To give some background, I'm a fairly young minority(Southeast Asian) dad in a middle/lower class neighborhood in Texas, though I make about 2x the median household income. I bought my house without the consideration that I'd have a child at this age, but then life happens and now I have a different problem. I don't really trust the online rankings, but the school district I'm in is rated a constant 3/10 from elementary through high school, and Texas isn't known for good schools so there's probably some truth behind it. Due to this, the political climate, and the actual climate, I'm planning on moving somewhere North or to the coasts. I've been looking at places that are fairly educated and diverse, and I've narrowed it down to the suburbs of Chicago, Boston, and NY.
The issue now is that I don't actually know how to evaluate the school districts beyond looking at a proprietary rating on GreatSchools. The most important thing to me is my kid(s) will grow up in a happy and enriching place without feeling excluded as a minority. I'd like them to be successful, but I'm not too worried about things like the raw test scores because I don't believe those are true drivers of success(wasn't for me at least). As a result, I'm concerned about places that look good on paper but are 90% wealthy and white, especially since neither my wife nor I have any family in the country, so the "village" isn't quite there for our family.
I've done some reading on this and other subreddits, and a lot of suggestions boil down to "ask the parents in the area" or "visit the school and find out". For obvious reasons, this isn't a very easy thing to do in my case until I can at least narrow down the area. Has anyone done this recently and could share other ways of getting signals regarding the quality of a school district?

Introduction
Katara Deboise Johnson, was born to parents Herbert Robinson and Linda Johnson on February 19, 1983, in Georgetown, Texas. With 4 additional siblings, Katara would eventually relocate to Taylor, Texas, where she would continue to grow and thrive into adulthood.
Known as “Tara” by family and friends, Katara was described as outgoing, smart, popular, hard working, reliable, and extremely independent. Early on, she acquired a deep love for sports, basketball in particular, and was a devoted member of her local church. Katara’s straight A’s at Taylor High School, and her athletic ability on the court, eventually led her to receive a full College scholarship to Central Christian College in McPherson, Kansas. Despite turning down the scholarship in order to remain close to home, Katara worked diligently as an assistant manager at her local Taco Bell.
Timeline
On August 25, 2004, Katara worked and completed a closing shift at Taco Bell, located at 2009 North Main St, Taylor, Texas, 76574. After her shift ended, she drove to her mobile home off of North Dolan Street, where she lived alone. (Note, the distance from the Taco Bell to Katara’s mobile home is less than a 5 minute drive.)
The following day, after not hearing from Katara for several hours, Katara’s grandmother and 6 year old nephew decided to stop by her home—only to discover a gruesome scene. Katara would be found lying deceased in her hallway from an apparent gunshot wound.
Investigation
During the earlier hours of the investigation, neighbors confirmed seeing Katara arrive home, but would also notice her red Mitsubishi Lancer gone mere hours later—eventually to be found at the Thorndale Community Pool, about a 13 mile distance away from Taylor and into the neighboring county. In regards to the crime scene, Katara’s family reported that there was no blood inside of the residence, and no obvious signs of a violent struggle. Investigators later discovered that the back door to the trailer was unlocked, and slightly open.
Conclusion
Katara was 21 years old at her time of death, and she would be 40 today if her life wasn’t abruptly and unfairly taken from her. Despite the setbacks, the frustration, and the lack of answers, Katara’s family hasn’t given up their fight to one day bring Katara’s killer(s) to justice. They do everything they can to make sure Katara isn’t just another unsolved case or a forgotten victim in the system.
“Katara was a very beautiful person. She loved everybody, and everybody loved her. My mother is on one side of her, I’m on the other side of her, she’s right in the middle…if there had been some kind of noise, we would’ve heard. She was special, and she’s going to be missed.” Rodney Johnson, Katara’s uncle, told KVUE News.
In August of 2019, the Cold Case Unit at the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, began assisting Taylor Police with Katara’s investigation, testing apparent DNA samples on “some items” according to Taylor Police Chief, Henry Fluck. The results of that testing is unknown, and as of today, this case has no promising leads and remains unsolved.

Hey guys need help putting together a school list I know I have a low mcat I retook 5/12 waiting on results. However I want a list of schools that are more holistic as I have lots of shadowing scribing and research hours. 500-1000 each probably. I also have published papers and done presentations. I’m probably going to go more DO, TCOM specifically as I am a Texas resident. do I have a chance at MD schools.

