for more than a minute of their time.
No drinking, drugs or smoking. Rizatriptan prescribed for migraines related to the scotoma and visual disturbances.

2023.05.30 12:05 Soviet-Prussia Can't do anything after invading Poland as Germany.
| || | submitted by Soviet-Prussia to hoi4 [link] [comments]
For starters, I have only 24 hours in this game, so feel free to call me a complete beginner (or noob, depending on how salty you are). I have no DLCs or mods installed yet, besides the anniversary pack that came with the game. On a separate note, I apologise for the lack of photos, since my dumbass didn't realise my PrtSc key stopped working until I made this post.
So I play Germany with 1936 start date, with regular difficulty and Ironman enabled. I prioritize most of my national focuses and researches on industry, build around 10 Civs and focus on Mils for the rest of the game, train 10-15 Infantry divs and maybe 2-3 Panzer divs if I have the resources, and once I have that army XP I tweak my division templates (usually 7 infantry and 2 artillery for infantry divs) based on the current state of my logistics, and prioritize production on Infantry Eq, Arty, Fighters and CAS.
At the start, I can't even invade Poland, until I knew how to organise my Army and use my Air Force (I'm still struggling a bit with the Navy tho). After I do make the Polish capitulate, I start eyeing the West, like what most of you would expect. At this point, if I have the PP, I will either change the Conscription or Economy laws, to extensive conscription and free trade respectively, or focus on appointing military high commands. I will Anschluss Austria and do the treaty with the Soviets, so I get more factories and can research medium tanks ASAP. I will have around 70 infantry divs, 5-6 Panzers, 15 air wings and 25 ships at this point.
But here comes the problem: I can't invade anyone else. Mainly because if I justify and declare war on anyone in the West, it always ends with the UK naval invading me from occupied Poland and/or the northern states, because by now it's impossible to keep world tension below 25%, and the UK (sometimes France as well) guarantees whoever I am justifying against. Want to invade the Netherlands? Guaranteed by UK. Belgium? Guaranteed by UK. France? Guaranteed by UK, because of course they fucking are
. No matter how many divs and air wings I throw at the Dutch or the Belgians, I find that the war drags on for much longer than I hope (except for that one time I captured Amsterdam). I have to make sure the French don't take advantage of me not busting my army through the Maginot Line and invade my territory, all while my navy is getting slaughtered in the North Sea and my convoys raided one after another in the English Channel, even with escort, because Britannia rules the waves
. I have virtually zero Air or Naval supremacy, my logistics are kaputt and I get a shortage on rubber because both the Dutch East Indies and British Malaya aren't trading with me anymore. My divs get attrition, which is probably why they can't contain the invading Brits despite having a 5:1 advantage. Somewhere around here I will just quit, because there's no way I'm winning this war. This cycle has been going on for like a week now.
I just want to ask, what is the root cause of all this? Is it because of me? I am completely new to strategy games so tell me if I made any mistakes in my planning and execution. Or is it simply because I don't have DLCs and mods? I am very convinced HOI4 is a good game, even without DLCs, but my experience in it so far is telling me this game is unplayable if you don't spend money on all that shit. I am tired of wasting 3-4 hours everyday doing trial and error for little gain, and all the guides I find on YouTube are either too old or are played with all DLCs installed, so I will appreciate if any of you more experienced players out there could give me some advice. My second best attempt so far. My record was annexing Poland in November 1936.

2023.05.30 11:59 Fit-Comfortable-6031 List Of Cryptocurrencies Scams to Avoid Before Investing.
List Of Cryptocurrencies Scams to Avoid Before Investing
If you’re looking to invest in cryptocurrencies, you need to know the scams and what not to do. In this post, I’m going to show you a list of some red flags that will help keep your money safe and sound.
List Of Cryptocurrencies Scams to Avoid Before Investing My Name is Wayne and I’ve been investing in cryptos for over 5 years now. It’s important that before we dive into the meat of this video, we understand how it can be very confusing sometimes when trying to figure out which coins are good investments or just outright scams. So let me walk through all these different points with you so that by the end of this video, you’ll have an idea of how crypto trading works without getting scammed! Investing in cryptocurrencies is a risky business.
