Dododex

Dododex says they spawn on the island but I’ve searched the island over and haven’t seen any

If I only have superior kibble and the dododex calls for basic, will it tame quicker or the same?

I’m playing on The Island (doing a tame everything run) and I got annoyed by stealth tames, and read that Arthropleuras have a stealth mechanic that lets them get ignored by creatures. The problem is, I went to the artifact of the Artifact of the Hunter cave to test this, and everything aggro’d on me. I was wondering if this was a glitch, or if this got nerfed/removed? Google isn’t helping find answers, and Dododex doesn’t say anything about it, but I did see things about taking them in caves vs out of caves causing issues (it was tamed in the cave). My world settings make the health a non-issue, but I was hoping to make Araneo and Onyc less annoying after a bad experience trying to tame Onyc flying into the ceiling.

For me it used to be accurate, but now it isnt. i changed a few settings, does dino resistance alter the amount of tranqs needed?

Currently using ASM to host and play because I here it’s more stable than base singleplayer, I’ve given it all the same setting and notice taming felt twice as slow too which I remember dododex singleplayer settings, I then changed all the settings dododex mentioned so
10 taming to 25 XP multiplier 10 45 hatch to 450 45 maturation to 1655.955
My only question is that is this the extent of singleplayer settings goes to, I’m not trying to leave the server running overnight, it will basically be a singleplayer server hosted dedicated, so that’s why I want to change the settings to fit

Hello, fellow dino enthusiasts. I recently got into ARK a couple months ago, and instantly fell in love with it. Having only around a half a year's experience with the game I'm what most would refer to as a "noob." I still have yet to clear a cave and I've only played single player. (After learning about parts of the drama, I'm glad I stayed that way.) I wouldn't say that I'm bad at the game, as I impressed myself when I was able to tame both a Spino AND a Carnotaurus before I even had a flyer. (Then I was stupid, and when transporting my dinos to a new base via raft I made the mistake of letting Shank, the spino, swim, and I accidentally led her right into a pack of megalodons, where she promptly died. RIP.) That being said, I AM NOT looking for feedback on how to get better at the game, or useful tips, etc.
This brings me to the second part. I'm sure many of you have used, or at least heard of Dododex. The users are also likely aware that there is a section specifically for "stories." Whether they be fanfictions, experiences, whatever, it doesn't matter. I've read some of the fanfictions there, and some are, well, mediocre. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there's some good stories out there, but I just haven't seen any worth giving a second glance. Now, I've always been a writer, having taken interest in it ever since I could type, and still remaining an avid writer to this day. In case you can't put two and two together, I took the liberty of writing my OWN ARK story. I prefer not to use the term fanfiction, for...reasons.
Why should you care? Well, remember my rant about how I was still relativity new and experienced with ARK? Well, at first I thought I was experienced ENOUGH with the game and its mechanics, but now that I've gotten quite a bit progressed, its becoming difficult to integrate video game mechanics into a story standpoint without making it seem like I'm narrating a video game but rather a new, fleshed out experienced. Primarily because I don't really understand the mechanics that well in the FIRST PLACE.
This brings me to the whole point of this post. I was wondering if any of the more experienced ARK players would be so kind to take time to read over what I have so far, and see if it even makes sense, as well as possibly giving me ideas or tips on how I can truly integrate the ARK into a whole new light, without straying too far from its original source. Also, when I say "experienced" players, that doesn't mean they have to be good at the game, as skill in this situation does not matter. Also, overall critiques and constructive criticism are welcomed.

TL;DR Looking for experienced ARK players to provide some feedback or insights on how I can make my ARK fanmade story better.

Can anyone confirm that Torpidity Stat goes up with each level? With references if possible. From what I found out so far and my source is on Dododex, it says Torp goes up each level. I am breeding and my Dinos started at 207, all exact same stats. I'm levelling melee and up to level 215. I have a baby with the new melee level and every stat is the same except torpor is up and I am just wondering if that is purely due to the fact it just goes up with level.

I'm new to breeding and I've got a question about how the stats are being passed down to the babies. I currently have 2 wild megatherium. F has good health while M has good stamina (checked in dododex). I keep trying to breed them but the babies only either inherit F's good health or M's good stamina. Do I need to keep going at it like it's some gacha pull or are there other factors that influence the stat inheritance? Also, sorry if this isn't the best place to ask questions like these. I've watched youtube videos and I'm afraid I probably don't have good enough reading comprehension since english isn't my first language but reddit's my last place to ask questions. Thanks

I have a problem with dododex. Specifically, I modified taming from 1.0 to 2.0. And I started taming a lystrosaurus level 100 to check the correctness. With 1 mejoberry, the taming jumps to ~22.6%, which gives 5 mejoberries for the total taming. In the meantime, I checked the same on taming 1.0. There it amounted to 11.3%, which looks ok.
And here the problem begins. After entering dodex and trying to compare, I first click the "with singleplayer settings" option and it automatically sets me to 2.5. But that doesn't match what I have in the game. Dododex shows higher values and requirements of 13 mejoberry
So I tried different settings in dododex and came up with 8.0 which is equivalent to taming for 5 mejo (100:26.3=4.4...)
With a taming setting of 1.0, this equals 4.0 in dodoex. (100:11.3=8.8..) which gives 9 meiobers.
In short, a taming setting of 2 is equal to a dododex setting of 8. Why? What's the difference between a website and a game? I play on fjodur

whenever i input the stats of my knockout/baby dino it shows that the stats of the dino is higher than its level. I am playing in Single Player mode with Casual Setting