Legacy and Impact on the Sport
“Watershed moment” is what Larry McReynolds used to describe Jeff Gordon’s first career win in the 1994 Coke 600. A 22 year old racer from California with an open wheel background was something unheard of in NASCAR at the time. That same 22 year old winning one of the sport’s biggest races was even more preposterous. The win would not only begin to propel Gordon into NASCAR superstardom, turning him into a household name who transcended the sport like no other, becoming a bonafide A List celebrity in the process, but fundamentally altered the landscape of the sport. What Jeff Gordon did for the sport can not be understated. What Babe Ruth did for Baseball, what Michael Jordan did for Basketball, what Tiger Woods did for Golf, Jeff Gordon did for NASCAR. The quick success of the young, clean cut, personable driver from California helped grow the sport from its regionally dominated southern roots into a nationally and internationally well known sport, so much so it became the 2nd most watched sport behind only football. Gordon provided audiences with a different type of driver to cheer for. Not cut from the same cloth as the typical driver, Gordon brought in an entirely new audience which sparked a culture rivalry between the new (Gordon) and old (Earnhardt) on track and off. With this new audience and rivalry, media attention, viewership, and sponsorship all grew as new tracks not only entered the sport, but thrived. The success of Gordon was the beginning of the youth movement in the sport as owner’s radically changed their perspective from veteran southern drivers to young guns from across the nation. It opened the door for the Gillette Young Guns in the 00s, West Coast drivers like Kevin Harvick, Jimmie Johnson, and the Busch Brothers, to dirt drivers like Larson, Stenhouse, and Bell, and guys who grew up Gordon fans getting their shot at a young age like Joey Logano and Denny Hamlin. Where the sport is today and who is in the sport today is due to Jeff Gordon.
Ownership Success
Jeff Gordon convinced Rick Hendrick and Lowe’s to take a shot on Jimmie Johnson, another young kid from California who drove anything with an engine to great success. Bringing in Chad Knaus, an old Rainbow Warrior on the 24, Gordon helped form one of the the most dominant DriveCrew Chief pairings of all time, going on to be 7x Champions winning 83 races. Gordon’s ownership success did not end here. Taking on an even bigger role for Hendrick Motorsports, he revitalized the organization that was slumping after he departed. He assisted with HMS Track Attack Program, which only furthered the organizations dominance on road courses. Gordon also recruited Kyle Larson to the former 48 team, winning 10 races and the championship in 2021. Named Vice Chairman in 2022, Gordon is set to replace Rick Hendrick and guide the organization in the future.

The Greatest Seasons - 1997 and 1998
1997 Gordon went from champion to all time great at the young age of 25. 10 wins, 22 Top 5s, 23 Top 10s in 32 races, winning the championship.
He won the Daytona 500, Coke 600, Southern 500, which led him to being the second and final winner of the Winston Million. He won another million by winning the All-Star race. He also won at Rockingham, Bristol, Martinsville, Pocono, Auto Club,, Watkins Glen, and Loudon.
Gordon did even better in 1998. In 33 races, he set a modern era record of 13 wins, with 26 Top 5s, 28 Top 10s, and a 5.7 average finish.
Gordon would win the Coke 600, Southern 500 (No Bull 5 Winner, 1 Million Bonus), the first ever night race at Daytona in the Pepsi 400, Brickyard 400 (No Bull 5 Winner, 1 Million Bonus), both road courses, swept Rockingham, along with wins at Bristol, Pocono, Michigan, New Hampshire, and the finale at Atlanta.
In the final 20 races, Gordon’s worst finish was 7th, posting 10 wins and 19 Top 5s. He had 8 consecutive Top 3 finishes, during that stretch he won 4 straight. After a disappointing 5th, he went on to post 5 consecutive Top 2 finishes. He ended the season winning 3 out of the final 4 races.
His 1997 and 1998 combined seasons led to 2 championships and 23 wins, 48 Top 5s, 51 Top 10s in 65 races. It included 6 Crown Jewel Wins (1x Daytona 500, 2x Coke 600, 2x Southern 500, 1x Brickyard 400) and 4 million in bonus winnings.
Conclusion
Nobody was better than Jeff Gordon in my eyes. He was the most influential driver the sport will likely ever have and was the sports greatest driver. He grew the sport to new heights and opened the door for hundreds of drivers. He has the modern era records for nearly every major stat from Wins to Poles to Top 5s and Top 10s. He won the biggest races multiple times over. He won championships. He is a successful owner.
Jeff Gordon is the undisputed GOAT of NASCAR.