It’s terrifying to think how many people have lost their life savings because of these scams-please don’t let it happen to you! We’ve compiled a list of the most common cryptocurrency scams so that you can avoid them before investing in anything. You should never trust a shady-looking website with a .com address, and always make sure you do your research on any coin before you put your money into it. These are just some of the things we’ll be talking about in this blog post. Hi, The Crypto Cell is an education organization that helps newcomers learn about cryptocurrency investing so they can invest and trade responsibly and safely with our expert advice on diversifying your portfolio, buying low, selling high, and avoiding scams.
- Fake ICOs that are set up to steal your money. You can’t always be sure that an online cryptocurrency wallet is safe. A recent study found out that there are many fake ICOs in the crypto space which will take your money and run with it! For example, hackers managed to steal about $80 million dollars from users back in 2017 through one such phishing scam — “The Wolf of Wall Street” (2017). So if you’re looking into investing some funds make sure they come recommended by reputable sources or have a strong security system like two-factor authentication enabled so this doesn’t happen again…
- Non-existent exchanges or wallets where you can buy cryptocurrencies. Cryptocurrencies are not yet established enough to have their own exchanges. If you want to buy some digital coins, your best bet is usually going through an existing one like Coinbase or Kraken which will allow beginners, as well as seasoned traders alike, access with the ease-of-use features that make navigating the market easier than ever before!
- Websites that offer fake cryptocurrency giveaways in exchange for personal information, such as a phone number and email address Websites that offer fake cryptocurrency giveaways in exchange for personal information, such as a phone number and email address are nothing new. They popped up all over social media earlier this year when more people than ever before began investing their money into cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin or Ethereum. Websites promising free coins often ask users to provide sensitive data including bank account numbers which can result in identity theft if submitted without care.
- Stay away from any cryptocurrency that is not on a major exchange. Stay away from any cryptocurrency that does not have a major exchange such as Binance or Coinbase The safest way to invest in cryptocurrencies is by purchasing them on an established platform. These exchanges offer insurance policies and security measures so your funds are protected against hacks, bots, malware attacks, etc., which may affect other platforms like Local Bitcoins where you buy gold with bitcoin.
- Avoid cryptocurrencies with only whitepapers and no code. To be a successful cryptocurrency, you need to know that there are some things in this world that cannot be trusted. The first thing is the developers of your favorite coins and tokens — they might just disappear with all their money! Be sure not only do they have an idea but also code behind it so no one can steal away what belongs to yours or take advantage when something goes wrong (just ask anyone who invested in Bitcoin). So next time someone tries selling you on an Altcoin without any info available other than whitepapers, please remember this cryptocurrency scams list and make the right decision for yourself!
- Be careful of shady exchanges or trading platforms. There are many exchanges and trading platforms out there that can be dangerous to your coins. Make sure you only trade on established websites with transparency into their system, otherwise it might end up being a losing battle for them in the long run!
- Check the team behind the coin, their experience, and how transparent they are about their project. There’s no better way to invest in cryptocurrency than by checking out the team behind it. If you want a safe haven for your money that will be sure to have value 10 years from now, then coins with experienced teams are worth looking at! Cryptocurrencies are in a state of constant flux, and new scams pop up constantly. It can be difficult to know what is real and what isn’t when it comes to this emerging technology. The best thing you can do for yourself before investing is read everything you can on the subject, research every coin thoroughly, and only invest in currencies that have been around for at least one year with a solid market cap — these will likely not disappear overnight like most cryptocurrencies. If all of this sounds intimidating and you want help enacting these principles, let us know. 2023.05.30 11:59 wasabigirl_throwaway Is it a bad idea to combine a 0% money transfer card + loan to get the desired sum?
So, I’m a bit unsure on what to do here. I’m due to get a health related surgery privately in another country (EU, where my family is based) but since I’m not resident nor taxpayer of said country I was told I cannot pay in instalments.
After browsing this subreddit a lot and using several comparison services it seems clear to me that a 0% money transfer card would be my best bet.
Now, the thing is that I only started working last April (on a 22k wage) and my credit history relates only to klarna and paypal credit (of which I never missed a payment and have a limit of £2800).
I’m well aware that there’s no way any bank would tell me the credit limit I’m likely to get so I’m not sure I would even get the amount I need (around 5k).
So I was thinking, would it be silly to combine one 0% money transfer card (which MAYBE allows me to get, let’s say 2500£) with a loan? I’m not sure if getting a second 0% card would even get to another 2500£. I know this is all speculation but when trying the eligibility checker on santander the range of credit limit they provided me with was about 2600£ so I’m optimistic I can at least get one.
My living situation is quite favourable atm meaning that I do not pay any rent and I’m left with at least 800£ every month (sometimes less/sometimes more).
I stupidly didn’t get on the electoral roll when moved to my current place (in Oct) so as soon I realised the importance of that I registered (in April), I’m waiting for that to be amended on my record, which should be anytime soon.
So to recap my options would be:
- Plan A: get one 0% money transfer card hoping it would cover the whole 5k needed.
- Plan B: get two 0% money transfer cards hoping for 2500 + 2500
- Plan C: get one 0% money transfer card and a 2500 loan (or whatever amount is left to cover)
Which one makes more sense?

2023.05.30 11:46 throwawayTooth7 RIP Hopey, 9 1/2 year old Labradoodle
I grew up a kid with horrible allergies. Could never have a pet. Fast forward to I'm an adult and prior to my annual doctor appointment, my 10 yo daughter hands me a list of questions to ask him. On there is "Can we get a dog?". I'm thinking no way is he going to say yes. So I go and get tested for allergies and the doc says "Good news, you are not allergic to dogs anymore". Hmmm. That's interesting. So the wife and daughter start looking into dogs and to play it safe we end up getting a Labradoodle. She's been great. A few years later, they want another one. So we get one from the same breeder. Her name was Hope.
Hope turns out to be a very anxious dog. Always giving and wanting affection. She loved us more than anything. She was the playful, goofy dog. Did this mouth licking thing when she got nervous that was like slapstick comedy. I am an early riser and she always got up with me. Always there in the morning, wagging her tail, wanting and receiving pets. Sometimes I would try to sneak by so I would not wake her and have to give all of that attention. It's funny how now all you want is that "annoyance" back.
A few months ago, Hope, now 9 1/2 years old, was diagnosed with cancer of the lymph node. We had it removed, and she was on chemotherapy for a bit and did not tolerate it well. Last week she went downhill some more, and stopped eating. We spent most of the weekend at the vet ER and made the tough decision to put her at peace yesterday.
Now with her gone I am being hit very hard by how much I miss her. This morning I woke up and turned on the light where she would be sleeping and was sad she was not there to greet me. This little dog, so playful, so fun, so goofy, brought me so much joy. A pet I never thought I could have brought so much joy to my life.
I have gone through many stages of grief, sadness and relief. When she was first diagnosed, I thought "she will beat this, no way is cancer taking our Hopey." On Friday when she needed to go to the ER I still thought she would be fine and come out Ok. Then Saturday came and we found out she probably only had a few more days to live. We brought her home to give her some time with us and her older sister. But she had just gone downhill too much.
Early yesterday we made the toughest decision and put her at peace. I was relieved that the decision was made but was overcome with grief when the time came. When we got home the void became real. I'm trying to focus on how much joy she brought us but it's tough in this time.
I am posting this because I Hope (haha) it will help me with the grieving process. Thanks in advance for your emotional support.
Rest in peace Hopey. You brought us so much joy and we love and miss you so much.

2023.05.30 11:27 markyjones99 The Importance of a BA certification course in 2023
The entire gamut of business operations has undergone a great deal of transformation owing to the digital revolution. The field of business analysis in particular has undergone a lot of significant changes in this regard. In this article today, we will look at the evolution and growth of the field of business analysis as a whole. We will also discuss the future growth prospects in the field of BA and whether there is any real value in investing in a good quality business analyst certification course
It's important to understand the roles and duties of business analysts in the modern commercial environment. The increasing demand for skilled bar professionals has opened up a lot of exciting opportunities and avenues for individuals who are looking to build a long term successful career in the field of business operations. Thanks to this ever growing demand for BA professionals, we are also witnessing the growth of numerous BA certification training courses. We will also try and help our readers understand how to go about evaluating the worth of any BA analyst certification course. Picking the right course can be crucial in deciding the course of your future as a business analyst.
What is business analysis?
Before delving into the topics of how the ba industry is supposed to grow and how to go about choosing the best and most ideal ba certification course, let us first understand what business analysis is. In many cases, business analysts are looked upon as the agents of change and transformation. The main focus of business analysts is to transform aspects of the organization by understanding needs and requirements of consumers to deliver value to stakeholders. Business analysis is not just limited to traditional private business fields. The role of business analysis is now massive across all types of organizational activity whether it be government oriented or non-profit private initiatives.
Future Growth Prospects in Business Analysis
If you are contemplating a career as a professional business analyst then we have some really good news for you. Based upon studies conducted by numerous independent organizations and statistics compiled through years of painstaking research, it is clear to see that the field of BA is expected to grow massively in the next decade or so.