Alabama was the favorite to win the SEC West last season, but the Crimson Tide lost to rivals Tennessee and LSU (both on the road), resulting in a 6-2 conference finish.
LSU also finished 6-2 but won the division thanks to their victory over Alabama. The Tigers were predicted to finish 5th behind Alabama, Texas A&M, Arkansas, and Ole Miss. They ended up beating 3 out of the 4 teams predicted to finish ahead of them in the standings. They would have won the division outright but lost 38-23 to Texas A&M. Since they beat Bama, they still went to the SEC Championship despite the A&M loss.
Although they lost to Georgia (to no one’s surprise), they dominated Big Ten West champion Purdue 63-7 in the Citrus Bowl, and the Tide did the same to Big 12 champion Kansas State in the Sugar Bowl by a score of 45-20.
LSU returns QB Jayden Daniels and LB Harold Perkins among other star players on the roster, but Alabama lost QB Bryce Young and outside linebacker Will Anderson to the NFL. The Tide willl need to figure out who will replace Young, whether it’s Milton, Simpson, or Buchner.
Obviously these two teams are the favorites to compete for the SEC West title (unless Arky, Auburn, Miss St, Ole Miss, or A&M surprises), so who do you think will win the SEC West between these two?

TL;DR version up front:
Our cat (5, male, neutered, indoors only) has viciously attacked my wife twice and shown signs of aggression several other times in the past two months. We believe the reason is due to a brief fight with an outdoor cat that got inside (no injuries). He only attacks when she picks up one of our other cats around him, maybe confusing who she's holding for a foreign cat, and he attacks HER, not the other cat. He has reacted strangely/aggressively(?) when I myself have done the same, so it's not her in particular.
He has no other behavioral or health problems. He does not show aggression when he sees cats through the window outside. He is an amazing, sweet and loving cat outside of these handful of incidents that we are trying to make sense of. (All of our cats get along fine with each other btw)
Does anyone have any experience with a feline behaviorist? What was the experience like, what to expect? Any recommendations in central Texas? Or any online resources for treating redirected aggression?

Detailed version: (feel free to skip if you're in a hurry)
My wife and I share a house with our four cats: six-month-old female kittens Mimi and Melon, and adults Marco (5yrs, neutered, indoors only) and Mau (4yrs, neutered, indoors only). A couple of months ago, neighborhood cat Kiki invaded our home, triggering a fight with Marco. This was Marco's first violent encounter, leading to an immediate burst of displaced aggression towards my wife. (Incident #1, two months ago) He had never had any experience remotely similar to this for his entire life leading up to this.
After Incident #1, Marco returned to his usual loving demeanor. A little later, Melon and Mimi were isolated upstairs post-Melon's spaying surgery (Mimi was locked up with Melon to keep her company). After about a week of isolation, Mimi unexpectedly emerged downstairs, surprising Marco in the same location where his skirmish with Kiki had occurred. This surprising encounter rekindled Marco's aggressive behavior, resulting in him attacking my wife as she quickly picked up Mimi in order to return her to her room. (Incident #2, one month ago)
Though Marco's behavior returned to normal for a while after Incident #2, he attacked my wife again yesterday when she bent down to pick up Mau. (Incident #3)
Our only theory so far is that Incident #1 might have left an emotional imprint on Marco, causing him to associate the location where it happened with the feeling of aggression. Incident #2 overlapped enough with Incident #1 (same location, and a similar experience of seeing a cat he did not expect) to not only trigger aggression, but to also expand his triggers to include certain stimuli from Incident #2 (like picking up another cat in front of him).
Several hours after Incident #3 yesterday, I picked up Mau in front of Marco to test Marco’s response. Marco did not attack me, but he did meow in a strange (maybe tense?) way. It was a strange meow that we basically never hear from him. To us, this supports the hypothesis that seeing another cat being picked up, is likely indeed one of Marco’s triggers. (We assumed we probably pick the cats up in front of the other cats all the time, but it turns out maybe not)
We picked up Mau and other cats in front of him again today though and he did not have any reaction whatsoever. So maybe it's the seeing another cat picked up + some other stimulus we haven't pinpointed yet. Trying to understand the mind of a cat is...not an easy task.
This is just a theory of course, as we are not experts. If anyone has any other ideas about what could be going on here, we’d love to hear from you.