It has already taken the throne of being one of the top IT jobs in the industry currently in terms of rate of employment as well as cumulative remunerations. The annual average salary that a skilled business analyst can come to expect ranges from anywhere between $110k to $150k. It has also been widely reported that the pace of promotions and growth in the field is high compared to other fields. An experienced business analyst can expect an annual salary growth of around 37 percent on average.
According to data compiled and analyzed by IBM, by the year 2020 itself there were approximately more than 364,000 job openings in the field of business analysis. This number is further expected to grow at an aggressive rate owing to the growing popularity of BA across a whole host of different industries. According to advertisements found on Indeed.com, there are currently around 14k jobs listed that require good business analysts. Top hiring in this field include brands as large as Microsoft, Accenture, Apple, Ford, Adobe, CitiGroup and so many more.
Apart from the traditional IT oriented fields where the role of business analysis is most valued, other industries such as banking and finance, Media and Entertainment, Healthcare, Transportation, ecommerce etc. are all looking to hire capable business analysts who can help them to find constructive solutions to their long and short term business problems.
How to Identify the Right BA certification course
As already mentioned before, the growing popularity of BA has contributed to the growth of BA certification training programmes that can train individuals in the art of business analysis. However, there are currently so many of them that it can prove slightly tricky for individuals to choose the right business analyst certification course
So let us look at a few things which the best business analyst certification course
should offer to its clients. The first and most important thing is the quality of classes and the flexibility of routines as far as online facilities are concerned. The next thing to consider is whether the course only offers theoretical lessons or some form of practical industry based training that can actually make a difference in securing gainful employment.
Janbask Training offers not only the best in class when it comes to instructors and teachers but also some of the best softwares and user interface options available in the business analyst certification course
space. It additionally gives counseling sessions as well as interview training for prospective ba professionals so that they know what it's like to work in real world pressurized environments.
In this article today we tried to declutter the world of business analysis by explaining the duties and responsibilities of the role. We started off with a brief intro regarding what business analysis is and why it has become so popular. We also explained in detail the projected growth of demand that the BA field is set to witness in the coming years. We cited some statistics to back up the argument as well before delving into the topic of the ideal business analyst certification course
It's clear to see that the right business analyst certification course
offers the complete package to interested learners. This includes the cultivation of some technical skills as well personality oriented soft skills which will make your CV look more impressive and enable you to perform better in interviews. Janbask Training offers all of these things mentioned above and that is why we feel it is the ideal choice for a business analyst certification course

2023.05.30 11:22 OmegaTitanZ My Guild Wars Journey and Appreciation post (and miniguide to those wanting
Hello everyone, today I have finished the goal I had originally had set out for myself when I had started this game: GWAMM and 50/50 HoM and wanted to reflect my journey throughout my time and appreciation for this game with this post. Ill also be pointing out things I had wish I had known to those looking for their GWAMM and HoM as well.
Background on me as a player, I am a Guild Wars 2 player that started back in December 2017 and wanted to find a mmo that I wanted to enjoy since I grew up playing Runescape and wanted a change. This led me into starting GW2, learning about the world of Tyria, exploring content and fell in love with it immediately. Fast forward four years and I have become well versed in all of GW2 content and was playing on and off and told myself, why not try the original Guild Wars while I was waiting for the EoD expansion to come out?
I had already set myself that I would try out the game and I happen to remember the exact moment which lead me to want to play Guild Wars; Ingame I happened to stumble across a player with a title that I wanted for myself: God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals. A quick wiki search told me I had to achieve that title in GW1 to obtain it in GW2. Coupled with the fact that I was a lore nerd for all things Tyria, I had to see what Guild Wars 1 was all about.
Cue in when I ended up buying this game, I was excited after I had purchased the complete edition, wiki searching up the fastest way to get GWAMM while the game was downloading and searching up video guides on youtube, when I stumbled upon Peter Kadar's GWAMM and Elementalist guide videos. Yeah I was the kind of player that likes to read guides and minmax everything, and this game was no exception. Despite wanting to get GWAMM as quickly as possible, I also wanted to play to enjoy the story content in a linear fashion so I decided to make a roleplaying Prophecies character. I also chose Elementalist as my class (even though I had read that Mesmers were top tier DPS Classes), since I had picked elementalist as my first class in GW2 as well. Thankfully the name that I used for my GW2 Character was not taken, and with that my journey finally begins.
I remember my first impressions of the game: though admittedly it has good graphics for its time that aged like fine wine and had grown on me, my original assessment of the "bad" graphics; the lack of jumping and third dimension as well as the static combat compared to the dynamically fluid combat system of GW2 admittedly did throw me off slightly. Despite this I had set myself to start prophecies as well to grind out the Legendary Defender of Ascalon (LDoA) title as well to make my GWAMM easier. Hours later after grinding out all quests, Charr and Farmer Hamnet, as well as ticking my pre-searing checklist before I leave, I step out to post-Searing, not knowing that many hours in the future I would be super glad that I got the title before leaving. (1/30)
My subsequent journey became like this:
- Did every primary mission (including bonus missions) till I unlocked Lions Arch,
- Briefly played a bit of Nightfall and Eye of the North to unlock my heroes and finalise my endgame build. I ended up following the beginner Mesmerway comp from PvX wiki into the offensive mesmerway comp with a Fire magic Assassins Promise Ele build, getting my endgame armor and gearing up myself as well as my heroes with the money I would be earning playing missions. It was also around this time I stopped playing a bit due to EoD expansion for GW2, though I came back after a few months away.
- Finished Prophecies story, then Factions and Nightfall after, along with their respective hard mode counterparts and bonus missions/objectives, filling out storybooks along the way. (8/30)
- Worked on my Vanquish+Cartography+Skill Hunter titles at the same time. Athough admittedly this was intimidating to start working towards, It eventually became relaxing after I got into the groove, I would often vanquish 3 or so areas per day, which would take me a few weeks. Finished vanquishing Elona and Cantha first as I was dreading the caravan vanquishing from Tyria, which I ended up doing Maguuma to Ascalon in one sitting. Money for signets of capture would be acquired through the missions I had completed as well as the drops I would get while vanquishing. Learning the vipers jump and SaO chain for cartography was pretty cool as well. Also a huge shoutout to Textmod for helping me scrape the final few % to complete cartography, I'd imagine it would be frustrating otherwise. (20/30)
- I would also end up maxing my Sunspear and Lightbringer titles just from Elonian vanquishes and taking shrine bounties during the Double Elonian points week, although from my experience getting sunspear points were a lot easier so the storybooks so if you cannot afford to wait for double point week, I would probably recommend using it to get Lightbringer. I would also like to note I also did all my Cantha vanquishes under double Elonian faction week, which although inconsequential for my GWAMM, I would end up being glad I had done so for my HoM run. (22/30)
- For Survivor title I would afk farm exp at the Gate of Madness mission, found a video guide for it as well as looked at the PvX build but ended up using my standard Offensive Mesmerway comp and flagging my heroes far away at a safe distance where the portal spawning the infinite mobs would definitely not get destroyed by my heroes. Also did it in Normal mode instead of Hard mode for more consistency albeit taking a bit longer. (23/30)
- EoTN titles: I had also completed all my titles in the span of the double Northern reputation point week, Happened to get lucky with my Asura title by maxing it with vanquishes only with the boss bounty and rampager combos, Dwarf title was maxed while vanquishing while doing NM and HM dungeons with bounty (Minus Slavers exile HM, NM already gave me a headache), Ebon Vanguard and Norn Title were maxed with Vanquishes and Storybooks. Master of the North was completed while I was doing my other titles as well as completing the story quests NM and HM. (28/30) This left my consumable titles. Up until this point I had made my money by receiving story quest rewards as well as picking up all the loot dropped by foes during vanquishes. I had also been playing the game solo, so learning how to interact and trade with people in Kamadan, and my first trading memory was like magic. Only around then did I learn about farming Nick gifts (which I wish I had started doing earlier). Until then I had been buying Ales from merchants contributing to a tenth of my Drunkard title, which you could imagine me facepalming when I realised what a scam this was compared to buying them from other players. A few week of Nick gifts later, I finally got GWAMM by finishing my Drunkard and Sweet tooth titles by purchasing them with the ectos I had earned from nick gifts with other players (30/30)
Boy was I so happy when I finally achieved that title. I had clocked around 320~ ish hours to get GWAMM over the span of around 6 months (minus the time I took a break for EoD) which I was pretty happy about considering it was my first playthrough. At some point though, the magic of the game clicked. Instead of logging on to the game just to get some rewards for GW2 and to reach my goals, I started to log in because I genuinely enjoyed the game. I thought why not? I'll fill up my HoM as well just to keep playing.
- From completing GWAMM, (13/50). For my Devotion section, I had essentially begged in Kamadan for spare minis. It was there I would like to make 3 special shout outs: Kind player no 1, which after a little chat, I ended up joining their guild. He would and gave me around 13 Minis, A full set of Oppressors weapons and would craft me a destroyer weapon. You kind sir really made my day that day! (22/50) Kind player no 2, Whom after a little chat, found out he was a player who was returning to GW and was giving away his wealth. I ended up receiving 30 minis from him, as well two stacks of obsidian shards, for their generosity I was eternally grateful, ended up adding them: (26/50) Although there was no kind player no 3, I would like to make minor shout outs to a few players whom while I was chilling out in Kamadan, managed to find myself in a few 100k giveaways as well as getting a few freebie minis here and there to fill out my Devotion section. (27/50)
- For my Valor section, I had already received a full set of oppressors weapons and a destroyer weapon , so I had simply crafted two more destroyer weapons. Although I saw you could get a free tormented weapon from the wayfarers reverie event, I had simply gotten impatient and ended up buying an armbrace for the final tormentor weapon. Because I wanted to keep the minis and weapons that were dedicated, I ended up buying bank tabs just so I could keep them, (I was sentimental like that) (28/50)
- For my Fellowship section, I simply Farmed Glints challenge 9 times for the EoTN Hero armors, (1 Hero armor of which I got from Slavers exile NM) for my EotN heroes, farmed Stolen Sunspear armor and Mysterious armor pieces from Dakjah Inlet and Shadow Nexus challenge missions respectively, and ended up skipping Ancient armor remnants by buying Primeval armor remnants from other players (simply because I hated the Remains of Sahlahjah wurm mission after getting very unlucky RNG from armor drops from multiple attempts of the mission). I unlocked the remaining heroes I needed to unlock, as well as charmed the widow spider from a first time failed UW run, and charmed a level 20 black moa from the quest (I had already charmed a phoenix earlier in order to learn a SaO chain). I also learned about the whole pet death leveling process from this, getting my vampiric weapon from Shiro's blades which was bought from the Amulet of the mists from my Factions campaign completion). (36/50)
- For my Resilience section with the money I had from the Nick gifts, as well as the 2 stacks of obsidian shards I had received, I managed to buy all my armours, leaning towards the cheaper EotN armors. I ended up getting : Elite Kurzick Armo Ancient Armor, Vabbian Armor, Asuran Armor, Norn Armor, Monument Armor, and the heavily coveted Obsidian Armor thanks to the stacks of obsidian I had received from the kind stranger :) (44/50)
- And finally finishing off with my Honor section, I got my PvP title with rank 3 Zaishen title, through buying keys (Although at this point I was poor again and beginning to wait for my weekly gifts again, as well as wishing I did zaishen quests during my vanquishing days). At this point I had 34 statues out of 40, I realised in order to fill out the rest I needed to get the eternal conquerer statues for the elite zones, already dreading the rest of the statues due to my failed Underworld run I had done earlier. Although Fissure of Woe and Sorrows embrace I had done solo easily (While in FoW, I had crafted my obsidian armor), Underworld was proving a challenge even with video guides. It was then my guildies helped me out with a run, saving me from the PTSD of solo 4 Horsemen. Dhuum fight was... interesting to say the least, though I was disappointed to see it was not like the GW2 Dhuum fight. Urgoz's Warren was completed when it was a Zaishen bounty and it was pointed by a guildmate of mine that I would get a statue by completing the fourth stage of a Kurzick/Luxon title. I had gone for Kurzick statue with one vanquish away from rank 4, as I had given out my storybooks before for the Kurzick side which left one final statue. It was thankfully today I just happened across a bunch of people randomly running the deep while I was chilling in the outpost which I was kindly invited to and did a run with today, thereby completing my HoM. (50/50)
All I can say after this journey is that GW is such an amazing game and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with it as well as the friends I made along the way. In the end I have nothing but praise for this game and now I can see why there are so many diehard GW fans who would defend this game. Although as a GW2 player and from a GW2 standpoint I have no reason to continue playing the game, I can forsee myself still coming back every now and then playing this game for the same reason I play Guild Wars 2; in the end it was all for fun and the memories and the incredible journey I had.
Thank you all if you have read this far :)

2023.05.30 11:15 funbetweenthesheets Is she a narcissist? Am I?
Hey everyone! Sorry first, english is not my native language! Sometimes struggling how to word things.
I've only recently started doubting things, doubting my relationship.
I want to give you a little background. We've been together since 2005, married since 2016. She has ADHD, refuses medication or therapy.
Ok, so... Obviously in the beginning everything was fantastic. I helped her move away from her parents, who were in my eyes definitely abusive, especially her mother. Helped her build her own life. She was 19 back then, I was 24. We both had a big circle of friends, and support from my parents and brother, plus some of her family.
I don't even know exactly how it came to this, but 18 years later I have no friends left, neither does she. We still have our families, but that's it. There was always something wrong with my friends... And I believed her, thought so myself. I didn't want to spend time with them anymore. I stopped most of my hobbies, all I do now is travel with her or play video games.
I believe I may know what made me question things. Things have changed.
So about half a year ago I started a new job. 100% remote, but I visit the office here and there for a few days, and because it's 500km away, the company pays me a hotel room.
Life was suddenly so easy, so drama free... I actually just got up for work in the morning, got home, had the mental energy to do some sport and walk around a bit, prepare my food... And there was still a lot of time of the day left! I couldn't believe how easy life can be.
Second thing. I joined a World Of Warcraft Discord and got along with people. Like, REALLY got along. Only a few weeks after I had started the new job. Those people just talked to me! It felt friendly and natural, I got along with almost everybody, helped people, got help, and actually some of them became friends I think.
Now what bothers me... I told her about it because it's something positive and I wanted to share. She didn't like it I think. For a long time when she heard me typing, she'd ask "Who're you writing with!?", sounding irritated. Answering it's those Discord people made her shut down, not talk to me all day. I switched to just talking with them during the day.
Gaming evenings (a fixed day a week) with them suddenly had to stop, because especially on those days, she had something she needed my help with, something that needs to be done, so dinner will have to be late. By the time I'd be free, things were almost over.
Now I posted elsewhere about my general everyday treatment those last few years. She doesn't say "I love you", she doesn't look at me while talking, which is horrible because my hearing's bad, she interrupts me. I also feel like I can do nothing right, and when I make a mistake, she'll usually laugh at me, be angry, never just help or give me a second.
Now, having friends and some time to myself again already made me question things. I started thinking a lot, tried to do something for my mental health, mainly running around a lot outside. She noticed, tried to make me do sports along with her. This time I insisted I wanted to walk and run, which I like and she hates. She wanted me to go to the gym and go swimming with her. So suddenly I had an hour or so in the fresh air for myself. I think it did help me.
Then saturday a week ago, she did plan a hike she wanted to do with me... It turned out harder than she expected. I loved it! A good path through the forest, at least some of it, up and down, beautiful. She hated it. She told me to run ahead, in a friendly tone actually... So I did. Waited at a beautiful spot maybe 20 minutes later, and she was FURIOUS when she caught up with me. Yelled at me that she expected me to wait once it's no longer steep, or at a bench or whatever! Well I stayed with her the rest of the hike, but she stayed angry. She later told me she was angry because she can't move and she's fat and felt worthless... Obviously I was confused and comforted her. I actually felt sorry for her! But since then I felt treated so unfair, because that's something that keeps happening! She's upset, and I have to suffer for it. I distanced from her. Stopped initiating cuddling and kisses, which automatically means: No cuddling and kisses. I tried to offer her a bit of attention again a few days later, and I got SMOTHERED with attention, love, baby voice, that whole game for two days... It felt weird. I noticed that's something else that keeps happening... She's upset, she gets angery, I have to beg for any affection, and suddenly everything's fine again and I'm I get lotsa affection again... I started researching, and I started reaching out to old friends that I had hardly talked to in years. I started to dig in my memories, how I got so isolated, stopped doing things I love and seeing people I love, how she's now telling me all the time how horrible my mother and brother are, and how I feel I lost all confidence and trust in my own mind. On the other hand, I know those are tell-tale signs of gaslighting and narcissism, and I just don't know if I'm making them up, turning things in my own head until they fit that pattern!
I realised there's a chance I'm in an abusive relationship, that she may be a narcissist, that she may be gaslighting me. I made a plan to leave. Just leave, leave her a note, and try to move on, to get my brain into working condition again. But I grew distanced again. She kinda confronted me sunday night, and I couldn't bring myself to tell her she's gaslighting me or she's narcissistic, and that I plan to leave... I was afraid as hell what might happen, but I told her how much she hurt me, how unloved and unrespected I feel, by some of the things she does. She wanted to know if we had a future, I said I don't know. I should have ended it right there, run away.
We talked a lot, decided we'd both get therapy. Her assessment of the situation is that I have a depression, and of course she knows she has ADHD. I though ok, I can talk to a therapist and find out what the problem is, maybe get a professional to either confirm she's what I think she is, or maybe I'm just having a midlife crisis or whatever. It felt so crazy, that talk... I confessed I talked to old friends, mentioned only two of them (because those are male), and she was upset I'd talk about her with others, but not with her first. She got accusatory that I destroyed her safe space, that we had to work now to re-build her trust in me. I don't even know whether I want that...
Next day. She tells me it's good I'm getting therapy, but it's probably only me that changed, not her. I'm now trying to be as friendly and forthcoming and lovely with her as usual, but I'm also noting down things.
Part of me just want to run away as far as possible, but I honestly feel like I actually hurt her horribly, and need to fix this.
I'll have an appointment with my doctor today to find out what I need, what kind of therapy may help me.
Maybe some of you wonderful people had similar situations, and maybe you can help me find out whether she's manipulating me or I'm manipulating her without even knowing?

2023.05.30 11:14 the_real_kontorstol From healthy to bilateral menieres in a couple of weeks?
Hi. This is a long one, and I hope the timeline makes sense. I really need help, so thank you in advance. And if its relevant I'm an 31 year old male with no previous relevant medical history.
Six weeks ago or so I had a mild cold and I woke up with the feeling of a plugged ear on the right side, like the kind you get from a flight. This persisted througout the day, and the next day I also startet to feel that I could hear low tones (like the humof the aircondition) better than before. Later that night I got a bit of vertigo while sitting on the couch. It was like I had just spun around on the floor three times before sitting down. I did not feel any nausia. I think that it was lasted for about 30-60 minutes, and I just thought that it was because of the plugged ear. The next day was completely normal.
On the day after I again woke up with the fullness in my right ear, and that evening I got another round of mild vertigo. The same happened the day after that, but then again on the day after something changed. The fullness was gone, but the vertigo returned in the evening, and this time it did not go away. I had the mild rotating vertigo for a couple of days before going to my GP, and she said that it could be menières and that I need to see and ENT. Two days later I woke up with around 30 % reduced hearing in my right ear. The spinning vertigo was gone, but i had almost completely lost my balance. It felt like the world was on a boat in rough weather. Luckily this was the same day as the appointment with the ENT. He gave me a 9 days 50 mg prednisolone treatment for the hearing loss, and the hearing came back the same night. I also took an MRI, which came back fine.
After taking prednisolone for a few days my ear felt fine, but my balance was still gone and I started getting a lot of brain fog and fatigue. I had to rest for one hour for every hour I did anything. After the treatment, I slowly got my head back for a couple of days before things took a turn for the worse. The fullness in my right ear came back, but it felt different, it feelt deeper, and almost numb. And then it started to appear in my left ear as well. After a couple of days I got the feeling of hearing low tones better, and the morning after I woke with reduced hearing in both ears. This was a national holiday, so I had to go the the ER to get more prednisolone, and my hearing again returned the same evening. I went back to the ENT two days after, and he said that I can take prednisolone for three days if I get any hearing loss. We talked a bit about menières, and he said that it was very untypical, but not impossible. I asked to try diuretics, and got thiazide to try for three months.
One week later, the fullness in my ears had not improved, but maybe not getting worse either. I also took a hearing test that week, which was fine in my left ear but bad in high frequences on my right ear. My hearing was not great in high frequences childhood, so thats probably why. Since then the fullness have somehow been so correlated to my head positioning that it's, driving me crazy. If i tilt my head too much forward it feels like my brain is running into my ears, and it I go all the way forward it literaly feels like something is running down the back of my throat (it tastes weird too I think). The last part might be nocebo, but I'm not sure. If I tilt my head to the left, especially while laying down, I get tinnitus in my right ear, and if I tilt it too far right I get fullness. I have also had this triggering twitching in my eardrum/middle ear that lasts for a coypleof days.
Now I'm almost losing it because I cant sleep without looking straight up, and after doing that for a few days my neck is too stiff to sleep. My whole life is crumling around me, and I see no hope for the future. Thank you for reading, and I appreciate all help and support I can get.
